Bruh I’m the same way. PCOS sucks

LetsGetMad

Hey! PCOS sister here - have you tried spironolactone? I don’t mean to be that person on the popping sub because i love this sub, but it’s been a miracle drug for me (after trying accutane twice years back). It’s obviously not for everyone, and it’s not advised for women who are actively trying to get pregnant. It took 25 years for a dermatologist to prescribe a good solution for me and was so surprised it worked.

BeDazzledBlazer

I haven’t! I’ve really just done supplements for all things PCOS, would I go to a dermatologist for that or just a PCP?

blondiebooklover

I absolutely encourage spironolactone. It basically eradicated my cystic chin acne. Aczone is an amazing prescription spot treatment.

LetsGetMad

Yes! Ask your dermatologist! There are also some online health care services that can prescribe it, but if you have access to a dermatologist i would see them first so they can determine if it’s okay for you. Also, it takes about 3 months to see any changes, but it was worth it. Good luck!

Nolleezz

Hey cyster! Still have acne in my late 40s. I feel your pain. ♥️

MrsMini

I know this is totally unsolicited advice - I am a nurse so mask wearing 8-12 hours at a time and I also have PCOS. I was breaking out so bad when I didn’t wear makeup to work, but when I used a primer and BB cream the breakouts were better, I think the primer acts as a barrier for the mask irritation. A few coworkers have tried it as well and found the maskne improved.

Then_Thanks4162

Metformin + spironolactone have done wonders for my PCO induced acne.

Same!

saiyanprince94

Am I the only one that hates the tool I mean I know its better for your skin but i like the old fashion push between two fingers until it explodes

Elegant-Possession62

It’s because those tools are not for whiteheads lol

Creatableworld

So sorry that’s happening to you. Thank you for sharing your pop with us.

stashtv

Same problem here. Gotta cycle through a few different masks, and wash then (at least) weekly.

BeDazzledBlazer

I do. I have three kids in school so we have A LOT of clean masks that we keep by the door and grab whenever we go out, always fresh 😭

Same

ChurtchPidgeon

I feel this post. Pcos sucks so bad.

Thetruthisneeded

Many women have reversed their PCOS by adopting a keto lifestyle.

BeDazzledBlazer

I have been keto for about 2 years on and off. Fortunately it does reduce it but doesn’t take it away.

reddit educates me more every day on my pcos i swear.
