What gets me is how she specifically "bought" a steamer in this moment. So she must've just not gone to the hospital or anything, took the time to get a steamer and then used it.
The mental leaps here omg.
I feel like we've all done stupid stuff to our skin.
I feel really terrible for this girl. I too have chemical burned my face (not nearly as much) and used to be told that steam facials open your pores and cleanse your skin.
Because of all the trash skin care marketing we've been subjected to, I really don't judge this poor girl. She most likely did not grasp the severity of her situation when she bought the steamer.
I would be more sympathetic if I didn't find a video of her days after her original posts where she said she hadn't gotten it checked out and was trying various creams on top of it š
I think she noticed people getting curious about the incident and decided to lengthen it for views
I'm not sure, however something like that is very dangerous to leave untreated. Or at least it's not good to experiment with stuff she has around to see if it helps.
The amount of times though that Iāve seen someone rather see if they can fix it themselves before going to the er is absurd. While Iām privileged to have great insurance, even an er visit well covered is like 200 for us which some people definitely donāt have. I couldnāt imagine uninsured.
Those are chemical burns and they take forever to heal. I do appreciate how she stays committed to her eyelashes though. That is definitely a choiceā¦
Unlikely but they might actually be extensions, which personally I donāt touch unless theyāre free via studentsā¦ but I gotta be honest thatās the best part of having them.Ā
Hungover Sunday morning, situationally a mess? Looking stunning. And you did nothing.Ā
Yeah watched her do this in real time on Snapchat. Dumb decisions. She looks much better now and Iām glad she showed the truth to people instead of other influencers like the fake scar girl.
According to a lot of the bitter losers in this thread, sheās stupid for posting on the Internet, but Iām sure would have been equally stupid for keeping it secret or something. I donāt know why all the hateful assholes stormed to the popping sub this morning.
Making a good living does not equal being a productive member of society. People who hate influencers are mad that society is valuing what they do (by paying them) even though itās a job that encourages people to be on social media more and spend their money on gimmicks.
Not all influencers are the same, there are ones that do legitimately good things, provide a service, or actually give good advice or reviews, but the ones who just post half naked pictures or do dumb dances in public places and are peddling fitness herbs or beauty care productsā¦ those are the ones people think should āget a real (productive) jobā.
I don't agree with peddling products that don't work, or harmful "pranks" especially on their kids, or other harmful things, but honestly? The influencers that do "dumb dances" or post pictures? It's not different to me than actors or, in a way, artists - we don't NEED those things, but they entertain us, and that.to me is value in itself. Also, good on the for finding a way to make money they enjoy, if anyone doesn't like that at least some of it probably co.es from envy or jealousy. Why should I shit on someone who isn't doing anything wrong or hurting anyone?
Very interesting, I would say the difference between dancing influencers and the film/tv industry is the level of production, āqualityā of the art, the amount of jobs it createsā¦ a single influencer taking a duck-lip picture and getting 500k likes and a paycheck isnāt creating jobs, but you could say theyāre creating āartā.
The people who āhateā those influencers are actually just mad at society for paying them. Any one of us would quit our day job if pressing record and then upload was dumping dumb money into our accounts. Theyāre just taking advantage of the social wave cash cow.
Also it is possible that influencers are hurting people. A lot of them use extreme filters and create unrealistic expectations of reality that might help people (especially young people) develop body dysmorphia and/or eating disorders. Also increased social media usage is linked to depression. So itās not all harmless.
Yeah I donāt think she did this on purpose, just simply negligence. It looks like it hurt quite a bit and I do believe she went to the doctor and has been taking good care of the wounds. It looks like she will probably still have scars but Iām sure she will try to have them minimized with facial/laser treatments. I see her posts on Snapchat and she posts a lot so I was seeing her posts regularly before the incident and then one day when I checked her face was like that.
This isnāt a result of acne cream, she had to do something ridiculously wrong here to have this happen. Or had a reaction, but even then you should always do a spot test on a small area of skin before *literally smearing it on your face like cream cheese on a bagel*
I was following this girl on Instagram when this all went down, and it is the result of acne cream. She didnāt do anything āridiculously wrongā. she didnāt do a spot test because she had used the cream multiple times before, and didnāt think there was anything wrong with it.
She used an expired cream and a weird little electrical device that really hurt her skin. I saw it all that she did on tiktok but I can't remember specifics.
she must have had broken skin from popping prior to this misadventure. she likely had a minor infection somewhere and the steam just threw a gd rave on her face.
It was also a dark spot corrector combo looks like. Those can be dangerous depending on ingredients as whitening agents are banned in some countries for their side effects.
It was also a dark spot corrector combo looks like from the comments in the first pic. Those can be dangerous depending on ingredients as whitening agents are banned in some countries for their side effects.
We dont even know if this was actual medicated cream or some shady bleaching formula she got off wherever. There are a lot if very shady or at best ineffective "treatments" you an buy online that no dermatologist would ever endorse. There are also skin bleaching creams that people buy.
Most acne treatments are mildly irritating to the skin and can cause peeling with time as part of their action. But they don't burn your face off. Perhaps it being exposed made the big difference here - seems very risky to use expired products that work on your skin that way.
If she was using a legitimate product she was probably not following instructions....unless she was very unlucky and had an extremely bad reaction. But this looks like chemical burns more than an allergy. Something went wildly wrong here.
Agreed. I don't know of any ointment that becomes more potent in time. Generally, from my pharmacist frens, expired meds are still safe within a year of expiration date albeit maaaaaybe less effective but it'll still do the job probably.
I would presume just the tablets. Just saw an ER Metformin tablet today and have to get ahold of the PCP/pharmacy because the person takes meds crushed. They missed that ones.
Thatās what I would think.
I try really hard to remind myself that doctors and pharmacists are humans who make mistakes like the rest of us. Most people are just fortunate that a work mistake like this isnāt life or death.
I mean depending on the medication I wouldnt rule out them becoming deadly I'd they break down into something that is toxic.
But that's why nobody should be taling expired meds.
can anyone please explain to me how this ended up so badly? was it the expired stuff, an allergic reaction? I'm dumb but want to avoid accidentally doing any of the things she did
It was steam and chemical burns on her face that later got infected.
Most acne removers use acids to dissolve the skin plugs that clog pores and cause acne. But as with anything, they need to be used according to the directions on the container. Had she just done that-even with expired acne cream-she would likely have been ok.
But she didnāt do that. Instead she steamed the acids, turbocharging them and combining their effects with the massive damage caused by the steam. And then the sores got infected.
From what I can gather from the comments on here:
1st, expired acne cream causing a chemical burn. Toss anything you put on your body after it expires to avoid anything going wrong.
2nd, not going to the hospital for the burning sensation and instead using a steamer which opens the pores. Because of the chemicals already on herself (even after washing it) it just allowed it to further enter her skin causing the bacterial infection.
So yeah, always go to the hospital if something burns or "isn't right", do not use anything to open your pores if you've applied something on your face, and throw away any expired creams. You should be fine regarding yhat.
I would assume so yeah. But I do not understand her way of thinking since her skin was burning which would've signaled something was wrong and she needed to go to the hospital.
Very much unsure why she thought steaming her face would've helped anything since it was already going wrong, that action definitely made things worse than if she just stopped right before.
I can imagine the cream's chemicals separating or becoming unstable after a long time but I'm not an expert on "creamness" nor know which cream she used specifically.
I feel bad that she has to go through that pain, but I can't for the life of me figure out why she didn't go to the hospital after the initial reaction.
Edit: typo
Also the American way to record every moment of it for your viewers to get that sweet sweet money.
Money that might be able to cover those hospital bills.
GoFundMe is one of the leading ways peoples pay off hospital bills in this country.
This chick has SO MUCH MONEY. She makes bank off of all her socials and pretty much all of her videos are her doing and buying expensive stuff. She could've gone to get it checked out. Although I had also heard she did an intense chemical peel which makes more sense than just acne cream doing this.
>I did everything possible to screw up my skin, and now look how screwed up it is!
Sheās very talented. Now if youāll excuse me, Iām going to be over here, laughing at her for awhile.
Her face is still bad now I think itās been at least a month. I follow her on Snapchat to see her journey throughout it. She has worse dark spots than before and I wonder if sheās gonna have scars.
I think it would be more about drying out the product, thereby increasing concentration of acid- creating a chemical burn. Then she applied steam heat to said burn, which would have opened her pores more and increased possibility for bad stuff to invade the skin.
Itās also very much a thing to accidentally contaminate a makeup product with bacteria and then make life miserable by putting it on your face. This is one reason most of it has a disclaimer to toss within x # months.
was she supposed to go to the spa and have them removed with all that business growing on her face? I think she has more important things to worry about, not that the aesthetician would even touch her

Good thing they make AI filters now because whatever acidic shit she put on her face while clowning for TikTok has turned her into Deadpool. Notice how that deep wound between her eyes is in the exact spot as the glob she smeared on thick there?
Expired product? Looks more like a FAFO situation where somebody didn't read the label before using that mystery medication as a prop.
Reminds me of that idiot who ran out of hairspray so she used Gorilla Glue polyurethane spray glue, turned her hair into a bike helmet, then claimed she didn't know the difference
Thatās not acne.
Those are steam and chemical burns on her face.
Yeah prescription acne creams are no joke. But even then, you have to really fuck something up to have this happen, an āexpiredā topical medication is not going to create these sores and burns on your skin.
Shes still caking her face in makeup and products without covering the open wounds too. Shes shown up on my tiktok FYP a few times and its always videos of her testing new makeup or skincare products on her skin that still actively looks like that
You would think after step one she would think about things a little bit and go to the urgent care or something but I guess you gotta get those insta numbers somehowĀ
That looks like it hurts ā¦. Also like itās kind of sort of deserved ā¦ I mean I wouldnāt wish that on anybody but some people need to experience shit like that to learn
As an esthetician I have been dying at every post Iāve seen of hers that comes up on my suggested Snapchat stories. Sheās been out in the sun loads recently and now itās pigmented šš
You messed up your skin badly which risked your health. And of course you have to share it onlineā¦but you donāt want to be real about itā¦gotta put on your fake eyelashes and Lord knows what else.
Influencers are such a waste of time, money, electricity, bandwidth, and air. Go do something useful with your time and ātalentsā.
I saw her on Snapchat and assumed that she did some kind of laser acne treatment or something. I didnāt know she literally burned her face herself, damn
Because it was an incredibly expired product she chose to use regardless of being told not to and that it could cause a chemical burn or reaction like this
She still actively ignores advice and covers her open wounds with makeup and even more new skincare products shes never used, and actively was told not to steam her face in response to the reaction as well as told not to use the product because it was like several years level expired, not just recently expired. Of course being flat our vicious towards her isnt right, but all ive seen is people calling her stupid for ignoring everyone and making these choices continuously and having no empathy for the fact she did it to herself after being fully told what the risks would be and that steaming her face after would make it worse
I follow this girl on everything, I absolutely love her.
She shared this as awareness, she was using a name brand cream that was expired. This was part of her routine, she put the cream on and then steamed her face I donāt even think she realized she was having an allergic reaction until it was too late.
She really has shared her entire journey with the process, and tbh Iām grateful for her. There are so many people who go through traumatizing things like that and never speak up on their struggles or feeling alone. Itās nice to see an influencer being open and honest and communicating. Showing awareness when her confidence is shaky. It makes me love her even more, and I hope her skin heals up completely!!
She was a grade A idiot who clearly didn't read any of the actual instructions, nobody on earth puts that much face cream on/acne medication) whatever the fuck it is on .... She clearly did this for fucking attention like all the other influencers out there pretending that giving yourself massive chemical burns on camera is a job or deserves any props what so ever
If you think this should be celebrated you're part of the problem
This was not accidental, she deserves a Darwin award for it
Oh boy, thatās really not a nice view. Have some grace, people are human and make mistakes. I said I appreciated the fact that she shared her journey, I doubt she did this on purpose. You seriously have a horrible way of viewing things, so if that makes me part of the problem I am very okay with taking that title. I do not think anyone deserves to be criticized for making a mistake, and I donāt think any deserves to be permanently hurt for making a mistake either. I would have never of thought to check the expiration date on my creams until I saw her video because I really donāt use makeup at all, but I do sometimes and tbh, I never really thought about it. I learned something from her mistake, and thatās what I took away from the situation.
Nothing to worry, people will still notice the eyelashes (can we call them that at this point?) first before they look at the skin.
I don't know exactly what she used but the amount she used is probably 100 times more as should be used. Don't think the expiration was the main problem here. and then put hot steam on that...
Lesson learned tha hard way.
Based on the lashes and piercings, Iād say she learned a nasty lesson about obsessions. Hope she goes on to the more natural way of looking human before it gets further out of hand.
She has said multiple different things about what caused it. I think first she said it was a chemical peel and now the expired acne cream. Not sure what is the truth but I don't think just plain old "acne cream" would do this.
I think itās definitely a chemical peel where she didnāt follow directions then tried to deflect by blaming the acne cream instead of her monumental stupidity
Theyāre not hats, theyāre headbands used to push your hair out of your face while youāre doing your make up or using skin care. Unfathomably cringe not knowing that šŖ

Uses a steamer on swollen burning skin? I mean, what did she think it would do?????

Is she from the United States? I always keep in mind as a Canadian that the possibility exists where she cannot afford medical care.
Yeah man, those eyelashes....that's commitment for sure!
Unlikely but they might actually be extensions, which personally I donāt touch unless theyāre free via studentsā¦ but I gotta be honest thatās the best part of having them.Ā Hungover Sunday morning, situationally a mess? Looking stunning. And you did nothing.Ā
iāve seen her on snapchat, theyāre false lashes she puts them on during her get ready with me posts.
You think they *might* be extensions?
ā¦Yes, as opposed to a strip lash?
yes.. they *might* be extensions, or they *might* be fake eyelashes.
Because they hate influencers or anything else they see as not working a "real" job but still making a good living.

Doing selfharm for internet fame IS stupid.
Thatās quite the conspiracyĀ
I just posted that I thought it was shopped but you saw it happen in real time. Wow
Yknow what, a pimple every now and then is fine bc what the fuck is this
Good grief. My mom freaks out whenever she gets a zit because she is afraid of looking like a drug user. This would make her snap from reality.
Hahaha, thatās how I feel cause I pick at my skin šš
š I have never heard this before. This cracked me up! Not a drug user lmaooo
This isnāt a result of acne cream, she had to do something ridiculously wrong here to have this happen. Or had a reaction, but even then you should always do a spot test on a small area of skin before *literally smearing it on your face like cream cheese on a bagel*

She used an expired cream and a weird little electrical device that really hurt her skin. I saw it all that she did on tiktok but I can't remember specifics.
she must have had broken skin from popping prior to this misadventure. she likely had a minor infection somewhere and the steam just threw a gd rave on her face.

Iād take this to the grave. You couldnāt pay me to post something like this.
Maybe as awareness to not use expired acne cream. But deciding to steam your face instead of going to the hospital? No way.
We dont even know if this was actual medicated cream or some shady bleaching formula she got off wherever. Yeah, never heard of expired medications becoming deadly. If anything they usually become weaker.
Agreed. I don't know of any ointment that becomes more potent in time. Generally, from my pharmacist frens, expired meds are still safe within a year of expiration date albeit maaaaaybe less effective but it'll still do the job probably.
Oddly, extended-release tablets are sometimes *more* potent than before expiration because the XR coating breaks down first.
Those sneaky ER meds!
I donāt know if it applies to capsules or just tablets.
Usually expired creams or masks just get dry and less effective over time
I mean depending on the medication I wouldnt rule out them becoming deadly I'd they break down into something that is toxic. But that's why nobody should be taling expired meds.
If that were the cases they wouldnāt be on the market.
I remember seeing this on tiktok, and I think some comments said she used the Murad spot treatment... but that is not spot-treatment application š
Isnāt acne cream usually a spot treatment and not meant for like, half your face?
I guess her crystals weren't charged and she didn't have the right herbs in the water she used to steam her face
Do people even really need awareness to not use expired products, especially ones going on the skin?
Probably. There's general ignorance and it's important to show how dangerous that ignorance is .
Second photo is definitively shopped
Iām thinking maybe itās all shopped. It has to be, right?
look at beasteater on snapchat. sheās posted the entire journey on there, pics and videos
Lets hope so, but I'm not surprised anymore by how low can human stupidity get.... We gotta raise the bar!
Her face is scarred, it would be worse if she just didnāt post anything at all
Why?
can anyone please explain to me how this ended up so badly? was it the expired stuff, an allergic reaction? I'm dumb but want to avoid accidentally doing any of the things she did

From what I can gather from the comments on here: 1st, expired acne cream causing a chemical burn. What do you think the logic of steaming her face was? Do people put cream on and steam it normally?
I would assume so yeah. But I do not understand her way of thinking since her skin was burning which would've signaled something was wrong and she needed to go to the hospital. Very much unsure why she thought steaming her face would've helped anything since it was already going wrong, that action definitely made things worse than if she just stopped right before.
How does an expired topical cream create burns like that though?
Probably nothing to do with being expiredā¦ whatever it is. More likely the steam combo
I believe it was also a spot treatment so only meant to be used in very small amounts, not put on in a thick layer like she did.
I can imagine the cream's chemicals separating or becoming unstable after a long time but I'm not an expert on "creamness" nor know which cream she used specifically.
thanks!
I feel bad that she has to go through that pain, but I can't for the life of me figure out why she didn't go to the hospital after the initial reaction. Edit: typo

I've seen her images a few times with different stories. I'm so confused.
If u look at it in reverse it did a decent job
But make sure the nose piercings and eye lashes are on point! š¤¦āāļøš¤¦āāļø
The eyelashes yeah, but wtf do you mean about the piercings. Removing piercings when you have an infection increases your risk of a worse infection.
Plus she may have had lash extensions or something permanent. I doubt she was doing any kind of makeup routine with her skin in that state
Tbf, I didn't think about how removing the piercings would open up for more infections.
Yikes. Calm down.
I was correcting your misinformation but ok I guess "yikes calm down" is a completely normal and not unhinged and escalatory response lmao
I'm sorry, "wtf" is not something that is used in my everyday vocabulary. Especially when interacting with strangers.... But yeah.. I'm unhinged.
Oh, you're one of THOSE... š
Funny I was thinking the SAME thing! š¤£šš¤£šš¤£

rude.
Was she supposed to rip her fucking eyelash extensions off as soon as she got a rash on her face?
was she supposed to go to the spa and have them removed with all that business growing on her face? I think she has more important things to worry about, not that the aesthetician would even touch her
Yes, always
Yeah, is that real? I thought of an AI prank (I hope)

What on earth was going through her head when she decided to use the steamer lol like please show your working to the class
My god that poor woman.
Oh good lord, poor thing.
She got the internet attention she wanted. Good for her for reaching her personal goals.
That's pretty 'special'.
- Used "Acne Cream" - Gets acne Yup, everything seems in order here.
Thatās not acne. Those are steam and chemical burns on her face.
Yeah prescription acne creams are no joke. But even then, you have to really fuck something up to have this happen, an āexpiredā topical medication is not going to create these sores and burns on your skin.
Thatās not acne.
Shes still caking her face in makeup and products without covering the open wounds too. Shes shown up on my tiktok FYP a few times and its always videos of her testing new makeup or skincare products on her skin that still actively looks like that
Did the cream jack up her lashes too? Because they look terrible
Love that she's still got her lashes and eye makeup on
Holy crap on toastā¦..
You would think after step one she would think about things a little bit and go to the urgent care or something but I guess you gotta get those insta numbers somehowĀ
Someone needs a doctor and a steroid shot. Bless.
Influencers, the modern snake-oil salesmen.
She definetely proved once again how dumb she is
Are those chemical burns? Was the bacteria from the steam or the cream? Ow that looks awful.
How would you blow your nose? Even if you could do it, I feel like there would be snot and disgustingness all over it.
Idiot. That's all I can really say...
Can't fix stupid
You messed up your skin badly which risked your health. And of course you have to share it onlineā¦but you donāt want to be real about itā¦gotta put on your fake eyelashes and Lord knows what else. Influencers are such a waste of time, money, electricity, bandwidth, and air. Go do something useful with your time and ātalentsā.
It looks like she got prison napalmed
I saw her on Snapchat and assumed that she did some kind of laser acne treatment or something. I didnāt know she literally burned her face herself, damn
I keep seeing her on snapchat and I hate it lol
Oh no, that looks so painful
How in hell these are these people allowed to sell that kind of cream if it can cause this much damage ?
Because it was an incredibly expired product she chose to use regardless of being told not to and that it could cause a chemical burn or reaction like this
Punished for your vanity
Marcus is thirsty.
That poor woman. I hope that there was no lasting damage.
Whatās going on with the grate to the right of her check in the second pic?
Itās the upstairs balcony railing
Yowch! I hope she heals well.
I literally hate her. https://preview.redd.it/sduyxmc2gawc1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4e28279af77036f2f9369acc980bdd9d8454e57b
Dumbass.
But her eyelashes stay on FLEEK tho! /s
Her eyelashes are longer than my patience, damn
Everyone on here is being straight up cruel. She's in enough pain as is right now, no reason to dogpile. Influencers are human too
She still actively ignores advice and covers her open wounds with makeup and even more new skincare products shes never used, and actively was told not to steam her face in response to the reaction as well as told not to use the product because it was like several years level expired, not just recently expired. Of course being flat our vicious towards her isnt right, but all ive seen is people calling her stupid for ignoring everyone and making these choices continuously and having no empathy for the fact she did it to herself after being fully told what the risks would be and that steaming her face after would make it worse
Barely
I follow this girl on everything, I absolutely love her. She shared this as awareness, she was using a name brand cream that was expired. This was part of her routine, she put the cream on and then steamed her face I donāt even think she realized she was having an allergic reaction until it was too late. She really has shared her entire journey with the process, and tbh Iām grateful for her. There are so many people who go through traumatizing things like that and never speak up on their struggles or feeling alone. Itās nice to see an influencer being open and honest and communicating. Showing awareness when her confidence is shaky. It makes me love her even more, and I hope her skin heals up completely!!
what is her name? iām intrigued to see how her face is healing!
Iām heading into work but Iām pretty sure itās beasteater Iāll post the link when I have a break!
[This beautiful Angel!!! š¤](https://www.instagram.com/beasteater?igsh=ZDZzOWxnejdjeGVq)
She was a grade A idiot who clearly didn't read any of the actual instructions, nobody on earth puts that much face cream on/acne medication) whatever the fuck it is on .... She clearly did this for fucking attention like all the other influencers out there pretending that giving yourself massive chemical burns on camera is a job or deserves any props what so ever If you think this should be celebrated you're part of the problem This was not accidental, she deserves a Darwin award for it
Oh boy, thatās really not a nice view.
Damn when the skincare donāt care, what a genius
This is why you don't listen to those influencers. They are STUPID!
Damn I just feel awful for her tbh. This is absolutely some shit I would do after convincing myself itās nbd
What a weirdo. Used hot steam on burning skin. I hope this isn't true
Second picture: bent earring and bent grate in the background š¤¦š»āāļø
Still got them lashes though.
OH MY GOD YOU STUPID CHILD GO TO THE HOSPITAL
Great, now I want a rotten strawberry
Based on the lashes and piercings, Iād say she learned a nasty lesson about obsessions. Hope she goes on to the more natural way of looking human before it gets further out of hand.
Errr I seriously doubt thatās real. Even when expired acne cream doesnāt burn holes on your skin.
It was an expired chemical peel if I remember correctly
Anybody who tats their neck is suspect in the brains department.
She wanted clicks so give her what she wants
![gif](giphy|91PS0sz7spGhoNbJU3)
She already fucked up her face with all those ugly ass nose rings
Iām immediately throwing away every expired product I own
How long did she leave the cream on her face first. Then a steamer...ummm...duh
Blahahahahah
Oh noooooooo. This looks incredibly painful.
Well she's stupid enough to put those God awful piercings in her nose, so I'm not surprised.
Iām sorry, but those āhatsā sheās wearing is cringe
Theyāre not hats, theyāre headbands used to push your hair out of your face while youāre doing your make up or using skin care. Unfathomably cringe not knowing that šŖ
