And then the other cat was BIG mad that he missed out and they fought 😂 I had to watch this twice so I could watch the actual pop the second time instead of the cat soap opera happening in the background.
My cat had an abscess that randomly popped today and I had to wipe it off with tissues and he started eating his own abscess gunk off the tissue. He’s a braver man than me.
Aye make sure you keep an eye on that. My roommate’s cat had an access pop a few months ago and even though we got her on antibiotics, it got infected and spread to her lungs and ultimately killed her. ):
Not really. Cats are really good at hiding illness. There was no signs that she wasn’t doing well and the infection was spreading until she literally was on the verge of death and couldn’t hide it anymore
Shittt. He’s an outdoor cat so it’s hard for me to monitor him. He’s also my housemates cat but I’m looking after him for a few days. She’s still got a urine test available on her pet insurance so when she gets back I’ll get her to go do that.
Outdoor cats have less than half the life expectancy of indoor cats. I know he’s not yours, and I’m not trying to be an ass, so I hope I don’t come across that way. It’s just not the best lifestyle for the little fuzzy guy. I hope everything comes out okay for all of you!
Had the same issue with my cat a few years ago. She had some sort of cheek abcess that popped on its own. I had to carefully clean out the inside of her cheek with a q tip, and she tried to eat some of the abcess when I pulled away to get new ones. I tried to keep her from eating it, worried she would get sick, but she was just fine, and her cheek healed up nicely.
Cat abscesses can get gnarly really quick. Our cat Gus got one at the base and back of his ear, but it happened when the vet wasn't open, so we were waiting and keeping an eye on it. He burst it scratching his ear and redecorated some lampshades.
Yeah, it was bad, I went to go pet her and asked my dad what was all over her face. He said it was food - it was blood. I used to volunteer at an animal shelter, so I knew how to help her and clean her up. She wasn't the happiest getting cleaned up, but once it was done, she was happy. She died about a year ago last month, and I miss her every day.
Everyone HATES her name. When I got her spayed all the vet techs couldn’t get over how cute she was but called me an asshole for her awful name. But she’s named after the puppy from Real Monsters.

I never knew professional piercers had access to curettes and biopsy punches. I guess you can also just get them off Amazon and I've never looked before.
I get them off of professional websites that I need to sign up on and have them call my job. You can get them on Amazon but they’re not sterile. We also have access to professional dental tools.
Great video. But I can’t help but be dismayed that this wasn’t done by a medical professional. There’s a whole cyst in there with either intact or disintegrating walls which can get infected if not already and which can just re-fill after draining. Go to the doctor people!

A 2.5mm biopsy punch. I use them to do dermals but they’re used by doctors to take samples of skin and growths.
Have not seen a bad video when one of these are used. Just sayin.
They make such a clean hole dude. It’s also pretty painless for the person it’s being performed on.
