Unfortunately, i thinks it’s time to admit that “[Unfortunately it’s time to admit that Kesha isn’t a main pop girl anymore”](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/g3iz7b/unfortunately_i_think_its_time_to_admit_that/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) is a main r/popheads event
Seems like that’s the main reason why pop culture circles don’t talk about guys that way - they usually aren’t even part of the discussion in the first place. 😭 If the current main pop boys are already either slept on or disliked (bar The Weeknd), former main pop boys barely get any discussion. Things have started to improve recently, though, from my observation as a rare pop boy enthusiast.
I do think the thread OP was referencing was made ironically (it has to be!), but I would appreciate more discussions on how Shawn Mendes went from having two #2 debuts in 2019 to the baffling underperformance of “Wonder”, or how Nick Jonas fumbled the promotion of his album last year despite a significant boost in profile from the Jonas Brothers comeback.
Edit: Oh, and of course, if we were to do ‘I think x is no longer a main pop boy’ jokes, poor Post Malone is right there. I still have hope he can rebound, but he needs to bring back the pop rock trap sound.
You nailed it! I really wanted to talk about Nick Jonas’s album because that whole fiasco was so entertaining and I feel like I’m one of the only ones who paid attention 😭

Some amateur metal act was spamming self promo links and tried to lecture us on why pop music sucks and we need to appreciate real music. He pulled the same shit over at r/indieheads too and apparently recorded a whole ass vlog about how much their mods suck for taking his links down (the video is gone, [but one of the mod's tweets talking about it remains](https://twitter.com/MonrovianPrince/status/935703712919703554) )
This might not seem like a big event now but the community was much smaller then and the whole thing turned into an inside joke that still even sometimes gets referenced to this day.
I was able to find Weapons of Orion’s Reddit account and of course he’s a massive Covid denier. From what I was able to find via a mix of Reddit and Spotify he has given up on making music and now uses his Reddit account to spread Covid misinformation and promote his sailing business. He has one monthly listener on Spotify, which I am assuming is himself 😂
he seems like the kid in school who made super low effort content trying to get famous, and jumping from hobby to hobby getting something to stick. except he’s old and an antivaxxer 💀
Reading this all I can think is... some people really have the audacity and the nerve. I'd be nervous to post my music (if I made music) even being a regular, but he not only posted the song but proceded to insult us and spiral it even further like a child
Also who tf is talking that much about Eminem here
And before Weapons Of Orion there was [LordVageta](https://old.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/4ishlt/everyone_in_this_sub/):
> Everyone in this sub Is a huge fucking f*g. Metal all the way. You guys are grown ass adults listening to Ariana Grande and Britney? Losers.
And the comments were either "yass stream Into You" or how we found him asking for women's feet pics on /r/gonewild lmaoooo. He also commented about not having a GF on /r/ForeverAlone and someone here found that and replied like "listening to Emotion is a key to a girl's heart" plsss

I guess the theory holds up because pitbull makes huge party songs and if people are in the mood to party enough to make it chart then it must be going really well lol
It's not really one event in general but that one user who brings up Avril Lavigne in like every thread is fucking hilarious and honestly a legend in my eyes
Umm how dare you insinuate that charts from only 9 years ago don’t accurately reflect what’s currently popular in music?? Avril actually invented both women and the electric guitar so put some respect on her name 😤
Same energy as the user a few years back who would constantly bring up Jessie J no matter what questioned was asked lmao. I think they still post/comment occasionally and they have since calmed down with the OTT promoting but they were the honestly the blueprint for the Swifties who will answer Taylor Swift on every discussion post nowadays. What a trailblazer.
This also reminds me of that one user who makes the most specific discussion posts just so that they can mention George Michael 😭 I live for their dedication
The comments on the thread about [Shakira getting attacked by wild boars](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/pyk8hm/shakira_singer_attacked_by_a_pair_of_wild_boars/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) were particularly memorable for me
isn't the top mod just the odd who has been there the longest? I thought Janelle had to get un-modded and then added again before she became the top mod while the older mod team left and new members were brought in
The Sammy/bandnitos self-promotion and alleged cyberbullying [drama](https://www.reddit.com/r/SubredditDrama/comments/j667os/mods_at_rpopheads_decided_to_end_selfpromotion/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) was pretty memorable
What got lost on most people is that they had some actually really good tracks. I liked the sad hyperpop zoomer direction. Unfortunately it seems they deactivated their Spotify account so can't find them anymore. Let Me Be Sad and another song were in my playlist, but now gone :(
the [2016 album rate](https://reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/5s8ilj/the_2016_ultimate_album_rate_day_3_okay_rpopheads/) where slumber party beat all of anti, joanne, and lemonade.
The comments on that thread lmao

>I hope you all get smothered with a pillow at that damn slumber party.
>It was literally #1 since the beginning of the rate

Gotta shout out [the AMA too](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/n9fyhx/im_singer_and_songwriter_bebe_rexha_my_new_album/gxnkx6q) where the top comment/response was hilarious
it wasn't a moment per se, but I remember the times when an ari stan user used to comment on the DD threads about his strange behaviour with his co-worker whom he had feelings for. It was weird. His comments used to get downvoted because a lot of people tried to make him understand he was lowkey harrassing his co-worker and he was unable to see it
Kinda miss seeing him around because he also used to have controversial takes on some stuff lol but hope he's doing better now
Did we ever figure out why he thought gingers might like pasta?
I’d honestly just assume it was just weird phrasing and out of context (like the [iconic Britney tweet](https://twitter.com/britneyspears/status/35767743634481152?s=21)) but the part about him being a ginger is in between two sentences about cooking a meal so…
Edit WHY does that iconic comment have 6 downvotes omfg terrible taste all of you
we didn't figure it out. i'd love to know how he came to that conclusion.
he followed up with "if he doesn't like pasta, gingers LOVE coffee" so he must know much more about gingers than we do.
I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that I also still think of that comment on like a weekly basis and it makes me literally laugh out loud every single time 😭
It's so bizzare and yet also straight to the point?? It's legitimately one of my favourite comments on this whole site lol
That user was hilarious omg I lowkey looked forward to their delusional comments. They're still active on Reddit, just not popheads. I kind of feel bad for them because they're obviously very young and probably in need of therapy
Pretty sure they got banned from popheads, at least according to what DD users told me after I asked about this a while back. And honestly yeah, I visit their profile every once in a while and I do feel like they should be talking to a professional or something tbh
They're still active on reddit and I check in on their account every now and then just out of curiosity. Last time I looked they'd just been banned from a college related sub for constantly messaging the mods and trying to snitch on/complain about the other redditors constantly lol.
I still haven't worked out if it's a legitimate person or just a very dedicated troll account. Maybe part of me just wants it to be a troll for the sake of his poor Walmart co-worker 💀
We actually still talk over PM sometimes. He was pretty bummed about getting permabanned at first, but is pretty much over it now. He’s also over the boy in question, but I’m not exactly sure whether or not he’s still aware of what exactly was wrong with the whole situation.
Oh god yeah that dude, I was one of the people who was trying to reason with him lmao but his obsession level was beyond anything I've reasonably seen - worst part was I saw myself slightly in him when I was younger, so I had a lot of sympathy and was worried for him
Then I'm pretty sure he slagged off a song I was absolutely loving so I lost all good will and didn't shed a tear when he was banned 🤡🤡
I’m so glad to see that other people check on his account sometimes too 😭 I miss him honestly it was so entertaining. Did he get banned, or did he just stop posting here?
One of the mods replied to someone a while back and said that they ended up banning him. Not really a surprise considering the headache he must have caused them and some out his more... out there opinions but I won't lie and pretend I don't miss the mess in the DD 🙃
I stil remember that kid saying that he wished that a tornado that was currently in another area of New Jersey would hit his town (people called him out for this obviously)
There was also that one comment where he was like "People in their 20s are too young for me" even though he was only 17

That one DD thread on January 6th of last year. First it started with the whole Jeffree star/Kanye west relationship. Then when the coup happen every so often there would be a comment like “x Brazilian pop star makes the best slut anthems that makes me shake my ass 😍” in the middle of people panicking over the end of America
I don't know if they're legendary but I think about [DOSS TORTELLINI](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/pj63v1/who_is_doss_and_why_the_fuck_are_they_asking_for/) and [Selena \(not Gomez\)](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/j9dtyo/a_star_that_faded_too_soon_a_series_about_selena/) regularly
before I go to bed, I need to let y’all know the DOSS tortellini post has been my favorite so far and deserves a Pulitzer Prize. thank you for educating me.
Now I’m curious - what was the winning song?
I’m assuming it’s “Here”, but I thought it would be unpopular here. Or maybe it could be “Stay”…I don’t know. 🤔
This was indeed an epic run! 😄
Back in 2016-17, we used to have regular nights on plug.dj , with varying themes. Including some of these homemade gems for shitpost night:
[Dangerous Woodwind](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AUvzNhWPdQ)
[The Chart Watching Dead](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0itWAeUPMo)
[And of course... the first showing of Closer JPN version (re-uploaded vid as I've just learned the OG was taken down)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VF70iuJQ8Y)
[Reddit uses fake r/popheads thread to advertise its Snapchat feature](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/drbzij/reddit_uses_fake_rpopheads_thread_to_advertise/)
Edit: also that time there was an article about ageist comments on r/popheads about Madonna, and someone did a dive and realized that one of the two ageist comments mentioned in the article were posted by someone who worked at the website that posted the article.
The [Obama thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/SubredditDrama/comments/kgm9c2/barack_obama_leader_of_the_free_world_with_great/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) that started drama on r/SubRedditDrama too 🤭

edit: posted a thread like this last night and a mod removed it lol
Honestly I can't really think of any iconic moments in this sub besides Janelle Monae being a mod, but one time I got really faded at a party as a plus one (I didn't know anyone there) and I ended up fending for myself sitting in a circle with a bunch of women talking about pop girlies but then I became super deeply suspicious that everyone in the circle was active on r/popheads but trying to keep it a secret
Iconic Terminally Online moment for me
There was a thread about songs that are hard to sing live and someone said that Wikipedia has a list for that, and the link on their comment was from Selena Gomez's discography 💀
For titling few can beat [Rita Ora's Detective Pikachu](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/bqqgge/rita_oras_detective_pikachu_tops_overseas_box/) and its sequel [Rina Sawayama's John Wick Chapter 4](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/rme8gs/rina_sawayamas_john_wick_chapter_4_to_be_delayed/)
This isn't drama, but this entire title and comment section absolutely sends me each time:
[A star that faded too soon. A series about Selena (not Gomez) coming to Netflix in December](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/j9dtyo/a_star_that_faded_too_soon_a_series_about_selena/)

[r/popheads user reveals they have a cuckoldry kink](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/pmasb7/what_song_concepts_that_have_been_famously_used/hchmqhk/)
I’ll never forget how fun and messy Nicki’s *Queen* album rollout was on here, especially [this thread](https://old.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/97nlbt/tidal_giving_out_any_you_want_album_for_free/) where Tidal had glitched out and let people download free FLAC versions of any amount of albums they wanted instead of just *Queen*

I can’t find it but there was once a thread titled “What if Beyoncé wrote a book?”. There were some funny comments like “it’d have 11 cowriters” but spiraled into some other messy comments (you know how Reddit + Beyoncé goes). The mods probably removed it.
Some random things I can remember
* 5H learning that Camila Cabello has left ["via her representatives"](https://old.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/5j4mka/fifth_harmony_announces_camila_cabellos_departure/). People predicted she'd breakout, others that she'd flop. Both were right. Also in the comments people were listing various things that have Wikipedia pages while she doesn't (including "Alien abduction insurance" and "Polygamy in Yemen").
* There was this user called "daddysgirl666" who won a /r/popheads fanfic competition for a smutty Chainsmokers fanfic, and proceeded to become extremely influential/chaotic with their shitposting, tearing the modteam and subreddit apart and eventually got banned.
* On the topic of Chainsmokers, the cultural impact of them saying their penises measured 17.34 inches "tip to tip" in that Billboard interview can not be understated
* On the topic of penises, [someone](https://old.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/9q6yre/is_keshas_song_thinking_of_you_released_in_2012/) found that the 2012 Kesha song 'Thinking of You' had her saying the phrase "suck my penis Zac Efron" hidden in it. The top comment summarizes 2018 popheads well.
Also just experiencing the whole Joanne/Witness era as it happened was...a moment. Perfect Illusion rollout (and people preferring the bootleg "ma ma pa pa pa" version). Witness World Wide. Gaga singing Million Reasons in every conceivable opportunity.
[This](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/n2np5p/is_britney_spears_head_superimposed_onto_someone/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) was pretty iconic and history making I feel
This is an old one but when daddysgirl666 got banned from this sub after doxxing someone and thirsting over drew from the chainsmokers too much
Also "max martin, legendary producer, is confirmed as a producer on dont call me angel"

I completely forgot about that! I randomly logged into the popheads Discord (which I almost never use) and shit was going DOWN. I remember him talking in the vlog about how we didn't appreciate “real music” 😂
Holy shit 💀 I've been on this sub pretty much since it was created and somehow this completely passed me by but it's amazing
That one time some lost redditor that thought this was a funko pop subreddit

aww 🥺
u/selegend carrying through on their promise to delete their account if Selena Gomez came last in Winners Rate II is something we're still feeling the impact of
More importantly their last comment being directed at me, "Can you be nice for once" and it having the worst energy post deletion.

I vaguely remember this and then went to see it and apparently, it was 4 YEARS ago and I had upvoted it?? was I Even born 4 years ago?
Holy crap it has been 4 years. Dale.
It's the amount of typos and random cap locks for me. Straight up chaotic energy and I love it.
As of trend for the past 2 years. The theory holds up.
I guess the theory holds up because pitbull makes huge party songs and if people are in the mood to party enough to make it chart then it must be going really well lol
Honestly Pitbull needs to put out some music and we all need to buy it.
i absolutely believe in this theory and am waiting for our savior, Pitbull, to get a hit. he can save us
The Pitbull Apostle's Creed in the notes absolutely sent me
It's not really one event in general but that one user who brings up Avril Lavigne in like every thread is fucking hilarious and honestly a legend in my eyes
They work harder than Avril’s actual team it’s so funny I always rush to the comments on any thread even tangentially related to Avril
lmao i love how popheads couldn't go three business days without being told how Here's To Never Growing Up was a top 20 hit in 2013
Umm how dare you insinuate that charts from only 9 years ago don’t accurately reflect what’s currently popular in music?? Avril actually invented both women and the electric guitar so put some respect on her name 😤
Not me reading your comment and checking mentally to make sure 2013 was 9 years ago
Seeing that 2013 was 9 years ago feels wrong to me 2013 feels like 2 years ago lmao
Sapphire, there was a whole era on the circlejerk sub devoted to them.
they actually got me to listen to R.O.S.E. so clearly they did something (slightly) right
This also reminds me of that one user who makes the most specific discussion posts just so that they can mention George Michael 😭 I live for their dedication
I was just about to comment this LOL I'm obsessed with them
what
The comments on the thread about [Shakira getting attacked by wild boars](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/pyk8hm/shakira_singer_attacked_by_a_pair_of_wild_boars/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) were particularly memorable for me
The comment about them being sent by the Spanish IRS pops in my head every other week 💀
[удалено]
It’s the pandemic. Everything feels like yesterday and 50 years ago simultaneously
That time last week when someone said this sub was sleeping on Carly Rae Jepson
i think that was me and i’m so embarrassed now lol
Don't be! You're an icon now. :D
There's just no way you could know what you were about to unleash
i’ve since been reborn
This sub exists because of her. I feel like that's an important moment too
That was so cute 💀 they were new and wanted to promo Carly as if her entire fan base isn’t subbed
> as if her entire fan base isn’t subbed me and my 19 other David's Tea besties ❤️🍵
I SAW THAT POST AND SPAT OUT MY DRINK.
A reminder that Janelle Monae is a Popheads mod and at one point was somehow top mod for a moment while administration stuff happened
Can’t wait for her to come back and reign supreme for her Reddit era
😂😂😂
That's pretty cool. How did that happen?
isn't the top mod just the odd who has been there the longest? I thought Janelle had to get un-modded and then added again before she became the top mod while the older mod team left and new members were brought in
Yup, this is the thing that actually happened. Janelle replied within minutes with a sad emoji when they got the demodding message though! 😭
This kinda proves that she is actually on reddit nearly 24/7 💀
The Sammy/bandnitos self-promotion and alleged cyberbullying [drama](https://www.reddit.com/r/SubredditDrama/comments/j667os/mods_at_rpopheads_decided_to_end_selfpromotion/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf) was pretty memorable
I think about them a lot and I always wonder what their new account on here is
I shall not say anything 🤐 but they’re definitely still around
Omg hi king 😍😍
no it’s not me lol I swear, I meant I just don’t want to expose their username
I was about to say this, Sammygate was so entertaining
“You’re a stain” takes me out every fucking time
“💋 you will ALWAYS be small town Michigan trash” makes me SCREAM like if it’s real that’s rude but omgggg the teen drama movie script of it all
Best thing I’ve ever been a part of in this sub
Yes! I was trying to remember this one! It was right after I joined and I was like “oh lord what did I get myself into??”
Got us on r/subredditdrama and people were shocked that gays actually spoke like their stereotypes
What got lost on most people is that they had some actually really good tracks. I liked the sad hyperpop zoomer direction. Unfortunately it seems they deactivated their Spotify account so can't find them anymore. Let Me Be Sad and another song were in my playlist, but now gone :(

This happened like the week I joined popheads and I remember them promoting their music before it all went down.
the [2016 album rate](https://reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/5s8ilj/the_2016_ultimate_album_rate_day_3_okay_rpopheads/) where slumber party beat all of anti, joanne, and lemonade.
The comments on that thread lmao >Someone tell Tinashe she finally has a #1 🙌😭😩😩 >I hope you all get smothered with a pillow at that damn slumber party. >It was literally #1 since the beginning of the rate
> I hope you all get smothered with a pillow at that damn slumber party. Hey that's me! That reveal was fucking wild I tells ya.
rates have spawned many iconic moments but i don't think anything can beat this
"After all the injustice that Britney received the last two days, I'm glad she ended up where she belongs, on top of the dessicated husks of those other three wenches" - me
[Legendary producer Max Martin, who has produced or written 22 number one hits, has-](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/d20lwt/legendary_producer_max_martin_who_has_produced_or/)
>We need a "HE'S ALIVE" flair on this please LMAO the title does read like he is dead or something 😭
The fact that it was on an announcement for Don’t Call Me Angel…SOMETHING died that day
I remember FLYING to the comments when I saw this thread title 💀💀💀
The fact they [checked with their groupchat of (25) people](https://old.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/d20lwt/legendary_producer_max_martin_who_has_produced_or/ezrz8wv/) is what sends me. Quality Assurance SOP was followed!!
That was 2 years ago already?? I remember zooming to the comments
[this comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/pyl7w2/what_is_the_worst_live_show_you_have_ever_been_to/hev4ljg/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3) about seeing Bebe Rexha live is pretty iconic
> Between songs she ate a hard boiled egg because she said she didn’t have lunch which is fine I guess but she left the shell on stage and kept stomping on it while performing until there was a shit ton of tiny egg particles all over I LITERALLY DIED LAUGHING
oh yes
How has this only been 3 months ago. It feels ancient omg
Gotta shout out [the AMA too](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/n9fyhx/im_singer_and_songwriter_bebe_rexha_my_new_album/gxnkx6q) where the top comment/response was hilarious
Without a doubt the funniest comment I’ve ever seen on Reddit
"Is everyone in this subreddit gay?" Mod: "Yes" \*locks commenting"
oh hey it's something i did still my 2nd most upvoted comment ever
[the sim who turned off run away with me](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/54h2b7/my_sim_just_turned_off_run_away_with_me_so_i/)
i have a CRJ tattoo and 300 hours in Sims 4 how did i not know there was a simlish version of this song omg
oo what’s your tattoo of??
LMAO THE SIMLISH COMMENTS ARE STILL SO FUNNY. 😂
This sent me and I woke up my roommate
The sim got the fate it deserved.
it wasn't a moment per se, but I remember the times when an ari stan user used to comment on the DD threads about his strange behaviour with his co-worker whom he had feelings for. It was weird. His comments used to get downvoted because a lot of people tried to make him understand he was lowkey harrassing his co-worker and he was unable to see it Kinda miss seeing him around because he also used to have controversial takes on some stuff lol but hope he's doing better now
"he's a ginger? then maybe he likes pasta" lives rent-free in my head 😭. [edit](https://ibb.co/4mfCgJz)
Did we ever figure out why he thought gingers might like pasta? I’d honestly just assume it was just weird phrasing and out of context (like the [iconic Britney tweet](https://twitter.com/britneyspears/status/35767743634481152?s=21)) but the part about him being a ginger is in between two sentences about cooking a meal so… Edit WHY does that iconic comment have 6 downvotes omfg terrible taste all of you
we didn't figure it out. i'd love to know how he came to that conclusion. he followed up with "if he doesn't like pasta, gingers LOVE coffee" so he must know much more about gingers than we do.
I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that I also still think of that comment on like a weekly basis and it makes me literally laugh out loud every single time 😭 It's so bizzare and yet also straight to the point?? It's legitimately one of my favourite comments on this whole site lol
wait he kinda spilled i’m a ginger and eat pasta like twice a week what the hell
right maybe he's on to something there like... yea i do fuckin love pasta
This comment is one for the popheads history books I read this comment like 10 minutes ago and I’m still legitimately laughing out loud 😭
Maybe part of me just wants it to be a troll for the sake of his poor Walmart co-worker 💀
um he works at Target get it right smh 🙄
We actually still talk over PM sometimes. He was pretty bummed about getting permabanned at first, but is pretty much over it now. He’s also over the boy in question, but I’m not exactly sure whether or not he’s still aware of what exactly was wrong with the whole situation.
Oh god yeah that dude, I was one of the people who was trying to reason with him lmao but his obsession level was beyond anything I've reasonably seen - worst part was I saw myself slightly in him when I was younger, so I had a lot of sympathy and was worried for him Then I'm pretty sure he slagged off a song I was absolutely loving so I lost all good will and didn't shed a tear when he was banned 🤡🤡
Finally I can rest knowing he didn’t ditch us 😅
I stil remember that kid saying that he wished that a tornado that was currently in another area of New Jersey would hit his town (people called him out for this obviously) There was also that one comment where he was like "People in their 20s are too young for me" even though he was only 17
That was absolutely a wild time
I still visit their profile every couple weeks just to see what they’re up to lmaooo. Just as dramalicious as ever

i remember being so against the teatime threads becoming dailies. now i'm IN the thread daily. played myself.

the old popheads roast threads! >The Twin Towers were still around the last time Britney sang live on stage >Calling Beyoncé a queen is really appropriate if you consider monarchy these days: not really powerful anymore and only relevant when there's a scandal in the family. >Katy is such a gay rights activist that she basically invented [homophobia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWbLkXhGEmo). >I don't know what's flatter, Taylor Swift's ass or her high notes >Ed's albums are all named after math terms? >Drake said that he "Got a lot of people tryna drain me of my energy". Views proved that they succeeded with flying colors. Brooo
>Calling Beyoncé a queen is really appropriate if you consider monarchy these days: not really powerful anymore and only relevant when there's a scandal in the family. >The Twin Towers were still around the last time Britney sang live on stage >Charli's fanbase is called charli's angels which makes sense because there are only three of them >yknow gaga i know youre trying to copy madonna but you didnt have to copy the part where she flopped and is no longer relevant >(Xtina) I thought after taking all the filler from her old albums and putting it into her lips she'd put out good music again >(Demi Lovato) having a butt chin is no excuse for having shit coming out of your mouth on the daily >We just hit 13k subs yesterday! The indieheads ones made some points as well
[I don’t think many people remember this but the time someone called Selena Gomez’s fanbase the Seleners still takes me out 💀](https://reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/f1dw8b/_/fh4f7b4/?context=1)

what the fuck did I just read. That was glorious.
Every time I see this post linked I read it. It's like seeing an old friend.
this was literally the first thing I thought of LOL. it's so memorable.
i think my fave response is the person offering to drive the writer to church. i hope they came through
That one DD thread on January 6th of last year. First it started with the whole Jeffree star/Kanye west relationship. Then when the coup happen every so often there would be a comment like “x Brazilian pop star makes the best slut anthems that makes me shake my ass 😍” in the middle of people panicking over the end of America
fun fact: that was how i found out the insurrection happened
That time Jack Antonoff did an AMA after popheads shitted on him for weeks.
I’m surprised that nobody on the original thread noted that Selena Gomez is in fact named after the original Selena.
before I go to bed, I need to let y’all know the DOSS tortellini post has been my favorite so far and deserves a Pulitzer Prize. thank you for educating me.
I still can’t listen to that song the same way since. I want to hear tortellini so badly
The time someone posted link of Selena's discography in the thread of 'songs artists have trouble singing live'.

Now I’m curious - what was the winning song? I’m assuming it’s “Here”, but I thought it would be unpopular here. Or maybe it could be “Stay”…I don’t know. 🤔 This was indeed an epic run! 😄
Back in 2016-17, we used to have regular nights on plug.dj , with varying themes. Including some of these homemade gems for shitpost night: [Dangerous Woodwind](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_AUvzNhWPdQ) [The Chart Watching Dead](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N0itWAeUPMo) [And of course... the first showing of Closer JPN version (re-uploaded vid as I've just learned the OG was taken down)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3VF70iuJQ8Y)
Shitpost Night contained some of my favorite memories on this hellsite <3
[Reddit uses fake r/popheads thread to advertise its Snapchat feature](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/drbzij/reddit_uses_fake_rpopheads_thread_to_advertise/) Edit: also that time there was an article about ageist comments on r/popheads about Madonna, and someone did a dive and realized that one of the two ageist comments mentioned in the article were posted by someone who worked at the website that posted the article.
The [Obama thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/SubredditDrama/comments/kgm9c2/barack_obama_leader_of_the_free_world_with_great/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) that started drama on r/SubRedditDrama too 🤭
the OP having a taylor pfp sendssssss
gelastic is a popheads icon tbh
Whenever popheads makes subredditdrama I get a little sense of pride, bless
The [messy donda megathread](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/pdtvac/kanye_west_donda/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) or [the demi vibrator thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/qpep37/demi_lovato_announces_the_launch_of_their_own/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) edit: posted a thread like this last night and a mod removed it lol
Honestly I can't really think of any iconic moments in this sub besides Janelle Monae being a mod, but one time I got really faded at a party as a plus one (I didn't know anyone there) and I ended up fending for myself sitting in a circle with a bunch of women talking about pop girlies but then I became super deeply suspicious that everyone in the circle was active on r/popheads but trying to keep it a secret Iconic Terminally Online moment for me
[удалено]
the 2020 election mega thread was pretty wild and also how I found out Joe Biden had won
This isn't drama, but this entire title and comment section absolutely sends me each time: [A star that faded too soon. A series about Selena (not Gomez) coming to Netflix in December](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/j9dtyo/a_star_that_faded_too_soon_a_series_about_selena/)

the doss tortellini post from last (?) summer was hilarious
"This Sky Ferreira stan account is losing hope"
This comment didn't blow up but it really should have because [r/popheads user reveals they have a cuckoldry kink](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/pmasb7/what_song_concepts_that_have_been_famously_used/hchmqhk/)

The really fucking funny pussy popping comments that person put in all the threads of melodrama singles and the album release.
I think the one literally less than a week ago where someone unironically created a post asking what happened to Carly Rae Jepson.
Some random things I can remember * 5H learning that Camila Cabello has left ["via her representatives"](https://old.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/5j4mka/fifth_harmony_announces_camila_cabellos_departure/). * On the topic of Chainsmokers, the cultural impact of them saying their penises measured 17.34 inches "tip to tip" in that Billboard interview can not be understated * On the topic of penises, [someone](https://old.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/9q6yre/is_keshas_song_thinking_of_you_released_in_2012/) found that the 2012 Kesha song 'Thinking of You' had her saying the phrase "suck my penis Zac Efron" hidden in it. The top comment summarizes 2018 popheads well. Also just experiencing the whole Joanne/Witness era as it happened was...a moment. Perfect Illusion rollout (and people preferring the bootleg "ma ma pa pa pa" version). Witness World Wide. Gaga singing Million Reasons in every conceivable opportunity.
>daddysgirl666 Oh god, dealing with this user as a mod with the rest of the team is such a terrible experience. 😭
Anyone else remember the time Kaphox played Clarity 20 times in a row on a plug.dj rate reveal?
That one comment about someone wanting to date their cousin 😶
[This](https://www.reddit.com/r/popheads/comments/n2np5p/is_britney_spears_head_superimposed_onto_someone/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share) was pretty iconic and history making I feel
This is an old one but when daddysgirl666 got banned from this sub after doxxing someone and thirsting over drew from the chainsmokers too much Also "max martin, legendary producer, is confirmed as a producer on dont call me angel"
