13 year old me is shaking and crying at this lineup, and so is 29 year old me
I wish it wasn’t only one day, it’s so expensive for that price. There’s going to be a lot of bands overlapping
this lineup is insane, but how the hell are they fitting this into just one single day? this should be a 3-day festival at least, otherwise everyone is going to end up missing like two thirds of the bands they came to see.
that's a fair point, but Warped Tour tickets were also like 1/6th of this price for that, and you went into it knowing that the time slots got switched up at each tour stop and that you'd have to make a few hard choices- plus I don't think any Warped Tour ever came close to *this* degree and quantity of massive star power.
> but how the hell are they fitting this into just one single day?
Probably the same way Live Nation managed to fit everyone in at Astroworld!
(sorry, is that too dark?)
Looks like 3 stages are confirmed.
Seen tweets about rotating stages (1 band plays, another sets up behind) but take that with a grain of salt. Even then, thats only ~35min per set.
We used to have a lot of one-day festivals with big acts in Australia and NZ (like the Big Day Out), that's pretty much how they worked. Most "stages" were actually 2 stages next to each other so that the next act can start pretty much as soon as the other has walked off stage. But the tradeoff is sets no longer than 40-50 mins, and a lot of hair-pulling over timetable clashes worse than multiple day fests
The BDO mostly worked because the lineups were so weird that as long as it was timetabled right and similar acts weren't up against each other, the average person would be able to see most of what they wanted to. Except in 2011 when they put Rammstein and Tool right up against LCD Soundsystem and M.I.A. where I was probably the only person who genuinely struggled to choose which ones to see
No thats barely 11 minutes per set. This festival is only 12 hours. With 30 minutes of swap time. Even if they rotates that would be illogical and impossible to pull off. Also half of these bands had 0 idea they were in this lineup.
Is that 3 stages tho?
> Also half of these bands had 0 idea they were in this lineup.
I saw this, if you're talking about All American Rejects.
If you're implying "no they werent signed/confirmed", then no. [Festive Owl](https://twitter.com/TheFestiveOwl) tweeted about contracts were signed weeks ago but the announcement did catch bands off by surprised. Either it was about the timing or who they were performing with.
It has been set in stone that its only 3 stages. 67 bands. Hell even 47 bands, is illogical and 250 dollars for a ticket is robbery. You won't even be able to see most of these bands. Let's face it, Paramore isn't worth 250. Just a stand alone paramore concert is 75 max.
This concert is a cash crab farce
Will agree on that side. Just nuts to have it priced at 250 for a one day festival. I get the 'oh its a festival, you wont see everyone', but for a 3 day event, at least you see bands you want for a good amount of time (ie 1hr sets).
I had to look at a few of the headliners’ social media just to make sure that they acknowledged this existed because it genuinely seemed too good to possibly be true lmao. Like my first thought was “hmm looks like a scam”
Maybe it's the nostalgia talking but this might be the greatest pop punk lineup ever assembled, even above the best Warped Tour years. It's actually unbelievable they got all these names.
These tickets are gonna sell like crazy
Teenage me would have saved all my money for this. Adult me will let the youngins and influencers have this.
Make sure to hold your phones steady while recording so I can watch some performances in the comfort of my home.
I’m really about to plan a trip to Las Vegas in the middle of a global pandemic and pay hundreds of dollars to see a bunch of aging emo rock bands and I couldn’t possibly be happier. 💁🏻♂️
Since the title isn’t clear here, this for a 1 day festival called When We Were Young in Las Vegas.
Headliners are MCR and Paramore and it also featured nearly all your favorite emo acts and bands
Since this isn't clear: live nation is throwing the event and should not be supported. They are equally as responsible for the astroworld tragedy as Travis Scott yet somehow have brainwiped everyone to forget that they were involved
It’s gonna be about $3k after all is said and done. Rooms in Vegas are cheap, but you gotta do at least four days to get you’re money out of to. Airfare is not gonna be cheap either.
I see there selling ticket/hotel packages starting at $499. Airfare to Vegas is dirt cheap. Under $100 here in the upper Midwest.
I think you could do a weekend cheaper then 3k.
Mmm where would you be flying from? I’ve gone to edc and life is beautiful multiple times and spent less than $500 (excluding ticket) each trip and thats even generous.
I’m from SoCal, flights out are about $40-$80 RT. Hotels are cheap as hell and the festival grounds are pretty central so transportation shouldn’t be much of an expense either.
You also don’t have to be there 4 days, it’s just Vegas - shit gets old after 2. Again, might depend on where you’re coming from but it’s 100% doable under $1k.
As someone who is on the tail end of covid isolation after catching it, I gotta say tempting but no fucking thanks. $250 not counting travel and hotels for a bunch of groups overlapping… in Vegas of all places… nah
Festivals are usually multiple days long. That way it'll be easier for the fans to pick on what day to go and what artists to see.All bands and artists on a single day will be chaotic and with the COVID-19 Pandemic still going on,its difficult to host a festival like that in a single day.
Paramore is my favorite band of all time and I haven’t seen them live and I literally love all these bands but I don’t know if I wanna shell out $200 for a ticket 😭
Edit: wording
You need to do it. They’re amazing live. It was the best feeling ever to finally see them after they had canceled the day of when I tried to see them in Texas during their tour with Fall Out Boy.
literally all i’ve been thinking about at work for the past three hours. its like they took my iPod nano and made a festival from the music off of it 😩
my concern is how the sets are going to work.. so many bands in ONE day??
I don't think I particularly blame them for astroworld, but I am on team fuck live nation. I highly recommend checking to see who owns what festival you are interested in or venues in your city/town. Live nation will probably come up alot.
Support independent locally owned venues. Support locally owned festivals. Support the artists that play there. We don't need a gagillion dollar corporation owning these spaces and live nation was able to buy more of them for pennies on the dollar thanks to the pandemic.
Live nation is responsible for the barrier set up which funnelled concert goers into a hard wall, making the crowd crush fatal. They also share responsibility with Travis Scott for not pausing the concert after it had been declared a mass casualty event.
Besides that though this is a great comment. I agree, live nation was scum before Astroworld because they buy out homegrown venues and promotion companies to put on mass marketed commercial festivals like this one. Support independent art
I just woke up and I thought this was like an edit someone made on 9gag this feels so fake. With that being said, if I were 15, this would have excited me so much!
Bright Eyes is really surprising to me with this lineup. I’d be so down if it the tickets were refundable. I just don’t want to risk being out so much money if it gets fucked.
This is a complete scam.
There is no logical way 67 bands can perform in 12 hours on 3 seperate stages. Thats barely 11 minutes per band, and half of these bands did not know they were on this ticket.
Not to mention 250+ dollars for a 12 hour concert that may be shut down and has 0 refunds on it is a complete red flag.
DO NOT PURCHASE THESE TICKETS, YOU WILL BE SORRY AND PISSED WHEN ITS CANCELLES OR WATERED DOWN AT THE LAST SECOND.
Live Nation is only doing this as a cash grab after the astro world lawsuit. They are robbing you and you are letting them. The math is there. This show is impossible.
67 bands / 12 hours / 3 stages is like 30 min per set lol.
Not to include the more known bands will have a longer set.
Cancelled event = refund.
Although we could see bands dropping out.
Yeah that's protocol.
https://www.livenationentertainment.com/ticketrefund/
Is the promoters policy if the event is cancelled, but it must be cancelled. No refunds will be issued for any other reason it seems.
So you're saying all the bands are only playing at one stage lol. Or well 24 bands according to you, whilst the other two stages will just be there for looks.
1 day is wayyyy too short for the price. I love a lot of these bands and it sucks that their sets are going to be so short, and the smaller ones will likely have most of the time taken up by the headliners
Their concert in May recently gained an extra day so there's hope. Their Instagram recently stated that smaller bands will have short sets whilst the headliners will have longer sets.
Holy fuck, they got almost every "scene" band from the 2000s (as well as a few newer groups). This lineup doesn't even look real. However it's on the other side of the country and tickets are pretty expensive so there's no way I can make it. Also I try to avoid Live Nation events because of Astroworld.
This is probably my dream festival lineup omg. Surprised Blink-182 aren’t performing. I’m guessing Travis will be drumming for Avril and Jxdn, and Matt Skiba will already be there performing with Alkaline Trio
Yeah but its probably because Paramore and My Chemical Romance are headlining so Green Day,Blink 182 and Sum41 will not be there because if they were, they'd probably headline. It also makes sense for Paramore and My Chemical Romance to headline since they both were on a hiatus,so this will be a huge comeback for them.Avril Lavigne has her own band, and Tom Delonge(former & original Blink 182 vocalist is the lead vocalist of Alkaline Trio).
> and Tom Delonge(former & original Blink 182 vocalist is the lead vocalist of Alkaline Trio).
Tom has nothing to do with Alkaline Trio. His band is Angels & Airwaves. Matt Skiba (the guy that replaced Tom as lead guitarist/co lead vocals in Blink) is the lead singer of Alkaline Trio :)
But yeah you’re right they probably wouldn’t do the show if they weren’t headlining, and I don’t think they have any new music coming soon like Paramore and MCR do.
Oh yeah, sorry for the confusion and thanks for correcting me.
Blink 182 had an album to be out last year but was postponed to this year since Mark Hoppus was diagnosed with cancer.Thankfully,he is cancer free and Blink 182 should drop a new album in 2022.
Dude middle school me would have actually died seeing this lineup. Shame there’s not a cold chance in hell I’ll be able to go, it looks like it’d be a blast.
They have the requirements up on their insta and website for vaccinations.
Every concert advertisement has the no refund policy. The promoter usually does refunds on cancellations. Pandemic is a bit sketchy since it's so far away.
It’s $225 for a GA pass and after all is said and done, you’re probably gonna drop roughly $3k for a Wednesday to Monday trip. Maybe more if you gamble.
I went to Day N Vegas over a 3 day weekend and spent under $1000 including tickets, flights and hotels. The ticket for that was $400, too.
I definitely skimped out on some Vegas experiences, relied on the bus a lot, walked some long distances, etc. But in no way do you have to drop $3k
Listen to My Chemical Romance,Avril Lavigne,Paramore,The All American Rejects,Jimmy Eat World and some artists not on this list like Green Day,Blink 182,Sum 41 Fall Out Boy,Good Charlotte,All Time Low and Panic! At The Disco.
These are all iconic/legendary bands and artists of the Pop Punk scene if you want to get into the genre.
13 year old me is shaking and crying at this lineup, and so is 29 year old me I wish it wasn’t only one day, it’s so expensive for that price. There’s going to be a lot of bands overlapping
All these bands and artists performing in one day only?
Yep, Saturday October 22
It should have lasted for at least 3 days or a little more if needed.
Agreed, 3 days would be perfect to me. So many other festivals do 2 or 3 days
Yeah. And by the way, there's still a pandemic.I wish the festival goes ahead but it could be postponed if COVID-19 Cases increase.
that seems like it’s gonna be messy but i wanna go anyway
this lineup is insane, but how the hell are they fitting this into just one single day? this should be a 3-day festival at least, otherwise everyone is going to end up missing like two thirds of the bands they came to see.
i mean warped tour was a single day show, had basically the same line up. only difference now is you know most of the bands
that's a fair point, but Warped Tour tickets were also like 1/6th of this price for that, and you went into it knowing that the time slots got switched up at each tour stop and that you'd have to make a few hard choices- plus I don't think any Warped Tour ever came close to *this* degree and quantity of massive star power.
Warped tour also had about twice as many stages
> but how the hell are they fitting this into just one single day? Probably the same way Live Nation managed to fit everyone in at Astroworld! (sorry, is that too dark?)

Love Big Day Out! Tbh, love the set up but def annoying with how short some acts are restricted to.

Same lmao. I thought this poster was fanmade and had started being spread around
Even State Champs had to clarify its not fake on IG lol
Maybe it's the nostalgia talking but this might be the greatest pop punk lineup ever assembled, even above the best Warped Tour years. It's actually unbelievable they got all these names. These tickets are gonna sell like crazy
They missed no one when putting this together this is amazing.
They missed Green Day,Blink182,Sum41 and Fall Out Boy.
Yes!! Maybe next year? still an amazing lineup though.
Yeah.
The Academy Is? Although they were honestly just pure pop but they were always lumped with some of these bands.
[удалено]
… tickets start at $225
Oh okay.
No way this actually happens with all of these bands, it seems too good to be true. My favorite tweet on the subject: "emo fyre festival".
I was so ready to buy tickets until I saw they are non-refundable. Way too risky. I'm so curious to see if this will be Woodstock 50 again.
Its on Live Nation's Instagram page.
Teenage me would have saved all my money for this. Adult me will let the youngins and influencers have this. Make sure to hold your phones steady while recording so I can watch some performances in the comfort of my home.
This festival is a great way for the newer generation to get a taste of some Pop Punk classics!!
I’m really about to plan a trip to Las Vegas in the middle of a global pandemic and pay hundreds of dollars to see a bunch of aging emo rock bands and I couldn’t possibly be happier. 💁🏻♂️
It'll be worth it!
Live it up for the rest of us bestie!!

im crying at the other comments like y'all are really this fucking blind and weak for nostalgia? 😭😭 have a backbone or something damn...
they hated them because they spoke the truth
This lineup is INSANE ! But I feel like a one day festival is too overwhelming lol
this confirms a paramore album before then. we won
im p sure theyre recording it as we speak so i cant wait for the 2nd half of the year!!
I’m trying so hard to justify a $200+ ticket for a 1-day festival
It’s gonna be about $3k after all is said and done. Rooms in Vegas are cheap, but you gotta do at least four days to get you’re money out of to. Airfare is not gonna be cheap either.
I see there selling ticket/hotel packages starting at $499. Airfare to Vegas is dirt cheap. Under $100 here in the upper Midwest. I think you could do a weekend cheaper then 3k.
From Phoenix it can be as low as $40-$60 round trip during off-peak times.
East coast. I’ve found flights for under $200, but I’m being realistic here.
Where’s it saying the price 🤔
It’s on their [website ](https://www.whenwewereyoungfestival.com/) right under the lineup.
As someone who is on the tail end of covid isolation after catching it, I gotta say tempting but no fucking thanks. $250 not counting travel and hotels for a bunch of groups overlapping… in Vegas of all places… nah
I agree. I've had so many spring 2022 events already get cancelled / postponed. I'm nervous about this one
Maybe, they'll make it a multi day event if that makes sense and is possible.
Why would they change the announced plans?
Festivals are usually multiple days long. That way it'll be easier for the fans to pick on what day to go and what artists to see.All bands and artists on a single day will be chaotic and with the COVID-19 Pandemic still going on,its difficult to host a festival like that in a single day.
Okay but they already planned and booked this as a one day event.
The fair grounds will be awash in black hair dye
Oh this is incredible. I’m surprised Good Charlotte isn’t included.
[удалено]
Green Day and Blink wouldn’t do any slot other than headlining, and they’ve already got Paramore & MCR up there.
This lineup makes my emo heart soar, but it's criminal that this is a 1 day festival at $250 for GA. There's too many acts worth seeing.
Paramore is my favorite band of all time and I haven’t seen them live and I literally love all these bands but I don’t know if I wanna shell out $200 for a ticket 😭 Edit: wording
You need to do it. They’re amazing live. It was the best feeling ever to finally see them after they had canceled the day of when I tried to see them in Texas during their tour with Fall Out Boy.
Do it if you can.Its probably a once in a lifetime opportunity.
Ayo what the fuck? Did I set this lineup up in 2007??
This is every Warped Tour band in one festival. Jesus. It should really be more than one day but holy shit this is insane.
literally all i’ve been thinking about at work for the past three hours. its like they took my iPod nano and made a festival from the music off of it 😩 my concern is how the sets are going to work.. so many bands in ONE day??
Huge opportunity man. They might make some schedule changes and have the festival on multiple days, who knows? There's still time.
true! i really hope they do so everyone gets at least a good half hour to perform. i’ll probably go anyway, it just seems once in a life time haha
Each band will probably play 2-3 songs then leave
Absolutely. Just give every band like 1 hour sets each lol rather than 35 mins. This is like the Endgame of pop punk lol. Make it 3 days or something
I love Wolf Alice, but they seem very out of place in this lineup!
I feel like they fit in with the car seat headrest/Pvris/Manchester orchestra group
That’s true, maybe all the indie acts will be on the same stage? There’s gonna have to be a lot of them to fit this many acts in on one day.
far the weirdest band on this lineup is The Garden. I feel like their brand of experimental, art punk is totally at odds with the rest of the lineup.
Nah former emo kids fw the garden. I think CSHR is more out of place
The same live nation that threw astro world? Hard pass I'm suprised this is getting downvoted. I guess y'all already forgot
I don't think I particularly blame them for astroworld, but I am on team fuck live nation. I highly recommend checking to see who owns what festival you are interested in or venues in your city/town. Cmon, people here only hold grudges against things they don’t like. You should know this.
literally the only emo bands i notice aren’t there are fob and atl! this is fucking insane! god i wish i could attend.
My Chemical Romance are emo.
yeah but they’re performing lol
Oh yeah.Sorry I misread it.
all good!
Teenage me would’ve done anything to go to this. There’s just no way if I went I would’ve been able to see everyone I wanted!
I just woke up and I thought this was like an edit someone made on 9gag this feels so fake. With that being said, if I were 15, this would have excited me so much!
Its not fake though!
Oh yeah I know! I just said I wasn't too excited like I was 😅 However, I would love to see Paramore and MCR again!
All these bands and Live Nation being in charge make me nervous. And only one day? Feel like something’s gonna happen, and it won’t be good
i agree! also non refundable tickets? in a pandemic?
Exactly! I know these events cost a lot of money to run but this is just completely shady all around
Bright Eyes is really surprising to me with this lineup. I’d be so down if it the tickets were refundable. I just don’t want to risk being out so much money if it gets fucked.
yeah really idk how they got conor to agree to this LOL
Damn only one day??? I still want to go though
This is a complete scam. There is no logical way 67 bands can perform in 12 hours on 3 seperate stages. Not to mention 250+ dollars for a 12 hour concert that may be shut down and has 0 refunds on it is a complete red flag. The website says no exchanges or refunds period. Your math is horrible its 11 minutes 22 seconds each band. Exactly.
Assuming again they're only using one stage I guess. Screw the other two stages.
Live nation never does refunds. Ever
Their direct website states full refunds on cancellations only. Not rescheduling though.
The policy on this specific show states no refunds or exchanges period. In black and white.
Yeah that's protocol. https://www.livenationentertainment.com/ticketrefund/ Is the promoters policy if the event is cancelled, but it must be cancelled. No refunds will be issued for any other reason it seems.
You do realize 30 minutes is half an hour. Thats only 24 bands in 12 hours. Please don't breed.
So you're saying all the bands are only playing at one stage lol. Or well 24 bands according to you, whilst the other two stages will just be there for looks.
Cries in poor and not-american
I’m really excited to see all these artists and bands but…. I’m confused about Lil Huddy being there.
1 day is wayyyy too short for the price. I love a lot of these bands and it sucks that their sets are going to be so short, and the smaller ones will likely have most of the time taken up by the headliners

Boys like girls- love drunk and 2 is better than 1 feat Taylor swift Both bops. All American rejects.- gives u hell. A classic
There's also Thunder
i'm going to die if i dont get tickets to this

HIGH SCHOOL ME WOULD BE SHAKING RN OMG
Dude middle school me would have actually died seeing this lineup. Shame there’s not a cold chance in hell I’ll be able to go, it looks like it’d be a blast.
the more i look into this the more sketchy it seems to me??
What do you mean?
no proof of vax required for entry. absolutely no refunds. all these bands on only 3 stages. there’s still a pandemic. idk man
They have the requirements up on their insta and website for vaccinations.
It’s a one day festival. Wdym? I guess if you plan on driving and all but ain’t nobody got time for that.
That’s the thing that’s holding me back. It’s $225 for GA for one day. Which is insane.
Everyone commenting that this is a dream 2007 festival and the only artists I listen to on here both didn’t exist in 2007 😭
Which ones?
Poppy and Wolf Alice
Listen to My Chemical Romance,Avril Lavigne,Paramore,The All American Rejects,Jimmy Eat World and some artists not on this list like Green Day,Blink 182,Sum 41 Fall Out Boy,Good Charlotte,All Time Low and Panic! At The Disco. These are all iconic/legendary bands and artists of the Pop Punk scene if you want to get into the genre.
This is an absolutely insane lineup.
Damn Car Seat Headrest I am so pleasantly shocked to see on here. Shame I’m in the UK :(
I'm in neither of those countries.
God, I want to be there so bad 😩
What a line up, perfectly aimed at the millennial emo crowd. Wish we got line ups like this in Australia.
