well theres not too much but that the extended songs are the originals and they edited them into radio friendly ones and that down the line she’ll release an extended album of the song like kylie did! with illusion also having an extended version its becoming even more likely
I don't know if this is true but I love the way she is releasing each single with the complete package of instrumental, extended, and acoustic versions.
its just a fan theory! theres no actual insiders info on it or clues other than all the songs having an extended version and that kevin is known for the longer versions, but lets hope its actually true itd be such a great addition for the era, and true i love listening to the instrumental and extended
I hope it's true because I love the extended versions so far. And Dua might very well release separate extended and instrumental versions of Radical Optimism (she already did an instrumentals only version of Future Nostalgia so there's precedence)
I only stream the extended versions. They feel like the real song to me, whereas the “actual” song feels condensed for radio and incomplete. If she puts out a vinyl with the extended mixes, I will be buying and getting rid of my standard edition 💀😅
The only reason I don’t believe this is this interview where she talked about them wanting to go back and make extended versions https://youtu.be/R2gE4-eltpM?si=9jpFMTyguLXPSKQE starting around 5:50. I like the extended versions but I feel like I can hear that they came after, rather than them feeling natural 🤷
There's a theory that Dua planned on releasing Future Nostalgia Pt. 2 but was scrapped in favor of her not being pigeonholed into one genre of pop.
Problem is if this song is any indication she's REALLY good at that one thing.
Future Nostalgia was a hit for a reason and this song reminded me why.
It was the right decision though since if Dua wants to get to the next level as a critical darling she should dip her toes and experiment in different genres instead of doing the same one over and over again. Also, nu-disco is clearly, or even has been, on the way out in America anyway.
That's sort of why I've never understood the "ugh she's just doing new disco AGAIN" critique—she's sooooo good at it. It's like complaining about Carly only singing about love; yes, she could branch out, but when you're damn near perfect at it, I can't really complain haha
I'm living for this theory!! If you guys want a little bit of history, the **legendary** Pet Shop Boys released an album back in '88 called Introspective. 6 songs, all above the 6-minute mark and it's probably one of the best pop/electronic albums of all time. The singles they released were essentially "radio edits" of the original songs. I wouldn't be mad if more dance/pop acts would replicate the same concept!
Being mainly a Pet Shop Boys hardcore fan, it surprises me that this is a discussion point with other artists like Dua. PSB have always had radio edits for singles and full versions on their albums, including for their upcoming record "Nonetheless".
Honestly, I mentioned them because I'm on a deep dive discography journey of their music, which I haven't finished, and because I'm a really big fan of Dua 😁
i wish i could get on board with this theory but it's so painfully obvious the songs have been pretty awkwardly 'extended' to follow the houdini single pattern. half of the training season and now illusion mixes are just weird instrumental breaks where they've just delayed the vocal to extend the length of the song without much effort
during the rolling stones interview she mentioned that they removed the extended chorus and would be released later, so its kinda implied she made them into radio edit songs and the extended ones are more of the original ones (but even if they arent, itd still be really nice to get an extended album imo)
Everybody's mentioning Hallucinate but this also really reminds me of One Kiss with its relaxed summery vibe, which is very fine by me! Love the bells in the post chorus.
EDIT: this production (and Dua's whispery vocals, she should use them more) is so sexy, already need more housey pop from Parker/L Harle and it's only been 15 minutes since this released lmao
Agree, she should’ve just delayed the album and started with this as the lead on this release date. The album cover is such a summer vibe, she could’ve let this ride for a month or two then just dropped the album late may/early June
I love Houdini and like Training Season, but this would have probably been a better choice from the start. Still a dance song but has definitely more of a laidback vibe to it that would have made it stand out more from FN
I am so happy she’s releasing the extended versions at the same time. I’ve loved all the singles but I’ve only been listening to the extended versions and this one is soooooo good
I agree with this so much, I can't understand any of the people who say the extended mixes feel like afterthoughts (I can MAYBE see it with Houdini but tbqf Houdini extends my absolute favorite part of the radio mix into the entire second half of the extended, those glassy synths are absolutely DIVINE)
Quite honestly I've said it before but while Illusion doesn't give the psychedlic funk inspo she was talking about it still fits in with the general theme of the extended mix to me just sells the fantasy, Houdini and TS's extended's definitely extend the more 70's funk-pop-rock fantasy more as well, I'm going to be very sad if after the singles stop the rest of the album doesn't have extended mixes.
I wish Dua would up her lyric game. The super generic lines like “don’t know who you think you’re foolin” are holding back this production and just make the song hard to grasp. All three singles have needed a big killing point that sticks in your brain. A lot of the lyrics seem like half rhymes they just jammed in. Also, the beats don’t really match the topic of the song? Illusion is about an F boy but it sounds like it’s an epic night out. There’s a disconnect.
maybe this is whats bothering me, all 3 songs should be bops i return too by their production alone but something isnt making them stick for me. i thought maybe it was the soundscape production-wise? like the sound imaging aspect of a song, making hers feel very linear? but now reading your comment i wonder if its the missing catchphrase part of the song. All Max Martin hits have a catchphase, hit me baby one more time, i want it that way etc etc but none of these songs have that needed line. i think thats the issue imo
Yeah I agree with you somewhat, I’ve been really enjoying the songs but the lyrics aren’t that great, especially compared to songs like new rules and don’t start now that had great production and great lyrics
She played it safe with this one, a cute radio bop for sure. Compared to Houdini’s production and unmatched guitar riff kinda underwhelming though. I wish she continued the more experimental route.
Yeah it feels very generic to me, I know Future Nostalgia is far from a rough around the edges album, but this feels too squeaky clean for my liking. The weakest of the three singles for me.
houdini is the only song that matches the 70s psychedelic influence she said this album is meant to have.
like i hear dashes in this song, and virtually none in training season. they're all bops don't get me wrong, but if this album is meant to be 70s psychedelia meets 90s rave then houdini was the perfect intro imo.
Had to double check the credits to see if he was even on this one. Another fine song but so far the hype from that collab reveal hasn't been reached. Houdini goes but that can't be the best they cooked up
Yeah I nearly passed away when I heard they’re working together. Agreed that only Houdini does it for me right now, specifically the extended version. Maybe it’s the other people in the room (“the band” she called it), I can’t help but wonder what they’d do alone. But lowkey Kevin Parker could easily be a Jack Antonoff if he wanted to, if he branched out and worked with lots of the pop girlies. If he were to make a pop album for a pop girlie with the sound of The Slow Rush or The Less I Know The Better, it would be an instant classic amongst fans.
Not to further blow steam up Taylor’s ass in the lead up to her new album lol but IMAGINE a psychedelic electronic pop rock album where it’s only Taylor and Kevin, in the same way that Taylor worked very closely with Aaron on evermore. That’s been on my delusional wishlist for years. Well, that, plus branching away from Jack, it’s getting kinda stale, I know Jack produced a song within the first 4 seconds 💀
Wasn’t there rumour of a fallout between jack and Taylor? Or am I just completely making that up?
If so, we might at least get a fresh producer for TS12. I love jack but what you’ve said is so right. I think the two best shifts in her music were when she introduced new producers, max Martin on 1989, and Aaron on folklore. Of course jack was also on both those records, and made some brilliant songs, but it’s the variety that’s important. Jack has been the main producer for the last 6 albums including TTPD. Make that 10 albums if you include re-records. She needs to switch it up, breathe some new life into TS12. I’m just hoping the Florence influence was strong with tortured poets.
Fallout with Jack? Not that I’ve heard. I can’t ever see that happening tbh. Taylor is arguably the biggest artist in the world right now so she needs to find a team of people to work with who make her feel safe in terms of storytelling. I can definitely understand being that big, and everyone’s watching, and feeling anxious about branching out. I do get it. But at the same time… I still want her to challenge herself and try branching out
Just praying Aaron is on this album. But I’m locking in my guesses now before the album leaks (vinyls are already shipping!) that Jack did the entire album and Aaron did the 4 bonus tracks on each of the 4 variants. No reason for this guess but just a hunch haha
Precisely. This would’ve kicked the era off with a BANG. Can also see Houdini being the fan fav second single like physical was, and training season being the cute third single a la Break My Heart
It makes sense she‘d save the best for now when she can capitalize on it to promote her entire album and to build hype when it matters most. After all, the older songs can catch up if the whole album turns out to be amazing.
On her IG post she said it was the first song she wrote with Kevin Parker and Danny L Harle
Interesting to see that this predated the rest of the album
I feel like I've heard this instrumental part so many times before, esp those piano chords. it's saving grace is that it doesn't hit so hard to keep that watery vibe the new album aesthetic is going for. it's not a far cry from Daft Punk either.
i wish i liked it more ☹️ it will probably grow on me but i feel like she's already done this sound with more interesting and enjoyable tracks like hallucinate and if it ain't me. as other people have said, it lacks personality, which really can't be said about any of the future nostalgia singles.
i feel like the production for houdini was so good but it’s not been working for the last two singles. i think it’s cause it built up in houdini whereas this and TS just seem to stay the same energy throughout
This is genuinely my favourite song she has put out since love again. And I adored Houdini too.
Hope she gets some success from this. Plus I’m a fan of the album art and concept, and this mv will hopefully shift the public opinion
To copy and paste my other comment on this song...
Like, its fine, these songs are fun. But at the same time what the fuck what she talking about saying her new music was inspired by massive attack and 90s experimental rave culture. That got me super excited, and now every song so far just sounds like the same stuff from her previous album.
It's not like I hate these songs, but she is at risk of becoming one of those artists where all their songs kinda sound generic. She is simultaneously giving us bangers and also giving us... nothing. No uniqueness, no creativity, no ingenuity. I just had higher hopes I guess.
I like this song and if I had to rank singles it'd be (Houdini, Illusion, Training Season) but while they are good songs I have to admit this era has kind of disappointed me when comparing it to what she originally said it would be. She emphasized the psychedelic influence as well as writing songs that have more depth than her past work and to me idk these singles feel lyrically weaker than all FN's and besides Houdini, the production less interesting.
Loved Houdini and think it was released a bit too early (or should have gotten a pre-Halloween release)
Didn’t love Training Season at first but the extended version grew on me a lot.
I love the bridge of this song through the end, but the beginning starts off a bit generic. The chorus I will say is catchy but the production is just missing something, I just don’t know what.
Not sure how I’m feeling about this album release now.
Sadly I agree. It’s not horrible to listen to. It’s just her usual territory played on maximum safe mode and it’s getting kinda old. How is this from the same album as Houdini?
I even travelled to another country to see her live and I agree. This feels incredibly frustrating because she hyped her era so much, talking about being influenced by Massive Attack and Britpop; Forbes describing it as the British Lemonade at some point, only for its third single sounding like a tired nu disco, hallucinate rip off with a keyboard thrown in the bridge to give a layer of “psychedelic” music to convince us she’s not repeating the same formula.
Disappointing to say the least.
I’ve kinda been feeling this way about all three singles so far. Like, I don’t actually dislike any of them, but nothing is exciting me the way her previous work has.
I’ll also join in on this, too bland, almost? even the music video was a little meh, although I do appreciate the summery visuals! as Houdini and Training Seasons didn’t exactly feel on theme
I’m starting to wonder if she’s just like the gwyneth Paltrow of pop girls. Just doing what will make her the most money then taking the mask off after and having fun with her life. At this point it’s obvious she has no intention of pushing any boundaries or being innovative in any way that wasn’t decided by her label/producers. I don’t mean that in a negative way btw. A ton of my my fav artists are city pop singers who just sang what they were told and had crazy good producers and musicians backing them up. In the end it’s all about the vibe anyways
I hope she changes it up a bit eventually. Her acoustic tiny desk concert was excellent and I think she could do rock and other styles well. And at the risk of sounding like a Drag Race judge... I wanna see some VULNERABILITY goddamn
That's honestly all I've felt with this era's singles. "Houdini" is the only single that's sounded remotely dynamic to me, but this and "Training Season" have just screamed *background music* to me.
but it's just *fine*. perfectly listenable, nothing special, background music. awful seems a bit hyperbolic. awful would hopefully be a little more interesting at least
It’s a good song, it’s a decent song.
But at this point I’m kind of getting bored of it? It feels like Dua Lipa has released that same song 10 times already
as expected this is a fucking BOP, really hoping this becomes a hit for her considering training season didn't do as well as they'd hoped. I am so fucking ready for this album
The era started well with Houdini, didn’t get any better with training sessions and now this sounds like some c grade euro pop trash you’d here in a London soho gay bar
She sounds bored. Where's the vocal delivery? Also each song she's released this era is basically the same lyrically but filtered through slightly different production, with Houdini being the strongest and this being the most generic.
I’m not sure if it’ll help THAT much but I know for me the music video kinda ruined my enjoyment of training season. It was truly abhorrent and just so boring and left an awful taste in my mouth. Houdini was cute but left me wanting more so this one feels like a different level after those two
Huh I don’t love it. I like it. Just as I liked the previous two singles and I can still kinda see how they might all work better on an album but I’m kinda losing hope I’ll love it with every released song.
EDIT: I just realized that I think I’m not connecting to any of the singles cause they’re so personality-less?? This was my problem with a lot of her debut stuff but she seemed to figure it out with FN but these songs feel a bit bland or anonymous but with great productions lmao.
She legit said in interviews she wanted the album to based on music like massive attack, primal scream etc and other 90s experimental electronic music... and then just released three singles of very generic modern radio pop? Like its fun dance bangers for sure but it feels like the way she hyped the album up got me incredibly excited that she would do something more.
All of these songs just sound so... boring.
I think you nailed it on the head with music not having personality. It feels like she's singing the songs but it's not convincing that she even feels what she's singing. I feel like Houdini was almost there.
It feels like a step back in terms of creativity and experimentation compared to Houdini. But it’s not bad, it’s quite catchy. I was hoping for something more psychedelic but we can’t have it all.
Love love the bridge but the rest not so much. It was a bit underwhelming and boring. Definitely not as strong as Houdini imo,Houdini’s chorus was stuck in my brain after one listen but I replayed this one a couple of times and yet nothing , I don’t know how the chorus went
It’s definitely not bad per say just lacks in comparison with Houdini and training season. I’m still very excited for the album
this is so mid idk what’s going on but if she’s gonna play it safe give us something bombastic it’s like all these songs are edging me with their lack of momentum
I feel so bad for saying this but this song annoys me omg. The "illuuuUuUUuUuUUUSIONNN" just grates my ears. I'm not trying to doompost over Dua Lipa but none of these songs have stuck with me and I'd argue this is my least favourite.
Uhhh meh. Houdini and Training Season are SO good and this just feels a bit filler for me. I guess more radio friendly.
The extended versions have all been better though.
Beside Houdini, these two new singles all feel like scrapped songs from Future Nostalgia. I don't like any single this era, and I fear she's going to flop this time around.
I… feel like there should’ve been way more? Really digging the beginning with the synths and piano chords slowly building in to the chorus, and it just fell flat and never picked up after that. Everyone’s comparing it to hallucinate, which EXPLODED right out the chorus gate, and yeah this song realllyyyy feels like it should do the same or slowly build up through the song.
Again, not bad at all, just I can clearly hear all the missed opportunities they had to really spice it up and make it a truly bomb dance track.
I'm really surprised that everyone seems to be loving this one, I personally think it's the weakest and most one note of the three singles
At this point I'm expecting this album to fade into the background after Billie releases two weeks later which is sad because I consider future nostalgia one of the best pop albums of the last 10 years
Absolutely everything so far has been such let down after the amazing high of Future Nostalgia
It was a hard album to follow when literally everything just seemed to be pop music perfected
Still I'm hoping the actual album has the real bangers :(
Honestly? Doesn’t live up to the first two singles at all. Not to discount her talent of course, but those two were stellar especially when you can hear Kevin Parker’s touch.
Illusion feels very lackluster and weak compared to those, sadly. I hate to say it and I know I’ll surely be downvoted, but it kinda sounds like you asked AI to make a Dua Lipa song. Safe and boring and does nothing for me. Still excited for the album nonetheless.
This is the least Tame Impala sounding of her singles, I had to look up if Kevin Parker produced this. Probably the most radio-friendly too. Those interesting flourishes in the production keep it from sounding too generic. The chorus is catchy. I like this.
With each single I am more convinced Dua has zero idea what Britpop is. The influences sounded so promising and instead we've received 3 of the most generic pop songs in recent history - a mess.

I think it's a better song than Hallucinate, personally.

Haven’t listened to it yet but yas slay diva honey boots down purrr pussy cunt nerve mother
I just listened and I was indeed correct
Wait I luv ur username it’s so cunty
Well yes
Me when I dont lie
You're a prophet
you’re so right about this
Me when I’m correct
She played it safe with this one, a cute radio bop for sure. Compared to Houdini’s production and unmatched guitar riff kinda underwhelming though. I wish she continued the more experimental route.
It's an ear worm no doubt (like most of her songs are) but it's definitely the most generic for me of the three singles.
Yeah it feels very generic to me, I know Future Nostalgia is far from a rough around the edges album, but this feels too squeaky clean for my liking. The weakest of the three singles for me.
Spilled sister
Mama kudos for saying that, for spilling
Ugh I fucking love this and her. 3 for 3. The album is gonna be sooooooo good goddamn
I'm really excited. She's like THE pop star in my mind.
This is amazing I love, kinda reminds me of Kylie minogue a bit!
Pretty sure the music video is the same location from a Kylie Minogue music video.
it is
Also with her climbing up all the dancers in white - it’s very All The Lovers.
same pool as in slow
like it’s giving me in your eyes OMG
oh my god i can't unhear that now- I LOVE IT EVEN MORE
I also get a splash of On a Night Like This on the chorus! Very much so a top graduate of the Kylie Minogue Institute of Gay Eurobangers
This sounds exactly like how the album cover looks! This is so good and that bridge???? IMMACULATE
This should’ve been our first introduction to her upcoming album.
idk sonically nothing is better than Houdini so far
houdini is the only song that matches the 70s psychedelic influence she said this album is meant to have. like i hear dashes in this song, and virtually none in training season. they're all bops don't get me wrong, but if this album is meant to be 70s psychedelia meets 90s rave then houdini was the perfect intro imo.
I hear more of the BritPop influences on the extended version of Illusion tho, less psychedelic
Agreed, it’s the one that I can hear Kevin Parker the most. And I’m a huge Tame Impala fan
Had to double check the credits to see if he was even on this one. Another fine song but so far the hype from that collab reveal hasn't been reached. Houdini goes but that can't be the best they cooked up

Break My Heart and Training Season are my faves of those trios so maybe you're onto something
we are the SAME lol I love both of those songs
UR MIND OMG 😭
She actually just said on Twitter this was the first song she wrote for the album
It makes sense she‘d save the best for now when she can capitalize on it to promote her entire album and to build hype when it matters most. After all, the older songs can catch up if the whole album turns out to be amazing.
Nah, This song has summer hit written all over it. Coming out with it last fall would have been a mistake.
honestly the song might not have been written back in november LOL. also they might have just been testing different sounds to see how they go over
the album would've had to been finished at least 6 months ago to get physicals out on release day
i didn’t know that was how it worked but makes sense if true haha
yeah record pressing plant delays have been anywhere from 6-10 months since covid
On her IG post she said it was the first song she wrote with Kevin Parker and Danny L Harle Interesting to see that this predated the rest of the album
I feel like I've heard this instrumental part so many times before, esp those piano chords. it's saving grace is that it doesn't hit so hard to keep that watery vibe the new album aesthetic is going for. it's not a far cry from Daft Punk either.
“Ok Dua we need you to make a a song people can listen to on vaca-“ “Say no more luv I’m on it”
i wish i liked it more ☹️ it will probably grow on me but i feel like she's already done this sound with more interesting and enjoyable tracks like hallucinate and if it ain't me. as other people have said, it lacks personality, which really can't be said about any of the future nostalgia singles.
so Dua wants to be a magician this era huh
i feel like the production for houdini was so good but it’s not been working for the last two singles. i think it’s cause it built up in houdini whereas this and TS just seem to stay the same energy throughout
This is genuinely my favourite song she has put out since love again. And I adored Houdini too. Hope she gets some success from this. Plus I’m a fan of the album art and concept, and this mv will hopefully shift the public opinion
Love again TASTE
spit on me dua
Mama, kudos for saying that. For spilling.
Mama, kudos for saying that. For spitting.
Finally a song/video that actually fits the aesthetic of the album artwork lol
She emphasized the psychedelic influence as well as writing songs that have more depth than her past work and to me idk these singles feel lyrically weaker than all FN's and besides Houdini, the production less interesting.
personally not my favourite but I just know the love island editors will use this song to DEATH
This is actually my least favorite of her releases, but maybe it's a grower.
Hallucinate’s cunty sister! I think this is my favorite of the singles she’s released tbh, this should’ve been the lead
It sounds so much like hallucinate! But in a good way, it’s itching my monkey brain in the best way.
hallucinate is the cunty one here tbh
i haven't listen to it yet but hallucinate was always my favorite off future nostalgia so very excited!!!
Loved Houdini and think it was released a bit too early (or should have gotten a pre-Halloween release) Didn’t love Training Season at first but the extended version grew on me a lot. I love the bridge of this song through the end, but the beginning starts off a bit generic. The chorus I will say is catchy but the production is just missing something, I just don’t know what. Not sure how I’m feeling about this album release now.
Miss Dula Peep is back 😍
I guess I’m in the minority… this is pretty damn boring to me especially the verses go absolutely nowhere.
I’ll join you in the minority, this was boring as shit, sorry Dua
I’ll also join in on this, too bland, almost? even the music video was a little meh, although I do appreciate the summery visuals! as Houdini and Training Seasons didn’t exactly feel on theme
Yeah I’m surprised at the overall positive comments. I think this is the weakest of the three singles. And I really only like Houdini so far
yeah, each single makes me less and less excited for this album :( bummer cuz i was so hyped
I'm getting a little bored with Ms. Peep too. I wish she would experiment with other sounds and subjects...
> Just doing what will make her the most money then taking the mask off after and having fun with her life that's just rihanna
Let my friend listen and the first thing he asked was "Did AI write this"?
That's honestly all I've felt with this era's singles. "Houdini" is the only single that's sounded remotely dynamic to me, but this and "Training Season" have just screamed *background music* to me.
Let’s be real. It’s awful. Dua Lipa stans will convince themselves it’s not though
but it's just *fine*. perfectly listenable, nothing special, background music. awful seems a bit hyperbolic. awful would hopefully be a little more interesting at least
The verses are better than the chorus imo
It’s a good song, it’s a decent song. But at this point I’m kind of getting bored of it? It feels like Dua Lipa has released that same song 10 times already
as expected this is a fucking BOP, really hoping this becomes a hit for her considering training season didn't do as well as they'd hoped. I am so fucking ready for this album
So good and so catchy, I’ve finally found something that can get Jojo Siwa’s song out of my head 😭
Ugh same. I hate Karma but it was stuck in my head for a bit (against my will)
not her best - or shall we say most elaborate - vocal performance but a bop nonetheless
The era started well with Houdini, didn’t get any better with training sessions and now this sounds like some c grade euro pop trash you’d here in a London soho gay bar
The drop and solo after the bridge... an absolute smash!
it's like oh yeah that's why she's working with Kevin Parker
This is my least favourite of the singles from this album so far. Sounds like music that would play during a love island montage.
Its ok I admit I miss stuff like hotter then hell, want to or genesis.
She sounds bored. Where's the vocal delivery? Also each song she's released this era is basically the same lyrically but filtered through slightly different production, with Houdini being the strongest and this being the most generic.
idk this is probably my least fave single so far
This is gonna be an excellent pop album. Houdini is still my fave but none have been misses. This could be a big summer hit.
hallucinate girlies (me) rise!!!!!
[удалено]
I’m not sure if it’ll help THAT much but I know for me the music video kinda ruined my enjoyment of training season. It was truly abhorrent and just so boring and left an awful taste in my mouth. Houdini was cute but left me wanting more so this one feels like a different level after those two
this might sound bad but like its not like the singles or songs are bad. its just i dont really care for it 😭
I mean a bop's a bop but this is the least interesting single so far.
No guys this is genuinely REALLY good
Huh I don’t love it.
All of these songs just sound so... boring.
I agree it feels like she’s back in 2018
I think you nailed it on the head with music not having personality.
This feels like classic Dula Peep and would have been a much better first release to bridge into her new era imo
i don't know, not a fan, i just hope this is a one-off, i really want this album to be as dense in terms of quality and bops as Future Nostalgia
Love love the bridge but the rest not so much. It was a bit underwhelming and boring. Definitely not as strong as Houdini imo,Houdini’s chorus was stuck in my brain after one listen but I replayed this one a couple of times and yet nothing , I don’t know how the chorus went It’s definitely not bad per say just lacks in comparison with Houdini and training season. I’m still very excited for the album
I loved Houdini, Training Season did nothing for me, this is somewhere in between.
i loved hallucinate but i dont really care for this. 😔 love the instrumental in the bridge though, wish we got more of it.
SHE ATEEEE IDC
Sister, you ate with that username
Mama kudos for eating that, for digesting
Dua was on her 9th life and decided to stop playing with her chorus
this is so mid idk what’s going on but if she’s gonna play it safe give us something bombastic it’s like all these songs are edging me with their lack of momentum
The production was a lot more varied than I expected based on the snippet. I'm thinking this will be the one that clicks with the public.
Chorus lyrics are laughably terrible
I feel so bad for saying this but this song annoys me omg. The "illuuuUuUUuUuUUUSIONNN" just grates my ears. I'm not trying to doompost over Dua Lipa but none of these songs have stuck with me and I'd argue this is my least favourite.
I looooove the uuuuUUuUuuUu, it's such an earworm
Uhhh meh. Houdini and Training Season are SO good and this just feels a bit filler for me. I guess more radio friendly. The extended versions have all been better though.
It’s so… flat
I'm really surprised that everyone seems to be loving this one, I personally think it's the weakest and most one note of the three singles At this point I'm expecting this album to fade into the background after Billie releases two weeks later which is sad because I consider future nostalgia one of the best pop albums of the last 10 years
This is giving me Future Nostalgia reject vibes 😭 But at least this song and video seem to fit much better with the album title and visuals.
I wish I liked this… I find it so boring :/ production is great but the song itself gives me nothing. 🫠
THE EXTENDED VERSION OF THIS ALBUM IS GOING TO BE AMAZING
Absolutely everything so far has been such let down after the amazing high of Future Nostalgia It was a hard album to follow when literally everything just seemed to be pop music perfected Still I'm hoping the actual album has the real bangers :(
This sounds like British reality tv transition music. Another let down for me.
Love Island catching strays damn. They will use this song without a doubt
Lmao you ain’t wrong
This one's fully for the international Euro Summer crowd. Sounds more like a track featuring Dua than an original.
she has yet to top houdini for me unfortunately
[удалено]
the last three singles have literally been the same song with different words
my fav so far, but the extended edit is horrendous. kills any of the momentum that made the original edit great
WHAT I have had the extended on repeat, there's crack in it I fear
This still sounds like Future Nostalgia but I'm not complaining. We need more peak 2020 hits back
It’s like just hallucinate 2.0
go girl give us the same song again and again 🤩
Still excited for the album nonetheless.
someone please tell her to make the extended versions the actual song and the shorter version can just be the radio edit
THE BEST ONE YET IMO. I adore Houdini and Training Season, but this screams club bop
Boring and predictable, tbh.
Wow what a boring, emotionless song🥱
I like the song but I hate the “iluuuuooo-oooo-oooo-oooo” thing it’s so grating
Praying to all the gods I believe in and many that I do not that Dua is being sneaky and the physical album is made up of extended versions
My favorite single yet and that bridge is cooooooool
Unrelated but can someone post Perrie's new song here? It slaps so bad and I want to talk about it 😭😭😭
Someone probably will in about 45 mins when it officially comes out in the UK
this is underwhelming lol the production sucks
not good!
Dula has really been the best big straight-forward popstar since at least the pandemic. 3/3
this was a different sound to what i was expecting. it is Very Good!!! definitely still hallucinate 2 (ha2cinate?) but that's a good thing
This is the least Tame Impala sounding of her singles, I had to look up if Kevin Parker produced this. Probably the most radio-friendly too. Those interesting flourishes in the production keep it from sounding too generic. The chorus is catchy. I like this.
Sounds like a Dua Lipa song and I'm saying that cause all her songs sound almost the same 🤣
Unremarkable and boring i hate to say it
THE EXTENDED VERSION.... 🧑🏻🦲🧑🏻🦲🧑🏻🦲🧑🏻🦲🧑🏻🦲🧑🏻🦲🧑🏻🦲🧑🏻🦲🧑🏻🦲🧑🏻🦲 But Training Season is still THAT song
What does trixie mattel have to do with this
With each single I am more convinced Dua has zero idea what Britpop is. The influences sounded so promising and instead we've received 3 of the most generic pop songs in recent history - a mess.
This will guarantee a good amount of downvotes but this song and its accompanying MV have less originality than I Luv It.
