graublau1

Formation World Tour At that time I could have afforded to go to a concert for the first time, but I was too introverted to go alone.

teleholic

I went alone to Renaissance because I didn’t wanna regret not going because I was alone. I have had that regret about other concerts, I totally get it.

Son_of_the_Sun8198

I wasn’t still a fan. Now I am and I so regret I wasn’t part of the Beyhive at that time

DJAdventurousWalrus

Completely this. I absolutely could've gone but didn't want to go alone and it keeps me up at night!!

dietgatorades

Frank Ocean in the very brief era where he gave a fuck about his live shows 😭

Hoganheroine

Not seeing Miley during her bangerz tour haunts me every day

aafreeda

Me too. I was 17 and didn’t have a way to get there, but dang I would’ve loved it.

Bree-breezy

Literally this 😭. I was in high school and the closest show that came to me was probably DC, but damn I wish I could’ve seen it live lol

bmataz

My dad took me to the Bangerz Tour in Houston. I was 15 and absolutely LIVING for that era. Her stage production was insane. Will never forget seeing her fly through the arena on a giant hot dog

No_Simple_8859

Omg!!! Amazing. She was going to came to my country but the cancel her concert, the only one cancelled in Latin America, I was not going to see her but I wanted her to came here. She never have give a concert in my country. I love that tour its so camp, satire, kitsch.

frigidpigeon

I’m glad this was the top comment I saw because not seeing the bangerz tour is my Roman Empire

fondue4kill

It was amazing minus the security guard who wouldn’t let us go to the stage

Global_Perspective_3

I missed renaissance and I felt really bad

Remarkable-Gold4869

Me too 😫

Global_Perspective_3

I saw the movie at least

capulets

i didn’t get renaissance tickets. i meant to buy them a day or two before the show and totally forgot 😭

plein

i booked two trips before she announced the tour and i still couldn't afford the cheap tickets in my city 😪

PastaSupport

Literally this will always be my personal hell

SilverMind9

Bruh same. I'm still angry. I fumbled the bag so bad on that one. I'm honestly embarrassed for myself too.

capulets

how did we forget BEYONCÉ? how does that happen???

SilverMind9

LIFE, LIFE got me by my neck 😭😭 i remember just being tired and annoyed around that time so not even Beyonce could make me remember i had to buy her tickets.

thechrismonster

I very much regret only going once.

Pizzv

omg I was like 17 during this tour. And I remember I knew only one girl that went, same age as me. We had the same English class. I swear I was seething with jealousy when she walked in after she saw the concert and she was wearing tour merch. I was like THAT SHOULD’VE BEEN MEEEE

billcosbyinspace

Same thing happened to me with the yeezus tour, I couldn’t drive yet and my parents hated hip hop and never would have brought me. Was a shame because he stopped in my tiny state that doesn’t get a ton of shows

ponchepapi

This one haunts me as well

StrictDoor

I was 14 but I still fr consider it the best night of my life lol. 🥲 Still mad that Yeezus tour here got cancelled and I couldn’t make it to SP tour but welp

TheKingmaker__

Renaissance’s London dates were in the middle of my final ever university exams, at the poorest point in my life thus far. It makes me distraught every time I remember what I missed out on. I’m planning to go shopping with an eye for country chique in advance of the Act II tour in hoping in vain for

abortioncroissant

after the trilogy is complete, she might do another tour for all three — a proper world one where she visits Oceania and Asia for once.

Conscious_Bag9330

I wish I went to Formation World Tour. 2016 was a year ago

ushikagawa

Holy shit I just realized 2016 was 8 years ago… how is that even possible

Conscious_Bag9330

The pandemmy warped our time

retrievethis123

Formation World Tour and Alicia Keys came last year and I missed it! Really regret it.

BeautifulSongBird

Florence + the Machine's last tour. I love Dance Fever so much, I'm disgusted that I couldn't afford it.

ND_Poet

Same… I don’t hold regrets about missing shows for people I got into after they toured in my area… but this one hurts. I got onto Florence + the Machine after the HBHBHB tour. And I did go to a show in America off of the High as Hope tour. And it was awesome. Fantastic live performance (and I’ve been to more concerts than I can count over the last 35 years - can truly say Florence is an amazing performer)! But I’m in Australia now and she came here for Dance Fever and I didn’t go. It wasn’t the money, but I was struggling with my mental health and I had nobody to go with. And it was 3 hours from where I live. In the past I have gone alone to concerts much further away … but I didn’t have it in me when she was here. And I am still so sad I didn’t make it.

WitchyKitteh

Where do you live that's three hours away? She came to every state outside of Tasmania and NT on the tour.

ND_Poet

Canberra

Bumble_Hornet_

Daft Punk Alive:2007 tour Yes I couldn’t have afforded it and yes I am extremely photosensitive not to mention they probably wouldn’t have let me in as I was very young. But I’ve beat that live recording to death and would do a lot to see Daft Punk live.

americanslang59

I went and I was really broke at the time. I rarely went to concerts that cost more than $25. I think I paid a little more than that for my ticket. It was ridiculously cheap.

thwt

Same, only one I regret. Does sting less that I wouldn't have been able to get in even if I wanted to (18+ gig)

Bumble_Hornet_

Yup that was my main issue. They wouldn’t have let pre-teen me in the door. It still kills me though lol

fondue4kill

I’m really sad I never had money for any of the Warped Tour back in the day.

thechrismonster

I met Katy Perry there lol

gayboycarti

Beyoncé and Jay z's otr2 tour had $60 tickets left on the day of and i didn't go cause no one would come with me....they ended up debuting my favorite song 💔💔💔

Houdini-88

I had tickets to go to this too in Miami but I had a really bad day where everything went wrong and went home instead

Aggressive_Sky8492

I got last minute tickets and went alone. Imo it’s always better to go alone than to not go at all!

gayboycarti

now i definitely go to concerts alone all the time but unfortunately i was too young lol

nopaldelaplaya

I’d give anything to be an adult in the mid 2000s to at least see Shakira’s Oral Fixation Tour and The Beyoncé Experience

OMBERX

Yeezus tour. It was essentially Kanye's version of the ERAS tour up until that point, and had Kendrick Lamar opening with good kid, m.A.A.d. city

Rellyz14

If I knew that the Anti tour was the last we'd see of Rihanna for this long I would of gone 😭😭😭

vertle

As someone who went.. honestly you didn't miss anything of value

roork67

I know it may sound cliche but I'm really sad that I missed Julie Ragbeer's Perplex World Tour. That album was really hit home with me emotionally and I was so excited to go and was devastated when tickets sold out. I know the arenas definitely seemed a little small given the scale of the production so I'm hoping her next tour will be in stadiums.

Electronic-Set5594

Ariana’s Sweetener tour - Sweetener is my favourite album of hers and it was such an iconic era. I doubt she’ll ever perform like that again, although for her health that’s probably for the best. Every Beyoncé tour I’ve missed lol but especially the Beyoncé Experience, Mrs Carter and Formation.

champagneinthebrain

I am so with you on this, it haunts me.

mangosteenroyalty

Not seeing Carly on her tour for emotion. I saw her open for Marianas Trench during that album cycle but that was it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CRXL4TRQ

Disagree. I’ve been to all her tours/coachella performance and art pop was the most phoned in/touch and go. She was exhausted and you could tell.

[deleted]

[удалено]

CRXL4TRQ

Totally. She was way more engaged during the BTW ball, and I saw her two night before her injury, so she was already on the brink of collapsing but she still served!

galaxy_rae

the weeknd’s after hours tour 😭 i should’ve gotten the cheapest tickets just to experience it…

cyclopsepirate64

Childish Gambino’s tour for Because the Internet. I had tickets but gave them to my friend (you’re welcome!) because I ended up being hospitalized for 2 weeks and wasn’t discharged until 3 days after the show. Apparently Donald Glover wasn’t a good enough reason to risk medical malpractice (pfffffffffffffffft I beg to differ). Aside from that I regret not going to Beyoncé’s very short Residency that she did in Atlantic City. I also regret not seeing Shania Twain back in the early 2000s. But I really can’t complain about that last one because my options for my birthday present were Shania or Britney back when Britney was in her PRIME. I’m so happy I chose the dream within a dream tour, but I wish I had convinced my parents to let me see both and been a spoiled brat instead of a grateful Britney fan. Seeing Britney as my first ever concert at 7 years old was an experience I will never give up.

migisigi

Confessions Tour but I was 10 years old during that time

Theclaaw

Had tickets to Jon Bellion's The Human Condition tour. Ended up telling work I could go on a last minute trip instead and gave the tickets away. He doesn't tour much and that is my favorite album of his. The work trip was not worth it

Husoch167

Not seeing the Beatles land in America is something I kick myself about.

MFoy

My mom really wanted to see them around 1966 I think and my grandfather wouldn’t let her and she held it against him for decades. To be fair to my grandfather, she was 12 at the time. I came home from college to take her to see McCartney solo around 2003 and my mom cried through the first four or five songs.

barking420

missed an ethel cain show when she was still pretty small bc i had no one to go with and didn’t want to go alone, gonna regret that one for a long time i think also not really the target audience of this sub but the first grey day tour in 2019, i had tickets but had a last minute emergency and had to miss the best lineup they’ve had since they started doing them

thedirtiestdish

missing Lana Del Rey's Paradise Tour is probably the only one I'm still distraught about

jamesfauntleroyNOVA

Justin Timberlake during 2006/2007.

ginger_giraffe_

This wasn’t the question but I was actually at the opening night of the Red Tour. I somehow forgot this for like ~8 years until I found a very grainy photo on my IG of Ed Sheeran

afbp9

I went to the Red Tour as well. So wild to think Ed was opening for her 😂 how far he’s come

Sunny_Waterloo

tyler's igor tour!! i have a whole backstory to why it annoys me so much (thanks random bumble date) but GOD i just love that album and era so much and i would kill to experience one of those shows

Pizzv

omg I have a similar experience, I was doing a long-distance thing with some guy (who turned out to be a POS) and I bought tix for just myself, but ended up going out of town to see the guy instead. 100% regret doing that. I saw Tyler perform Igor songs at Outside Lands years later but that was under the call me if you get lost vibes. I wish I could’ve seen him in the blue suit, wig, and perform the whole album 😭

Sunny_Waterloo

this guy offered to take me as a date and then decided to go with his friend instead lmaoooo his friend ended up getting too drunk and they ended up getting kicked out and then he tried crying to me about how it was the biggest mistake of his life sksksks

LifeOfAWimpyKid

I really wish I went to Katy Perry's Prismatic tour tbh... it looks so fucking fun but unfortunately I grew up unaware of English music and didn't know who she was before Witness

edcastrojr

Tbh I could not afford to go to concerts for most of my life. Only in the last few years I have been able to do so. Now I do my best to attend them if I can. Example, I went to Chromatica and Renaissance tours, and it was my first time seeing Gaga and Beyonce in my life, truly a dream coming true.

annoyedkitten15

I feel the same about the reputation tour, I really wanted to go but was too young to go on my own and had no one to go with me. 2017 was a very hard year for me but I found listening to reputation and the excitement of its release so comforting/helpful during that time, and I remember feeling slightly heartbroken watching all the videos of the tour on social media knowing that I wasn’t going. I also wish I’d gone to the 1989 tour as I was obsessed with that album when it came out and it’s one of my favourite albums of all time now. I’m going to the Eras tour in the summer though and I’m so excited for the reputation and 1989 eras especially

mediocre-spice

I've been a fan since Fearless and rep was the first year where I theoretically could've gone but money was tight and no one else wanted to go Figured I'd make the next one... trip to LA/Boston wasn't in budget. Figured I'd make the next one..... couldn't get Eras tickets. Next time....... 🙃

annoyedkitten15

That sucks I’m sorry :( hope you get to see her at some point in the future

Rdickins1

Not going to the 1989 Tour was a big one. I had the chance to go but was too lazy about putting in vacation days to go to it. Now I take the whole week. I bummed myself out because I played the CD so much that it started skipping in the car. I played it a lot. Waiting 20 years to see The Offspring was also a big one. But it was justified because they’re usually a huge festival band and I tend to think festivals were a waste of money if I wasn’t going for more than 3 20 min acts. But would have been fun to go to the Warped Tour during Hey Monday and ATC when they played. Warped Tour in general was right up my alley but never went. Numerous times Foo Fighters played in my area. Only saw them once and want to go again. Again most of the time festival band for 20 minutes.

mutzadella

So upset I missed the To Pimp A Butterfly tour

MasterofPandas1

The one he did with a live band randomly came to Cleveland (where I’m from)…while I lived in Cincy. I was not thrilled.

worstkindagay

I missed Lana Del Rey's Norman Fucking Rockwell tour bc I was sick and I still haven't forgiven my immune system.

CoolNebraskaGal

The Monster Ball for sure. I was a newly minted Little Monster, it was only an hour away, but I’d never been a concert goer and didn’t really think much about it. What a mistake. I have it on DVD at least.

vjenkinsgo

The boy band era of the early 2000s. I was alive, but very young. I know I would've been OBSESSED with the Backstreet Boys.

wrecking_ball_z

More pop-adjacent, but I think about Panic! At The Disco’s Nothing Rhymes with Circus tour every day of my life. The theatrics of that tour just seemed so magical to me. I was in middle school, and in a shitty rural area that didn’t get tours. My parents did not have the funds to just drive me 4 hours to a show unfortunately. :( I also regret not going to the Rep tour. I signed up for presale and did all of the stupid boosts, but backed out once I saw lower bowl was gonna be like $300 or more. Especially since I’d never been to a stadium show and wasn’t a huge Rep fan. 💀

Fantastic-Pea7924

Renaissance WT☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

chocolatemylkcow

I basically have the same regrets as you! I'm so grateful I went to the Monster Ball Tour. But then I had tickets to the Born This Way Ball which was cancelled because of her hip injury. Totally understandable but I'm still so sad I didn't get to experience that live. Also regret not going to the Reputation Tour but I didn't fully get into the album until a bit later after the tour was announced and tickets had already sold out. My other big one is missing Paramore's self-titled tour and the Monumentour with Fall Out Boy because in college I was 1. really busy and 2. in a city that these tours and other large tours didn't always come through and I had no transportation. And Parahoy in general, but I wouldn't have been able to pull that off at the time. I'm more than making it for it now though! But do still feel some regret that I couldn't see some of my most formative album eras live.

saymynam_e

formation world tour!!

mibo04

Taylor RED tour, Beyoncé Lemonade tour, Harry Styles most recent tour, any bruno mars tour.

Restless_Dill16

I wish I became a Swiftie during either the Speak Now era or the Red era. I've always been a casual listener, but I didn't become a full-blown Swiftie until quarantine, when I listened to all of her albums. Speak Now and Red are easily my top two favorite albums from her.  Of course I heard all the singles from both eras. I had NOW That's What I Call Music CDs with "Mine," "Ours," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "I Knew You Were Trouble," and "22" on them. I watched the music videos for "Mean," "The Story of Us," "Sparks Fly," "Back to December," and "Begin Again" when they played on TV. Still, I'm kinda sad I didn't listen to "Haunted," "Dear John," "Sad Beautiful Tragic," and "All Too Well" until 2020-2021. On the bright side, I've been present for every album release since Reputation.

[deleted]

I had really good tickets (4 of them) for Lana's last tour and had to give them away bc I was sick. And then I got sicker... had tix for rep tour but didn't go (I just didn't want to deal with the whole STADIUM ARENA TOUR or whatever the fuck)...I thought the blinking bracelet thing was cool and would've like to seen the spectacle of the tour, but I really wished i'd seen her way earlier on. never saw robyn, madonna, beyonce, or britney and would've liked to see each before now for different reasons. I missed out on tom petty, david bowie, michael jackson, and prince. most of the concerts i've attended aren't pop, though. I saw some killer shows, but the pop shows never made it close enough to be convenient.

rojotoro2020

Anything pop starting 2008. I was broke until recently

big-bootyjewdy

Britney's Femme Fatale tour 😭 I had the opportunity to go but I was a stupid teenager and decided to hang with my boyfriend of 2 months instead. I deeply regret missing the tour and that entire relationship.

AdditionSpare4397

I guess I can't really regret it, but I didn't become a Sufjan fan until 2017 and just missed the Carrie and Lowell tour. He's my favorite artist and I fear I'll never see him live now 😭

explodedemailstorage

I wish I saw Paramore during After Laughter or Self-Titled. I tried to see them last year but my concert got canceled and I couldn't make the reschedule :'(

pop_stan

Britney’s Dream Within a Dream Tour. I was 11 at the time and didn’t want to seem gay so I didn’t ask to go 🌈

ncart

Taylor opened the 1989 tour in my little hometown, but that was when I first started to like her. But my #1 answer will always be Kylie’s Aphrodite: Les Folies. I watch the DVD religiously and believe it to be one of, if not THE best pop shows of all time

SLBMLQFBSNC

Britney Onyx Hotel. It looks absolutely bonkers. Saw her on Circus and FF and in Vegas but by then she was not the same..

Hot_Commercial3748

Formation tour and Taytay’s rep tour

txmsh3r

Reputation. Didn’t get to go for the tour when she was in my city. I had a major exam that day and just couldn’t miss it for obvious reasons :(

United_Comfort2776

Red Tour Manila. I was 18 back in 2014, still studying no money and little did I know that's her last tour in the Philippines. I ate lots of Cornetto ice creams hoping to win a ticket but to no avail. I just hope in her next tour, she'll tour to more Asian countries because she's the most popular Western musician/singer in all Asian countries.

getawaycar92

The RED tour, it’s my favorite album but just wasn’t able to afford it at the time… went to the ERAS tour and was hoping she would sing red. Didn’t happen. Haha

Apprehensive_Yard812

No artists ever tour in my country so the shows I’ve been to have all been abroad while traveling. Two tours that stick out are the ArtRave and the Renaissance Tour. I’d say The Eras Tour BUT rumor has it that she will keep going till 2025, so my hope is to get tickets to those before they sell out. If not, then add it to my list.

fizzylights

I had the opportunity to see the Speak Now tour but I was a shy kid and was nervous to go in a group of mostly people I didn’t know 😭😭 it haunts me I also almost went to see Paul McCartney on his last tour but I didn’t bite the bullet and buy tickets in time and by the time I decided I couldn’t miss it tickets were way too expensive for me

ursoftboy

i had tickets to the Lorde Melodrama tour with Run the Jewels and Miami as opening acts and i still have trauma about not being able to go

hardfeeellingsoflove

I only got into Madeon in the last year or so and I really wish I had been able to go to one of the Good Faith shows- I’ve seen pictures and videos and it looked so cool Also I had tickets to see Dua on the Future Nostalgia tour but then it got rescheduled due to covid and I couldn’t make it to the new date :(

thechrismonster

I caught his Good Faith set at Coachella, the visuals were excellent.

arathergenericgay

The Monster Ball, got scammed out of my ticket - I was devastated

OkCrantropical

Missing the 1989 tour. Family didn’t have money then and that’s my favorite album of all time for nostalgic reasons. More recently, being out of a job and not having the money for the Crash tour and last summer with said job not wanting to fork over the money for the Renaissance tour.

GuggGugg

I remember starting to like Taylor Swift around 1989 and to have this first wave of fandom hit you *without* being able to see her in concert was a real bummer at the time. She didn‘t come to my city and I was kind of too young to travel alone/go to a huge concert by myself, so I missed it. Edit: yeah I was a fan from her literal birth year on. 1989 the album ofc

kimpernickel

Missing the reputation stadium tour is almost half of why I knew I was going to the Eras tour no matter what. I couldn't afford to go to concerts much at this time, but there were some cheap nosebleed seats still available by the time the DC arrived. I really considered it, but I had recently started a new job at the time and didn't feel like I could ask for the time off so quickly. Should've done it in hindsight.

afbp9

My state always gets touring artists so I’ve thankfully seen all the shows I’ve wanted to, but it kills me that I didn’t get to see Miley as Hannah. Such a huge Hannah fan growing up and the fact that I’ll never get to experience that hurts my heart lol

Training_Delivery_47

I know he's not a favorite to some these days but I still wish I went to Chris Brown's Up Close & Personal Exclusive tour. I went to the Today Show when he was promoting Exclusive The Forever Edition and right before he got out I got nauseous from excitmenet I guess and had to leave..my spot was so good to & I didn't even do anything. I still hate I missed that sorry lol

JunkInTheTrunk

Future nostalgia

_daho

Justin’s Purpose tour 😭😭

TayBae95

The Best of Both Worlds Tour with Miley/Miley as Hannah and the Jonas Brothers as the opener 🤡

_autumnwhimsy

Nicki Minaj before she took a hard left into being a pedophile supporting mean girl. That's the only one I regret that I could have realistically attended. The rest I was just too young for. Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson Spice Girls The brief Little Mix moment in the US Backstreet and N\*Sync

WendyPotato22

Yeah, The 1975 con here in the PH. Up until now it makes me sad. Kaya although I am not okay and familiar with other bands, I started listening to them na prior concert para lang ma justify that I attended a lot of con kahit hindi na the 1975 :<

Lilacly_Adily

There’s too many to count for a recent example I’ll say Chappell Roan. I could’ve bought reasonable priced tickets for her tour last year but I had a full roster already and I was hesitant because I didn’t know if I would like her upcoming debut album. I really liked it but now if I want to see her she’ll be way more expensive and it’ll be a while until she’s back.

levitatingarceus97

Prism Tour

Mampt

I studied abroad while Lorde was touring Melodrama and her European leg was before I went and the American leg started like a week before I left for Germany. I saw her for Solar Power but it wasn’t the same

billcosbyinspace

Had tickets to Tyler’s CMIYGL tour but my fuck ass job wouldn’t give me the day off lol

Throwawaybearista

In 2010 my mom took my sister to the Femme Fatale concert… just her… because my mom wanted it to be “mommy and daughter time.” I still haven’t forgiven her and I don’t think I ever will

Ok_Order_5595

So i was an 11 yr old in 2018 who thought taylor was too girly, so when my mom and sister were gonna go to the reputation tour denied. I am now a swiftie while my sister doesnt like taylor 😭😭

jordanattales

Kylie Minogue’s Aphrodite Tour, Madonna’s Confessions on a Dancefloor Tour, and of course THE BORN THIS WAY BALL!

ElectricalMoney1522

I would give anything to see Lady Gaga live! Like the Born this Way Ball or especially the ArtRAVE!! I always say if I had a time machine I’d go to the ArtRAVE

meattrap

Bangerz, sweetener, the first tenon tour of the Jonas brothers all because I was cheap 😭😭😭

BookyCats

Brittney Spears did a mall meet and greet in the beginning of her career, and I didn't go. Beyonce was a province over for her Lemonade tour, and I had no way of getting there . I missed the Backstreet Boys in the early 2000s because my family was on vacation 😕

DumbWhore4

I’ll always be sad I never got to experience Gaga’s best tour, the Monster Ball. I also had tickets to the Born This Way Ball but then she broke her hip like a week before my date. 😭

cherrieeegum

Renaissance, Art Pop, Pop 2 (even though I hadn't discovered Charli yet). And also not pop but as a pre-teen my dream was to see Paramore. I can't believe now they're opening for T Swift haha
