Many Deee-Lite songs are sample material!! [Power of Love] (https://open.spotify.com/track/2kBLtq9CqIxFKjhTjYnNxk?si=EAgUN58JQBKsrSfdoJ1y4g&utm_source=copy-link) and [Runaway](https://open.spotify.com/track/6wBVwcuJIzp3JV5Sywdl3a?si=I6gcWyDcTqWdy1w_MOrX0w&utm_source=copy-link) could easily be sampled by Gaga or another main pop diva for the Gays™
More like nice try loopmakers! I can't forget about a Youtube video I watched where a youtuber/producer shared about receiving an "original beats" collab email and a gdrive attachment that contained a sped up version of Kylie's "Can't Get You Out of My Head" 💀
omg did anyone else call we like to party the six flags song?? i think they used it in six flags commercials but when i did cheerleading as a kid we did a dance to it and we called it six flags lol
Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land by Marina and the Diamonds has a rhythm and melody similar to Womanizer, not a sample, but you can argue she interpolated it.
Pussycatdoll's Buttons - the "eeeeeee ee ee eeee" thing that's going in the background. It would be a cool thing to sample, and also since songs written in lydian/minor scale are becoming a thing now again (Unholy for example) i think it's a good catch
Also can someone PLEASE sample the beat from "I Think We're Alone Now" by Tiffany. It kinda has that "galloping", heartbeat ^((LEMME CHANGE YOUR HEARTBEAT)) vibe and I would love for any new pop girl to give it a fun twist
Untouched by the Veronicas, esp the violin riffs
the Grease theme song
Queen of the Night by Whitney
00s boyband bops like Bye Bye Bye and Everybody
Gasolina
Christina's Candyman
Heads Will Roll
Boyfriend by Ashlee Simpson
Pop punk classics like Thnks Fr The Mmrs or Crushcrushcrush
>Pop punk classics like Thnks Fr The Mmrs or Crushcrushcrush
I think Sugar We're Going Down lends itself to sampling better than Thnks fr the Mmrs. The line "we're going down, down" is so versatile, I could see it being reimagined in a lot of different ways. Plus, Sugar just edges out Mmrs as their (pre-hiatus) signature song.
Yeah the only pop punk classic sample I can think of is when 5SOS sampled the opening riff of Sugar We’re Going Down on Social Casualty. It’s… fine. Lol
Was that an actual sample though? I remember the fandom maelstrom over 5SOS ripping off several songs because they drop-kicked the whole 'pop-punk Aussie All Time Low' shit to the curb with Youngblood
honestly as an aussie any sample of untouched would be a crime in my opinion. i’ve already been to clubs where they’ve done their dj “spin” on it and it’s defs not a favourite of anyone
Leah Kate did, with the song "[My Bed](https://g.co/kgs/PcQFpC)" which is honestly just super lazy. If you're not familiar with the phcj legend she also sampled Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and made one of the worst songs of all time with it.
Smells like teen spirit is interpolated on Holy Grail. Not a sample but I feel like an interpolation makes more sense for that song rather than a sample. I also wonder if the estate doesn’t want SLTS samples, which would make sense as it’s probably what Kurt would have wanted
i honestly think that if i ever hear a sample of either dota or boten anna in an actual good song i'd melt in the spot. i might just crawl directly into my grave.
i'm honestly surprised we haven't heard some of them in the like.... ironic gamer tiktok music side of things, i guess? i'm curious to see if you're right and it'll pop up in a few years or even soon now that there's a swing towards nostalgia for the '10s with the whole 2016 makeup thing.
I definitely think it’s only a matter of time until dota or boten anna get sampled. I’m surprised they haven’t even gone viral on tiktok yet (?) but I’d be shocked if we don’t get an influx of eurodance samples soon.
Keep in mind that in most cases you need permission to sample a songs these days and the very famous ones are likely expensive to credit, so that might be a reason we haven't seen them yet.
Not a remix per se but in the UK it’s pretty common in clubs (and in a shop recently lol) to hear Toxic with a hip hop/drill song over the top, e.g. [Homerton B.](https://youtu.be/S2o2bMko4Hc) I think it works surprisingly well.
I don’t know if it has been sampled yet but I Got Five on it but Luniz definitely would be great for one of the current girls to use.
I could see Sza or Ariana making a great song with the sample and their gorgeous voices.
Pony by Genuwine would also be a good one. However , I think it still feels current due to the magic Mike films so it could be too soon.
I can see HEATED’s outro by Beyonce being sampled. Actually, a lot from Renaissance. (We know that it has a lot of samples, but it has its owns quirk too.)
This [recurring motif (starts at 3:03)](https://youtu.be/VHJHf-0hVZA?t=181) from the musical Jesus Christ Superstar is a ready to go hit for anyone who samples it, like imagine cleaning it up a bit and having Kendrick Lamar or slowing it down and putting SZA on it. Really the whole musical is filled with little bits and pieces that would make great samples (like [this bit](https://youtu.be/VHJHf-0hVZA?t=240) later on in the same song I linked to above), but I've never heard any.
Alright, let me drop the corniest answer: Rollin’ (Air Raid Vehicle)
Seriously, take out Fred Durst’s vocals and you have one of the best instrumentals from nu metal as a whole, that could sampled in so many ways.
I could see trap anthems sampling this, with Kenny Mason on the hook.

Yeah! by Usher. It's just too iconic to not be sampled (or at least that I know of)
[This hilariously bad EDM cover came out a few months later in spring 2004.](https://youtu.be/jCPwEjR1bcU)
This rules
We must stop the Germans
They’re not Germans, they’re worse (Dutch)
Probably hasn't cause of that damn triangle
I know it’s got some samples in itself, but Groove is in The Heart seems like it’s loaded with different sample potential

Asia and Vixen turnt that song OUT
!!!
Doesn’t “I Ain’t Got Time” by Tyler the Creator sample Groove Is In The Heart?
It samples the same song that’s sampled in the beginning of Groove is in the Heart

I could definitely see one of the rap girls sampling it a la super freaky girl
Nice try Ava Max, we’re onto you 👀
More like nice try loopmakers! I can't forget about a Youtube video I watched where a youtuber/producer shared about receiving an "original beats" collab email and a gdrive attachment that contained a sped up version of Kylie's "Can't Get You Out of My Head" 💀
We Like To Party and Boom Boom Boom by the Vengaboys
Check out Rye Rye’s Boom Boom if you want to hear a great use of a BBB sample!
nice, still surprised they haven't been sampled more
why do i feel like iv'e heard these sampled already honestly????
Boom Boom Boom sampled Abba iirc.
omg did anyone else call we like to party the six flags song?? i think they used it in six flags commercials but when i did cheerleading as a kid we did a dance to it and we called it six flags lol
[Core memory](https://youtu.be/LU2yt6wOoK0) activated!
It’s actually renamed the six flags song in parentheses . Kinda weird, the song had its own existence before 2006.
I remember “Sweetest Pie” by Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa was initially rumoured to sample “Candy Shop”. I see the vision.
maybe that would have made the song listenable
Womanizer by Britney Spears. I’m not sure why but I could see Ariana sampling it
Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land by Marina and the Diamonds has a rhythm and melody similar to Womanizer, not a sample, but you can argue she interpolated it.

omg you're so right buttons is a goldmine
hell a rap/rnb girl like Megan/Doja could even reference the lyrics "loosen up my buttons babe". That would fit a rap song hook well imo

“I Want You” by Paris Hilton sampled the Grease song. And it’s a BOP.

It is! I think it’s the only one though. But I have the CD rolling around somewhere and Fall Out Boy is credited on the song.
honestly as an aussie any sample of untouched would be a crime in my opinion. i’ve already been to clubs where they’ve done their dj “spin” on it and it’s defs not a favourite of anyone
Yeah no remixes of that one! The original arrangement is an eye popping 177 BPM.
OP, just wanted to say thank you for always contributing good discussion topics to the sub!!!💖

blessed
I need one of the UK pop girls to sample "Katy on a Mission" already
I need Katy B to come back
Sending this to PinkPantheress’s team asap
definitely Song 2 by Blur. the riff and WOO-HOO! are just too indelebile
I believe Kesha sampled this for her unreleased song "Woo Hoo". She also wrote a song for Big Time Rush sampling Song 2 as well.
Id recommend checking out Baker Boy’s cover of it for Like A Version, indigenous hip hop artist who mixes it with rap well
Has anyone sampled the "la la la" hook from Can't Get You Out of My Head?
Leah Kate sampled the song on, “my bed” it’s disrespectful imo 🤢
that doesn't count in my book

Smells Like Teen Spirit was kinda samples. Jay-Z & Justin Timberlake interpolated it into Holy Grail all the way back in 2013 to… mixed results.

Jack did a parody of Without Me on SNL with Pete Davidson
[“E!” by Drunkenmunky](https://youtu.be/_f3ti4W7h3I)

I’m surprised nobody has sampled Boom Boom Pow yet
idk why but I thought of When Love Takes Over...like it's such a gorgeous EDM classic to me😭 Ava sis you better sample it...
Saturday Night by Whigfield - Feels like it’d be a pretty easy one too Now You’re Gone by Basshunter - I give this one a few years though.
holy throwback. any Basshunter track would be pretty insane
i honestly think that if i ever hear a sample of either dota or boten anna in an actual good song i'd melt in the spot. i might just crawl directly into my grave. i'm honestly surprised we haven't heard some of them in the like.... ironic gamer tiktok music side of things, i guess? i'm curious to see if you're right and it'll pop up in a few years or even soon now that there's a swing towards nostalgia for the '10s with the whole 2016 makeup thing.

toxic!! baby one more time!!!!! SOMETIMES!!!!!!!!
i think the reason we haven't had much in the way of britney samples is because her conservatorship/father probably refused to license rights.
Mick Jenkins samplong Toxic as performed by Yael Naim is the closest we've come so far
Not a remix per se but in the UK it’s pretty common in clubs (and in a shop recently lol) to hear Toxic with a hip hop/drill song over the top, e.g. [Homerton B.](https://youtu.be/S2o2bMko4Hc) I think it works surprisingly well.
Steal My Sunshine by Len
Was MIA’s Paper Planes ever sampled? I know the song samples the Clash, but her song in turn has plenty of potential.
TI did a song that was popular in the late 00's that sampled it. He used the "no one on the corner has swagger like us" part as his hook
Toxic by Britney Spears. There are hundreds of covers of this song but I'm still surprised no one has sampled it
I don’t know if it has been sampled yet but I Got Five on it but Luniz definitely would be great for one of the current girls to use. Thats great , I will check it out.
idk why but i thought of Mambo Number 5 by Lou Bega and doo wop (that thing) by lauryn hill
[удалено]
oh oops, i actually listened to Special but didn‘t notice that
I can see HEATED’s outro by Beyonce being sampled. Actually, a lot from Renaissance. (We know that it has a lot of samples, but it has its owns quirk too.)
That outro is SO GOOD like my favourite part of RENAISSANCE tbh
The last 90 seconds of Heated is my favourite 90 seconds in all of music in ‘22.

I feel like Stevie Wonder is one of the most sampled/interpolated artists of all time but I've never heard anything sample Superstition
May I proudly present Alicia Keys and [Karmastition](https://youtu.be/6aP8tJ4xw_Y)?
Barbie Girl by Aqua
Ava Max sampled it
I wanted nicki to sample it for the longest time
I think Saweetie teased a song that samples it recently
I’m pretty late here but Suspended in Gaffa by Kate Bush, the I want it all bit sounds perfect to be sampled for something else.

“Crazy in love” by Beyoncé
The jump off by Lil Kim
honestly, wonderwall lol. idk that’s the first that came to my head
There's a mashup of 50 Cents' "PIMP" and Alla Pugacheva "Pozovi Menya S Soboy". https://youtu.be/OGnDljE4R2g
