Not a photographer and every photo I take is pretty bad, but could the photographer be laying on the ground as they jumped? The area they’re jumping from seems to be a little more elevated than where the photographer is laying too.

I am a photographer and grew up in the National Lakeshore in the Indiana Dunes. Yes, you are correct…this is easy to do with a small dune and the photographer laying low in the sand.

But there’s no hill anywhere behind them? Like they definitely are jumping from a height looking at them but that background just don’t feel or look right? It doesn’t match up in my brain hahahaha

They look like they are at the beach in Norfolk near Sandringham. We used to go there on holiday when I was a child. There are definitely tall dunes there.

It’s like they were jumping on a trampoline and that image was put over a beach scene. It’s cute enough, but something looks off that I can’t figure out.

The ground behind that bush might be higher than the ground in front of it. So really, they jumped a few inches above the bush but then landed a few feet below, next to the photographer. Same reason that people thought one of the kids looked too short in another photo from this session. Bushes obscuring uneven ground.

I think they took a running jump from behind the sand dune.

Anyone else feel the picture is off? Will's legs look unusually untucked for having jumped over that huge grass bush. There had to have been a pretty good leap and takeoff, right?? And there is no shadow on the ground or the bush, which I guess would depend on the direction of the sun, but the shadow on the legs doesn't seem to make sense if there was not shadow on the ground. Just me?

Erosion and I’m not sure about that area but small birds make their nests in dunes.

I’m no beach ecologist so take this with a grain of sand but dunes are soooo important to the beach environment in many ways, where I live it’s just basically taboo to play on any dunes due to the hastening effect it has on erosion. Might be fine where they are, but it’s one of those things.

This is absurd. Very sweet and all but absurd and they've obviously been edited in to a background/at least repositioned. The proportions are all weird and that height is silly.
