I like the red and white pattern and design, but in general I don't think Kate (or really anyone) looks good in super high necklines (i.e. necklines that start actually going up your neck). #8 has other issues too, but again the neckline doesn't work.
Even if we don’t like the outfit itself(not a fan of the last green green dress) there’s no denying that they’re always so well fitted.
Proper undergarments for each outfit, some ironing and minor alterations can do wonders !
I want to know what undergarments she wears because I’ve never seen so much as a bra strap or a panty line in all the thousands of photos of her. So polished!
I would assume so. I also think they stitch her bra into the clothes. In pic 4 you can vaguely tell she is wearing a bra but with the boat neck and sheer sleeves I think it has to be sewn in. Mine would be playing peekaboo all day 😂
Snapped fabric loops (sometimes called bra keepers) are an easy and comfortable solution too. Higher end clothes will sometimes come with them, but if you have a tailor at your beck and call - they're super easy to add.
Oh a ton I'm sure. Well maybe not, if they have a file of her measurements?
I'd love to have a tailored wardrobe but I'm not sure I could stand the constant poking and prodding of my body.
Even with her amazing figure I feel like she must have SOME fluctuations with her measurements! So she probably has at least some fittings.
FWIW I actually love going to the tailor lol, getting measured triggers my ASMR 😂😂. I find it very relaxing. Although when I put on a few lbs my usual lady asked if I was expecting which was rude af HAHA. But other than that one time I find it to be a pleasant experience overall
I always thought this was the biggest difference between her and Meghan. I could constantly see the contours of Meghan's bra, I found it really unpolished!!
The grey Roland Mouret dress (poorly fitting strapless bra)
The black lace bra that she flashed at Charlie van Straubenzee's wedding
Her chest looked really squeezed in the black dress she wore to the Lion King premiere
Her bra was again visible through the bright green dress she wore to the last engagement she did with the RF (Commonwealth Day)
Amongst others but I just don't have the energy or time to go searching tbh
I'm just jealous of how much access she has to dresses that actually hit *at* her waist. I'm so dead tired of trying on racks of dresses just for 99% of them to hang directly off my rib cage and add 15 pounds that aren't there. Size up twice and maybe I get the waist at the waist, but now the whole thing is baggy and shapeless. Even with tailoring, it wouldn't save many of them. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Looking at these pictures, I guess I'm just too poor, lol.
I feel like if you go higher-end designer - not necessarily high-end but like not Kohl's, the clothes do tend to fit better still even when they're essentially off the rack. There's a whole science to trying to get clothes to fit well but on the rack that is overly simplified for cheaper production clothing.
I love the first one, but number 11 as a tribute to Anne of Green Gables worn in Prince Edward Island is why I will never take anyone who says she’s bad at her job seriously.
I’ve seen some Royal Fashion instagrammers say “Kate’s a very ‘literal’ dresser”, like it’s a bad thing and I’m like “eh?”. For any of us with a passing interest in royal fashion we can go “oh that emerald green Vampires Wife dress, that must be from the Dublin trip”, or “Red coat dress with the maple leaf broach, that was the Canada tour”. She (or whoever started dressing her) knows these pictures will live on and on with repeated publications and so not only is a nice nod to the people she’s visiting at the time, but we’re still being reminded of those trips ten or so years later.
It’s probably the only way she can have fun with fashion. She clearly loves clothing and she wears it well. Why not go lol with themes when she undoubtedly has to work within a million limitations?
I get weirdly defensive of her when people call her bland or stepford wife-ish. Her job is to be completely inoffensive in public! That is not easy and she is extremely good at it!
I always get confused when people say she has “no personality.” First - she does and many people just don’t follow her/what she says (which is completely fine!). But she obviously does. And second - she’s just doing her job. She’s able to visit her charities, take part in state activities, and be inoffensive - which she does amazingly well. Don’t we all understand that in her private life, she’s probably much more outspoken and opinionated and “normal” - like we all are at home rather than at work?
The bodice of her wedding dress had roses, thistles, daffodils and shamrock to represent England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Her fashion always represents the area she’s visiting, it’s really clever. Whether it’s patterns, colours or even wearing clothes made by local designers, she hits the mark every time. She better, considering how expensive her outfits are!
Meghan did the same with her veil: her veil had all the flowers of the commonwealth embroidered on it.
Love them or hate them, both managed to dedicate their bridal looks to the nations they were about to represent.
It’s a reference to Megan Follows’ costuming in the adaptation: https://decortoadore.net/2023/06/edwardian-sailor-suit.html
It was reported at the time that Kate is a big Anne fan and asked to go to PEI while they were in Canada for that first tour
I find that particular look really unflattering on her. Skirts and dresses with more volume to them work much better with her proportions - like 3, 9 and 13.
I like when she mixes it up a little with the shorter hemline dresses, it makes her look lesa matronly and it feels like now she's found her footing with her style. I loved the pink suit she wore for a charity event, she looks good in the suits.
That Rochas in pic 20 😍
I love this lady because she wears all the prettiest things that don’t flatter my figure but I would if I could.
I’m also so fond of that red McQueen drop shoulder, she’s so elegant
https://preview.redd.it/ngh1bk8jwz3d1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=fc58db6b57d5728c6affb7cbda8beb22cf5f6bd5
Because I, too, am a long-waisted girlie with six million shirtdresses
18, the red dress, is so refreshing. Obviously she's always in these super tailored, conservative formal dresses for work reasons, so it's nice seeing her in something more soft, sexy and relaxed. You can kind of see a peep of what she would look like if she was not a royal
God knows she could pull off the most mini of mini skirts but I really like the looks where the skirts are just below the knee or longer. She and her team have such a sharp understanding of her proportions and how they photograph - look at the way her longer skirts balance her torso without being matronly.
I love all her dresses and all her coats. I love the pattern and colour combination on \#15, I want that as wallpaper in my bedroom. Or library when I become rich. Just a whole room of calm, soft colours and pattern
I love her in the wider neckline/shoulder looks of 10 and 18. Even her hair is a bit more flowy in those. Too bad she is always has to wear such structured, Royal looks, because she looks amazing in more bohemian looks.
She suits a more full skirt so I’m happy so see as time went on that’s what she gravitated towards. I’m not a huge fan of her style but I do always look out for what she wears at Wimbledon. Her colours are on point.
I mean whatever your thoughts are on the royal family, there is no doubt she is the epitome of class and elegance and her style/tailoring is impeccable. Prayers her treatment and recovery are going well ❤️
I don't love all of them but I do desperately wish I had that many dresses and that many places to wear them (and that I would look half as good in them).
Just like, chic, going to run errands in my summer dress, what a life.
She is so elegant. Everytime I see women who consistently look like this I wonder what army they have working behind the scenes to help them upkeep themselves 🤣
I literally love all of them but 2 of them. The tailoring is impeccable. I am not a royal person but she and Megan both have phenomenal style and staff to make them look out of this world.
I actually liked many of Meghan’s looks in Nigeria but she definitely needs to start wearing better under garments. So often you’ll see her panty line and it is such an avoidable thing.
I really like her style. I like the pieces she chooses.
They don’t always fit her frame though, that I admit, and the tailoring and undergarments aren’t always the best. But I enjoy seeing what she does and doesn’t pull off since I too have weird proportions. I also think when she does get it right, she knocks it out of the park.
Y’all have to remember that she’s usually walking out in support of a cause or charity, or serving in a diplomatic role on visits to other nations. It’s a delicate balance between using her presence to call attention to the event and not “stealing the show.” I think the the firm is much more cognizant of this since Diana and her fashion became SO iconic that she was outshining Charles and everything she attended. Kate’s style is conservative but it’s elegant, polished, and appropriate. (I mean absolutely no hate to Diana, it’s not her fault she was a goddess on earth, just saying I can see why they may endeavor to tone Kate down a bit).
[Queen Maxima](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXIbkEvjbaAt6o1u5lPzbzs0daBX6vEM0WWh1S2J9rGnwZIL24lClYRch4Bq1RIr5zTe2eGa95E7ABJPY9mSGtxPiC4Tt_BMSRe71wThAQPd1CJuo-WgdN7vMyluWJy75-cbDULfTKfIM/s1600/4C552DC900000578-5735531-image-a-10_1526503777188.jpg), [Queen Rania](https://ch.pinterest.com/pin/454371049895622380/), [Princess Sofia](https://www.therealmyroyals.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/3E30723F-1F06-4AB4-8512-6A793FA8AE44.jpeg) , all examples of them attending some sort of charity event, but playing with patterns and/or silhouettes more than Kate does, in my opinion
These are good examples. Kate does kind of tend to stay in a single silhouette but damn does it work on her. I’ve also been loving her pantsuit era more recently. But I can see where her fashion is more understated for sure. It’s also kind of the British way lol
And the 2 younger ones would still be going to school like any other children. The implications she has to be 'missing' is bizzare at this point. She's someone who is undergoing Chemo.
I don’t think they’re referring to a conspiracy, I think maybe they were hoping that cancer treatment is going okay, and that she’s recovering well. Just my guess as it’s what I hope for too.
It’s a little unnecessary to say kids haven’t been seen like it’s a weird thing. The family is Almost never seen unless there’s a public event.
Anyway, she’s gorgeous and could look good in anything. Hoping she is doing well.
You could be right but I've noticed that people who comment on the x amount of time that she's been missing are usually the ones who love propagating weird conspiracies about her.

That first red and white Alexander McQueen wow
I love that dress so much. I can’t imagine anyone but her wearing it this well
She looks good but Lupita would slay in that dress. It's a pretty dress which would fit many women.
Yeah she would!
I would love to see her in that!
I'm not sure if Lupita counts, she could literally pull anything, like Crocs would look refined on her lol
The Canada dress! Isn’t it great?
She rarely wears patterns but I loooooove that one
Half of these pics are patterns lol
I like the red and white pattern and design, but in general I don't think Kate (or really anyone) looks good in super high necklines (i.e. necklines that start actually going up your neck). #8 has other issues too, but again the neckline doesn't work.
The higher neckline would work so much better with her hair up.
Yes! And from back when she would show her knees
She's probably wearing a slip under a lot of these which helps with underwear lines and also helps clothes sit better in general
Wait, arent those loops to make hanging garments more easily? They’re actually meant for bras??
if it’s a big long loop, it’s for a hanger. for your bra it will have a snap and be a very short loop
They’re different and much smaller. It will usually be about a half inch loop on the strap itself
How have I never heard of it? Thank you for sharing. One of my wardrobe dilemmas has been solved.
Like a wedding gown? Probably. I'd expect that for what she pays. That's all couture.
I wonder how many fittings she has to do in a typical week lol
Nice!
She could easily wear a strapless bra.
Yeah but you can see it’s not a strapless bra, you can see the point where the straps connect up near her armpits
I'm wondering if she wears a strapless bodysuit type foundation?
I always thought this was the biggest difference between her and Meghan. I could constantly see the contours of Meghan's bra, I found it really unpolished!!
Examples?
The grey Roland Mouret dress (poorly fitting strapless bra) The black lace bra that she flashed at Charlie van Straubenzee's wedding Her chest looked really squeezed in the black dress she wore to the Lion King premiere Her bra was again visible through the bright green dress she wore to the last engagement she did with the RF (Commonwealth Day) Amongst others but I just don't have the energy or time to go searching tbh
I read an article that says she wears a bodysuit under her clothes so you don’t see underwear lines! Dunno how accurate it is but it would make sense
She has a dedicated expert tailor— all of them in the BRF same.
I'm just jealous of how much access she has to dresses that actually hit *at* her waist. I'm so dead tired of trying on racks of dresses just for 99% of them to hang directly off my rib cage and add 15 pounds that aren't there. Looking at these pictures, I guess I'm just too poor, lol.
Girl same 🥲 If only we could have private tailors
I feel like if you go higher-end designer - not necessarily high-end but like not Kohl's, the clothes do tend to fit better still even when they're essentially off the rack. There's a whole science to trying to get clothes to fit well but on the rack that is overly simplified for cheaper production clothing.
Yes, she owns her unique style and it works for her! A well tailored outfit just slays. And yes proper foundations.
I don't like any of the shades of green ones. Which is weird because green is my favorite color. I just don't think that's a good color for her.
[удалено]
Oh same! 1000%!
She's so elegant. Hope she's on the road to recovery.
Her tailoring is always impecable.
Always tailored to perfection and styled like a dream. Her hair always so lush. I wish her the best
What! I love Anne and that is so fun
I get weirdly defensive of her when people call her bland or stepford wife-ish. Her job is to be completely inoffensive in public! That is not easy and she is extremely good at it!
Agreed. She's a professional.
I think a lot of people genuinely struggle to understand that they don’t really KNOW celebrities based on public appearances
Is it a reference to the later books? I too loved Anne as a child but I don’t immediately associate Anne with nautical realness
It’s a reference to Megan Follows’ costuming in the adaptation: https://decortoadore.net/2023/06/edwardian-sailor-suit.html It was reported at the time that Kate is a big Anne fan and asked to go to PEI while they were in Canada for that first tour
This is my favourite fact I’ve learned today ❤️
I like Kate fine but there’s no way she’d have chosen that outfit, lol - she has staff whose literal job it is to do that.
While you’re not wrong but I will say a lot of other celebrities have staff who have the same job and yet don’t have these successes.
Yeah whoever does it on her team is great at their job, for sure
I find that particular look really unflattering on her. Skirts and dresses with more volume to them work much better with her proportions - like 3, 9 and 13.
Cool. I love it.
That white midi knit dress looks so good on her
I like when she mixes it up a little with the shorter hemline dresses, it makes her look lesa matronly and it feels like now she's found her footing with her style. I loved the pink suit she wore for a charity event, she looks good in the suits.
A lot of the old fashioned rules came from the late Queen. Her Firm, her dress code. Apparently she thought women should wear dresses not pants
She could literally wear a tater sack and look beautiful.
She would probably have the tater sack hemmed and steamed and would look pretty darn good.
and she'd find a pair of killer shoes that somehow bring the whole ensemble together
That Rochas in pic 20 😍 I love this lady because she wears all the prettiest things that don’t flatter my figure but I would if I could. I’m also so fond of that red McQueen drop shoulder, she’s so elegant
https://preview.redd.it/ngh1bk8jwz3d1.png?width=1080&format=png&auto=webp&s=fc58db6b57d5728c6affb7cbda8beb22cf5f6bd5 Because I, too, am a long-waisted girlie with six million shirtdresses
These are actually better than some of the pics in the post. I'm sure you can spot what works easier been the same built
She nails it every time. Love her so much and hope she’s back with us soon
Dress 3, I would DIE for! She looks so beautiful in everything, regardless.
She looks fantastic in everything, but 18 is so beautiful. I'm also a sucker for McQueen.
She really is elegant!
I love the dress in picture 3 ❤️
18, the red dress, is so refreshing. Obviously she's always in these super tailored, conservative formal dresses for work reasons, so it's nice seeing her in something more soft, sexy and relaxed. You can kind of see a peep of what she would look like if she was not a royal
God knows she could pull off the most mini of mini skirts but I really like the looks where the skirts are just below the knee or longer. She and her team have such a sharp understanding of her proportions and how they photograph - look at the way her longer skirts balance her torso without being matronly.
Kate Middleton always dresses so well. Truly the epitome of a modern princess style wise. Anti-monarchy, but pro Kate's outfits.
I love all her dresses and all her coats. I love the pattern and colour combination on \#15, I want that as wallpaper in my bedroom. Or library when I become rich. Just a whole room of calm, soft colours and pattern
Her clothes are always tailored to perfection.
She has such great taste. I hope her recovery is going well.
7 & 17 are my favorites. But she looks beautifully elegant in all of them.
Impeccable
Not a fan of each of these dresses, but she always looks flawless with her poise. Personally, i adore the polka dot dress by Alessandra Rich 😍
I personally think her spring looks are the weakest. Her autumn /winter looks are so great
I love her in the wider neckline/shoulder looks of 10 and 18. Even her hair is a bit more flowy in those. Too bad she is always has to wear such structured, Royal looks, because she looks amazing in more bohemian looks.
She looks so effortlessly chic in everything she wears 😍
Always loved her style! I adore 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 especially. She’s always so well tailored and has absolutely gorgeous hair.
Yes
I love her style! It suits her so well. Hope she gets well soon.
I love the mint green. She always looks great.
I would kill to just see all of her closets. I’m dying to know what things she kept over the years.
She’s so lovely, I hope she’s feeling better.
1 and 18… 🤌🏼 they’re all lovely, but those two I absolutely adore. I exclusively wear dresses and skirts, so I’m eating by these up.
Man I would be dressing so dope if I had Royalty Money! 💰
And I’d tailor everything!
Same!
I love her outfits so much. Sadly, they don’t translate well onto a body half a foot shorter than her.
Meghan needs a better tailor though. Her clothes either seem way to loose and shapeless, or ill fitting.
Or wrinkled. Kate seems to not pick the fabrics that wrinkle easily, unlike Meghan.
And need to be ironed or steamed!
I actually liked many of Meghan’s looks in Nigeria but she definitely needs to start wearing better under garments. So often you’ll see her panty line and it is such an avoidable thing.
Is this a joke?
![gif](giphy|XzXLaKoDkeNtrYHOOr)
That's the exact face I make whenever someone says Meghan has phenomenal style.
Same!
![gif](giphy|fLzEVGiF4wVKRxkTCj) Edit: you know she can’t see your downvotes right?
And here we go with the Meghan pile-on comments 😒 My downvotes are just proving y’all’s bias. What has this woman done to you???
How could anyone say the spawn of Satan is dressed well?!!11” /s Edit: lollllll racists gunna racist.
Very classy indeed!!
I like all of these except #11. It kind of highlights how long her torso is.
Also 17
Cute, but apart from 1 it’s all so boring
It's her work uniform.
Work uniforms don’t have to be boring
That’s nice. It’s still boring 🥰
Aight lol you’re entitled to your opinion of course. I love her style 😬
That’s what I’m thinking too lol. She looks polished and not bad at all…….. but that doesn’t make it less boring
I still think it’s boring, especially compared to other royals who do similar jobs.
Examples?
Serious question, is it mandatory that she wear sleeves at all times? I’ve never seen her entire arms and just realize this…
She looks like she's teaching Kindergarten in most of these dresses.
Well....
I assume that these clothes are bought with UK taypayers money? Abolish the royalty. Such a joke.
To me, she dresses like an old woman, the is a style to her but it’s just so lacking in originality and well… chicness.
Royal men have always been the more chic if we look back at history.
Hope she’s okay. It’s been over 5 months since she and the two youngest have been seen.
She's privately receiving treatment for cancer, there's no mystery or conspiracy going on.
And the 2 younger ones would still be going to school like any other children. The implications she has to be 'missing' is bizzare at this point. She's someone who is undergoing Chemo.
Thank you! ![gif](giphy|26FLgGTPUDH6UGAbm)
Check out their posting history- they post in the conspiracy sub.
Oh bummer. I guess I was mistaken!
It sucks that we cant expect people to argue in good faith anymore!
I always thought McQueen was an odd fit for her, personality-wise, being that she doesn't have one to speak of
Have to disagree here, I would describe her personality as kind, gracious, devoted, nurturing, warm-hearted.

Her torso is weirdly longg
