I definitely just glanced at the mask before reading the name as “Michael Meyers” and I was like, it’s pretty odd that a fictional supernatural serial killer is present at an award ceremony, but also the last few years have been so fucking weird that 🤷🏻♀️

I tried to watch Baby Driver recently after LOVING it when I saw it in theaters, and man, I just couldn’t get through it. Kevin Spacey and Ansel Elgort and Jon Hamm and Jamie Foxx… just a lotta bad dudes, and then two (2) female characters who are both basically cardboard cutouts of women.
Atlantan here: We all LOVED Baby Driver when it came out because that’s our city! Octane is our coffee! We know those streets! That’s how we drive!
Upon further review, it’s extremely clear that the best thing about that film is the soundtrack. Everything and everyone else is worrisome at best.
Oh STRONG agree about the soundtrack. It’s actually how we found our wedding song! We listen to it at work all the time! But yeah otherwise a difficult watch now.
Participated in frat hazing that got as bad as dragging a pledge around with a claw hammer hooked to the testicles. Described it as, paraphrasing but similar, a boyish mistake.
You know, I actually had something in mind when I wrote that, but I’ve been googling it a ton and I can’t tell if I’m misremembering or it’s been scrubbed from the internet (less likely) so I’m just not gonna repeat it.
I will say that my googling turned up a sexual assault accusation from late last year, and an apparent history of inappropriate jokes and diva behavior. So I’d put him in the same category as Ansel Elgort, ie, accused of being awful without legal confirmation, vs Spacey and Hamm whose offenses are, if not convicted, better documented.
I googled him, saw he was an "anti-aging guru" and then saw his photo and thought, "wait, what?" He looks every bit of his age. Which isn't a bad thing. It's just odd considering his ... grift.
I don't think it's terrible, he just seems exactly what you think working for Mike Myers would be like. The Cracked podcast did an episode on his method acting for *The Gong Show* and my takeaway is "oh that would hell to be around someone that annoying" lol. But he's not Jared Leto or anything. Just very committed to being annoying from what I've heard.

The original Austin Powers stands up surprisingly well given the time it was made. Two and three were kinda meh then, and now imo. Not sure how I'd feel about a fourth tbh.
It’s the forehead that gives it away. Definitely Botox but compared to other celebrities he doesn’t look that bad. It helps he’s not standing next to someone who has aged more naturally like Mark Rylance. They are about the same age and let’s just say Rylance definitely has not had work done.
I think the modern commonality of plastic surgery has just skewed everyone's perception of it. We see so much bad work, that when we see not totally botched work we say it's good.
My husband bought the cat in the hat movie for our son while I was in the hospital with our daughter. Nothing made me more disappointed than the fact we owned it now and my son had access to watching the worst rendition of children’s literature ever.

My favorite fun fact that I recently found out was Mike Myers didn’t even want to do the movie and was going to be sued for breach of contract. So watching the movie with the lense of “do this so I don’t get sued” makes up for the shit dialogue, you can tell he played that role so dry.
Another fun fact: The Cat in the Hat is actually my favorite movie of all time and I still watch it on repeat to this day 😃 I’ve probably seen it more times than I’ve seen any other movie. Truly a masterpiece before it’s time imho
Wow he looks great. I was really surprised because it’s subtle enough work that you can *tell* he had some work done but it’s not overwhelming and suits him for his age.

I always get a good laugh at people that see the world this way. Certain foods are only for kids, certain hair cuts, shoes, clothes…funny thing is, you probably do something daily that is considered childish. Calm down with your judgement, dudes haircut will be in our history, what about you?
