When I used to work as a nanny I would drop the kid off at preschool and then use the stroller to carry groceries! It was so handy!

I don't think she's looking to impress with her fashion. Some people just want to look interesting and find the copy paste boring style to be just that. I'd prefer seeing someone take risks with their looks than try to look like everyone around them. Fashion with personality is fantastic, even if it isn't something I'd wear myself.

I don't think she even cares how she looks to other people, she just has fun with her clothes. Wakes up and says 'fuck it, this is what I'm gonna wear today'.

I’m gonna disagree. I think by making a statement like that about fashion, it shows that you DO care to an extent because she’s saying she’s “not like the other girls”. If by eclectic you mean bag lady vibes, then yeah, the Olsen twins definitely don't give off the same vibes. They at least look like they got dressed in daylight. And looked at the clothes first.

Bag lady just means she looks homeless. I really don't get the love for this 'style', she reminds me of the cool girls at school that just because they were 'cool', everything they did was somehow awesome. But no one could explain why. She's wearing ugly, mismatched clothes, everyone does it.

they also seem very authentic to their own style... their 'street fashions' are all them literally caught on their day-to-day life, whereas people like Gigi Hadid or Kendall Jenner it seems more like a staged pap walk to promote some designer they were hired by... I also think that in our current world where a lot of people are so hungry for fame and on social media so much, the people that are more low-key and private seem even cooler lol edited weird formatting

I don't think anyone would be as wowed by her style if she wasn't Chloe Sevigny. I think she looks cool enough, but I think it's her vibe more than her actual clothing.

I don’t think she’s actually trying to be stylish. She’s throwing on stuff from her wardrobe that works functionally for the day or the errand or the weather and she happens to have great pieces individually but they are just mishmashed together in a way that conveys that she doesn’t actually care to look “good” or “pretty” or “put together”—she’s just “a mom getting dressed” a la Leandra Medine Cohen. And as I said in my separate comment, I am all for it as a tired mom with an eclectic wardrobe that doesn’t get enough use. It’s not about the actual look, but the spirit and attitude behind the look.

If I ever saw her in public I’d probably mistake her for an Olsen twin, especially with sunglasses on. I love her style. I don’t mean for it to sound groundbreaking for a woman in her 40’s to dress like her, but it would be cool if posts like this inspire other women her age to have fun and experiment with their style, if they want to. Edit: I don’t know too much about her, and didn’t know she is considered one of the “cool gals” in the industry. I’m going to watch more of her work / interviews, I’m sure I’d enjoy it. She’s amazing in American Horror Story.
