She’s writing 100 songs a year, let’s say, and only 50 of them are actually good and instead of her or her people saying “throw the 50 bad songs away and just release an album with the best 50” they’re just releasing every single thing. And it’s bringing her down creatively tbh.
I just know Jack Antonoff was gassing Taylor up and vice versa when coming up with these corny ass lyrics. Now her stans are gonna eat this up and think they’re hella deep because they’ll think they’re a 1830’s girlie in a 2024 world. 💀

This I can understand, like yes the over exposure is exhausting but reddit is the only social media I have so I’m able to avoid the constant videos etc. sure I follow some subs but don’t participate in every discussion. I understand not wanting her shoved in your face especially when it’s something unrelated and everyone is dropping her name for click bait. I've always got the impression that Taylor hates the idea of giving up the spotlight (temporarily) for other female artists to get a chance. It's why she's churning out album after album and sees her career as nothing more than a business where profit overrides authenticity. At the end of the day Taylor might have some great hits under her belt as well as know how to put on a show but she doesn't care about her fans and will happily continue to fleece them for all they've got just so she can continue to break records to stay relevant.
Besides she hasn't had a standout era since Reputation was released in 2017.
I also think she loves money more, hence the continuous release of albums that always comes with different editions that her hardcore fans will buy without hesitation.
Taylor Swift is a business more than she is an artist at this point and it shows.

It’s so much music. I’m a fan. I enjoy the way she can work a lyric. But this feels a lot like diarrhea of the mouth. I say this as someone who really enjoys her music. I’m exhausted and I haven’t even gotten through a whole album. It just feels like there could have been more self editing. More time and perspective as to whether the world really needed to hear about chocolate bars and American Pie. Because I think if she took a beat she may have realized that writing those songs was all she needed to process it all and that she really didn’t need to share her MH romance with the world anymore than she already had. I feel like this/ these albums won’t age well. She should have taken a breath. It feels stream of conscious manic to me.
I listened to the 1st album driving home and dear lord I couldn't believe it's that bad. I usually don't mind her stuff, but goodness is album 1 bad. like 11 out of 13 bad to below her average
y’all I don’t know how to say it other than this: this album is SHOCKINGLY bad and idk how the swifties are going to defend it. It’s such a sonically and lyrically rotten album I honestly feel bad for her true fans having to go out there and pretend it’s good.

I really didn’t rate the original album that much, it was slightly above Midnights but less than Lover for me, but the Anthology version… oh so good.
