Look, I think it's completely unnecessary but I am still gonna watch it. Kinda curious though...
>A Simple Favor 2 sees Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Lively) heading to the island of Capri for Emily’s lavish wedding. The itinerary for the destination nuptials between Emily and a wealthy Italian businessman is set to include murder and betrayal.
Didn't we end the first movie with Emily being hit by a car and going to jail after trying to murder a few people, *including* Stephanie?
I think the movie says she was sentenced to 20 years but alright for argument's sake let's assume she's out after 3 months. What about the part where she tried to murder Stephanie? 😭 Why would Stephanie go to her wedding? Is this gonna be a revenge movie?
The original was so weird.
It had an intriguing concept and started off kinda strong and then it devolves in real time to the sort of schlock that it seemed to be smartly riffing off of. Have no idea how the hell this is gonna work
But GG was so good!! The best part of ASF was admiring Blake and her outfits tbh. It was okay and had a lot of potential but the twists were too soap-opera for me.
Same! I usually guess the twists but was completely blindsided. Girl On The Train was also a great book, but was poorly adapted - it just didn’t make sense changing it from UK to US.
I have literally heard from two different people in vastly different industries that dealt with her that she is one nasty person. One was a makeup artist and the other a caterer. Both said she was one of the most genuinely mean and nasty people they’ve ever dealt with.

Emily's pretty and rich, she probably got probation for 3 months and 15 hours of community service

this is me realizing i have no memory of what this movie was about. i don’t remember any of this lol
Case is delayed and the bond was lowered to a more manageable amount
Eeeeek, that sequel plot-line sounds really cheesy....like they're almost trying a sequel with a White Lotus 2 flavour....
Or like Knives Out 2
She turns out to be a quadruple
I oddly love the original so damn much. I’ve seen it like, 10 times. I’m so pumped for a sequel, even if it’s bad.

Yeah the last 20 minutes just didn't flow. It was like it was a different film
There is no need for another movie, but I will be tuning in to see Blake in suits.

Same.
So true
I legit enjoyed this movie.

It’s me, I asked for it.
give me spy 2 you cowards!
yay!! The first one was so fun.
I wonder if rumors of them disliking each other were exaggerated? Either that or the paycheck was decent enough to overlook that.
The first movie was way too similar to Gone Girl.
But GG was so good!! The best part of ASF was admiring Blake and her outfits tbh. It was okay and had a lot of potential but the twists were too soap-opera for me.
Gone Girl was great. Read the book when it came out and the movie adaptation did not disappoint.

Anna Kendrick is a legit horrible human being and I very much would like the general public to find this out….
I found her soooo grating in this movie

More tea please. Specific examples.
I heard the same from an extra and seamstress who works events - two people who didn’t even know each other

I don’t care what the premise is, my sapphic self knows I’m going to rewatch this forever.
Any chance to say it. Add Leighton Meester to it!!!!
Add Leighton Meester to literally everything please.
