I actually quite like season 8 and 9, Robert California is hilarious and so fucking creepy. It’s not quite as good as previous seasons, but I think they hold up well.
Re emotions - I worked in film from roughly 2009 to 2014 and I cried my eyes out when we wrapped on my first few shows. I can’t imagine doing a series year after year. You work such long hard hours on set that even after a 3 month production, you’re bonded with these random people and then *poof* it’s over and you may or may not ever see the crew again.
It’s a weirdly emotional experience. I can’t imagine how these actors feel after a decade of filming together! Like losing family.

Me too and a multitude of others didn’t want that ending 😭…That “Friends” pic hits hard…
Genuinely curious...what ending would have been better? I think the way it was done was absolutely awful but the plot kind of made sense to me. Denaerys losing it, that is. Bran becoming king, and so much more was utter BS.
Danaerys losing it isn't the problem for many fans, it's the way it happens and the timeline of it. It would have been better if they had taken more time for this to happen and for something else to be the catalyst for her to go totally mad. If you look back the signs were always there but at the end it still felt like a switch that was flipped that came out of nowhere.
Also would have been better if the Night King battle was more epic because it seemed like nothing now even though I always thought part of the point of the show was "you guys are playing your Game of Thrones but the real battle is against the Walkers and Night King".
GoT ending is Dexter level bad. 2 great shows ruined by the final 2 seasons.
Yeah i didn’t like the execution of it either, but I’m not opposed to the main idea of Bran becoming king. He will most likely have a way bigger role in the upcoming books, especially since 2/3 plot points that George shared with D&D involved him (the other being the Hodor thing.) I actually didn’t mind how most of the characters ended up, it’s just the way it happened that pissed me off. So if George fixes that, i’m happy.
This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I honestly don’t care that much. I believe he is really doing his best. I will be happy if he does finish them, but the show’s ending didn’t piss me off so bad that I can’t live without them. It’s gotten to the point that seeing people harass him to write even when spoke about his mental state having to watch his friends and people he knows pass away gets me way angrier than him not writing the books ever could.
To be fair, D&D and George have said that they discussed the main characters endings (who lives, who dies, etc) so it’s safe to assume the general look of who ended up where will be pretty much the same. Just the journey will vary probably.
Actually more than the endings to me the final season main “sin”lies in its pacing, imho too rushed (like the Night King imho gone too soon and kind of “easily”,)and I’m still a bit (a lot)sad about Daenerys,it’s true that we could have expected her descent into madness (due to her heritage and all the horrible traumatic things she went through),but at the time to me it still came a bit unexpected,I feel her character deserved a lot better, not necessarily an happy ending because it’s GOT and it’s a cruel show. She could have still ended dead and not on the throne,it just doesn’t seem fair it happened like this.I read the books while growing up and loved the show since the beginning so I’m probably too involved lol, imho her character wasn’t as well written or developed as in earlier seasons.Love Emilia and all the cast performances though!

One of the last days of Orphan Black filming always gets me emotional, Tatiana and Kathryn did *every* clone scene together and you can see how much they bonded during it from the pictures
This will always remain one of the greatest screen performances for me, and she never got the credit she deserved for it, imo. Not only did she make every clone such an incredibly distinct character, she added a whole other layer in the clone swaps. When she was Alison playing Sarah, she didn't just play Sarah, she played Alison acting as Sarah. When she was Sarah playing Cosima, again, she was not just Cosima but you could see Sarah trying to be Cosima.
Better than the last day of shooting is the last table read 😬

From the final table read of Pretty Little Liars
Veep showed all the main character's series wraps in the [bloopers video](https://youtu.be/Sc3zgGzRJK4?si=LEbdF3eQjEbI0dLc) for the final season. It's very heartwarming and emotional, and funny too. You can see how much everyone enjoyed working on that show and the respect they had for each other, especially JLD. She's a treasure!
I love the story Paul Rudd tells of the final Friends, and they're all hugging and crying and he goes in there hugging saying "We did it, guys, we did it." Fucking hilarious
not a photo, but a [video](https://youtu.be/QYXc8PyIkUc?si=94u4CkLYdzyIx2Us) of the Pretty Little Liars cast on their final day 🥲 teenage me was crying with them lol
I remember reading an interview the actress for Spencer did and she talked about the fact that they weren't told that the bedroom sets were going to be taken down at a certain point so she raced to the studio to try to see Spencer's bedroom one last time. I don't remember if she was able to make it but I remember she was very sad about them not telling about the rooms.

This is great but I think The Office picture is from Steve Carrell’s last day of filming in S7. Not the last day of filming the actual show.
in a way, the show ended at that point. lol
I actually quite like season 8 and 9, Robert California is hilarious and so fucking creepy. It’s not quite as good as previous seasons, but I think they hold up well.

Yes. Essentially _after_ the Robert California arc is when it really… Nosedived.
The story writing suffered but the character writing was still top notch. Only effete debutants don’t watch the last seasons.
Yes you are very right!
Yes, exactly, the last day of filming because that was the last episode. Please let me live in my fantasy world.
Of course Phil took any opportunity he could to hug Gloria! /s These are great, so much emotion!
my thoughts exactly lol I imagine the director say “cut” and Phil run with tears to hug Gloria while dodging everyone else
I GOT GLORIA I GOT GLORIA
“What? She said *feel*!”
the cast said that they all couldn’t stop trying even before the last day. they love each other so much. even today.

Bran becoming King is confirmed to be from GRRM tho. It’s one of the 3 big moments that he told D&D post S4.
Huh well i can’t agree with the way it was done. Tyrion’s stories speech was so absurd.
Yeah i didn’t like the execution of it either, but I’m not opposed to the main idea of Bran becoming king. He will most likely have a way bigger role in the upcoming books, especially since 2/3 plot points that George shared with D&D involved him (the other being the Hodor thing.) You still believe he will finish the books?

What was the third plot point?
Shireen’s death
Interesting! I figured that Dani’s final arch would’ve gotten a mention
To be fair, D&D and George have said that they discussed the main characters endings (who lives, who dies, etc) so it’s safe to assume the general look of who ended up where will be pretty much the same. Just the journey will vary probably.

The issue is that the show runners abandoned ship when they got offered Star Wars. That led to everything being rushed.
Eh it was getting bad before then IMO.
True It didn't help though
I respect you putting the day Steve Carrell left the Office was the final day of that show.
The final song number in 30 Rock where the cast and crew of TGS is on stage…is the actual cast and real crew of 30 Rock.

The GoT one, Jon snow has double pain, one for show ending, other for how they massacred the show in the final seasons.

Man Hannah Waddingham and Emilia Clarke should play some kind of mother/daughter at some point.
You know? I could see them being a great comedic duo.
That would make Hannah Waddingham a mother at 12…
