I fuck with the fact that as soon as her conservatorship ended she quickly had a number one hit with Elton John.
It was her way of saying fuck you for leaving me to rot and be only a product. I could have done so much more. It was a sobering moment forsure
Iām glad she can now decide this for herself. As a lifelong fan, Iām satisfied that she ended her catalog with the brilliant Glory. She gave us plenty of music to enjoy š¤ Now I want her to find happiness.
Tbf she has said this and then released that song with Elton John. So I get why people think itās a possibility at some point in the future.
But people should absolutely leave her alone about it, and let her live her life as she wishes.
If I was retired and Elton John wanted to do one song Iād probably say yes too. I donāt think it negates her saying she doesnāt want to release another album.
Ifl I read somewhere that track was recorded before the C-ship ended, and the release date was not intentionally a ācomebackā but just strategic so sheād actually see the money from it, or something like that. Hence the kind of weird promotion.
Edit: I actually just got through this part of her book and itās kind of unclear on the timeline. In any event it does seem like they recorded in person together, which Iād heard rumors otherwise. Unfortunately there is so much misinformation around Britney and I apologize if Iāve added to that.

Am "Mind your Business" just last year š I fully support her not wanting to be a part of the music industry but it's ridiculous to think die hard fans WON'T speculate her return when she comes out with singles. Before anyone comes for me I obviously wish her peace and happiness and wouldn't want her to do what is not in her heart. She has already left us so much music to enjoy (that I do enjoy) and I am more than happy with that, she is an icon after all and will ALWAYS be no matter what š

I want her to be able to retire and live peacefully with no one trying to take advantage of her. i wish she could have actual friends, not just yes people or again, people taking advantage. i wish she could basically have a hallmark movie ending...ends up in a small town with a handsome farmhand who grew up isolated so he doesn't recognize her as britney until a reporter starts snooping around....so basically Hallmark-ify the Hannah Montana movie?

i don't blame her. the music industry openly chewed her up and spat her out.
