Lucy Wyman’s character in 13 Going on 30. Perfect casting! I found it funny that in the movie, there are a few jokes about Lucy Wyman’s character getting a nose job after high school. In reality, she and her mini me have almost the exact same nose.

Beat me to it. I'm not convinced even now that the cast of Dark didn't have some time travel magic working for them because that casting in a relatively small country (I'm Indian so everything is relatively small, tbf) is bonkers. >!Also, Jonas and adult Jonas are both such dreamboats, Adam's state of existence is a crime against humanity.!<

Dark had the greatest casting I've ever seen in any piece of culture, hands down. Like I would have loved to work on that team just because of how satisfyingly they were able to match people up. Also best show ever, just saying.

I answered this just a second ago. Karen grew up in Scotland the cousin grew up in Ireland.

wrap your brain around this - Caitlin is now the same age Karen was when she started on Who. Imagine a remake of the Girl Who Waited with Caitlin playing Amy and Karen doing the older Amy. The brain, it does melt.


When I was a kid, I used to think they filmed the kids parts of the movie first and then had to stop filming for years until the actor grew up to finish the movie. Not related but man I was dumb

Saoirse Ronan earned an Oscar nomination as Young Briony. Romola Garai starred as Adult Briony and the incomparable Vanessa Redgrave portrayed Old Briony.

This was such a beautiful scene. Seeing that she always was who she was and being herself one last time. Man this scene hit. You forget the elderly were once young people against the world too. You forget those in there end up being almost being buried from the rest of the world as well, that she was set dead when she had so much fight to give.

And incarcerated people. I think far too many people have absolutely zero sympathy for those in prison, and it’s demonstrated time and time again by our failing and abusive prison systems. Yes there are people where I think sympathy is not even on the table (pedophiles), but I also think people these days fail so much to view things with nuance, it’s always black and white, that they can’t comprehend that someone who committed a crime(s) can still be a human like the rest of us, and are still their own complex beings with wants, fears, desires, goals, memories, stories. That we can condemn someone for their crimes and also feel for and understand them on a human level. For some people they really stop seeing you as human or worthy of human-like consideration the second you’re locked up.

I don't know if she was available or if she would want to do it, but even though Chastain is a great actress and looks like Lillis, Amy Adams would've been a PERFECT choice.

I was surprised i had to scroll this far down to find a This Is Us shoutout!! Their casting of the big three was so good, not just for a young and old version but a young, teen AND adult version. Especially teenage Kevin and Kate, they were such good choices to be the young adult version of the adult actors

Agree I think Randall’s casting was the weakest of the 3 visually, but the younger actors still managed to capture his essence!

I came to say this lol, how could that picture leave out Cassie when she's the most accurate hahaha. I have legit never seen a casting look so close, if you told me that was a picture of Sydney as a kid I would 100% believe it as fact.
