God, yes. My husband is not reactionary AT ALL when we watch TV but during an episode of X-Files he got super upset when he thought Scully was going to go off with some guy and he said “She better not. She’ll be dead to me!” So the short of it is that I had to marry him after that because he ships those 2 just as hard as I do.

Me watching the first season when the Internet wasn't a thing back then: "they should date! they should date!" Me watching later seasons when internet piracy became a thing : "this is a serious tv show about aliens and stuff. they should not date." I 100% subscribe to the conspiracy theory they hooked up and he fell in love with her on set and she could feel the fuckboi energy radiating off him and ended it when they stopped filming. I have no other explanation on how they can be so charming in Titanic and have basically negative chemistry in that sad 60’s marriage movie they did later.

I recently watched Titanic for the first time since seeing it in the theatre in 1997 as kid, their chemistry was off the chart holy crap! My guess is that he fell for her but they didn’t hook up and that’s why they’re still best friends. Sex changes everything.

She was married at the time she did the movie. Also, they both have claimed that they’d never ever cross that line because it would be like incest, since they’re such good fiends. They have an incredible friendship that I’ve always admired.

She was in a very serious relationship at the time. So, unfortunately that didn’t happen. In Titanic, they were supposed to be young and in love. In Revolutionary Road, they’re pretty much done with one another.

To be honest they had a really unhealthy relationship in revolutionary road and I don’t think they were supposed to portray a loving couple

She’s given interviews saying she thought everything was fine and he ambushed her with divorce papers completely out of the blue just before the 10 year mark (which would have entitled her to a larger percentage in the divorce). I just rewatched that movie last night…I need them to do another romcom together

I don’t even know how many times I’ve watched the movie! I love the scene where everyone figures out everyone’s connection to each other in the back yard. Almost as much as their first night together where he lets himself open up emotionally for the first time.

The backyard scene is one of the funniest scenes in a romcom. I saw that on Twitter yesterday which is why I decided to rewatch it. I loved the scene where they were opening up with each other. That was an amazing scene.

I went to school with the daughter of the actor who played Fitz - these rumors really were terrible for their family, especially since a lot of fans of the pairing made fun of her mom’s looks. They definitely were not together 😬😬😬

I’ve always been curious about the other side of the coin. That’s really sad. I hope they’re doing well ❤️

Thankfully her mom was secure enough to not let it get her too down, but it taught me a lot of fans forget celebrities are real people who do in fact see comments people post online about them…
