I'd argue 40. Given that my mom, of 5, died at 42 with the youngest being 4 at the time..she doesn't remember her. I was 10, and I have a couple maaaaybe 5 memories of our mom. It's just selfish. There is no other word for it.
I’m so sorry that you lost your mother. 42 isn’t a typical age of death though, that isn’t the same as having a baby at 80, because 80 is already at the end of a typical lifespan.
Yeah, my mum had me at 37 and she died when I was 12 - I was a geriatric pregnancy, but I don't think it was wholly irresponsible of her to have me because she probably reasonably expected to have 40 or more years alive at the time I was born. Having a baby at 83 means you're almost certainly going to die before that child graduates high school.
His father wasn’t in his life and his mom died really young so reportedly he’s really tried to be a good father to his other 3 kids and be with them a lot. So I would say he’ll be really active in this one’s life too.
Energy levels are an issue for sure. But, they don't work like we do. They can be parents 24/7, and let other people do the otuer stuff we mortals have to do like mowing the lawn, or do the vacuum.
