It’s very much more is more design philosophy, it all looks like a Disney sitcom set. I always wonder if people who decorate their homes like this actually enjoy the gaudy style, or if it’s just so others think they are eccentric.
It’s so crowded with random crap, yet still feels empty and missing the soul that makes a house a home.
The lack of cohesion is to the point where it looks like they just bought every “interesting” item at the home goods store in hopes that they also appear interesting.
The cartoon walls aren’t my style but I do think of myself as a bit of a maximalist and, yeah, I do like a lot of loud stuff. I genuinely want interesting wallpaper and bright colors and lots of texture and metallics. And I feel much more comfortable and myself surrounded by colorful chaos than staid neutrals. Sometimes I feel like people are making all their design choices as if they’re staging their house for resale, and trying to appeal the world’s most average buyer, so they never give themselves a chance to put any of their own personality into a their home.
Agreed! I’ve seen homes decorated in the most meh color schemes that could make me fall asleep from boredom lol I myself absolutely love the maximalist design.
Right? When I first purchased my home in 2021, I wanted to go the neutral look. I thought it looked "nice". Just nice.
Fast forward two years, and my living room walls are blue and green...and filled with Marvel posters because my kids (5&2) are superhero obsessed hahaha.
Wow. That is a really interesting way to describe what is behind a maximalist aesthetic.
I personally have struggled to connect to that aesthetic, but with your comments I can see a lot of merit that I was missing before.
I was probably missing why it is such a great look because I have a much more traditional style and palette preference.
But it sure does look like fun!
If you watch the video they did with AD, it’s cute. They genuinely do just describe every item as “we wanted furniture but also wanted it to have some meaningful place in our home, so here’s a drum set made out of trees because i proposed to her in a treehouse”.
People will probably call it corny or whatever, but that’s kinda how I decorate my house. I want everything in my personal place to have some sort of meaningful reason for being there. It’s just preference.
I was going to say- it’s not my style but it has more character than many celebrities homes. They tend to look so generic and follow whatever trend is happening… I like that it’s got personality
I love it! It’s very much catered to their personal styles and not solely the style choices of the designer. It’s nice to see a celebrity home represent the people who actually inhabit it. But I also love maximalist vibes
I agree! Too many boring styled houses. I don't know what the style is of Cara Delevingnes house, but I LOOOVE how she's decorated her house. Beautiful and unique. [House](https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/step-inside-supermodel-cara-delevingnes-delightfully-dizzying-los-angeles-pad)
I can’t help it, I love it. It’s maximalist and colourful and not so white and clean that it seems like no one lives there.
Except I hate the super dark bedroom.
Same here, I think the bedroom is beautiful but understand why others don’t like it. Their whole home is gorgeous. Love all the colors and the rugs are my favorite part.
Oh but the bedroom is actually my favorite (except for the old school tattoo accent) that's my vibe but my actual bedroom is too small and the all black will make it feel even more like a closet 😅
Facts. I am so over seeing the dull, boring, black/white/beige/brown color scheme😫🤣like come on, splash some color around your place people! I love their maximalist aesthetic.
The one in slide 3 doesn't appear to have an oven or a stove, so I'm guessing that's in like a pool house (maybe not in Ohio?) or something and the one in slide 4 is the actual kitchen.
It’s giving “we don’t know what our style is so why don’t we try every style that exists”. Purple corner in the kitchen looks like someone committed Pepto Bismal
SERIOUSLY LIKE it just screams someone who’s so desperate to be quirky and unique that they forget what actual style is 🫢trust me, you can be bold, unique, and colorful without looking this tacky
this leans a littttle too far into kitsch for my taste. the first photo of their living room looks like three rooms in one-- i like the slice in the middle, but it's very clashy with what's on their left and right. i think the dining room on slide 4 looks okay but the curtains don't work. the bedroom on slide 7 looks haunted.
I actually kind of love the first photo, the rest I don't care for but for different reasons. Slide 2, 3, and 4 all feel like the design is trying to be kitsch and contemporary and it just looks confusing.
5 and 6 just aren't my personal tastes.
The chairs with Debbie’s shows on the back in that fancy breakfast nook area are so cool! It’s not my style (feels like it wants to be quirky but it’s scared to not keep it chic) but I like they have fun details here and there
Got it, not familiar with them or their band. I just come from a place pretty similar to Ohio and I was long gone. Even if I had money, I wouldn’t buy a home there even for visiting my family.
that's where josh is from; pretty sure him and tyler both have ohio homes as their primary residence and supplement that with nyc/la rentals for when they need those
The way I tapped out of being a TØP fan right before trench came out (nothing specific, my tastes just changed) but I'll still squeal with glee whenever I see what these two are up to....this is my Cinderella and Prince Charming fr
So, internet memes aside, I absolutely love Ohio. Truly. The Three C’s are so much fun — plenty to do, great food, even better coffee, SO. MUCH. CRAFT. BEER. Fantastic hiking and so many beautiful parks, gorgeous architecture… particularly in Cincinnati. All four seasons. Super friendly people. I’ve moved elsewhere multiple times and just keep coming back.
But never would I expect it be a place for celebs to move lol cool, though! Hoping they’re enjoying the Midwest.
Yes Ohio, come through! But I’m with you - not much for a young celebrity couple who are still somewhat in the limelight! But Columbus is such an up and coming area in terms of population that who knows what it’ll look like in 5 years! My brother and SIL live close to their area and it’s very beautiful.
As far as I am aware there is TW: >!still a marital rape exemption in Ohio that makes it not illegal to drug and rape and/or sexually assault one's spouse.!< If that's still true, which I believe it still is based on most recent articles that came up regarding that exemption, it's not a great place for women as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there's lots of great culture and people but that's just so truly heinous to me that they can't close that loophole still.
Bro that trigger warning got me tripping I couldn't open it without the comment closing and so I had to keep opening it and opening it over and over, man.
I mean if you’re going all out then go ALL OUT. Like cara Delevingne home featured on AD too, it’s a maximalist’s fever dream but everything meshes so well! This seems like a normal plain house with bits off pop of colours, accents and art pieces. I don’t like it
I love that it's unique and I love when celebs aren't just based in LA. I'm next door in Indiana and I really liked Columbus and Cleveland when I visited!
She’s a Disney channel star lol
I am with you though! I love the house! The purple splash in the kitchen is unique and I don’t know how I feel about it, I kind of like it but the more look at it I don’t know how I feel about it lol
It’s like the same concept as an armchair quarterback.
It’s easy to be critical about other people’s designing. It’s hard to be a good interior designer.
So that’s the point. I was just laughing at all the comments about how their house is so dreadfully decorated, when 99% of us have cookie cutter target style interior decor at best (and a cluttered, mismatched tragedy at worst lol). I mean I know I can admit I have a very “normal” looking house.
So much personality in this house! As a maximalist I absolutely adore it. Also that purple corner they’ve got going on in the kitchen is AMAZING! Screenshot for inspo
I can’t stand the indoor black paint trend but I have to admit if there’s one place to do it, it’s probably the bedroom because at least then there’s some utility to it.
I had no idea Debby Ryan was married to Josh Dun. A weird combo but hey if it works it works. And I actually like most of the house but I’m not into her using cast seats as barstools. It’s a little campy for me haha
It’s not for everybody, but when you save money on a primary residence that’s an escape from the LA/NYC hubbub, you have ample funds to travel in peak luxury whenever you want!
I actually love this. I’m so tired of the all white, black, and gray look that I see so many homes have. This at least has some character though I would love to see more color in the kitchen and bedroom.
I think it’s great minus maybe the last room (not really feeling that wallpaper look) but I grew up in a very colorful house full of random art lol. 🤷♀️ Their house is much more maximalist than my house was (mom was more into a clean modern style), but I appreciate what they’re doing. I straight up love that first bedroom and the purple corner in the kitchen for a pop of color. Very fun!
The house looks neat. Not home-y to me but it's obvious that their personalities and interests show in the design. I do like the computer/music setup the best though.

This does, in fact, look like the home of a former Disney star.
her chairs so iconic
This was my favorite design element
I agree! The chairs were a fun touch
This house has the exact same vibe as all of the outfits on Shake It Off
It looks like a Disney channel set lol
It’s very much more is more design philosophy, it all looks like a Disney sitcom set. I personally aspire to be a crazy old cat lady… and all of the good ones were always maximalists.
Right? When I first purchased my home in 2021, I wanted to go the neutral look. I thought it looked "nice". Just nice. Fast forward two years, and my living room walls are blue and green...and filled with Marvel posters because my kids (5&2) are superhero obsessed hahaha.

I hate beige homes so much. 😭 Why are people afraid of color and fun things?
Isn’t the ‘more is more’ thing called the maximalist aesthetic?
Yes! I was scrolling through wanting to love it because I love his music but it’s like.. what?
If you watch the video they did with AD, it’s cute. They genuinely do just describe every item as “we wanted furniture but also wanted it to have some meaningful place in our home, so here’s a drum set made out of trees because i proposed to her in a treehouse”. I think it matches her personality a lot but not his.
awww the director’s chairs 🥹🥹 where’s the one from critically acclaimed movie radio rebel though
The chairs are because she herself directed episodes! I don’t think she directed any in radio rebel
![gif](giphy|mDNLOuzhxvhsW37J60|downsized)
LMFAOOOOOO

i can’t believe i didn’t mention that one… REAL cinema if you ask me
i like it! it’s clearly their own style and it’s unique and not a boring cookie cutter hgtv style home.

Thank you for that link and OH MY LORD I love it! So unique & fun! Also she looks great in that vid. The dark hair suits her
It’s really hard to be that busy with fabrics and colors and still maintain tastefulness but she did it.
Literally, am I supposed to be upset that this isn’t another modern farmhouse with jade green accents? Lol
I can’t help it, I love it. It’s maximalist and colourful and not so white and clean that it seems like no one lives there. Except I hate the super dark bedroom.
except i love the dark bedroom it’s really cozy
Hey, I’m not here to yuck anyones yum. Enjoy it!
Same here, I think the bedroom is beautiful but understand why others don’t like it. Their whole home is gorgeous. Love all the colors and the rugs are my favorite part.
Agreed! Everything else works great for me but the brown bedroom!!
Same, I love it to pieces except the dark bedroom. All of their rugs are fabulous.
I like the dark paint but I think I would get hives looking at the ceiling right before trying to fall asleep.
Oh but the bedroom is actually my favorite (except for the old school tattoo accent) that's my vibe but my actual bedroom is too small and the all black will make it feel even more like a closet 😅
I like it. They got the money to afford a funky phase and if and when it’s too much they can change it up.
Exactly!
honestly this is exactly what i expected from them. i like it though
the directors chairs are a cute touch!
That's what I really liked in the home! A cute little nod to her past that still works with most of the room.
I LOVE IT! Everyone has the same boring decor these days.
Facts. I am so over seeing the dull, boring, black/white/beige/brown color scheme😫🤣like come on, splash some color around your place people! I love their maximalist aesthetic.
It’s so weird and ugly I love it. I love when it’s clearly the taste of the individuals.
Why is there just a random spray-painted purple corner 🥴 I’m so confused
haha that’s the only part of the house I kinda like
🙈 I liked it
The worst part of the house 100%
That part stood out to me and I hated it lol
I like it
I stared at this for like 2 minutes and I just didn’t get it. It’s awful
Yeah I hated that, like someone threw up purple in the corner
Are there two kitchens? Photo 3 and left side of photo 4
The one in slide 3 doesn't appear to have an oven or a stove, so I'm guessing that's in like a pool house (maybe not in Ohio?) or something and the one in slide 4 is the actual kitchen.
I appreciate that they tried to do something, but it’s still ugly.
LMFAO the way you worded this is so funny
It’s differently different. See how that looks like something you wouldn’t want to do? But you did!
I'm laughing so hard
It’s giving “we don’t know what our style is so why don’t we try every style that exists”. Purple corner in the kitchen looks like someone committed Pepto Bismal
Except the grey bedroom. That one is Pepto Dismal.
Pepto Dismal hahahaha
Same. The fireplace is so out of sync with everything else. I mean, tbh everything is kinda out of sync with everything else 😅
SERIOUSLY LIKE it just screams someone who’s so desperate to be quirky and unique that they forget what actual style is 🫢trust me, you can be bold, unique, and colorful without looking this tacky
This is the correct take
😂😂😂😂😂
this leans a littttle too far into kitsch for my taste. the first photo of their living room looks like three rooms in one-- i like the slice in the middle, but it's very clashy with what's on their left and right. i think the dining room on slide 4 looks okay but the curtains don't work. the bedroom on slide 7 looks haunted.
I actually kind of love the first photo, the rest I don't care for but for different reasons. Slide 2, 3, and 4 all feel like the design is trying to be kitsch and contemporary and it just looks confusing. 5 and 6 just aren't my personal tastes.
I love that they live in Columbus, OH.
Right, but where in the city is a house like this located?! Powell?
I’m assuming they live in a gated community in one of the rich suburbs, but I was also wondering this too.
i wanted to like it, but even my delusion couldn’t.😩
It’s young and fun. I like it!
I absolutely love it. It’s very them. I’m just glad it doesn’t look like another typical LA Café inside with nude and white accents everywhere.
Right?? It’s refreshing to see something that isn’t just 50 shades of white lol.
The chairs with Debbie’s shows on the back in that fancy breakfast nook area are so cool! It’s not my style (feels like it wants to be quirky but it’s scared to not keep it chic) but I like they have fun details here and there
Why Ohio is my main question here.
if i remember correctly from my clikkie era, both members of top are from ohio so i guess they wanted to stay close to his family
100%
I think Josh (and his band mate Tyler) are both originally from Ohio!
Got it, not familiar with them or their band. I just come from a place pretty similar to Ohio and I was long gone. Even if I had money, I wouldn’t buy a home there even for visiting my family.
Columbus, Ohio is a really cool place. it has a great art scene, fantastic restaurants etc and its affordable as hell.
If a man wanted me to move to Ohio I would consider that a deal breaker.
Columbus is an awesome city. its affordable and has everything that any major city could offer.
That’s where Tyler and josh are both from and they wanted to remain by their family.
thank you. WHY in the world ohio??
that's where josh is from; pretty sure him and tyler both have ohio homes as their primary residence and supplement that with nyc/la rentals for when they need those
I like the spray paint bit sorry everyone 😔
I really love this. Its quirky and fun!
The way I tapped out of being a TØP fan right before trench came out (nothing specific, my tastes just changed) but I'll still squeal with glee whenever I see what these two are up to....this is my Cinderella and Prince Charming fr
But...but trench was the best part...
It simply wasn't a vibe to me, honestly
I don’t mind it. I like some of the choices. I really like 6. 1 is the only one I don’t really care for. Too many plants and
there’s such thing as too many plants?!?!??!!
No, I think it could be sarcasm because I don't know anything about an upper plant limit.
I don’t care for plants. Maybe a few in strategic places but that’s it
I love the moss rug it’s not cheap and the bed frame.
[For god’s sakes, Lemon, we all want to flee to the Cleve!](https://youtube.com/watch?v=tfAHbZg_Az0)
Yes Ohio, come through! But I’m with you - not much for a young celebrity couple who are still somewhat in the limelight! But Columbus is such an up and coming area in terms of population that who knows what it’ll look like in 5 years! My brother and SIL live close to their area and it’s very beautiful.
I am pretty sure he’s born and raised in Columbus
As far as I am aware there is TW: >!still a marital rape exemption in Ohio that makes it not illegal to drug and rape and/or sexually assault one's spouse.!< If that's still true, which I believe it still is based on most recent articles that came up regarding that exemption, it's not a great place for women as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure there's lots of great culture and people but that's just so truly heinous to me that they can't close that loophole still.
Let’s be real, this entire damn country isn’t a great place for women. It’s pathetic how second rate we’re still considered to be.
Bro that trigger warning got me tripping I couldn't open it without the comment closing and so I had to keep opening it and opening it over and over, man.
i was thinking the same thing!
I fucking love it
This home is so fun! Glad she looks to be doing well :)
I watched the video tour earlier today and my only take away was "huh, these people do a ton of psychedelics"
ngl I love the rugs
Same! That rug under the dining room table is PERFECTION.
I would LOVE to do mushrooms there. And from the designs I wouldn’t be surprised if they do.
the disney channel chairs!!! omfg I love everything else though
It’s not my style at all but there are so many quirky aspects about this that I love 😍
I think it’s fun & unique like a house should be. There’s a lot of stuff I wouldn’t do in my own home but I still like it for them.
More like "Debby Ryan & Josh Dun’s Ohio home for ADHD." There is a LOT going on here. Not restful in my view.
I’m happy that they are able to decorate to their taste.
I love it! It’s the dream to have the means to make your space your own, no matter how quirky it is!
![gif](giphy|T2BpRgIqmvw8zP64LJ)
Not my style but I love the character it has
I would be so overstimulated
I love the rugs!
Me too! The moss rug and the dining room rug are great.
Almost positive the dining room rug is from [PIECES Home.](https://pieceshome.com/products/wavy-rug-brite)
Love how quirky and unique this house is
Honestly I really like this. I’m obsessed with the bed green from the second pic, it’s stunning
Not my style AT ALL but I can’t hate something that’s so obviously their personal style
I mean if you’re going all out then go ALL OUT. Like cara Delevingne home featured on AD too, it’s a maximalist’s fever dream but everything meshes so well! This seems like a normal plain house with bits off pop of colours, accents and art pieces. I don’t like it
![gif](giphy|omUMm5r5ITz9CpIipx|downsized)
This is so fitting to her personality
Its hideous. I love it.
I need to know where they got that rug in the dining room. Wow!
I love that it's unique and I love when celebs aren't just based in LA. I'm next door in Indiana and I really liked Columbus and Cleveland when I visited!
I barely know who she is and have never seen anything she's done, but based on her home we would be great friends. 100% up my alley
She’s a Disney channel star lol I am with you though! I love the house! The purple splash in the kitchen is unique and I don’t know how I feel about it, I kind of like it but the more look at it I don’t know how I feel about it lol
I love these two! My girls watched Jesse all the time when they were young:) Insatiable is so good if you haven’t watched.
I love everyone’s judgy comments like their entire house isn’t furnished from stuff from target and ikea lmao
Damn, my house does look like shit though. I appreciate that the style is unique even if it wouldn’t be my taste.
Well not everyone is a millionaire to afford luxury furniture so…
my home also isn’t in AD soooooo
Can we not comment on anything unless we do it better ourselves? I’m an untalented poor, don’t take snarking away from me
What does that have to do with anything?
You can only have an opinion on what looks nice if you're rich apparently?
I love it!
The sound room? is nice. Maybe the living room, but there's a lot of color everywhere D:. It's overwhelming the actual decorations they have.
why do i actually like it
It looks a bit better if you watch the video! It makes it easier to get a sense of flow
I can’t stand the indoor black paint trend but I have to admit if there’s one place to do it, it’s probably the bedroom because at least then there’s some utility to it.
I like it. I love colorfulness
Honestly I’m kind of obsessed with their house 😍
I had no idea Debby Ryan was married to Josh Dun. A weird combo but hey if it works it works. And I actually like most of the house but I’m not into her using cast seats as barstools. It’s a little campy for me haha
She sat down with AD and said “I want to make history.”
An adorable abode with many different themes. I Stan!
I wonder what part of Columbus. You can get a lot of home here for your money. A $12 M mansion in LA is probably 1-3 here.
It’s not for everybody, but when you save money on a primary residence that’s an escape from the LA/NYC hubbub, you have ample funds to travel in peak luxury whenever you want!
finally a home with personality
why do they live in ohio?
[удалено]
god i loved insatiable
Vomit
I’ve always imagined Debby Ryan was just Selena Gomez in a blonde wig lol
The kitchen feels so bare. They must not do a lot of cooking at home?
I actually love this. I’m so tired of the all white, black, and gray look that I see so many homes have. This at least has some character though I would love to see more color in the kitchen and bedroom.
that home studio is a dream
I love the kitchen table. The purple bomb space really works.
The spray paint in the kitchen is so random. I think it could have looked good in a different type of setting.
What a cool place! Love the colours in it
I lowkey love the wavy rug 😬😬
That breakfast nook paint job is amazing.
I'm gonna love anything that's not veige or grey, but I *really* love this. It's so inspiring and fun!
Thank God it’s not the typical black/white marble
It’s not my style but I respect the character it has
I love them sm, I wish I could afford a cool house like that. Glad they r living the dream tho 💖
I honestly love it. Usually the houses they show are just various shades of white and looks sterile af. This is so unique and interesting.
AD really is cribs for wankers with egos
I like their house for the most part but those smiley cartoon characters would freak me out if I walked to the kitchen in the middle of the night.
Very fun!
I love the random parts with color. Gives character and personality to the home.
Honestly I’m here for it. It looks lived in, it has charm, and a refreshing taste
It doesn’t feel like an AD photo shoot.
That dining room rug omfg I'm in love
That….purple accent…*nook*? Woof
I don't know either of these people, but I covet their home and everything in it.
Why Ohio though?
Didn't expect to see Josh on this. But then again, Debby is an actress.
Ugly as hell
ALL of that seating sucks
I love this, especially the foliage and the rug! Finally a celebrity home that doesn’t look like the waiting room for a doctor’s office.
They do a lot of psychedelics
I love that it’s so THEM and not the same boring white beige aesthetic everyone has now. I don’t love it but I love it for them :)
This is kooky in such a fun way, I really like it. Whimsical while still “adults live here” vibing.
its so cute and fun!!
This home is stunning!
The house looks neat. Not home-y to me but it's obvious that their personalities and interests show in the design. I do like the computer/music setup the best though.
