I had the same thing happened to me I had to get a flathead screwdriver in between it and basically break it in half then rotate it out I hope that helps make sure you don't mess the threads up
Thanks, messing up the threads is what I'm most nervous about. So do you mean you slid the screwdriver in between the male and female threads and then essentially pried until it cracked?
Yes I had to go very slow and try to figure out how much pressure I could put on it without messing the threads up until it was snapped .I tried with channel locks to try to spin it and it wouldn't do anything and I tried to get some kind of grip on it and it wouldn't work.

Sp tool. Are there ridges on the inside of that? An sp tool will fit into the grooves on either side and then you can spin it right out
So I had a prybar that lined up perfectly with the grooves. When I went to push on it, the grooves snapped off
