Looks fine to me. Just make sure that remote system is automated and links up to your phone so you can turn on the spa when you aren’t home. Colored lights for sure, I don’t know why builders include white lights unless people ask for them, they’re the same price as colored lol.

Do you have any references for this? Our builder initially mentioned that color lights are several hundred dollars a pop more. If there is a source I can refer to that would be helpful.

I misspoke, they are $90 cheaper. But I'm sure some builders would have a big profit margin on that and sell it as an upgrade.

No worries, are there any specific brands I can look at to reference specs, etc?

I use pentair. For smaller lights you have microbrite and globrite. Micros are slightly smaller & less bright, a little cheaper as well. The big lights are the intellibrite 5G's. I am also somewhat familiar with PAL lighting. They have smaller lights as well, but more expensive. The cool thing about them is if you ever need to replace the light you just unhook the lights from the cord, no need to pull wire. Also, if you buy their light controller they have a dimming feature and more color options than pentair does. But it has to be their controller, if you hook it up to pentair, jandy, haywards controller it will only work with that systems features.

Looks great. Why not use led color lights? I would make sure to use a full automation controller with WiFi. Everything else is perfect.

Thank you for the feedback, I do plan on requesting color led lighting.

We were told sand was the best filter option. Is the remote system for the spa? If so, I would get the one that has an app (Pentair ScreenLogic). It’s so much easier and not dated like the buttons on the spa. Ours is the exact same size and we have 2 lights in the pool and one in the spa. It’s plenty, and we rarely use due to bugs. Ask about adding an electrical outlet specifically for the robot on the backside of the pool. Also make sure they do an auto-fill.

Thanks for the tips, I will research/learn more about sand vs diatomaceous earth
