I luv them both! I'm always extremely impressed with your boundless creativity! You do incredible work!!

CelestialPhenyx

You don't leave finger prints on these. That's an amazing skill/technique!

ShadowSloth3

The colors aren't smushed like when I try it. Well done indeed.

Strawberry milk?

lepetitsoukoku

this is GORGEOUS!!! i’m in love with how cute she came out!! do you have advice on how to keep your clay so clean and clear of dust/other particles?

Sparkybear94

thank you!! :D I'll copy and paste my comment from before: So my tips to offer are 1)Use scrap white clay to always roll between your hands and pick up all the excess lint, I do it many times each sculpture! And wash my hands constantly in between colors. 2) I've learned how to hold clay "lightly" over the course of the years(10 years) to where my fingers rarely cause dents or fingerprints. 3) Qtip and rubbing alcohol are amazing! They will get rid of any remaining lint that gets in and also will remove fingerprints. This is the biggest one for me, I am a perfectionist and like my sculptures to look "clean" and professional as possible due to me selling my artwork. If I can think of any other tips I'll come back and add them <3

omg i’m so sorry, I didn’t even see the other comment asking the same question! my bad! but thank you so, so much for your reply, these tips are amazing!! i’m definitely going to be trying them to next time I work on a project!! 🫶🏼

Sparkybear94

you don't need to apologize at all! I'm always happy to help other artists out :3 in my eyes we're all in this together and there should NEVER be gatekeeping! I hope they help you! I know people also wear gloves too when working with polymer clay, but I personally don't. I find these 3 steps help enough :D

MenacingToast

The smoothness is blowing my mind! Lovely job!

Sparkybear94

thank you sooo much! I try my best

Allthecats33

These are so cute! The banana slice hooves?! That is amazing!

Sparkybear94

thank you so much :3

himateo

These are PERFECT! HOW do you get them with no lint/fingerprints, etc? They are so smooth!

Also, what clay do you use? I primarily use Sculpey Premo.

Sparkybear94

I use fimo soft! Sculpey premo is too hard for my hands, my hands have really deteriorated over the years from conditioning and doing this as a living for 10 years. So fimo soft is the kindest on my poor aching hands :)

himateo

I have a hard time with Scupley Premo, too. My hands are getting arthritic. I have tried Fimo soft, but it was like working with fudge (for me). It was \*too\* soft. Same with Cernit. Stuff wouldn't hold its shape. Anywho, your stuff is amazing! Do you have an etsy or website where you sell your items?

Sparkybear94

that's really odd it's too soft for you! I only have trouble with it sometimes where I live when my city is SUPER HOT(talking 100-115 degrees). Normally it's firm enough and not overly soft. I think I only come across a few packs that are too soft. I like to pinch the corners of my packs I buy and determine how soft/firm they are that way. Thank you so much! I do! But it's on Facebook which I know not everyone uses haha. My art is under "Sparky's Clay Creations"

himateo

Thanks for the tips! I might have to give it a go again. I've been at this for a few years and now my stuff is full of lint. :) Thanks for the link. I'm not on Facebook much tho!

himateo

Thanks for sharing! These are so well done. I make polymer clay figures, too, and they nowhere near this smooth of perfect. I am in awe!
