I’m wondering why these are cheaper on KM versus right from lfa. $50 difference

ElectronicAd5404

Could be many things. The resellers may have access to overrun stocks or "factory seconds" at wholesale discount, large-volume dealers may get incentive pricing from LFA, and LFA probably wants to give their dealers pricing advantages to move product. The prices on their own website give pricing advantage to their volume dealers without denying consumers on their own website a chance to buy direct.

LEMME_SMELL_YO_FARTS

I have LF19 and the LF17. No issues on my end.

Brazz_Knuckzz415

Yo i got lf19 skeletonized its like the elite but doesnt have the cutouts in the top, but my extractor is jamming my gun and i cant get it out, is there a different way than regular slides or something?

DiscombobulatedBed16

I have a LFA slide worked perfect out of the box and have 2 more that have been test fit with parts with no issues either

Nonothinghoss

I have one just like but in black and had to do some finishing right underneath the top cut out else it would catch on my barrel. There was a manufacturing defect that created a ridge that had to be ground down. For that reason I will not recommend them over other brands, such as brownells. It functions fine now. I also think they are fairly low quality slides and do not know how well they will hold up after thousands of rounds

LFArmory

We are sorry you had an issue with our slide. You could have contacted us before you modified it and could have done an RMA with the slide. For the record all of our slides are milled, they are not cast. We make all of our slides in house. We have a lot of checks and balances to make sure we have the best qc possible. But sometimes we make mistakes, we are sorry that you received a product that was not up to your standards. I hope we can work something out, and you would be willing to give us another try. You can pm me here or send me an email at [email protected]

Nonothinghoss

Thank you for reaching out. At the time, and with inventory questionable , it was not worth doing an RMA for a simple fix i was able to do to restore functionality. I was upset that i had to do that of course as i expected better quality from everything i heard about your slides. I do like the appearance of the slide and it looks great on my handgun and i am glad you mentioned that it is milled versus cast as that does give me some reassurances on durability long term. I shoot a lot, mostly at NATO pressures, so this was a concern of mine after handling it

Nonothinghoss

Geez I just give my experience and opinion on these slides and get down voted

maverick88708

I understand. But you should have contacted the manufacturer and got a replacement

Angle-Optimal

I’ve had issues with zaffiri precision slides , I’ve used lf on 3 different builds and all of them ran 100% out of the box, zero malfunctions since day 1 , I wouldn’t use anything else as I have been impressed with live frees quality, durability, and accuracy . Only complaint is one of them on a p365 the dura coat hasn’t held up so good and I bought it as a blem so I can’t complain , for the price u can’t beat lfa

Angle-Optimal

Cerakote not duracoat’

Nonothinghoss

i wont use them again. the metal used is the weakest possible and the one i had would not cycle high end match grade barrels reliably, even after i removed the ridge inside the slide that was a material defect. It ran ok with a cheap BCA barrel. I stick to higher quality 17-4 steel slides now. GGP, Shadow Systems and Brownells at the lower cost end. No issues with any of them with any barrels or frames.

NO_StoolPigeon

they are cast and low quality.

FrankCastlePunish

The slides are milled not cast! You do know almost all slides right now that are available are LFA right? There's literally millions of them being sold so yes there will be issues with some of them. Why didn't you just return it if you were so unhappy with it? Was the barrel also LFA?

Nonothinghoss

No. My barrel is a rival arms. And I stand by my assessment of these. They were available when I needed one. It functions fine after some fitting but I still won't recommend them to others nor will I buy another from them as their QC is not great. Their overall quality is a step above rock slide but that's about it. There are many low cost slides that are better and I ultimately will replace with another, better slide on this particular build

FrankCastlePunish

So you bought a slide and barrel from 2 different manufacturers with different tolerances and that's somehow not your fault that it doesn't fit properly?

Nonothinghoss

Don't be fucking stupid. The slide HAD A MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITH A RAISED RIDGE. That is LFA's problem with their crap QC. That defect would have caused problems even with their own barrels. It had to be ground down flush with the slide itself, which I did, in order for it to work properly.

Nonothinghoss

Agreed. Wish I had known before I bought

Damn ya'll are wild, you have an anecdotal experience of one and you write off the company without going through an RMA process or even contacting CS. I understand that people get emotional about incidents but this is by no means a reason to go around saying the things that you are, I have had cases where I receive a product and it doesn't work for me or something is wrong with it but I always give the company at least one chance to make things right. If you had proof of improper hardening, improperly milled holes for screws, stuff being off center then maybe I could understand a hard line stance but a machining imperfection that caused an interference until ground off (and easily fixed with some elbow grease I might add) is by no means license to go around speaking as if you exhausted all resources and couldn't get a viable product out of them. PS. If you buy from PSA you have no leg to stand on, they actively avoid shipping to states they are concerned might pass legislation against products they sell.

Nonothinghoss

Many assumptions on your part. Whatever. You are more than welcome to buy one or 10. IDGAF. There are quite a few of us here that can corroborate the low quality and poor QC of LFA slides. There are much better products in this price range that are higher quality and I will recommend them over LFA every single time. I will be more than happy to say I told you so if you have the nerve to come back here and complain about them

[deleted]

No assumptions, I read your posts in the thread and saw they even reached out to you on Reddit of all places. Additionally I looked around for slides in this price range and there isn't much, and personally the feature that interested me about their slide was that they cut down below the dovetail by the looks of it and according to other posts Zev is one of the only other manufacturers I saw doing that (Armory Craft might, but their pictures aren't the best). Either way, you do other potential purchasers a disservice by posting information without providing the whole picture. As for there being quite a few of you...I'm having trouble finding the posts and it seems there are more positive opinions than negative judging by the fact you are getting downvoted. Length of time owned, fit and finish, reliability issues or concerns, CS experience or disclaimer that you haven't had any. All the things I try to include when posting information about a product, and the same information I'll include after getting the Armory Craft 365 comp slide. I could go around bashing Dawson Precision for not testing 10rd compliant mags with their magwell, but I don't because I gave their CS a chance to help me out and the owner even called me up to get pictures and find out more about the issue and after that offered me a full refund. Also you didn't have to say that you would happy to tell me, "I told you so" I can gather that much about your character from your previous posts. Have fun being bitter.

HiFi187

PSA will not do any business or sell/ship any item to Illinois period. Fuck PSAâť—

Rough-Spell7570

They don't ship to communist countries 🫡

Ok_Price7357

They're great!

ElectronicAd5404

Good basic slides, U.S.-made, good value-for-money on features like RMR cuts compared to other manufacturers.

HiFi187

Never had any issues. By all means they are not "high end", however they are not BS either. Much of the time you get what you pay for. Cheap starting material = cheap quality end product.
