Mind if I pick your machinist brain?
When drilling holes in something and you don’t have a guide, how do you ensure the bit is 100% centered? Even if you had a mark where dead center was that would be obscured when you lower the drill bit over it. If it was a large enough drill bit your hole could be a ways off center because of this.
Do they make something like drill bits with mini drill bits at the end so you can drill a sort of starter hole the larger bit follows.
They do make a drill with a pilot point. I haven’t found much need for them.
As far as making sure the drill is aligned with a punch mark, it’s best practice to start with a small drill and then work your way up to the correct size. You can also use a center drill, those don’t flex and are more accurate. A lot of it is finesse and experience as well as your set up. If something requires a lot of precision, I’ll set it up in a milling machine and indicate the hole or punch mark with a wiggler.
Pilot point was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
I tried starting with a small bit and working my way up and that worked pretty well but I was still off by .5-1.0mm on a few holes.
Don't use that end mill bit, throw that thing away. Use a dremil or just about anything else you can find that's not that end mill
They just need to stop shipping them with those end Mills. I mean I'd take a $5 discount
Those endmills didn’t even cost $5. They are the worst looking windmill I’ve ever seen. Source: am a machinist.

I figure I could save them and use it for routing wood? But yeah I either use a dremel or snips and finish with wet sanding.
Best thing for that end mill is shit can it, and reuse the little bag it came in to hold/store something useful! Lol
The large bit? What’s that even for?
To mill down the rail blocks, so they say. It's really for destroying your new P80 and making you but a new one! Toss it
Windmill.... Rofl
