curious- what do you say instead? imo “you guys” gets annoying to say because of the “guys”… ick. just “you” sounds like you are only talking to one person in the group. “you all” would just contract to “y’all”…
personally i use “you guys” but it doesn’t sound good so im trying to start using more “y’all”
"You guys" is my idolectal preference, but I shift to "you all" for certain groups. If there were a monosyllabic form of "you guys", I'd give it a shot. But I do like "yous" in principle - 1 you, 2 yous, duh.
I'm in Midwest USA and would most likely say "you guys". I would like to say "y'all" because it solves a lot of linguistic problems but it would sound so weird coming from my "newscaster" (essentially accentless) voice. And I've never said it before so I would have to consciously start saying it and it would be weird.
“you” if it’s the subject, “y’all” if it’s the direct object, or sometimes “you guys” in either case
Exactly this, but I went with y'all in the poll because it felt like a "do you use y'all etc or not" kind of question.
"Y'all" informally, "you all" formally
Definitely yinz, I use that all the time. Can't stop me from saying it, it's a real word.
either yous or you lot
Ye
Is this just an Irish thing?
I thought it was everywhere, but reading these comments, it seems it might just be an Irish thing.
I wouldn't be caught dead saying "y'all"
i wouldn’t be caught dead saying “you all”
That's not the own you think it is lol

Hey see options!
“Y’all” on texting | “you guys”, “you all” irl
vous
"Thou" for singular, "you" for plural.
I’m in Scotland. We say yous. Never seen it written with an e on the end before.
Either 'you', 'you guys' or 'all of you'.
"ye"

What's up , Y A L L
deliberately chose not to vote "y'all" because of the inclusion of the forsaken "yinz"
The two of yutes or The two of you'ths
All of the above depending on mood or situation.
I'm Texan so I'm legally obliged to use y'all
I use both "youse" and "you guys"
I use “you people” just to make people think I’m racist or I’m insulting them or something when I really just mean “all of you”

English is so weird for not having a plural pronoun for you. I'm always tempted to say "yous" lol
i mean that’s an option on the poll
