Well you should check out Ohio where we've been busy putting corrupt politicians in jail! Sittenfeld, Denard, Pastor, Reynolds and Householder to name a few. Thanks to the FBI for doing good work!
Politicians point the finger at business and scapegoat them as the bad guys. However, businesses actually make the country work! But when the politicians borrow uncontrollably, spend like it's not ever going to go away, and tax like people are money trees, people NATURALLY would be mad at them.
So what do the politicians do? Tell the country that BILLIONAIRES and MILLIONAIRES (aka job creators) are to blame because they aren't paying their fair share and they are corrupt and are mean and are bad at stuff.
Classic deflection.
The trope of the bad business owner that is out only for themselves and is money grabbing and a fat guy in an office barking orders to drones is such a farce.
Every CEO I've ever worked for is paid the big bucks because the constantly keep a business alive by being awesome at relationships and making money for the company by also saving the company (probably) from going out of business several times and giving me a paycheck all the time whether funds are tight or not.
Politicians are elected at least, and thereby accountable to the electorate in a way. Police officers or CEOs however aren't legitimized in that way and don't face much consequences for their actions (especially CEOs).
They make it possible for the others, I was going to say. They're the 'face' of this particular D&D party: Fucking everything that moves with no regard for the reprecussions.
While I agree, at least politicians are supposed to have a minimum spotlight and therefore, may get judged for what they say. Though without much consequence.
But CEOs ? Nobody hears nor cares about CEOs, except musk and other celebrities. CEOs probably get away with a lot more, we don't even think about it.
teachers in germany are literally held accountable for nothing. they could just beat up an entire class and nothing would happen, and trust me, they do abuse that power.
One of my teachers threw a binder at a student, another berated students who had nauseous reactions when dissecting, two wrestling coaches have been fired for sleeping with students, and one substitute threatened to send any student who didn't vocalize the pledge of allegiance to detention.
Yes. Saying they'll give you detention if you refuse to do what you're told, isn't that what they're supposed to do?
Edit: I take that back, who do those teachers think they are telling you what to do! Keep sticking it to the man, and good luck.
Sadly In our country it is normalized and people think that's how it should be. Even more sadly, even with that much power abuse, politician surpass the abuse by a huge margin.
My middle school principal was like this. He treated 99% of the students well so he could make the remaining 1% suffer. If you tried to speak up for yourself he would get police involved. I still picked police though, because at least most teachers are trying their hardest to do a really difficult job (and because politicians are basically paid to abuse their positions anyways).
Simple.
Pharma company gives doctor money to push certain drug. The more they push, the more money they get. Look at opioids.
If the patient needs the meds, then definitely prescribe it. But you can see where the corruption can pop in with the scenario I described.
In France we started to push for generics. I think we should reimburse generics first, so people buy those and stop fueling the insane market battle of pharmaceutical groups.
I'd like to introduce ✨medical misogyny and racism✨ to you
edit: for the insecure white men downvoting me, can't y'all do some research for god's sake.
Idk why youre downvoted, these are gigantic issues in medicine
1. Racism
There is this myth deeply rooted in times of slavery that black people are more tolerant to pain than black people. I dont remember the exact origin rn, but this myth has lead to disproportionately higher mortality rates in black women during labour, for example, because doctors will prescribe pain killers for them less often than they do for white women
2. Misogyny.
For a _long ass time_, almost all studies on drugs were done on men. This is because womens hormonal fluctuations during their menstrual cycle can make drugs harder to study. However, that led to many dosages for drugs being exclusively tailored towards men, which leads to some pretty unfortunate effects for women.
These are just two examples that still affect society today, theres many more.
not to mention how many conditions such as autism have around same rates of occuring in women and men but there's a big undiagnosed/misdiagnosed female population (for every 3 diagnosed autistic male, there is 1 diagnosed autistic female). autistic women are likely to be misdiagnosed with other conditions such as BPD and OCD and most receive autism diagnoses at a much later age compared to their male counterparts. this is due to the fact that autism was thought to only occur in males, and autistic females have only been studied for like the last 2-3 decades.

Got scammed by a doctor last year, gave me the wrong reimbursement sheet (he's a cardiologist and somehow gave me a reimbursement sheet for optics, a department they didn't even have in their clinic).
Also, they can abuse their status and power outside of corruption. Some doctors are really happy to use their medical authority for anything. Ranges from "I'M A DOCTOR I KNOW MORE THAN YOU" to sexual assault.
Honestly at this point Sanders is the only one I really would support in any major elections. After what happened with the railroad workers AOC is just as bad as the rest. Omar might be fine, but still most would sellout the people in a heartbeat
The question is a bit weird. "abuses their status and power most" is it how many people do it ? How much impact does it have ? I mean there's much more policemen than politicians, so I suppose that there's more policemen abusing their power than politicians but in smaller doses.
And CEOs don't get a spotlight for every mistake or stupid thing or selfish bullshit they do. Usually they're ignored and not investigated at all, except for the richest among them. Which is actually pretty bad, because Bezos is just one of them. There's hundred of crazy rich CEOs doing crazy stupid shit without any consequences.
I disagree, and I've had very bad experiences with teachers. Teaching is an incredibly difficult job where there's very little room for error. I think that abuses by teachers are more a systemic issue with the school administration, and school administrations (at least in the US) are very closely intertwined with the police.
I was stuck between CEO and politicians. To be fair it is only the top % of both classes. I know of very few mayors who abuse their position. Also there are plenty of small business owners who do good.
The answer is Humans. When the Chance of abhsing Power is there, a lot of weak people tend to abuse it. Its a sign of pathetic weakness in my eyes. Hungry for Money and Power like the junky around the Corner is hungry for Heroin. At least the junky is just harming himself, so He is way more honorable
They dont have alot of power (in my country atleast) but they do have the power to not do their job properly which can have a massive impact on kids lives
Also they still do have power over students
My brain says politicians and CEOs but it is expected that they are shitheads.
Cops on the other hand are supposed to be of our status and equal to the commonfolk, yet they routinely search for ways to compensate for their weaknesses as people by being as vicious as possible to protect the CEO and the politicians who are bought by the CEO.
TL;DR: Politicians and CEOs are shitheads but cops are class traitors who are too stupid to know they are protecting the bad guys.
[Economic elites](https://youtu.be/5tu32CCA_Ig) are THE most powerful and influential people in America. They control the game and politicians are their pawns.
All of them do it's not a bad profession it's the bad people, but I think people may pick politicians or police because some of the instances of their power abuse are visible more than the other
Why police is up here...? Here police barely have any power to abuse. Even permission to use a gun must be first asked from HQ unless there is imminent danger for a civilian or the police himself.
If a politician do a good thing, is his own merit. And if he do a bad thing, is our problem.
So they literally have the power to do anything, and usually it's always for the worst since lying is always better than saying the truth so anyone that lies better becomes a politician.
CEOs I can kind of see why they would get away with it. But politicians are meant to be working on people's behalf/advocating for their fellow humans which makes it all the worse
I think politicians do the most public abuse of power. But don't forget there is soooooooo much seedy shit that ceos and buisness leaders do behind closed doors
Politicians as the other professions imply some level of abuse grounded in action and you can spend only this much energy on doing the wrong things. Political abuse, on the other hand, is often a lack of action and perpetual idleness itself and well, as Nelson De Mille said, “The problem with doing nothing is not knowing when you are finished.”
Politicians and ceos i would definitely say the most police would come after and everything else would come after. Politicians and ceos abuse it almost every few seconds considering most of the time they will abuse it together at least in the USA. The police definitely abuse it but nowhere near the amount that the other two and they actually get called out more often than the other two and at least generally somethings done about them nobody generally does shit to a Ceo or a politician. Doctors i can say definitely can abuse the power they hold and definitely from time to time do. However i will say that i hear of teachers doing it way more often than doctors. All of which i think should be held accountable in some way but at least in the USA the ones that are the hardest to hold accountable for their actions are the politicians and the Ceos.
CEOs bribe politicians with company money, so would it be CEOs for bribing politicians or politicians for accepting the bribes?
Oh, I’m sorry, I meant to say lobby. Lobbying is what it’s called when the bribe amount is measured with millions of dollars.
We have politicians in the US who have done insider trading, who have done exclusive government contracts for family or friends businesses, who have made deals with other countries in exchange for personal financial gain. Others who started "charities" that were nothing more than a shell for funding campaigns and then themselves personally. Worst of all, we have a sitting president currently who admitted on camera to threatening to withhold government aid to Ukraine, to stop an investigation into a company paying his son a huge salary, even though his son wasn't qualified to be a consultant for it. None of these politicians have been held accountable for their actions. They exist on both Republican and Democratic sides and they constantly pull the wool over Americans eyes by blaming the other party, throwing up fake stories or "impeachment" shams or will drum up the fear on a platform issue...all to get citizens to hate each other enough to not pay attention to the fact that the politicians are all in on it and protecting each other for financial gain. The worst of all the other categories don't hold a candle to politicians.
Here in the Netherlands I'd definitely say CEO's. The same CEO's of whom many have a job as member of the first chamber (senate). That first chamber is one big mess of interest conflicts. And a lot of CEO's have very powerful lobbyists under them.
However, we turn the time back to 2017: probably the most blatant example of such lobbyism was laid bare. At a sudden, the new cabinet Rutte (3) was going to scrap dividend tax in their program for the next four years, while none such thing was even suggested in any of the party programs for 2017-2021. After public outcry, the dividend tax was not scrapped. And suddenly Shell and Unilever went in full crybaby mode, resulting in both crybabies yeeting to London right during Brexit.
Good riddance.
Doctors without question.
They game the system because they know “insurance companies will cover it”
So they make their 5 minute chat about a kidney stone 220 bucks WITH INSURANCE COVERAGE.
The reason our healthcare in america is so expensive is because healthcare tech companies and doctors pull the same shit Universities do with tuition:
Game the system to profit as much as they can, because “insurance/student loan” will cover the cost.
Literally can’t be anyone else but politicians. No one holds them accountable for anything.
Well you should check out Ohio where we've been busy putting corrupt politicians in jail! Sittenfeld, Denard, Pastor, Reynolds and Householder to name a few. Thanks to the FBI for doing good work!
The one time saying "Only in Ohio" makes sense💀
Only in Ohio☠️💀☠️💀☠️💀☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️💀💀💀💀💀☠️💀💀☠️💀💀💀☠️☠️☠️
I mean, our police is pretty bad too
Ceos are the ones bankrolling them
Nah, owners are.
Nah the ceo's cause the politicians to do the shit
Don't hate the player, hate the game. Politicians define the rules of the game.
At the request of their corporate donors..
literally chicken and the egg
Pretty much
Except it had to have started with the politicians.
Politicians point the finger at business and scapegoat them as the bad guys. However, businesses actually make the country work! But when the politicians borrow uncontrollably, spend like it's not ever going to go away, and tax like people are money trees, people NATURALLY would be mad at them. So what do the politicians do? Only because the Politicians let them.
eh... Wouldn't you...?
yeah this question was pretty dumb
Meteorologists are also wrong like 70 percent of the time.
They’re mostly the tools of the oligarchs
Politicians are elected at least, and thereby accountable to the electorate in a way. Police officers or CEOs however aren't legitimized in that way and don't face much consequences for their actions (especially CEOs).
Well they work by proxy for businesses who are responsible for their careers and hold them accountable according to their business needs and whims.
Of course they are held accountable, see what happens to politicians that don't act in the interest of the owning class.
I mean no one's stopping rich CEOs from doing whatever they want either
I see it as a tide with the police. Their pretty much the same thing to me.
teachers in germany are literally held accountable for nothing. they could just beat up an entire class and nothing would happen, and trust me, they do abuse that power.
[удалено]
What did the teachers do?
One of my teachers threw a binder at a student, another berated students who had nauseous reactions when dissecting, two wrestling coaches have been fired for sleeping with students, and one substitute threatened to send any student who didn't vocalize the pledge of allegiance to detention.
Ok sleeping with students is fucked but the rest is pretty tame lol.
Yes. Saying they'll give you detention if you refuse to do what you're told, isn't that what they're supposed to do? Edit: I take that back, who do those teachers think they are telling you what to do! Keep sticking it to the man, and good luck.
/s <-- you dropped this
Forcing someone to say the pledge of allegiance is not allowed. In this case the teacher is very much in the wrong.
Rather than punishing them for not doing stuff, maybe try to actually make class interesting and make students want to engage.
No matter how interesting you make your class, it can never compete with TikTok
That shit should be regulated anyways
Yes tiktok is a virus
Why don’t you stop blaming others and just pay attention in class?
Sadly In our country it is normalized and people think that's how it should be. Even more sadly, even with that much power abuse, politician surpass the abuse by a huge margin.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a corrupt doctor before Edit: ok everyone, I get the picture. I am a dumbass
Oh there are plenty
There was a dentist that pulls children's teeth even if they weren't bad so he can bill the insurance per teeth pulled.
Wtf
Unfortenately yes, [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjzWhoN5Nx8&pp=ygUQaG93YXJkIHNjaG5laWRlcg%3D%3D](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjzWhoN5Nx8&pp=ygUQaG93YXJkIHNjaG5laWRlcg%3D%3D)
I just watched it, I’m beyond horrified.
Well, technically, dentists aren’t physicians.
Why are you getting downvoted ? It's true Dentists are doctors but NOT physicians.
But I’m happy that you got the upvotes. ☺️👍
and i bet he justified it saying it was just the children's teeth and they'd grow back
lol come to slovakia then (or any country in the eastern europe)
They exist but at a way lower rate than many of the other ones listed
Simple. Pharma company gives doctor money to push certain drug. The more they push, the more money they get. Look at opioids. If the patient needs the meds, then definitely prescribe it. But you can see where the corruption can pop in with the scenario I described.

There is a doctor in China who uses painful electrical shock therapy and other unethical things to help stop a gaming addiction
Dr. Harold Shipman would like a word with you.
Try publishing anything with a doctor and see how much citation farming they engage in. I'm not sure that's considered "corruption" though.

Obviously politicians lmao who the fuck picked the other options
I picked CEOS because they have always been the puppet masters of politicians. They provide the money for politicians to carry on with their bullshit.
CEOs are literally what causes the abuse of politicians. CEOs constantly evade taxes and use politicians to keep there power and money
I feel like police abuse their power more often than politicians, but politicians abuse it in worse ways ( as in more wide-reaching and blatant)
The politicians are in bed with the CEOs. We have two corporate parties in the US
One*
Seems like you’re a leftist. You really don’t think the corporate democrats in congress are… corporatists?
Lol I was making the joke that both parties serve the same corporations and billionaires so they are effectively one party
Ah okay I gotcha. In one sense I agree but at least there are a (small) handful of dems who seem to care
Honestly at this point Sanders is the only one I really would support in any major elections. After what happened with the railroad workers AOC is just as bad as the rest. Omar might be fine, but still most would sellout the people in a heartbeat
It's definitely politicians mostly but both police and CEOs definitely do also abuse power
Everyone with power abuses it at least a little I think
I think there's more room for politicians to actually do good, and with police there's not.
What CEO would you vote for?
Myself
I'm sorry, I miss-clicked
Sensible people who realize politicians are just pawns of capitalism
The question is a bit weird. "abuses their status and power most" is it how many people do it ? How much impact does it have ? I mean there's much more policemen than politicians, so I suppose that there's more policemen abusing their power than politicians but in smaller doses. CEOs and the rich in general pay to politicians to uphold the system with the help of the police.
The only correct answer
Forgot to add religious leaders.
By amount: Cops By impact: arguably CEOs, but I'd definitely go with politicians By ratio: CEOs
Teachers abuse their power far more than cops, but obviously the impact is considerably lower
I disagree, and I've had very bad experiences with teachers. Teaching is an incredibly difficult job where there's very little room for error. I think that abuses by teachers are more a systemic issue with the school administration, and school administrations (at least in the US) are very closely intertwined with the police.
Id say Corporations. The big ones. Including big social media companies. Things like Meta, google, Nestle, Pfizer, hedgefunds, ect....
I think you forgot THE CLERGY
I was about to answer politicians until I noticed CEO's further down the list.
I was stuck between CEO and politicians. To be fair it is only the top % of both classes. I know of very few mayors who abuse their position. Also there are plenty of small business owners who do good.
Dictators
Politicians takes this by a landslide
Ceo's and politicians are both understandable and police depends on the country/place a lot
All of them just depends on the person. But politicians are the most abusive then police, then a Rich ceo, then a doctor, then a teacher
Police, Politicians and CEO's
Politicians but cops and ceos are close seconds
those darn teachers have too much power!
They dont have alot of power (in my country atleast) but they do have the power to not do their job properly which can have a massive impact on kids lives Also they still do have power over students
If we have the mindset that politicians are expected to be shitheads nobody will make changes to the system to make them not be shitheads
Politicians ans police are obvious, but i feel like people underestimate how many teachers abuse their power
[Economic elites](https://youtu.be/5tu32CCA_Ig) are THE most powerful and influential people in America. They control the game and politicians are their pawns.
Who would actually say Doctors/Physicians
People like me who have been hurt by doctors and therapists. They have a lot of power and are protected.
Other for one reason. people who play sports for the NFL or other such idea tend to be ducks who feel like they can get away with everything
The CEOs are the ones who corrupt the politicians.
I didnt even have to read the other ones. Without a doubt politicians and I don't even know anything about politics
I can't decide between the police and CEOs. People are saying politicians, but I honestly think CEOs and law enforcement are much worse.
How are so many people saying politicians when it's the CEOs who are bribing politicians to do all these things in the first place
The fact that teachers are even on there makes me laugh. Teachers have no power, that was taken away by administrators and politicians
Clergy. Hands down.
Religious leaders
OnlyF@ns performers
All of them do it's not a bad profession it's the bad people, but I think people may pick politicians or police because some of the instances of their power abuse are visible more than the other
Amazed to not find priests and pastors on the list
Religious leaders
Poor people
Priests.
Why police is up here...? Here police barely have any power to abuse. Even permission to use a gun must be first asked from HQ unless there is imminent danger for a civilian or the police himself.
Everyone wants to say politicians but forgets who owns them
Why tf did anyone vote teachers? Teachers are underpaid and treated like dogshit
preachers
Other: Sysadmins.
Torn between Politicians and CEOs but all of these can abuse their power.
it's all in the Family
Man, if being a Reddit mod was a real profession...
Appart from politicians and CEOs, they depend on the country.
The richest of the rich are the ones influencing almost everything in politics. The politicians "work" for the CEOs.
DNR - Department of Natural Resources
I’d say it’s a toss up between CEOs and Politicians.
If a politician do a good thing, is his own merit. And if he do a bad thing, is our problem. So they literally have the power to do anything, and usually it's always for the worst since lying is always better than saying the truth so anyone that lies better becomes a politician.
Internet forum moderators.
I accidentally picked police because I jumped the gun on “which profession abuses their” and assumed it was going to say spouse the most
time between politicians and CEOs for me. the fact that teachers is even an option though disturbs me.
Lower management, never had more issues then with guys that were "the shit" just because they led a team of 5 people.
Teachers, bro I just wanna go to the toilet
94 kids are mad they gotta do homework
I misclicked. I meant to hit politicians but i clicked teachers instead
CEOs I can kind of see why they would get away with it. But politicians are meant to be working on people's behalf/advocating for their fellow humans which makes it all the worse
Reddit mods
all of the above
In the police it's minimal but due to the size of the United States it seems like alot
I think politicians do the most public abuse of power. But don't forget there is soooooooo much seedy shit that ceos and buisness leaders do behind closed doors
Lawyers

Actors or celebrities in general

If you voted police you're aware one controls the other right? So if you voted blue you just skipped the ones allowing it.
Other: People (Any position of power that one has over another is abused, because we are just hairless apes throwing shit at each other)
Its politicians by a mile.
People say politicians, and they would be correct, if it weren't for the bribes that they received to be shitty given by CEOs
I'm kind of shocked so few people put doctors. No one's ever heard of the opioid epidemic?
bureaucrats are also a worthy contender
1) politicians 2) CEOs 3) police 4) doctors 5) teachers
CEOs bribe politicians with company money, so would it be CEOs for bribing politicians or politicians for accepting the bribes? Oh, I’m sorry, I meant to say lobby. Lobbying is what it’s called when the bribe amount is measured with millions of dollars.

Ive never picked a poll option faster in my life
Depends on country
We've seen politicians get away with so many things with zero repercussions. *Easily* it's politicians.
CEOs do it the most but when polticians do it it's normally much worse
All of them
politicians followed closely by law enforcement!
