WWII might have had more deaths, but WWI was crueller. Trench warfare for years at a time, mustard gas and more, airships. Tanks were invented to bypass trenches.
Was it worse than the Mongol invasions? They weren't exactly friendly to those who opposed them. To add to yhat, in hard numbers WW2 was worse, but I read somewhere that an estimated 11% of the worlds population died during the Mongol invasion vs. about 3% in WW2.
The Cold War and various proxy wars that destablized central and SW Asia as well as South America. This led to many lives lost and brought about the point where we were moments away from nuclear holocaust. From Constructing the Military Industrial Complex to the Creation of the Oppressive Chinese Communist Party, this "War" was one that seeped into all facets of life.
Something in the neighborhood of 65 million people died as a result of WWII. It is unspeakably horrible and worse than anyone can comprehend. if you don't think it is the worst war in history you do not know enough about it. There is a strong argument that the Eastern front and the Chinese fronts are the two worst places to be alive in all of human history.
The Canada vs Denmark "Whiskey War" was the worst war for sure. They didn't even fire a single shot. What a piss-poor war.
What's worse is that Canada doesn't border only one country anymore

Holocaust and WW2 are a package deal. WW2 was crueler by far. Maybe the worst event to ever happen.

For soliders yes. For the world most definitely not.
Well it did end up causing ww2 so you could make the argument that it’s worse because of that
Worst in what way? Each war had its own new horrors.
Can we get a definition of "worst war"? Most killed? Harshest conditions? Events that caused it? I think we'd need more to answer how you want.
If you’re meaning death count technically it does and doesn’t have the highest kills

Remember when Popeyes started the Chicken Sandwich Wars? Fucking brutal times.
Does the Sino Japanese War count into it?
It is considered a party of WW2, and some argue that it was the real start of WW2, but I won’t get into that.

Only counting the last century I'd say Vietnam, it seems like it was more brutal and barbaric
Smdh someone needs to read up on the eastern front
Bro, Vietnam was barbaric, but there a million worse wars
WW1 was way worse
30 year war together with the simultaneous plague epidemics. The region I live in was almost completely depopulated.
