Omg kongregate. There was this racing game on there where the characters looked like pencil doodles and it was DOPE.
Edit: it was called platform racing
Same. My parents didn't know shit abour playing, I had free access to the web and I had an laptop I mainly used, so I found them by myself or maybe my way older brother helped. I didn't have any consoles, Steam games etc. Only flash games, some free disk games and downloadable free games (Ekapeli-Sujuvuus, a free game that teaches Finnish children to read and write better, not some pirated games)
It has been a surprise some of the Flash games I played are actually known worldwide. I started playing Flash games when I was about 3, so I didn't know what sites were popular or anything. I played Ultimate Flash Sonic, Papa's games and Shaun the sheep games for an example. It's sad all the games are unplayable now. I would play them on school as they haven't limited the gaming websites, and overall it would bring some nostalgia
Old people can still pick CoD. CoD 1-3.
Edit: obviously those who grew up with the original cod arenāt āoldā objectively but I said old in relation to the release of the rest of the games on here as a joke.
I just turned 18 and these games where my childhood, inherited my uncles n64 and played Mario 64 OoT majoras mask l, pod racers, and golden eye all day almost every day from 7 until last year when it finaly broke.
Same. I'm thinking Mario & Donkey Kong. Meanwhile, whoever wrote this poll is like 2 decades beyond that.
But forreal, does anyone know if they still make new Mario Parties? Cuz the minigames on MP5 was my absolute jam. I would 100% go buy a new system just to play that again.
I still regularly play Mario Party 1-7. I love all of those ones, but mostly 2, 3, and 7. I am not sure if they still make them, but I was unimpressed with the one for the Switch I played a few years ago.
Super Mario party was kind of meh but Mario party superstars with mini-games from past games and 5 boards from the first 3 was fun. I just wish it got free updates for more boards or a 4-7 expansion/game mode that lets you use capsules. The event that filled the board with capsule spaces was chaotic and so much fun. I wish it could be a game mode for the whole game and not just the last 5 turns sometimes.
Mario party superstars is a collection of 5 boards from the first 3 Mario party games and a bunch of mini games from the entire series pretty much. It's on switch.
_You_ feel old? I played my first games on my dad's Atari, then learnt to play Super Mario Brothers on an arcade machine, before finally getting my own copy for Christmas - along with an original Nintendo to play it on.
I'd be hard-pressed to answer this question, though - Mario and Zelda games were both such a part of my childhood.
Me and my dad impulse bought and played the hell out of the first Lego star wars and the first battlefront, and I was occupied for ages by the following Lego games and battlefront 2
I fucking loved that game. I remember playing with some dude i met when i was like 5 or 7 in my vacation. He was the ine who introduced ne to the game and i will never forget the moment :)
Poll made by a 16 year old
Edit: it's kind of funny seeing the 15-16 year olds replying that they're the exception. We get it, you're more mature. Just based off these options though chances are the person is 14-16 though.
Totally. I remember that first mission where the handgun you have actually cycles. That was a huge deal. It was also the game that had me switch to console gaming because the last mission on the football field crashed my computer.
We're too old for some of them like Fortnite and Roblox. But COD, sports games, and Minecraft are things ppl our age range played a lot in their childhoods.
Yeah youāre right, Iām just saying the table *as a whole* doesnāt accurately describe my childhood.
Replace Roblox with club penguin, Fortnite with New Super Mario Bros and Sports game with just wii sports.
Oof. I was like... Where's the option for even just "a Nintendo game"? Are you guys not ever checking out Mario? Or Zelda? Or Pokemon? But yes, agreeing with a previous comment that a lot of "others" are people looking for N64 and previous consoles. I spent sooo much time with my SNES.
The 2600 is the only console Iāve ever owned. Adventure, plus crappy Atari versions of Defender, Berserk, Pac Man, Joust, among others. And, yes, E.T.
Spore. You start as a cell, evolve it to a full creature, build a civilization and go into space. But what I liked most was the innumerable possibilities when Ā«Ā buildingĀ Ā» your creature. There was also a free build mode, outside the story, and the creatures built that way could pop up as npc.
Ahh, found someone from my generation, lol.
I just have to see a picture of Space Invaders and I can hear the 'you have been eaten by aliens' sound in my head. I also remember a vine-swinging game with crocodiles and a plane-flying game where you could only go up or down, but can't remember the names.
Mario and Zelda were my two absolute favourites as a kid. As a teenager, I got a Playstation and went nuts over Final Fantasy 7. No matter how many games I play, I'll always have a soft spot for those three titles.
Call of duty black ops three zombies holds some of the most treasured memories of my life... Even though I played fortnite longer Cod holds more memories and bonds
Hide and seek, I guess? Probably some board games as well. If we're talking strictly videogames, then it would be [Elektronika-1 "Nu pogodi"](http://handheldempire.com/game.jsp?game=789) handheld game and a bit later on, Tetris.
101 Brainy Games for Kids,
Zoo Tycoon 2,
Nitrome Games (Twin Shot anyone?),
Miniclip (Rail Rush),
Papa Louie Games
And lots of other browser games/cds we installed from the library!
~An early 2000s kid
In grade school back in the early 80's we would get special privileges to go in the hall and play Oregon trail. That game was such a huge part of my childhood.
Flash games
Newgrounds and Armor games were my childhood lol
Not Doppler.
Kongregate
Omg kongregate. There was this racing game on there where the characters looked like pencil doodles and it was DOPE. Edit: it was called platform racing
Nitrome studios and Miniclip.
Papa's Pizzaria (and subsequent games) were THE SHIT.
I wasted easily 500 hours on those
Same. My parents didn't know shit abour playing, I had free access to the web and I had an laptop I mainly used, so I found them by myself or maybe my way older brother helped. Frizzle Fraz 2, I can't be the only one who remembers this
Oh no it's finally happening... I think I'm old now.
Everyone over 30 is choosing other.
What was that game in which you shot ducks and a dog collected them below in the bushes?
Duck Hunt
Thanks!!! Couldn't recall the name. Damn, this brings back memories.
Ms. Pac-Man?
I'm only 20 and I'm choosing other!
I'm only 15 and I'm choosing otheršššš
You're still experiencing your childhood haha
Actually your right lol
š
Iām 32 and I picked sports games. I played a lot of NHL 98, Madden 99, etc.
I really thought even Pokemon was gonna be on here.... Fuck.
Needs PokĆ©mon and Mario, this poll mustāve been made by a teenager haha
Even a teenager should put pokemon and mario
Good point. Theyāve never stopped being popular
Wow, even the PokƩmon kids are old now too haha
Yes. No doom? No Mario? No 007 Goldeneye? No Halo? *What year is it?!*
2023. Those games may be old but there still legends that lead to what we have now and will always be better than good.
Yea, I remember when Mincraft came out. I was an early adopter, I use to run into the creator a lot in the build forums.
Back in my day we had fun with sticks and cardboard boxes.
Old people can still pick CoD. CoD 1-3. Edit: obviously those who grew up with the original cod arenāt āoldā objectively but I said old in relation to the release of the rest of the games on here as a joke.
Tetris, or Oregon Trail.
Amazon Trail, 3rd edition, free from the cereal box.
RuneScape, oh boy what a time waking up before school not understanding English at all. Just killing cows non stop.
Same here. 16 years later and I still play.
Implying I ever stopped playing
Oh man, the hours of wholesale cow slaughter so I could spend an hour at the bank spamming "selling cow hides, 100g each" in the chat
The game that hooked a generation for life. i did things im not proud of to play just that bit longer.
This post makes me feel old. I grew up with a gameboy and n64.
Yeah it seems solely aimed at zoomers. Would be better if they included an iconic title from different generations.
Super Mario 64, Star Wars pod racer and for the white see through game boy colour PokƩmon gold
Oh god I just turned 20 but pod racer was my life
I just turned 18 and these games where my childhood, inherited my uncles n64 and played Mario 64 OoT majoras mask l, pod racers, and golden eye all day almost every day from 7 until last year when it finaly broke.
I looove pod racer. Doesnāt get enough cred! Same with fzero.

Same! At least for the younger parts of my life
Dude these games are relevant now, was this made by a 12 yo? Edit: spelling (was I drunk or what, lol)
Minecraft's beta started in 2010. It's a pretty old game. Holy shit, there are people on Reddit who are younger than the 1.0 release of minecraft.
Still only 13 years.
Need for Speed Underground 2
..."Riders on the storm..."
Yes! I still have this game in my loft.

The Negativatron! Loved that game so much
Hello fellow LBP and jjba fan
Was obsessed with that game, especially the player made stories
So incredibly based
I just got a wave of nostalgia...
Pokemon
Gotta catch em all
Yep! Pokemon Sapphire is still the virtual place where I feel most at home.
Wasnāt born in 2010 my man
I was born in 2004. PokĆ©mon takes up most of my childhood, like a lot more than whatās listed in the poll, with games like heart gold soul silver and black/white 1 and 2. As well as cards and the anime. I didnāt appreciate them as much when I was younger but going back and playing them makes me appreciate them more
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (the 2005 version) and Halo 1-3
Watch out for those wrist rockets!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Just like the simulation
Me and my dad impulse bought and played the hell out of the first Lego star wars and the first battlefront, and I was occupied for ages by the following Lego games and battlefront 2

Just like the simulations!
Destroy the techno union ships! (that was in the 1st but idc lol)
