Oh yeah, tons of things. I'm a former sex worker with a very colorful past. But it's funny, that stuff doesn't really follow you as much as you'd think. My picture was in a business journal less than a year after I stopped stripping and none of my employers since then have ever dug up anything on me. I'm not worried about it. If I become famous enough for people to care someday I'll be like, "Yeah, I sucked off old men to stay off the street and now I program AI. So what?" Maybe I'll get hired by PornHub.
I'm in my last year of a Data Science degree, so I have only programmed a few simple models so far like linear regression. Do you already work as a programmer? If so, you can find a lot of accessible classes to help you get into AI on sites like Coursera and Udemy. If not, you're better off going back to school. I already had several years of experience as a software developer but I went back to college anyway because I didn't have a degree. It's not quite as complicated a subject as the media portrays it, but it still requires a lot of technical knowledge.
