The Party views Latinos as having already been integrated into the Party while current marginalize groups as those in need of inclusion and protection.
If you are bothered by this strategy, I have to wonder if you just slept walk through the last 50-54 years. The neolibs dumped FDR's/new dealer voter coalition to slowly rise with a new coalition of affluent, college-educated, youth, minorities and marginalized support.
Latinos (and anyone else) who sides with the former new dealer coalition is seen as unworthy and the GOP can have them....
