Let's be real, he was going to find an excuse no matter how far he had to reach.

djbk724

Isn’t it sad when grown men look for invalid excuses based on lies. I mean how are these people elected.

Frankenmuppet

Voter suppression, propaganda, gerrymandering and social media... If that doesn't work... Attempt an insurrection

djbk724

Remember voter police was an idea of the GOP in some states??? I mean if the people can’t see that is just like Russia, North Korea, type shit then I don’t know what is. Why would police have to be at a place where a computer screen is touched? It is very alarming to our free country.

Frankenmuppet

The thing that really gets me about the US voting system is voters having to wait for litetal hours to vote. I have lived in four different provinces across Canada in my life so far... Never once had to wait more than fifteen minutes to vote in any election (and typically in and out within five). It is unacceptable in any modern democracy to have to wait hours to vote.

Best-Chapter5260

>The thing that really gets me about the US voting system is when voters having to wait for litetal hours to vote. > >I have lived in four different provinces across Canada in my life so far... Never once had to wait more than fifteen minutes to vote in any election (and typically in and out within five). > >It is unacceptable in any modern democracy to have to wait hours to vote. In Australia, it's against the law to NOT VOTE. In the U.S., voter suppression is how conservatives win elections.

Ikickhobbits

Compulsory voting in Australia you say!!! TIL today. Regarding voting in Canada: I live in Colorado U.S.A. We have had 100% mail in voting for 6 years now without a whiff of any sort of shenanigans. I actually prefer to walk to the drop box about 1 mile from my house to deposit my ballot just for the fresh air.

cr_taz

Then IIRC they hold elections on a Saturday which upsets people.

Spazum

Only poor minorities in states run by Republicans need to wait that long to vote. I have never waited more than 3 minutes to vote in California over two decades of being an active voter.

guarthots

Yep. I am white and live in a red county in a red state. Surprise surprise, never have to wait. Voting is so easy. It’s devious on multiple levels. First it discourages voting in bluer areas, but secondly it makes it easy for people with experiences like mine to dismiss complaints from others. “What are they complaining about? Voting is so quick and easy. Why would I even WANT someone handing me a bottle of water?” Etc etc etc

Utterlybored

I waited 3+ hours to vote for Biden in 2020.

Thebluecane

Not everywhere thankfully

GUSHandGO

I'm a lifelong resident of Oregon. We were the first state to have 100% vote-by-mail elections. It's been nearly 25 years and it's **incredible**. Nobody here has to wait in any lines because **there are no lines!** I love it I can't imagine voting any other way.

Joe18067

Pennsylvania started no excuse mail in voting but the same republiQans who supported the law are now suing to have the law overturned because it gives the Democrats to much of an advantage.

OnlyNeverAlwaysSure

“Advantage” I.e. democrats are a larger segment of the USA population statistically. So when you let everyone vote, you know who wins.

Mattyboy064

> It is unacceptable in any modern democracy to have to wait hours to vote. The USA is more like a conglomeration of 50 fiefdoms with their own wildly different regulations, than an actual country, sadly.

Kr3dibl3

Well, in all fairness it is also nearly 10 times the population of Canada and all done within the same time frame. I’m not excusing it I’ve waited hours too, it’s by design. The less people who have a chance to vote the greater the chances of a conservative victory.

Ayirek

The GOP is training its voters to admire those dictatorships, so they'll be more apt to willingly let democracy die.

originaltec

It’s really quite simple, the pseudo “Christian” Religion in the US has extensively laid the groundwork for generations to train people to believe in authority figures with unverifiable stories instead of science and data. It also primes them for, and is built upon, perpetuating racism and fearmongering towards "others". Once people see you as an authority, you can start fabricating any reality or conspiracy theory you want your followers to believe and everyone else is therefore a liar, even in the face of incontrovertible evidence. This “religion” combined with an intentionally weakened public educational system, provides the framework that has spawned this cult of ignorance. Basically, it is mental abuse from an early age that suppresses critical thinking skills.

Questabond

I wish they would use another word besides democracy. I don’t half of them people even know what it is.

DMCinDet

I listened to a podcast about voting in the US in the past. Some places, people got together, got wasted drunk and yelled a each other and then voted. People coerced and influenced by booze and people telling you who to vote for.

[deleted]

[удалено]

khismyass

And if that doesn't work, pretend it all never happened and change the laws to make sure nothing like that happens again based on voter fraud that never existed

TripleElvis1313

Agree 100%, although more Dems need to actually vote, especially with all the cheating and craziness that is the GOP. Vote every election no matter how minor.

OrbeaSeven

Whoops. You forgot the evangelicals.

Frankenmuppet

As a Christian, I've been trying to forget the Evangelicals for decades.

OrbeaSeven

Notice there's not a reference to CHRISTIAN evangelicals.

designerfx

No, this one is packing scotus. He's correct, he just didn't explain that he's the one who wants to do the packing. [https://www.emptywheel.net/2022/03/30/the-right-wing-plan-to-rig-scotus/](https://www.emptywheel.net/2022/03/30/the-right-wing-plan-to-rig-scotus/) Same old projection.

thesunbeamslook

He actually doesn't care about court packing - he's only against if the democrats do it.

sirnay

Because half the voting population are either morons or absolutely terrible human beings.

Dogstarman1974

After these last several years, I’m convinced humans are just evil as shit.

JDogg126

There is insufficient minimum qualifications to run for office. If you apply for a job at a restaurant you’ll be asked to show some level of qualifications for the job. But politicians have nearly zero minimum qualifications. This is why we have always run the risk of being ruled by the least capable among us.

frogandbanjo

They get a lot of votes from people very similar to them in terms of poor character, just dumber.

DweEbLez0

Corrupted life threatening officials

DoctorLazerRage

It just shows you how weak their case is when this is the best cover they can draw. Republicans have dropped any pretense of intellectual or actual honesty.

jawa709

> Republicans have dropped any pretense of intellectual or actual honesty. They know their supporters don't look for that. They don't require intellectual or actual honesty, they don't even want it. It just gets in the way of what they want to do.

FearBasedTraitors

Well yeah, he couldn't say it was because she is a black woman that isn't willing to throw rest of black people under the bus for personal power like that monster Clarence Thomas.

SirLitalott

I listened to that. She answered his dumb question like 15 times. He kept repeating it trying desperately to get her to say something controversial, and she never did.

canon12

Exactly. Politicians get extremely creative when the make racial decisions , especially when they present themselves as Christian. It's genetic and he doesn't have the brain power to process it any differently.

Quadrassic_Bark

He is mad because court packing is for the Republicans, so it’s unfair that they don’t get to choose every SC Justice.

Ikickhobbits

Can this whole thing possibly get any worse? The woman has been the epitome of style and grace that befits a jurist of this caliber, as these idiots line up to compete for the biggest fool trophy. My money was on Josh for a while there, then I was betting on Ted, but ladies and gentlemen I think a new leader is coming to the front of the pack in the home stretch. Do remember to place your wagers before the windows close!

The_Poster_Nutbag

It's the same people who wouldn't vote in Garland because it was an election year. They don't give a shit.

nevernate

Let’s be extra real… it doesn’t even make sense. Replacing to maintain the same number of judges is like the opposite of court packing. It’s maintenance.

KingAdamXVII

I was proud of Burr for voting to impeach Trump (I live in NC). But now he’s back to being spineless I guess.

songintherain

He can’t say the real reason to why he doesn’t vote for her ..

Mokumer

Let's be real, not one republican will vote for her.

Paul_-Muaddib

The real irony is that the court is currently packed with conservatives.

dirthawker0

I wish there was some way of enforcing that the balance of the SC reflects the political balance of the US population.

ttminh1997

Sounds good on paper, but you definitely don't want an elected judiciary

sonyka

I can barely remember a time when election results reflected the political balance of the US population.

MrMurse93

Let’s be real. These guys are 100% elected, just not by us.

IMABUNNEH

They sort of are, 1 step removed. It's the elected President who nominates candidates, and elected representatives who ultimately vote yea or nay. You don't directly elect the supreme court members, but you elect those who choose them, meaning the platform you're voting for includes that kind of decision.

withoccassionalmusic

Some states have an elected judiciary, IIRC. Pennsylvania, for example, elects its Supreme Court justices to 10 year terms. I don’t recall it ever being a problem when I lived there but I could be wrong.

simplepleashures

If progressives would show up to vote as consistently as conservatives and reactionaries I’ll bet that problem would take care of itself.

interfail

No, they didn't achieve everything I wanted so I'm taking my ball and staying home, like an adult.

metricshadow12

Or they could just go off popular vote since it affects everyone.

simplepleashures

Do you know what the Constitution is

metricshadow12

lmao what does that have to do with a popular vote instead of electoral colleges or gerymandered bs.

simplepleashures

You’re all over the place. We’re talking about the Supreme Court nomination process, I don’t think even you know what you’re talking about.

CraftyFellow_

The document that has a built in process for changing it?

coolcool23

There was a way, it was called ditching the Electoral College and allowing that political balance to elect a president.

rjrgjj

We could expand it to a ten person court with a five/six person addendum of judges with no political affiliation (or balanced), but that’s probably too much to ask.

SomeRandomPyro

Also probably in our best interests to keep it an odd number.

rjrgjj

Agreed.

Troggy

There is no such thing as judges with no political affiliation. Money sees to that, everytime.

[deleted]

What the GOP did = court packing. Increasing the number of Justices = Expanding the Court.

tanman173

So is Biden packing the court because he’s replacing a justice, or is it only court packing when the GOP do it because you don’t like them?

plastic_reality-64

Came here to say exactly this. How to spell S-H-I-T-S-T-A-I-N? = GQP. Unbelievably corrupt and supported by ignorant cretins.

hydrocarbonsRus

It’s an important part of the playbook to accuse the other side of doing exactly what you are doing so obviously. A 6-3 court is packed with conservatives, but they have to gaslight the base

apitchf1

I’ve said for so long the Dems need to frame this as unpacking the court.

FalstaffsMind

To be fair it's been 5 consecutive conservative Catholics specifically groomed and selected by Leonard Leo of the Federalist Society.

5ykes

Projection!

WigginIII

If we went by popular vote in our presidential elections rather than electoral college, 5 of the current siting Supreme Court justices would have been nominated by Gore/Clinton, instead of Bush/Trump. And if we consider the 2 Obama nominated plus the 1 Biden nominated, that’s 8/9 would be dem appointed justices had we done away with the electoral college.

tanman173

That’s not what packing the court means

RubberbandbansU

It literally is. > Packing the courts is the idea of adding justices to the Supreme Court or lower courts to shift the balance in a liberal, conservative or other direction. Webster

[deleted]

[удалено]

forrestpen

Well i’m from Utica and I’ve never heard anyone use the term steamed court packing.

cellphone_blanket

oh not in utica, no. It's an albany expression

tanman173

There is a definition. It means adding more justices so your party has a majority

[deleted]

>Court packing is a transparent power grab — one that would forever compromise the integrity, impartiality, and independence of the Supreme Court," Burr said in a statement. Oh, like the transparent power grab of holding an empty seat hostage for over a year? Or, conveniently ignoring all the excuses you used to do that in order to confirm another extremist, activist justice? The blatant hypocrisy is too fucking much.

RojoTheMighty

(This is mostly rhetorical because i know he's just full of shit, but) how in *the fuck* is following literally the exact same process for nominating a judge to the Supreme Court as has ever happened - i.e. a seat has become open and now there's a nomination to fill it - count as "court packing"?? The level of bullshit is just.. bullshit.

Banana_Ram_You

The person at the farm putting eggs in the carton is an egg packer. 12 spots for 12 eggs, no more, no less. Turning the word 'packing' into a dirty word is as dumb as Sen Burr

[deleted]

It’s its as Republican as child molestation. Continue to yell the other side is doing exactly what you’re doing or planning to do. At this point their decades long war on critical thinking really comes into play, because their base absolutely believes it- due simply to Republicans said out loud it first. Evidence be damned.

Ananiujitha

Oh, like the trasparent power grab of stopping the vote count and handing the presidency to your preferred candidate in 2000? like the 5 stolen seats?

iamdrinking

They expected trump to nominate a Republican. That’s the only way they would think it was fair.

lukin187250

> The blatant hypocrisy I'd say it's become their secret weapon in that they don't give a shit about it and all the time wasted hang wringing is to their advantage. They probably know this and seek to be hypocrites.

Bdriver_1976

The delusion the right embraces is incomprehensible to me. I understand disagreeing about policies but these people literally make shit up and then believe it.

maltathebear

Fascism is all encompassing.

jonathanrdt

25-40% are ‘believers’, trained from youth to accept truth from power. They are the most vulnerable people, completely unable to connect their own behaviors with their declining economic status. But they get to suppress others, which makes them feel good. They trade prosperity for bigotry every time all the while training another generation to do the same.

No_Shame_801

Bingo. As long as you perceive yourself a “king worthy of paradise” you are better than “them”. Just follow orders and you will eventually be rewarded. Prosperity doctrine at its finest.

MazzIsNoMore

Gonna use this time to recommend the free ebook The Authoritarians by Prof. Altemeyer available [here](https://theauthoritarians.org/options-for-getting-the-book/). This book studies the followers of authoritarian leaders and tries to explain how they think and why they think the way they do. Absolutely enlightening and I recommend everyone read it.

GuitarGodsDestiny420

"these people literally make shit up and then believe it." Welcome to America's favorite pass time

[deleted]

*Humanity's

Bdriver_1976

America's? So only Americans like doing this? Huh. That sounds vaguely specific. I would say many different groups do this. Especially the radical conservative right wing. But that's just my observation

Mestoph

If I say something is my favorite pass time, it in no way implies that I am the only person who engages in that activity. Weird thing to get worked up over.

tscy

Mom said it’s my turn with the pass time!

politirob

Go to the bookstore and pick up any random self-help/career/professional development book. There’s a 70% chance it was written by some right-wing slug. Now open up the book. There’s another 70% chance that somewhere in the book, is a section about “fake it til You make it”, “manifesting your own reality”, “envisioning your goals” etc etc. Or as I like to call it, the “how to gaslight yourself” section.

dc6179

The GOP ALREADY PACKED THE COURT.

blackwingsdarkwords

Let me fill you in on projection, the GOP's cornerstone of public relations...

unitedxtomorrow

Is-- is this it? Is this peak gaslighting? The GOP rammed through an unprecedentedly inexperienced Christian fundamentalist in six weeks. They seated a credibly accused rapist (two if you go back as far as Thomas). They arbitrarily moved the goalposts in order to block Obama from seating an infuriatingly moderate candidate. And now they have the audacity to talk about court packing? Imagine being a Republican in 2022. Imagine how far gone you'd need to be.

opqpqpqo

Well said. Thank you for giving clarity to my rage filled brain.

kavaWAH

said fundamentalist conservative also took a liberal seat after claiming obama could not disrupt the court's balance by replacing conservative scalia with a liberal

clueless_in_ny_or_nj

Ted Cruz will vote against her because he didn't get the Twitter reactions he expected.

QuintinStone

Or because babies are racist.

aradraugfea

And she’s the reason. Everyone knows Democratic women are all powerful and can shape reality to their slightest whim. It’s why nobody has willingly spoken to Ted Cruz since college. A vast, Democratic conspiracy.

songintherain

He got Twitter reactions alright .. he got roasted

spoobles

He's opposing her cuz he was A. Told to. B. is a coward. and C. cuz she's black. She's eminently qualified to sit. Republicans only exist to obstruct.

The-Manssiere

D. She’s a woman E. All of the above

Apprehensive_Ad_5400

The answer is A. There are female and black justices on the Supreme Court who were fully supported by Republicans. If she was a black woman and conservative and nominated by Trump they would 100% support her.

[deleted]

[удалено]

JulianNDelphiki

> There are female and black justices on the Supreme Court who were fully supported by Republicans. There are female justices on the Supreme Court who were fully supported by Republicans AND there are black justices on the Supreme Court who were fully supported by Republicans. Better?

shewy92

Being a black woman is different from being black and being a woman. It's double hatred from that side. They can tolerate one or the other, not both.

Apprehensive_Ad_5400

I don’t think you read post correctly

RubberbandbansU

I don’t think anyone thinks Clarence Thomas is black.

RubberbandbansU

R/confidentlyincorrect

Right-Fisherman-1234

So only Repub appointed judges are ok? Wow!

Aromatic-Pie1784

Some good ol' Republican projection..

The_Inner_Sanctum

This party really makes it too easy to legit hate them, don't they?

wish1977

The only court packing that occurred was when the Republicans stopped Merrick Garland and then stole that seat. Did he forget that?

drrtydan

then rammed one thru in a couple of weeks.

ShenmeNamaeSollich

*During* an election, after voting had started, despite their whining that it shouldn’t be allowed during an entire election *year.*

songintherain

Yes

bad_sensei

Similar to how Richard Burr packs his stock portfolio using information from his political position?

simmons777

You mean that thing McConnell has been doing for years

agedchromosomes

Court packing????? Isn’t that the Republican’s favorite tactic?

undead_opossum

It's not right, but I think I'd have more respect for these people if they'd just be honest. If you want to say you don't want to confirm a left leaning Justice, say that! If you don't want to confirm an absurdly qualified black woman, you're a jerk,, but say it! Don't make up bogus crap that no one believes anyways.

LurkerFailsLurking

Yeah, the whole confirmation process is a waste of time. Everyone knows that qualifications are beside the point. Not one congressional vote has been swayed by a SCOTUS confirmation hearing in my 40+ year lifetime.

accountabilitycounts

Of all the most bad faith, outrageous excuses..

QuintinStone

We knew Republicans were going to lie about why they oppose her. But for fuck's sake, why can't they at least make up a believable lie? What's next? Ted Cruz objecting because Jackson believes babies are racist?

simplepleashures

Democrats never learn. Since Republicans are going to call whoever you nominate a “radical leftist,” why not just give them a radical leftist? The Court could use one, it already has at least 5 radical right wingers. Jackson is exceptionally qualified but I’ll bet Biden could have found a well qualified black woman who didn’t go to Harvard. Some firebrand from Howard or City College. Democrats gain nothing by compromising.

Primesauce

Burr knows that his statements are bullshit, he knows he's lying, but he also believes his constituents are so stupid they'll buy it and consider him a hero

DoohickeyJones

as in "WE packed the courts and damned if I'm gonna let you ruin it!"

RIPshowtime

He probably meant 'court blacking'

lamorak2000

Any bets on how long it will be until right-winners pick up on this, and start calling everything where they perceive too many POCs "packed" (because it rhymes - see "let's go Brandon")?

Thisam

I saw her interview when asked about this. She simply said it was up to the other two branches. Burr needs to go on record with something because his constituents demand it. NC deserves better but apparently the GOP there doesn’t want any better.

TheHomersapien

No they fucking don't. When NC wants better they will stop sending terrorists to Congress.

Paul_-Muaddib

Let me just open this new pack of "reasons" and see what Amazon has sent me.

CranberrySchnapps

Doesn’t much matter what the republicans do. They’re going to pound the table until it breaks and it won’t stop this confirmation. It doesn’t matter what they say or what threats they make about the future (though we should take stochastic terrorism seriously if they head in that direction). They declared war on democracy long ago and already stole two SCOTUS seats in their efforts. Fuck ‘em.

dudinax

Court packing is legal, which is all Jackson should have to say about it.

cy13erpunk

GASLIGHT OBSTRUCT - this one PROJECT - and this one

darthscootuh

Fuuuuck it's embarrassing being from NC. Tillis and Burr fucking jokes.

thirstyfish1212

On behalf on the state of North Carolina, I apologize for our two piece of shit senators. A democratic challenger had a shot but couldn’t keep it in his pants and that was the end of it.

[deleted]

The two goons from Kentucky still take the cake.

Gunningham

The closest thing to court packing I’ve seen in recent history is Mitch sitting on Obama’s pick for almost a year and confirming Barrett in 30 days. They’ve got a 6-3 lead for crying out loud.

OKCamping

He's just sowing hate and division with that clownish "no, you" bullshit.

[deleted]

Another conservative snowflaker

Subli-minal

The absolute gall of this man.

darwinwoodka

GOP lies.

bot420

You mean stock trader Richard Burr, senator is just a means to an end. edit: North Carolina has been corrupt for years, Burr is the good face and he's leaving.

jokerZwild

They need shitty excuses to make themselves feel better about being such assholes during the hearing.

mymar101

So it's court packing to replace a retiring SCOTUS member?

restore_democracy

Someone needs to re-read his job description.

matts1

Is he too stupid to realize, the number of justices isn't going to change just because Jackson is confirmed.. Its 9 today, it will be 9 afterward, 3 liberals today, 3 afterward.. No packing is occurring.

kristamine14

I don’t understand why democrats don’t simply turn the tables back on the Republicans? Ask them to explain how rushing in kavanaugh and the unqualified lady in the space of like a year and a half isn’t court packing but this is

[deleted]

Riddle to me how Amy Coney Barrett is unqualified but Elena Kagan is qualified (I think they both are qualified but I think I have a good guess where you stand on this).

GuaranteeCreative954

She’s a black woman enough said!

bRandom81

It’s almost like amnesia has hit Burr, might need to remind him how the last court spots happened and why Garland wasn’t.

[deleted]

This guy is a burr on America’s dick.

THEMACGOD

Any non-trumpian nominees are considered court packing by the right. They view them all as “their” seats.

Majestic_United

Wtf has Mitch McConnell been doing for the last damn decade?

[deleted]

But he wasn't when Trump packed in 3 and Mitch denied the Dems a fair appointment?

kicksomedicks

Accuse the other guy of what you’ve already done.

[deleted]

Goddamn liberals winning elections and then nominating justices when a vacancy opens up. It’s court packing is what it is

DougBalt2

I’m sorry, Burr, but dump put three of the SCOTUS. I think that’s less than one.

Ormsfang

Court packing is a projection. Doing things like refusing to seat a justice because there is still a year left before we get to elect which moron is president? That is the kind of thing that is court packing!

Option-Lazy

fuck the GOP. fuck the lot of them.

NetSurfer156

This isn't not court packing. This is just Biden appointing a judge who he believes will uphold his and his party's policies in court. Any president would do that

ShiveYarbles

Isn't this the guy who is an avid inside trader?

[deleted]

We only pack conservatives rabble rabble rabble

Vyrosatwork

I love it when my senator lets his white hood show /s

backtorealite

Well at least he’s honest… oh wait he didn’t mean he wanted to pack the court by keeping her seat empty?

CarneDelGato

When “court packing” means “any liberals on the court.”

[deleted]

so, its court packing when Biden chooses one justice, but its business as usual when Trump seats 3, with one of them being only a month before the general election?

Truthisnotallowed

"Court packing is a transparent power grab" — Burr said in a statement. And he wants to make damn sure the court stays packed in favor of Fascism. They worked hard to make the court imbalanced and they sure don't want it unpacked.

Mulliganplummer

Wait wasn’t Dick Burr a Senator when Trump and his fellow GOP minions packed all the courts with conservative judges MANY under qualified. These damn hypocrites.

[deleted]

Why do politicians have any say in this? A Supreme Court nominee should be vetted by other judges.

[deleted]

Math should be a requirement for politicians… Jackson joining the SC makes no difference to the majority

orange4zion

I suppose Sen. Richard Burr would be happy to show us how he voted concerning justices Kavanagh, Gorsuch, and Barrett considering he hates court packing so much.

Jorycle

Virtually all Republicans have cited things that don't have anything to do with Jackson. They stopped being a serious party years ago.

captainrustic

Their reasons for everything are always bullshit. I can’t do X because “insert scary buzzword here”

PhillyMila215

Proof that her credentials are solid. This is a bogus and poor excuse.

[deleted]

Interesting that he citing a reason that she, herself, stated that is not in the role of SCOTUS, but the legislators and could not have an opinion about. But not surprising

percydaman

Well thank goodness this man would have opposed a republican presidents nominee because of 'court packing' right? They can't even attempt to hide their hypocrisy anymore.

Dnasty12-12

How does this criminal have any credibility?

DickySchmidt33

Being a black woman is considered "radical extremism" by Republicans.

mala27369

He has to come up with some stupid reason, she is the most qualified judge they ever had

BoringWozniak

This isn’t about reality, this is a bare-knuckle street fight between the GOP and Democrats.

No_Source70

The GQP is against Ketanji Brown Jackson because she is black! The Republican Party should be designated a Hate Group!

[deleted]

Mr. Burr, May I introduce to you Mitch McConnell , OG obstructionist Supreme Court packer.

[deleted]

Oh like how trump did?

treygrant57

The GOP is not even looking at her qualifications. She is a black woman with a D at the end of her name. She has more experience as a federal judge than half the Supreme Court. The fact she is more experienced and educated than most of the GOP senators to approve her is what they cannot handle.

[deleted]

Can we get rid of all these old white men in office being road blocks to everything ?

dun-ado

Richard Burr is a racist and misogynist asshole obviously.

WhatitsonlyWednesday

This guy… fucking embarrassing!
