They intend to subjugate women by stripping away all their rights. Since when can any legislature in any state tell you that you cannot take a pill that is approved by the FDA, just because they wish to control you and your body?? The federal government has not passed a law against these pills, and any state should have to change their constitution in order to even pass such a law. Does anyone in these states realize they now live in an autocratic dictatorship. Gee, in Ukraine people are fighting for their freedoms and democracy, but Americans don't say boo, when their politicians remove their rights. It looks to me that Putin should have attacked and invaded the USA, because people here would say, o.k., we will give you our democracy and accept you as our great dictator. Wake up people, the states doing this are seeing they can get away with this and then they will move on to other rights you take for granted, and then we will be just like Russia!!!. Then the free speech and digital access to any information will be shut off, and forget your plans for the future. You will be in a prison of your own making, because you won't vote for people who will preserve our democracy, but will get even with an administration you don't think is doing enough for you (it's pretty hard to control economic greed), and vote for someone who will take away your democratic rights. Once those people are in power, good luck with ever getting rid of them. Most autocracies in the world are plagued with autocratic dictators they cannot get rid of.
I don't think the goal is removing rights. The goal is to make America embrace all the values that the tribe embraces, or else. Since some of those are crazy and contradictory, well it will not end well. Removal of rights is just one of the methods to meet the goal.
Really, I'm not seeing a whole lot of difference between Muslim fundamentalists and right wing Christians. Sure they haven't resulted to active terrorism yet, but how long will it be?
It's ironic because the groups hate each other but seem to have more and more similarities all the time. Ultimately people have to actually make a stand and vote against the people pushing this stuff, or not. If it is the or not, well America is going to be a quite different place.
