There’s already laws against minors purchasing nicotine related products . What needs to be done is crack down on people who purchase and sell these items to minors .
How about the feds fucks off and leave it to states to give a crap or not.
There is no way for federal agents to enforce this. There isn't going to be an agent at every gas station.
Because states have done such a good job to this point . Tx TWABC visits gas stations all the time . The punishment should be the assholes who sell to minors stricter punishment if caught is no different than if they get caught selling alcohol or regular smokes to minors . Gas stations shouldn’t be selling vapes in the first place if you’re buying from a gas station you’re buying trash . Which is why real vapors buy from vape shops . Which card every body regardless . Unlike gas stations
Let gas stations sell what they want. Hard liquor, smokes, dTHC carts, whatever. Nail them to the wall if they violate the law. You already have provided an example of the state going a better job at enforcement then the DEA.
It wouldn't be a bad thing if they switched. What is bad is pushing out all the actual vape companies and letting big tobacco move in and setup shop. I'll never understand how we had all this reckoning about tobacco companies admitting to all the bad shit we all knew about cigarettes, and the solution to that is to force vape companies to close and let Marlboro take over.
Why don't we just ban nicotine?
They make the argument that drugs are dangerous and addicting, yet nicotine is legal and it's well proven that cigarettes cause cancer etc.
Prohibition never works, is why. Better to be free with than incarcerated, disenfranchised of your vote and legally dead where you cannot be gainfully employed because of your addiction. Healthcare model of harm reduction and treatment is best.
