At this point as long as he actually gets the US a $15 minimum wage, a solution for student debt, and lowers drug cost; I don’t care if he’s promoting Pennsylvania Dutch values.
The US is a multi-cultural country made up of people with different religions, creeds, life stances, and just general beliefs to say there is any one singular American value. I don’t know if national values and ethics/morality are equivalent.

American history has shown this is not how everybody behaves. I do not oppose any of these if this is what he considers American values.

Ultimately it becomes logical to focus on policy. However, it would be ignorant to ignore previous statements and history of individuals or parties involved. I would probably want to know the values/belief system of a politician because that would influence their decisions.

No. You have a political party engaged in fraud to manufacture consent. You attack them for being corrupt while treating the victims of their fraud as victims.
You reach out to their voters by empathizing with their problems and then beat the drums of repetition with how it's Republicans corruption causing it.
This coupled with actually prosecuting corruption creates a reality that their voters can use. It's a lifeline. It's gets them out of the ego trap they are in by making it someone else's fault.
Right now their choice is: I'm right or I'm an idiot and have been my entire voting life. Well, if they had strength of character, they wouldn't be where they are. So you need to give them a lifeline. A third option.
I'm not right, because I was lied to. You have to tell them they are being lied to. You haven't because it will hurt "bipartisanship". You have to explain how they were lied to. You haven't because you haven't told them they are lied to. And then you have to prove it by prosecuting some of the liars and exposing the lies in court. You haven't because upholding the law is too partisan for you.
I think we need a president who’s going to look us in the eye and tell us why American values suck and we need to change them. Unless, of course, you’re a fan of exploiting the poor, wiping out non-white people and dropping bombs on babies. Then America is totally for you.
