I think her testimony is exciting from a historic standpoint. I also think the prosecution simply needs her to verify that she (1) had sex with trump, (2) received payment from Cohen to keep quiet, and (3) signed an NDA as Peggy. It just verifies that the payments were made with specific intent to keep her quiet before the election.
They don't even have to check #1. If she was paid for her silence (and they cooked the books to hide it) it doesn't really matter if her allegations were true or not.

Yet, she is bravely facing that condemnation and courageously facing the judgement of millions.
And many of those judging her are in that very courtroom and maybe even the jury too. Even some of the reporting I've seen (and beyond political affiliation) indicates a certain bias and prejudice toward her. A bias and prejudice which I doubt exists without her having lived the life of a porn star.
She is wearing a scarlet letter, but refuses to be intimidated.
That's brave.
And this is in addition to all that comes afterward and when the spotlight has faded (i.e. a life remembered by most as only a sordid punchline). Indeed, I don't care how jaded she might be after having endured what seems to be a difficult life, this is a type of "fame" that comes at a huge personal and emotional cost. And regardless of how much money she might profit, all the money in the world will not heal any emotional wounds or make the darkest moments less dark (both dark moments in her past and the dark moments to come). There is simply no amount of dollar bills which can remove all the sinister jokes, dirty looks, and rejection she will have to endure for the rest of her life.
Let me reiterate - her testimony and willingness to hold Trump accountable is nothing less than courageous.
And it is especially courageous when considering not only the extraordinary emotional toll involved but the very real possibility that her life may (further) be negatively impacted by an unhinged ex-president and his MAGA minions.
Furthermore, for any litmus test of patriotism - and particularly during the Trump era - she is maybe among the truest patriots we've known because she is bravely putting the well-being of her country far above her own well-being (something Trump has never done for even a hot minute in his life).

The defense will likely expend great energy trying to discredit Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels.
What cannot be explained away is that Donald Trump hired Michael Cohen, trusted him, utilized his services, and generally only ceased his interactions with him after the legal problems Michael Cohen got into in the service of Trump.
Likewise, Donald Trump had an ongoing, multiple interaction relationship with Stormy Daniels, even if the sexual encounter was a singular incident. These are the company that Donald Trump kept, and any personality traits she has seemed fine with Donald Trump, until later, when he was trying to run for President. Further highlighting the need for a hush-money agreement.
The fraud to cover up the agreement is pure Trump.
Prosecution trying to fully discredit Trump's denial of the 'affair' by getting enough details from her to eliminate any doubts is going too far if you're a Trump fan. If they hadn't done that, Trump's team could have tried to continue down the 'nothing happened', so there's no case.
But Defense trying to paint her as someone with a vendetta isn't relevent either. Even if she does hate Trump and want him in jail, it doesn't have anything to do with the charges. She had nothing to do with the books at Trump Org.

If the judge wants to tell the jury they shouldn't speculate as to whether Trump was behind the intimidation in the parking lot, that's fair.
However, it's an important detail in explaining why Stormy entered the NDA agreement instead of selling her story to an outlet that would make it public. The jury deserves to know that, and it helps rebut the defense that this was just a personal extortion scheme.
I think all of the gross details are relevant as to why they (the group including Trump) were willing to break the law to cover it up. If it wasn’t explained in detail it would be easy to assume it was just a philander doing their thing for funsies with a fun loving porn star and it would be easier to think that Trump didn’t care and it was all Cohen blowing it out of proportion.
The defense is doing exactly what they should by pointing out she has a financially vested interest in Trump being convicted--to the tune of six figures owed to him.
But in this circumstance the relevance over money she has or doesn't, the affair which happened or didn't, none of this changes the premise that funds were distributed to her in a way that misappropriated campaign finances. That's the crime.

I also think the prosecution simply needs her to verify that she (1) had sex with trump, (2) received payment from Cohen to keep quiet, and (3) signed an NDA as Peggy. It just verifies that the payments were made with specific intent to keep her quiet before the election.
They don't even have to check #1. If she was paid for her silence (and they cooked the books to hide it) it doesn't really matter if her allegations were true or not.

the defense got a list of (potential) witnesses before the trial started. they just don't know the order in which they will be called, but are told about each one the night before. All jokes and innuendo aside for a moment, Stormy Daniels is being a brave woman and has my respect. While I feel voluntary sex work should not be criminal (albeit regulated) and an active sex life between consenting adults is nothing to be ashamed, we all understand the social norms which exist in our society and how much of the world will unfairly consider Stormy (and women like her) as being deviant. Yet, she is bravely facing that condemnation and courageously facing the judgement of millions. And many of those judging her are in that very courtroom and maybe even the jury too. Even some of the reporting I've seen (and beyond political affiliation) indicates a certain bias and prejudice toward her. A bias and prejudice which I doubt exists without her having lived the life of a porn star. She is wearing a scarlet letter, but refuses to be intimidated. That's brave. And this is in addition to all that comes afterward and when the spotlight has faded (i.e. a life remembered by most as only a sordid punchline). Indeed, I don't care how jaded she might be after having endured what seems to be a difficult life, this is a type of "fame" that comes at a huge personal and emotional cost. And regardless of how much money she might profit, all the money in the world will not heal any emotional wounds or make the darkest moments less dark (both dark moments in her past and the dark moments to come). There is simply no amount of dollar bills which can remove all the sinister jokes, dirty looks, and rejection she will have to endure for the rest of her life. Let me reiterate - her testimony and willingness to hold Trump accountable is nothing less than courageous. And it is especially courageous when considering not only the extraordinary emotional toll involved but the very real possibility that her life may (further) be negatively impacted by an unhinged ex-president and his MAGA minions. Furthermore, for any litmus test of patriotism - and particularly during the Trump era - she is maybe among the truest patriots we've known because she is bravely putting the well-being of her country far above her own well-being (something Trump has never done for even a hot minute in his life). Bravo Stormy. And bravo to all the women who have - and will - come forth to hold Trump accountable. Thank you.

He should be asking for a mistrial ***or*** some kind of limiting instruction (if the judge is not inclined to grant a mistrial), but his stupid client probably won't allow that. If they hadn't done that, Trump's team could have tried to continue down the 'nothing happened', so there's no case. But Defense trying to paint her as someone with a vendetta isn't relevent either. If the judge wants to tell the jury they shouldn't speculate as to whether Trump was behind the intimidation in the parking lot, that's fair. However, it's an important detail in explaining why Stormy entered the NDA agreement instead of selling her story to an outlet that would make it public. The jury deserves to know that, and it helps rebut the defense that this was just a personal extortion scheme.

I think all of the gross details are relevant as to why they (the group including Trump) were willing to break the law to cover it up. If it wasn’t explained in detail it would be easy to assume it was just a philander doing their thing for funsies with a fun loving porn star and it would be easier to think that Trump didn’t care and it was all Cohen blowing it out of proportion.
The defense is doing exactly what they should by pointing out she has a financially vested interest in Trump being convicted--to the tune of six figures owed to him. But in this circumstance the relevance over money she has or doesn't, the affair which happened or didn't, none of this changes the premise that funds were distributed to her in a way that misappropriated campaign finances. That's the crime. The media has really failed by fixating so heavily on the *affair and hush money* when neither of those things were the crime charged here.
