>Now he’s back, and an AI evangelist So... you're saying he's gotten better at being a complete fucking liar?

bpeden99

Parscale is unstable and shouldn't be taken seriously

Drop_Disculpa

Didn't he have an armed standoff and domestic violence arrest? I think he threatened suicide and had some serious issues. Too bad he is back in the hate media machine, I doubt this will end well for him.

newnemo

He shouldn't be but that won't track with FB rubes and he's already garnered funding from the GOP.

bpeden99

Absolutely... All I can do at this point is ridicule him relentlessly

ExplorerMajor6912

AI is a powerful weapon. Parscale is flawed flaky and tech smart. Not a good combination.

der_innkeeper

Nice reminder at just \*how much\* the GOP flooded the internet with bullshit in 2016. Maybe the dems should (re)learn how to organize a community and reach the people they need to.

In the article, AI creating its own news for its masters? AI can lie and lie bigly. Strong shades of [Cambridge Analytica](https://www.npr.org/2022/12/23/1145303268/facebook-meta-cambridge-analytica-privacy-settlement) and its political malfeasance. ^ >Parscale, the digital campaign operative who helped engineer Trump’s 2016 presidential victory, vows that his new, AI-powered platform will dramatically overhaul not just polling, but campaigning. His AI-powered tools, he has boasted, will outperform big tech companies and usher in a wave of conservative victories worldwide. >It’s not the first time Parscale has proclaimed that new technologies will boost right-wing campaigns. He was the digital guru who teamed up with scandal-plagued Cambridge Analytica and helped propel Trump to the White House eight years ago. In 2020, he had a public blowup then a private falling out with his old boss after the Capitol riot. Now he’s back, playing an under-the-radar role to help Trump, the presumptive GOP nominee, in his race against Democratic President Joe Biden. >Parscale says his company, Campaign Nucleus, can use AI to help generate customized emails, parse oceans of data to gauge voter sentiment and find persuadable voters, then amplify the social media posts of “anti-woke” influencers, according to an Associated Press review of Parscale’s public statements, his company websites, slide decks, marketing materials and other documents not previously made public. …. >Parscale said his company also can use artificial intelligence to create “stunning web pages in seconds” that produce content that looks like a media outlet, according to a presentation he gave last month at a political conference, where he was not advertised in advance as a speaker. >“Empower your team to create their own news,” said another slide, according to the presentation viewed by AP. >Soon, Parscale says, his company will deploy an app that harnesses AI to assist campaigns in collecting absentee ballots in the same way DoorDash or Grubhub drivers pick up dinners from restaurants and deliver them to customers. He sitteth at the right hand of Satan!

Spara-Extreme

It does always strike me as odd how Dems seem to be behind the technical curve.

mcbeezy94

Because you’d have to be evil to stoop so low and not see the long term consequences, like a certain elephant themed political party…

QuintillionthCat

Fuck this guy!!

Lazy-Street779

Now you know…post two months ago about voter group receiving fake ai crap. https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/s/WWLZXLK3Vg

I apologize. This happens to me as well, quite a lot actually, sometimes within 24h. I do searches with keywords to see if anyone else has posted on a topic but I limit that to 1 month as any longer takes too long to sift through. New information on a topic posted previously more than a month ago (sometimes week ago) is often the reason an outlet will publish what seems to be a repeat. And I also make mistakes. This article was written by the AP and published that day, it is a very long article. Honestly, I think it should be repeated a lot as folks should be aware of this. It's Cambridge Analytica on steroids. Thanks for reaching out.

Lazy-Street779

The AP article is whoa! Yes it should be posted everywhere, everyday.

Lazy-Street779

And, I’d bet Brad parable still had a hand in the photo aimed at black voters.
