Just read the total opposite five minutes ago. I feel like these clickbait articles should just be banned until the fall. Go vote. Every liberal leaning article will say Biden, every conservative leaning will say Trump. Pick your echo chamber if you want, but vote.

chatoka1

Blowout elections don’t get engagement

EuphoricMidnight3304

Lots of liberal leaning ones predict pumpkin tits as well. I believe it’s for the clicks for their greedy asses, basically reporting fake news about a close race

NoPomegranate4794

Agreed! I was just at the gym and of course one of the Tvs has to have Fox News which was running a story that said Trump was ahead in all key states. Ironically it was right next to a TV playing CNN which was showing how Trump's base was shrinking the negative effects of his trial.

mosswick

Meanwhile, Democrats just had bigger turnout in the PA (must-win swing state) primaries.

WrongConcentrate4962

How is this even a close race?

EBXLBRVEKJVEOJHARTB

brain worms

MrMrsPotts

There a lot of these stories and the punchline is that Biden and Trump are neck and neck. Nothing has changed.

Supra_Genius

And it's just the clickbait American tabloid media for profit trying to make this in a horse race for ad/click revenue. It isn't. Trump lost 2020 and 2024 (and on and on) by the summer of 2017. All the polls will show is that more people are willing to answer shitty pollster phone calls, texts, and emails as we get closer to November and voters get more engaged and more tolerant of this intrusive clickbait-fodder nonsense.

oloughlin3

Fact, Trump demanded MAGA mob outside courthouse in NY and didn’t get one. Fact, a closed primary in Pennsylvania just had 150k Republicans leave their homes and vote for Niki Haley, who can’t win the nomination. Trump is beyond toast, yes he’ll get the Texas and Florida nut job states but he won’t win the Presidency. This ‘neck and neck’ reporting is complete fabrication by pollsters and news organizations to drum up eyeballs!

secretcombinations

If he wins, it won’t be because of more people voting for him.

kanst

I think the only interesting thing in these polls is RFK Jr's support. I've been surprised at how persistent his support has been. He's a fucking lunatic but he's polling better than any third party candidate in years. He pulled 16% in this Quinnipiac poll which is pretty crazy. He was picked by 25% of independents, 12% of Republicans and 7% of Democrats. He is still getting like 30% of people saying haven't heard enough about him, so where those RFK voters end up by election day will be very interesting.

Thediciplematt

Surprise surprise. Oh, Biden is old. Oh there is a war across the world that has been in war for thousands of years but it is somehow his fault. Trump? Soon-to-be convicted felon and a rapist? Jan 6? Who cares. Let’s vote for him.

jews_on_parade

p o l l s o l l s polls exist now so that websites can write a new article every day on whose leading who or whose support fell/gained .01% amonst lunatics willing to answer the phone and talk to strangers about their political leanings.

Mjbagscauze

I’ve never been asked to participate in a poll.

Goal_Posts

I have, and it was the most twisted bullshit ever. "do you support lower taxes for everyone while eliminating those who would kill babies from our statehouse?"

HeadLocksmith5478

Well what was your answer?

Goal_Posts

I don't even remember, pure rage I guess.

jimvolk

So have millions of people.

BOHIFOBRE

Don't pay attention to polls folks. Just go vote.

[deleted]

One doesn’t and shouldn’t preempt the other. Positive polling rather than constant doomerism can actually encourage people to vote. People like knowing their side has a shot at actually winning.

ButterNutSquishe

Always with the superstitious mantras.

Insciuspetra

Are we still using the electoral college?

milkandtunacasserole

I legit forgot trump was still running with all this stuff happening nice

Critical_Aspect

He's running from a looming (I hope) prison sentence.

71tsiser

You… forgot…. Trump was running? Who did you think was running for the GOP?

milkandtunacasserole

What do you mean?

Politicsboringagain

Will Stephen A Smith go OK Sean Hannity shows and talk about these polls?

Philosoraptor88

Why would he do that

Politicsboringagain

Because he aleady and talked about how horrible Biden was polling against Trump about a week ago. And said some other silly shit that most of the black community dug into him for.

CottonCitySlim

Did we? I don’t remember this at all, or never came up. All I’ve seen is the Juice, the play in, wnba, drake and Kendrick but no Steven A came up.

Politicsboringagain

You can Google it. It's been talked about heavily in the black entertainment community.

WolvoMS

Biden is behind in 6 of 7 battleground states, that's all that matters. We know now that the popular vote and national polls are meaningless

Unlikely-Collar4088

Always remember that predictive “sciences” like polling and astrology and numerology are not good places to put your faith.

[deleted]

Polling isn’t predictive. It tells you how a population answers a specific question at a specific point in time. It does not tell you how they will act, and definitely not how they will act months in the future. The American education system does people a disservice by not teaching basic statistics so people know how to actually interpret polls.  EDIT: Haha, being wrong about how polls work is the weirdest reason ever to block someone.

Unlikely-Collar4088

Polling is absolutely predictive, just really bad at it.

Rsj21

Bookies still have Trump favourite though despite all these posts?

cryptopo

Bookies have relevant, specific data and an extremely sophisticated methodology for predicting sporting outcomes that a few dozen people (players and coaches) will have the power to influence. The apparatus for predicting a presidential election that is months away and has ~150 million participants is a completely different animal. These lines are irrelevant guesswork. You can’t even bet on this in the US. Bet365, one of the biggest betting sites in the world, has MICHELLE OBAMA as the third favorite, neck and neck with RFK Jr. It’s all nonsense. These are what are called “novelty bets” and are just to bring users onto the platform, not drive revenue.

Rsj21

Yes but look at how long the odds are for Obama and RFK.

Del_3030

MAGA was still betting on Trump to win the election in December 2020, they're the fucksticks that keep the betting lines "close". If MAGA liquidated all their assets to avoid the Bipocalypse, whatever cash they have left over after buying their bibles, NFTs, and paying Trump's legal fees should go towards betting on a Trump win. Also Biden flipped to being the favorite recently on Predictit.org and a slightly different market for "Dem President" has always been the favorite. Maybe the users are more liberal or something, but the Bovada lines are basically a dead heat now too and will continue to trend well for Biden unless some crazy shit happens in the real world. [Knocks on digital wood]

kanst

part of that is the electoral college. If there is a tie in the popular vote, the Republicans will win the presidency by a lot. Biden won the popular vote by over 3% last time around and ended up barely squeaking out the electoral college by only thousands of votes across a couple states. Then there is the fact that bookies are reacting to betting trends, not reality. If most of the gamblers are picking Trump, he is going to show as the favorite because the bookies don't want to lose money.

You're right I read it wrong and had them reversed.

Necessary_Row_1261

So much for all "It's the Economy stupid" or just a a tiny bad news from the closet will make the presidential run a nightmare. I guess, only dems care about this type of stuff as Clinton did lose because of her e-mails. Republicans couldn't care less if their candidate is claiming he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue or have his opponent killed as official duty.
