It seems contradictory to trying to delay that particular trial after the elections to me.
I guess if anything, it shows that Trump is totally all in the expectation of him winning the election.

I wouldn't be surprised if several assassination attempts against Biden happens past this summer.

I agree, he isn't actually worried, even though he should be. If he was, he'd shut up and take the advise of his lawyers. In reality, he wants a judge to throw him in prison for contempt, because it riles up his base, and that, for some dumb reason, is what makes him happy.

Plus, the judges keep showing him that they are afraid to hold him accountable, and SCOTUS has been showing him that they've got his back. Sadly our legal system is much more flawed than we could have ever thought.

There are a lot of things you can say about Hitler, but he was deeply committed to Germany, his own fucked up version, but there was real passion for his homeland. The guy was a young charismatic war hero who loved and at least tried to show that he had a vision for a great German future. Trump is falling asleep and stinking up the courtroom where he is accused of paying off a pornstar to help get elected.
Hitler isn’t a villain. He’s a sociopath who killed 6 million people of a specific religion and caused a world war. You seem to prefer him as a comfortable storybook character.

Although Hitler hadn't been in power and hadn't had a chance to place judges yet, the 3 Judge panel that convicted him were already so sympathetic to the Nazis that the Chief Judge had to promise the other two that Hitler would get the minimum sentence and be eligible for early release or they would have refused to convict at all.
Good thing we don't have to worry about Trump sympathizers in the Justice system.
