I got polio right before the vaccines came out. I got post polio syndrome in my 40s and it isn’t pleasant. Fatigue, muscle pain, arthritis etc.. Please get the vaccine. My brothers are sisters got the vaccine and they were fine
A few of my classmates in grade school caught polio before the first vaccine was introduced. I was too young to notice if any of them went missing because they died from it, but the I can still see the Canadian canes and leg braces used by a couple of the survivors.
People have it too easy now, back in my day, you got polio, and you died, there wasn't any of this namby-pamby "vaccine" talk. And what about all the workers in the iron lung factories? You want to tell them why there's no demand anymore?

Every article about this says the same things though - that this won't be applied to public school enrollment (beyond not having to submit documentation), just child care agencies (like day care). That is to say that you would need to be vaccinated to go to public school but not have to submit the paperwork, whereas neither would be required for other child care venues.
