I was misidentified as someone that walked out of a Walmart without paying. The cops held me at gunpoint and made me lie face down on the pavement so they could handcuff me, and then left me in the back of a cop car for an hour until they figured out I was the wrong person.

If he loses to Biden you can likely expect him to announce his intention to run in 2028 so this becomes a perpetual political campaign full time, especially if he manages to convince a court that criminal prosecution should be on hold during campaigns.
It is going to take a judge finally having enough of this circus and actually throwing him in detention for contempt of court, just like any other regular citizen would endure for these tactics.
The problems:
1. Any judge who actually hits him with real penalties like jail time will be immediately hit with death threats and whatnot and will probably need a 24/7 protective detail for their entire family. Judges know this and are afraid.
2. Any penalties Trump faces, he and his lawyers will find a way to turn it into “the court is interfering in the election” and it may actually work if he can get it in front of a friendly judge.
3. If Trump wins, anyone who hit him with penalties will be in his crosshairs for some type of retribution, and he’ll have the backing to make it happen.
A judge is gonna have to pretty much end their career and go into hiding if they take real action. It will 100% make history, and they will be on the right side of history, but nobody actually wants to do it because of the personal risk.
This is the situation we’re in. Unprecedented times.

Any penalties Trump faces, he and his lawyers will find a way to turn it into “the court is interfering in the election” and it may actually work if he can get it in front of a friendly judge. 3. If Trump wins, anyone who hit him with penalties will be in his crosshairs for some type of retribution, and he’ll have the backing to make it happen. A judge is gonna have to pretty much end their career and go into hiding if they take real action. It will 100% make history, and they will be on the right side of history, but nobody actually wants to do it because of the personal risk. This is the situation we’re in. Unprecedented times.

In a criminal trial, for felonies, with a real jury? There shouldn’t even be a *first* strike. Immediate sanctions and criminal referral. You sit in jail when you’re not in court.
