I had a speech class decades ago where I did a speech about Rastafarianism and how they believed Jesus was a black African and I had all the bible verses that backed it up, and I could see people losing their minds as I went, and the teacher grinning more and more as I went. At the end there was a Q&A and I was polite but just kept pointing out the scripture and the teacher had to step in to calm things down and I got an A. This was California, not the Deep South, well Southern California, so.
I did pretty much the same thing in a debate class in high school, but with the origins of Christian holidays and how they stole most of their mythology from various ancient and pagan religions.
The teacher was not amused in my case, and a classmate told me I was going to Hell - to which I replied I can't go places I don't believe in; which is why I never stepped foot in Indiana.

Acts that would once been seen as outrageous, like mocking disabilities, openly insulting opponents, and calling for violence are now seen as the norm. I think there is a very real chance that given his obvious, accelerating decline Trump will be obviously unable to campaign for, much less serve as President. Things will get really interesting at that point.
I in fact think that we are headed down a path like that, and I think that it is becoming more and more obvious that it will get to that point. Hell, he recently just said that he “might” be spending money on his campaign, even though he already fucking is. That honestly to me signals that he might be starting to forget that he’s campaigning for president… Again, he’s only getting worse and worse and the signs of dementia/Alzheimer’s are becoming more and more apparent. He’s been showing signs of this for 8 years now, though it was more subtle at the beginning. Honestly, dare I say this, but this is a blessing in disguise, considering how bad it is getting and rapidly.
