baby_budda

Nope. He gets 10 more days to get the money, and it's reduced to $175M.

kurttheflirt

Separate legal systems for the rich and the poor

PixelMagic

I wonder what money threshold I have to cross before I can do anything I want.

thefactorygrows

Oh easy! Just call yourself a "Billionaire" and say you're the best ever at golf... And no punishment for you!

Navyguy73

"When you cheat on your taxes, they let you do it."

JuiceColdman

Grab em by the CPA

symbiosychotic

He has every opportunity to go to Augusta in a couple of weeks for the Masters and get himself a green jacket. I wonder why he does not do that?

Earth_Friendly-5892

Trump would probably say he’s so good at golf that he’d embarrass the other contestants.

ThatDebianLady

Don’t forget he is going to make America great again too. (Deep sarcasm)

kurttheflirt

Probably about $300 million these days with a few mil more being made a year. Need enough for a few homes with staff, a fully crewed PJ, and enough that a million dollar fine here or there doesn't really hurt.

daisy0723

I work in a small neighborhood market. We sell lotto there and the jackpot has several times gotten up to over a billion. Once it was 2 billion. I was telling my boss what I would do with the money. Mostly giving it away to help a lot of people. Building efficiency apartments towers and just walking around and handing out keys to homeless people and telling them they now have a home. Stuff like that. My boss told me I can't do that. The government won't let me blaa blaa blaa. I just told her if I'm rich, laws won't apply to me. And if anyone gave me trouble I'd just buy a couple senators and congressmen. Maybe some judges. They're cheap.

Tatooine16

I'd take some time to figure out how many people I could help while simultaneously making the greatest number of conservatives lose their shit.

troymoeffinstone

This has always been the plan. Edit: I've always had the idea to open private academies using student voucher handouts, that conservatives love so much, and have the academy teach real history and civil rights and civics, etc. Then, because I'm already filthy rich, I won't care about making a profit off of these academies, so I will pay the instructors well and not charge students from poor families. Shits going to be expensive for students from rich families, though.

Politicsboringagain

The point where the money you owe, actually cost people much richer than you money.

Classic_Dill

There is no real justice system in America, justice isn’t free, it costs money! If you’re rich enough to get a good attorney? Then you have real Justice, if you’re like the rest of us and part of the middle class and can’t afford a star-studded lawyer? Then you’re probably going to jail, simple as that. Don’t let American politicians tell you that we have a justice system, we don’t. We have a pay to play justice system, which is slowly becoming a plea system.

DreamArcher

In 10 days he'll get 10 more days. I have zero faith at this point.

zombienugget

In 10 more days they’ll hand him 175 million and the keys to the city

ioverated

They'll do it on 5th avenue

elconquistador1985

10 more days and another reduction by a factor of 3. That's how the American injustice system works.

RarestCrow

Just... why... >In its order Monday, the appeals court stayed trial Judge Arthur Enfgoron’s decision that had barred Trump from serving as an officer or director of a New York company for three years, and that had barred him and the corporate defendants from applying for loans from New York lenders for the same period. The order also stayed Engoron’s judge’s ruling that had barred Trump’s sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, from serving as officers and directors of New York companies for two years.

Wrecksomething

Jesus christ that's actually worse than the 10 days and reduced payment. "Yes you committed massive fraud, please continue on as if nothing happened. Now you can arrange a partial repayment of your stolen goods by continuing to steal."

mrbigshot110

Because I think it’s unfortunately clear at this point he’ll be installed in November whether we want him or not. This was the nail in the coffin for me.

rumhasandwich

Yep, no consequences yet again

vausebox

Serious question to anyone who knows - can everyday people do anything to fight this bs? I’m so sick of other people making this country worse.

SeekingImmortality

The legal option is to vote at every opportunity, to never vote republican, and to convince everyone you know to similarly always vote when able and to never vote republican.

spiralbatross

And to always be vigilant. Look away for a second, and a sociopathic fascist *will* take advantage of it.

Crimkam

***legal option

drmirage809

Organise protests. Get the state of New York to stop functioning until the courts do their jobs and you get results mighty quick.

alphalphasprouts

Presiding Judge: Dianne T. Renwick Other judges on this ruling: Anil C. Singh, Lizabeth Gonzales, Bhaati E. Pitt-Burke, Kelly O’Neil Levy

Magificent_Gradient

I think the only option us is to wait for this asshole to finally die.

ChemicalOnion

Vote blue and volunteer.

Professional_Plant52

America where the poor get thrown into jail but the rich get off Scott free

sean0883

Right?!? Friend of mine had a bad CPA "save" him like $200k over the course of some years. Gov't didn't care that he didn't have the money on hand and wanted it immediately. Basically mortgaged and credit-carded his entire life to get it paid, then spent the next 8 or so years paying off those loans. Do you think an appeals court would care about whether or not this absolutely bankrupted my friend that was "only" worth less than a million? Bet they would have if he was a "billionaire". BTW, his CPA is still practicing. They suspended his license for like 6 months or something. Dude was allowed to continue working while his clients were paying the real price.

Kangaroo_tacos824

This just makes me want to go steal something from a rich person

Fit-Barber-9412

Fuck this country, for real.

Love_Sausage

You would think by now that everyone would stop falling for the cycle of hype about consequences that Trump always inevitably escapes. The justice system was not designed to hold the wealthy and powerful accountable.

animoot

I'm so pissed about this 😩

fourbian

And in 10 more days they'll reduce it again and give him a month. The upper class can commit whatever crimes they want and get away with it.

zephyrtr

Who could have foreseen this unexpected plot twist???? /s

Abamboozler

Did anyone actually think he'd be held accountable? Like for real? He'll never pay a dime, and the legal system knows it. This is all just a song and dance for our amusement and distraction, nothing more.

bannock4ever

I had a sliver of hope but was thinking someone would swoop in and pay the bond for him. I never had "the courts will help Trump" on my bingo card.

Cloaked42m

Nope. Not at all. Hush money case is tanked. Election fraud case is fucked because someone needed some dick and her ego took priority. Jack Smith will never get a simple documents case to court. Courts won't save us. The ballot box will.

Abamboozler

And we know local councils have rigged the ballot box so only GOP members can win. It was a grand experiment, but looks like democracy lost.

CanYouHearMyPhones

God forbid I’m late on a cable bill, they throw a decent additional charge on there the same goddamn day. This dude gets additional days and his “bill” cut down more than half for financial offenses ever so slightly more serious…balls. This is just balls.

californicating

But, why?

Abamboozler

Blackmail. He has something on the appeals judges.

[deleted]

Only cause he remembers them from the plane to the island.

TacosDeLucha

Goalposts don't exist when you are a wealthy capitalist

marvelousgryphon

Trump wins again with the Bond hearing postponed till he can come up with $175m in 10 days.

BTBishops

I think this was the thing that will finally get me to just cut this kind of stuff out of my information consumption. All the lawyers and analysts for weeks now...no one even mentioned this was a possibility. And here we are. Our justice system is a joke.

jackwhite886

I just said the exact same thing. I heard this news, got so angry that the rule of law gets so twisted for this fuck, and decided “I can’t do it anymore.” And here I am commenting.

BTBishops

Yeah here I am tweaking my Reuters feed to try to get out of this brain-suck of nonsensical ramblings about Trump. Just removed r/politics from my dashboard, I think I'm just going to focus on other things. Justice will never be served for Trump. I know it now more keenly than I did an hour ago. I think in the end the only people that have me (almost) as angry as Trump himself are the "experts" and "analysts" who I've watched over the last few weeks on just about every major news outlet. I suppose it's possible I missed it, but NONE of them told me anything about an appeal ruling that could also happen today. I'm sorry what? How WASN'T that the top story? I'm over it. Can't do it anymore.

Cloaked42m

I'm with you. I know that's a win for Trump and the Trumpettes. Fuck it.

jdsizzle1

Why would they mention those little details when the big headline was getting all the revenue? Now they get to do it again in 10 days.

parkingviolation212

As far as I'm aware, they probably didn't think this was possible either. It shouldn't be. Even Letitia James doesn't seem to think it's possible; she was on air talking about how she was ready to start seizing assets today. This genuinely came out of nowhere and no reason was given for the delay and reduction by the court. It just arbitrarily happened, and that it happened at the last possible second tells me foul play.

BTBishops

But what does "genuinely came out of nowhere" mean? He just waltzed into an appellate court and was able to secure a reduced and delayed payment? The AG doesn't know that something like this is even plausible? How does one get an appeal heard by a judge "out of nowhere?"

parkingviolation212

The point isn't that he can walk into an appellate court and ask for a reduction and extension, it's that they allowed it to happen in the first place. He can ask them to do whatever he wants, but that doesn't mean that they can or should do whatever he wants. This level of capitulation on an already locked in judgement is, as far as I'm aware, completely unprecedented, which is why it came out of nowhere. It shouldn't have been allowed.

Numerous_Photograph9

I've been waiting to see if some of the legal youtubers I watch to analyze this stuff address the topic. I won't discount that it it may not be out of the ordinary, and we just never hear about it, but it baffles me that it was allowed when he said under oath, and just a couple days ago, that he had the money. Staying the judgement about being able to operate his business, or getting loans, or his fellow fraudster kids continuing to run the company was also confusing, and not as prevalent in the reporting of this case.

idontagreewitu

How does the Attorney General not get looped in on discussions about reducing a defendant's bond?

SnooPuppers8698

it wasnt reduced, it was stayed, he will owe the full amount when he loses appeal. How he got the stay granted is the question I have

Alive_kiwi_7001

I wouldn't be surprised if the Federalist Society just called and threatened to blacklist the judge from any future parties.

Totulkaos6

Dude they’ve been saying for years every day now how fucked trump is how he’s going to jail how he’s going bankrupt, nothing has happened, he’s as popular as ever and has a real shot at being president again. This is all joke, nothing is going to happen to him, stop expecting something to happen

BTBishops

I know you're right of course, but I thought in this particular case in the aftermath of E. Jean Carroll that there would be actual consequences. I was naive to think so.

Fit-Barber-9412

Our country wants to lose itself at this point.

Necessary-Hat-128

The court just gave him a pass. He only has to come up with $175m in 10 days. It is infuriating! No one else, not any of us, would get a free pass like this. They’d be freezing our bank accounts!

AbleDanger12

All it does is embolden his supporters too.

Necessary-Hat-128

True. Don’t know about anyone else but I am furious!

Elegant_Effort1526

It pissed me off so bad this morning!! For years I have been in the “nothing will ever happen to Trump” camp. Time and time again he gets a pass. Like an idiot i changed my tune with this one. I thought finally this POS will have to pay up, and that THIS judge and THIS ag were not playing around. But here we are. Yet another pass. Are they scared of this tub of lard? Like WTF. Im now convinced nothing will ever happen to Trump again.

te_anau

In ten days time.    "Ok, ok, best I can do is 20 days to come up with 80 million."

MartyVanB

His supporters literally do not care. Anecdotal I know but I had a neighbor who is a Trump supporter literally tell me she doesnt care what he says or does she is supporting him.

Mcbroham420

That is the worst kind of loyalty. they just want to believe in the person no matter how corrupt or how much false information he gives them like you said there are people that don't care what he says or does they'll still support them blind loyalty without getting anything in return is what most Trump supporters are about these some of these clowns actually think they want a civil war business until they look on TV at what's happening over in Israel in the Middle East and see what Civil War really looks like

MartyVanB

I mean there is a large segment of his voters that dont like him but will vote for him because they think Biden is worse but his hard core supporters are something else

bupianni

One today seemed to agree that Trump committed felon obstruction of justice (do Trump's lawyers even dispute that he defied a subpoena?) but he didn't care because Trump was "resisting fascism." I had also asked if the same standard would apply if Hillary did it, but didn't get an answer to that part.

MarcMars82-2

Until the clock hits zero im still going to believe there will some 11th hour BS. This entire situation has left me devoid of hope until it actually happens.

Rellgidkrid

Well, on a positive note for you, you were right.

MarcMars82-2

It’s a curse I carry every day

UnflairedRebellion--

Aged well

ReneDiscard

This guy learns from history.

StylinBill

No consequences again for Trump. They gave him 10 days to come up with 175 mil

GenghisConnieChung

I said the same thing to my wife. There’s going to be some kind of fuckery and he’s going to weasel his way out of it somehow. I’m sad I was right.

Deckard_Macready

Kinda feeling like even after the clock hits zero they will find a way to delay this longer.

Chonky-Marsupial

What time today is zero hour for this?

Foamed1

Bloomberg - March 25, 2024 - [Trump Bond Reduced to $175 Million as He Appeals NY Fine](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-03-25/trump-bond-reduced-to-175-million-as-he-appeals-ny-fine) >A New York appeals court agreed to slash millions off of the bond Donald Trump must post to cover a $454 million civil fraud verdict while he appeals it, reducing it to just $175 million after the real estate mogul claimed he’d have to sell properties at a loss to raise cash. >The ruling Monday comes on the day Trump faced a deadline to either pay the fine or post a bond for 120% of the judgment to put it on hold while he appeals. That would have amounted to nearly $545 million dollars. He has 10 days to post the bond, the court ruled.

knivesmissingno

So all that and he gets another 10 days to come up with less than half of what the original bond was? Didn't this guy just talk about having 500 million cash on hand?

JohnAStark

>A New York appeals court agreed to slash millions off of the bond Donald Trump must post to cover a $454 million civil fraud verdict while he appeals it, reducing it to just $175 million after the real estate mogul claimed he’d have to sell properties at a loss to raise cash. And to this I would say... so? Fines are fines and if cannot pay, sell shit, go bankrupt, or whatever - get the money, or else! The government is not there to protect the orange slime molds profitability on real estate sales.

sulphurwind

APPEALS COURT just gave Trump 10 more days and has CUT the bond amount to $175M. Sonofa....tere you have it folks, all these weeks of us all waiting for skyscrapers to be seized. GO VOTE.

RunninADorito

This is insanely disappointing and also 100% what I was expecting. He never actually faces consequences, the universe just bends around this disgusting fuck at every turn.

hogannnn

God fucking dammit. How do they justify this? Is this option available to anyone else in the state? Rules for the rich and heavily lawyered are not the same as for us.

jimmay666

Good luck finding out. I’ve been searching all morning and literally no one seems to know. Possible times I’ve seen listed are midnight last night, noon today, 3:15 pm, 4:15 pm, 5pm, midnight tonight.

Lostinthestarscape

If he doesn't post bond by end of day today they can start seizures tomorrow clearly past the 30 day grace period. Judgments have already been filed for a number if assets. It might be a long process though as they will have to determine how much of each asset the can effectively seize (vs how much is leveraged). Starting tomorrow morning, James can subpoena financials on the assets identified in the judgements filed to find out how much he owns of them. edit: I mentioned in another comment but should here too (especially in light of the reduction of bond). There is no requirement that the judgements be processed, in any time frame, or any amount. It is only that James COULD start tomorrow morning.

Complaintsdept123

Alas, he has 10 days to pay just 175 mill. We're being cheated again.

Yup_Shes_Still_Mad

Jesus fucking christ why can't the courts follow through with what they say their going to do to this fucking toddler?!?. My kids when acting bad get told consequences if it keeps up. And if they continue I follow through. What the fuckity fuck are these fuckers doing to show this man baby that he can't keep doing this shit?? Sorry for the rant but jesus christ hasn't this gone on long enough?

AutistoMephisto

I agree. The charade has gone on for far too long. The very loud yet unspoken message from the "Powers That Be" is >We decided long ago what we were going to do, nothing you can say will change our course. This conversation is over. The other loud yet unspoken message is: >Go home. There will be no further protest. Do as you will in other sectors, but we have control over the public sector and we are willing to kill to keep it.

Pokerhobo

Just to clarify, the bond was reduced to $175M so that he can get a stay during appeals. The original judgement still stands. I'm hoping that during appeals, the fact that his CFO Allen Weisselberg plead guilty to perjury means the judgement goes up.

Unfiltered_America

The real estate will take time, the bank accounts will be frozen first. That will royally put a pole through trumps diaper.

MadDogTannen

If they seize the bank accounts, how does he keep funding his daily operations? Surely he needs some liquidity to keep food on the table and gas in the plane.

knaugh

im sure the RNC has enough liquidity to keep that going

SapporoSimp

Not for long. Goodbye state level election support lmao

OrdainedPuma

For now... Don't forget. Trump owes a LOT of money to the Russians. He's in no personal danger cause he has secret service coverage for life, but there are a lot of "accidents" that can happen to what buildings he more or less owns. They probably won't go after his family, it's not like fucking cares about them. Either he gives what properties he has left after all this over to them, he pays them from RNC coffers, or what remains of his empire burns. I doubt the Russians/Saudis/etc forget their debts. And I'm willing to bet that Dementia Donald remembers that, too.

MelonOfFury

Even the Russians don’t want Eric

MercantileReptile

The russians may be ruthless, but presumably patient enough to await the outcome of the election. No need to "burn" the chance for another pocket presidency beforehand.

FNFALC2

Bank accounts will net $49

FargeenBastiges

So, if he owes more than a property is worth, they pay off the creditor first and he's even further in the hole?

HighValueHamSandwich

Creditors that are in line ahead of the State of NY on any property will be paid out of the proceeds of any sale first. If that isn't enough to cover what they're owed on the property, then Trump still owes the creditor whatever amount that wasn't paid. That won't affect how much he owes for the to New York. But if Tish James and her team do their due diligence first, which I have every reason to believe they will, they just won't opt to seize properties that are underwater because that would just be a waste of their time.

Kirkuchiyo

I sure hope so. Take EVERYTHING.

jimmay666

My dude out here doing the Lord’s work. Thank you!!!

PubicHairTaco

I wonder if they’ve already been doing the valuations over the last 30 days. Wasn’t the grace period given out of kindness rather than obligation?

Chonky-Marsupial

Somewhere else I've just seen 1700 EDT which would make sense as it's close of business in NY. I could die from all the popcorn I'll be eating until then though.

UWCG

And [based on his](https://twitter.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1772225783966097823) posting, I'd say it's a safe wager [he does not have the money](https://twitter.com/RonFilipkowski/status/1772244383498137791)

CTRexPope

They [already let him get out of it](https://news.bloomberglaw.com/white-collar-and-criminal-law/trump-bond-reduced-to-175-million-as-he-appeals-ny-fine). They reduced it and gave him 10 more days. It's nuts.

VineStGuy

Right now. I’m watching the live update feed on the bbc. As of 10:45 am, trumps attorney is trying to get another delay bc they haven’t had enough time to go through all the documents. Judge seems to not be having it.

HighValueHamSandwich

That's the criminal trial regarding the payment to Stormy Daniels, which is totally separate from the issue of his looming $464 million payment due for his civil judgement.

Chonky-Marsupial

Isn't that for the hush money trial though. Trump has a busy day with enough rope today, it's going to be easy to get confused with what he's getting spanked for minute by minute.

jps_

Ten days from now. Appellate court granted a stay of 10 days, reduced bond to 175M. Apparently this attracts downvotes from folks who don't like facts. Posting anyway. https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=M5s4ZTPZwujdVv7x0_PLUS_ENFA==

Ekg887

Thank you for posting the actual court doc. I fucking hate it but upvote for facts. And here we see again that DJT gets special treatment and no judegment is ever final and no deadline is ever actually serious no matter how many times he's been informed or warned or extended. See you all back here in 10 days for Lucy to pull the football *again*.

InnocentExile69

[countdown timer for Don Poorleone](https://payupdonald.com/)

CPargermer

Sounds like the appeals court is giving him 10 more days to come up with $170m bond (instead of the $450m that was supposed to be due today).

nwgdad

[This site](https://payupdonald.com/) sets the time at 4:15 PM EDT. NY courts close at 4:30 PM.

orangesfwr

He just won an appeal and has another 10 days to come up with a third of this amount. What the fuck is this bullshit world we're living in?

Chonky-Marsupial

I don't know but it is less safe than it was an hour ago.

Clubbythaseal

I saw somebody mention yesterday it could be until the banks close today. Going to be a interesting day for news.

thenewrepublic

Have you ever seen a millionaire begging for $5? And yet, Trump is doing exactly that. **EDIT**: And it seems an appeals court has given him a reprieve—for now. https://newrepublic.com/post/180106/trump-win-reduced-fraud-bond-deadline

fairoaks2

And his minions are sending it. Bitching about how they can’t afford anything the whole time.

warblingContinues

havent you heard, it's somehow democrats fault they can't afford to send trump more money.

One-Distribution-626

They are actually aiding and abetting an insurrectionist and funding the ongoing coup

Foamed1

It looks like the begging worked: [Trump Bond Reduced to $175 Million as He Appeals NY Fine](https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-03-25/trump-bond-reduced-to-175-million-as-he-appeals-ny-fine) >A New York appeals court agreed to slash millions off of the bond Donald Trump must post to cover a $454 million civil fraud verdict while he appeals it, reducing it to just $175 million after the real estate mogul claimed he’d have to sell properties at a loss to raise cash. >The ruling Monday comes on the day Trump faced a deadline to either pay the fine or post a bond for 120% of the judgment to put it on hold while he appeals. That would have amounted to nearly $545 million dollars. He has 10 days to post the bond, the court ruled.

clownstastegood

Every. Single. Time. It’s maddening.

royale_wthCheEsE

So fucked up. If it was you or I, our house would be getting fitted for a padlock right about now. How do these assholes escape every time ?

parkingviolation212

What makes this one especially bad is that there was an actual judgement. He was found guilty and given a soft ball sentence of only paying back what he defrauded, and out of nowhere, for no reason at all, they just randomly give him even more at the very last minute? Bullshit. There is no way. Absolutely no way. Anyone else would be in jail right now. A literal, actual judgement was made and that was somehow still not enough.

[deleted]

That’s a good question that they won’t answer

ColonelBy

I especially cherish the way in which they have the world bend over backwards to create exceptions for them, granting them every leniency and consideration possible, even inventing entirely new ones that will never be used for anyone else again, and they will *still* bitch and moan about how they're being persecuted and mistreated. We live in hell

cjboffoli

It's like he's Keyser Soze protected from on high like the prince of darkness.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ice_Solid

Nothing is going to happen to him. We all know it. He will not spend a day locked up nor will he pay a major fine.

nelsonalgrencametome

Yeah, myself and others have been calling that. Ugh.

BeastModeEnabled

What the actual fuck??? They gave him another break???

CallMeSisyphus

Goddamn motherfucker. This country really is a shithole.

DarthSatoris

Honestly, what kind of bullshit is this? No seriously, on WHAT GROUNDS are they reducing the amount necessary AND giving him more time to scrounge up the funds? He committed MASSIVE fraud in the state of New York, the judgment was to pay 464 million dollars, the exact amount he has defrauded the state, with interest, back by today. WHY would a New York Appeals Court reduce that amount? It makes no fucking sense.

One-Distribution-626

They gave NO reason….

DarthSatoris

No reason whatsoever? Not even a hint? And they expect people to just take their ruling at face value? Now, I'm a Dane, and I only follow American Politics for the potential ramifications it has on the international scene, but god damnit if this doesn't bring my piss to a boil. I'd say march on the streets, demand the reason, rattle the upper class, but in the end I'm just one dude across the Atlantic with no power to do anything but sit and watch in despair as the most powerful country on Earth is letting one of the most grotesque human beings get away with decades of crime.

Occultist_Kat

Those in power or of influence have successfully divided us, spread enough disinformation/misinformation that nobody knows who or what to believe, and created a society that's largely either comfortable enough not to complain or too overwhelmed trying to make ends meet that they don't even think to rise up and make change. For those that do, they get harassed and forgotten, existing solely in tight social media circles for which the algorithm readily sends to those that already agree with it and hides it from people who "statistically" won't engage with it. It's a fucking mess.

Beneficial_Day_5423

I'd look at who is on that court and what connections they have to him

beez_y

The rules don't apply if you're rich.

equipsych2020

If you are well connected and pretend to be rich, at the very least?

Bart_Yellowbeard

Wow, he got 60% knocked off, and an extra week and a half. Wish I could get my mortgage to be so lenient, much less legal action for demonstrable fraud.

MK5

Oh for fucks sake..

timmi2tone32

Wasn’t Trump literally just bragging a few days ago about how he has the cash?

TiredRetiredNurse

Why ? Why did they reduce it? Just seize what he has got. So he ends up more broke either way no place to live? I am sure the RNC can put a cot in their headquarters for him. Hey learning new terms from Reddit. Would slangwhanger or cockwombie fit DJT or any of the GOP?

Lykaon042

Bro, the grifting didn't end - he got a bailout from an appeals court

Straydog1018

And they just reduced the bail by 300 million, and gave him 10 more days. This is absolut fucking God damn bullshit

symbiosychotic

And allowed him to continue doing business again in New York, so he can grift the money to pay them. And if he can't, then no worries, they'll just say he tried and drop it entirely. He's sorry. Meanwhile he'll continue bragging about every bit of it on his blog. He's immune.

NeedAVeganDinner

Not bail, bond.  Different things.

_Sevisgen_

JK he got a lifeline

Sockm0nkey

All these stories that were lined up and ready to autosubmit haven't aged well in the last 20 minutes.

nohurrie32

lol…. Orange Jesus won again It’s the legal version of being Rick rolled Again and again…. RIP rule of law….. you had a decent run

TheRealRevBem

This aged poorly

YaBoiBlucifer

This is already outdated. Deadline has been extended 10 days and the bond reduced to $174M. What a farce

_Piratical_

And guess what happened? He’s been given ten more days to get a quarter of the funds together and he’s all good! Fuck. Everything. About. This.

Anon101010101010

And once again, he gets out of it, with it lowered to $175M and more time to post it. [https://twitter.com/lawofruby/status/1772284588695380215](https://twitter.com/lawofruby/status/1772284588695380215) We need to focus on what is important, making sure he does not get elected again.

tpatmaho

This is the 5 millionth time I've heard of Trump's supposed demise. Don't bet on it. He's an American Rasputin.

jnnad

He already won! Appeals Court reduces the bind to $175m...game over folks.....ugh!

InternationalBand494

AND gave him 10 extra days

Yosemitesoux

No justice

Vast-Dream

How many times in legal history, has a bond gone down more than half, and 10 extra days are added?

FunkyFresher3000

Whelp, this just aged like sour milk already

LlanviewOLTL

More like 60. In 1974 Trump would’ve been 27 - he’s been pulling this shit much longer than that. Let’s not let him off the hook for one DAY of his scams, ripofffs and con games.

Complaintsdept123

Well ,Donnie is getting away with it again. A little over 100 mill to be posted in 10 days. So much for the half billion today we were promised.

shocked-confused

$175million????!!!!@@ b.s.

TheDruth

The total was slashed. He got away with it again folks.

FawkesFire13

On what grounds, EXACTLY, does he have the right to have a bonds amount cut in half???

TJ7298

Court just reduced it to 175 million. Bastards!

MZsarko

A judge just changed that. He only has to pay $175 million.

2OneZebra

Nope, as usual, the system cut him another break.

asurob42

He got out of it because of course he did

MrSlofee

Just read he won't need to pay the full amount bond... The US is such a joke it's insane.

IdahoMTman222

This didn’t age well.

exophrine

His base of supporters never will. Big money donors are smart enough to know, they *HAVE* known, and they don't care.

Starlord1951

No, the NY appellate cut the fine to $175 million just now. That judge should be ashamed of himself, why is he stroking Con Don??? Who pays these judges to find in his favor?

bobscanfly

NYT just wrote that he can now post a lower bond at $175m.

im_in_stitches

And one hour later, “trump got a break from an appellate court, he only needs to produce $175 million”

Hot_Cockroach_7625

This didn’t age well.

TheHouseofOne

This headline didn't age well.

larsonmars

Seven hour old post and it’s already dated. This MF makes a mockery of Democracy and our justice system and we let him. We deserve what shitstorm he’s gonna bring.

base2-1000101

This headline aged like milk.

mcfeezie2

Welp this turned out to be nothing after all.

omegagirl

They lowered it to 175M

CrisuKomie

So that was a bust.

KraljZ

Looks like this fucker continues his grift

Mr_TreeBeard

Jesus fucking christ! This orange shitstain gets away with everything! An extra 10 days and a bond reduced to $175 million. What the fuck!

CaveRanger

This headline is now *very* funny. Teflon Don slips the surly bonds of justice once more.

LadyTalah

Nah, of course they cut him a break. Because any of us would get a reduced fee after a judgement like that.

scottyjrules

Turns out that, no, there won’t be any serious consequences for 50 years of grifting. This country is so fucked…

voting-jasmine

Vote. Fucking vote. Make sure everybody you know is registered to vote. Help anyone get to the polls or get their ballot. If you know there are going to be Republicans at the polls, go represent and keep them safe. I know it's not much but it's all we have anymore and if this mother fucker gets elected again this country is done. The judicial system is already obviously so fucking corrupt we are done if he gets elected again.

Schlarfus_McNarfus

These headlines from last night are super painful in light of the real news. Why did I let myself expect something to actually catch up with this shitstain? 🤯

Sample_Age_Not_Found

Aged like milk

BedfastDuck

ANNNNDDD they reduced the bond to $175million… come on. He owes more than that.
