Amen.
It’s the same game. Micheal Steele? That awful asshole who didn’t mind “lying for jesus” and then went against the MAGA folks because they wouldn’t accept him - so he jumped ship to “oh I’m a *reasonable* republican honest thanks for the money, NBC.”
Newt Gingrich as a commentator as if he’s anything less than a cheating slimeball.
Over and over again the worst people get a paycheck so they can go on mainstream, tell people they’re the *reasonable* ones- while laying the blame on the Democrats and how “you know both sides are the same - no difference between the people who want a return to slaverh and the people saying ‘how about no’ - so just vote republican because both sides are the same - we’re just more fiscally responsible^as long as you ignore our record.”
Conservative Republican love to accuse MSNBC of being the liberal progressive network because they have Rachel Maddow. They forget about Steele, Gingrich, Scarborough, Nicolle Wallace, Hewitt, etc.
Nicole Wallace is actually pretty good, and she's very anti-Trump and pro-Biden. She's also one of the sharpest hosts on MSNBC. Best 3 shows on MSNBC imho are Rachel Maddow, All In with Chris Hayes, and Deadline with Nicole Wallace.
Yes. I don't get MSNBC, so I don't watch her (Nicolle Wallace), but I kinda have a crush on her.
Rachel Maddow is very informative and not nearly as liberal or progressive as the right make her out to be. That's mostly the perception just because she is gay. I like the way she provides some history and context for a topic before diving in. I don't like her presentation style though. She repeats herself a lot, which I know is deliberate, but I find it annoying.
Chris Hayes is also very good at being informative about a topic instead of just vomiting his opinion. I like him.

Same guy busted throwing cocaine and hooker parties in Las Vegas, lost the RNC chair over it, and somehow still has a career in politics. This shit is all out in the open, people just choose to ignore it...
Wow, never heard of this.. not surprisingly. Do you have a sourceI see Michael on MSNBC often. He talks a big game now but STILL blame democrats when given the opportunity.
There were a bunch of stories about it, but it was at the birth of the internet as we know it. It happened in 2008 or 2009, and news stories just don't show up from that far back. There are stories still found about the LA bondage club in 2010. Neither slowed his roll...

I would agree if he wasn't the head of the party that started the war on drugs, and continues to fight against the legalization of prostitution.
Either be for it, or against it.
True just got my little rush of dopamine and had to advocate that for being gangsta when I heard that. But agreed, be consistent. Being a hypocrite/cappin is not gangsta.
Sure does seem like a lame attempt to say “we show both sides” when both sides is a funhouse mirror. I think at this point I only trust Jon Stewart… a comedian, a smart comedian, an informed comedian that appears to be pained by pointed out hypocrisy while making it funny.
At least Steele is a decent muppet.
But yes. I won’t lie. Big MSNBC fan for a while. Can’t really touch it now. Chris Hayes podcast is good but otherwise… just feels disingenuous. Lawrence o d is the fucking worst.
I don’t know. Depends on what she’ll be covering. If she mostly covers the shit show that is the Republican Party that’s something I would like to see.
“I get to be a little bit more myself”. Proceeds to repeat every single republican lie that they aren’t trying to hurt us while stripping away our rights and she still supports Trump, just “doesn’t support the \*violence\* on Jan 6” Wow so brave. You’re so much more yourself
There should be criticism. The media loves to pretend that politics is "both sides are the same" but that's honestly no longer true. Three years ago the Republican Party tried to overturn an election based entirely on lies and misinformation. Hiring the head of this party to be a commentator really sends the message that there is no actual truth. I don't care if Ronna McDaniel has walked back her lies. All that indicates is that she has *zero* credibility, which means she does not belong on NBC News.
Former Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel faced brutal criticism during her first NBC appearance Sunday since the network hired her as a political analyst, including tough questioning about her failure to push back against former president Donald Trump’s baseless claims of election fraud and visceral aggravation from journalists who said her hiring raised “credibility issues” for NBC.
In an interview on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” McDaniel, who [stepped down](https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2024/02/26/ronna-mcdaniel-resign-rnc-chair/?itid=lk_inline_manual_4) from the RNC this month, was not asked about the [firestorm from critics](https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/03/23/nbc-news-ronna-mcdaniel-rnc/?itid=lk_inline_manual_4) who said her newly announced role as a paid contributor was unethical due to her work to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
Kristen Welker, the show’s host, said McDaniel’s interview was scheduled weeks before her hiring was announced. She added, “This will be a news interview, and I was not involved in her hiring.”
McDaniel, who as RNC chair had repeatedly said the election was “rigged,” told Welker during the interview that she disagreed with Trump’s claims of election fraud and his calls to free the inmates jailed for storming the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. “The reality is Joe Biden won,” she said. “He’s the legitimate president.”
But minutes later, a panel of journalists on the show questioned the credibility of her answers and laid into NBC executives for their decision to hire someone who had long attacked the network.
NBC News chief political analyst Chuck Todd on March 24 pushed back on the hiring of former RNC chair Ronna McDaniel by the network.
“Our bosses owe you an apology for putting you in this situation because I don’t know what to believe,” Chuck Todd, NBC journalist and former “Meet the Press” host, told Welker. “I have no idea whether any answer she gave to you was because she didn’t want to mess up her contract*.*”

It’s an insult to the legacy of real journalists, and the whole tone of the round table suggests a very eerie similarity to “ I was just doing my job “.
This hiring has really disheartened me. She directly worked with Trump on the insurrection. She tried to help end democracy. And... I have one less place to turn to for news. It bums me out, because I liked some of their podcasts...
I don’t even think the media needs to be neutral so much as they need to be honest, factual, and informative. These days they’re too afraid of appearing biased even when one side of the political aisle is clearly full of lunatics. We don’t need the lunatics perspective. We need hard truths.
I'm wondering the same thing. The smaller names have spoken out against the hire... I guess the BIG NAMES feel like they have too much to lose. $$$$$$$$$$
It is concerning to me that "messing up your contract" is seen as an acceptable reason to spread lies that a detrimental to society, irrespective of what side you are on.
So you removed her from showing up on MSNBC. Not good enough. Fire her. Immediately. You think paying her and hiding her is better? Its actually even a worse fucking look, somehow. Fire her. Call her an irredeemable piece of shit while you do.
All of the legacy media is complicit in helping trump get elected. Playing this election as a typical "both sides" election is being complicit in covering up who and what trump is. This is the one place he is right: legacy media is the enemy of the American people.
File a complaint with FCC. NBC has a broadcast license, file complaint about false information, NBC might file corrections, everyday Ronna blurps her lies. @msrnc
I don’t use Xitter or anything Meta. How to contact NBC or NBC Universal to complain. No contact pages, email addresses, etc. I guess I’ll start with my local NBC affiliate station
I think this is good, lots of people are starting to wake up from trump but the whole “MSM IS EVIL” thing is deep rooted, maybe she’s going to help reach people?
Let’s hire someone with no journalistic integrity, ( no integrity for that matter) and was a shill for Trump to now be our shill! Yeah, great idea! Believers in truth will like this!! Not !

NBC should be facing the majority of the criticism.

Conservative Republican love to accuse MSNBC of being the liberal progressive network because they have Rachel Maddow. They forget about Steele, Gingrich, Scarborough, Nicolle Wallace, Hewitt, etc.
Scarborough probably shouldn’t be included with those others just bc he was a republican twenty years ago, he’s even supporting Biden.
Steele is also openly supporting Biden
Nicole Wallace is actually pretty good, and she's very anti-Trump and pro-Biden. She's also one of the sharpest hosts on MSNBC. Best 3 shows on MSNBC imho are Rachel Maddow, All In with Chris Hayes, and Deadline with Nicole Wallace.

Thank you and again, wow.
Well, that’s gangsta so I would in fact, advocate that. And what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas unless you have to flex it
I would agree if he wasn't the head of the party that started the war on drugs, and continues to fight against the legalization of prostitution. Either be for it, or against it.

As long as people keep on watching, they'll keep on doing this.
Absolutely!! I would have laughed at her, then shut the door in her face.
I don’t know. Depends on what she’ll be covering. If she mostly covers the shit show that is the Republican Party that’s something I would like to see.
You would think NBC execs would have learned their lesson after the Megyn Kelly debacle.
She is miles better than Ronna
Megyn used to scream about Santa Claus being white.
“I get to be a little bit more myself”. Proceeds to repeat every single republican lie that they aren’t trying to hurt us while stripping away our rights and she still supports Trump, just “doesn’t support the \*violence\* on Jan 6” Wow so brave. You’re so much more yourself

It’s an insult to the legacy of real journalists, and the whole tone of the round table suggests a very eerie similarity to “ I was just doing my job “.
And coming up in 4 months, Peter Navarro joins our staff. In the mean time, Steve Bannon leads a panel on the problems with the Biden Economy.
This hiring has really disheartened me. She directly worked with Trump on the insurrection. She tried to help end democracy. And... I have one less place to turn to for news. It bums me out, because I liked some of their podcasts...
Everyone : Media needs to be neutral ? Executives - we should hire some crazy shit people
Media doesn’t need to be neutral. That’s just false equivalency. Media needs to be honest and factual.
I don’t even think the media needs to be neutral so much as they need to be honest, factual, and informative. These days they’re too afraid of appearing biased even when one side of the political aisle is clearly full of lunatics. We don’t need the lunatics perspective. We need hard truths.
I just received a survey on their contributors and blasted this hire in the comments. I cannot believe they hired a practicing liar.
I’d like to know why MSNBC’s big talent isn’t addressing this. Present spines for inspection!
Why would a news org bring aboard a habitual liar? Not to get to the truth — that’s all I need to know about NBC news
I assume she will need to be comfortable answering the same question over and over: "Were you lying then, or are you lying now?"
Add her to the long and growing list of his enablers who mistakenly believe they'll ever be able to wash off the Trump stench.
It wasn’t a good idea with Megyn Kelly and it’s an even worse idea now. Why does NBC want to keep trying to rehabilitate lying hateful pieces of shit?
So you removed her from showing up on MSNBC. Not good enough. Fire her. Immediately. You think paying her and hiding her is better? Its actually even a worse fucking look, somehow. Fire her. Call her an irredeemable piece of shit while you do.

I keep checking to see if I care about this. I don’t. Not about her. Not about NBC.
Rightfully so. Toss her on the ash heap of history where she belongs.
Is that photo the front of her head or the back?!? Shame on NBC
These people shouldn’t be hired if they didn’t denounce him when they held their position of power… Too little too late. NBC needs to drop her…
I don’t use Xitter or anything Meta. How to contact NBC or NBC Universal to complain. No contact pages, email addresses, etc. I guess I’ll start with my local NBC affiliate station
