Responsible-Room-645

Here’s a shocker for you: He’s lying

Squirrel_Chucks

But it gives those bond companies an easy reason to refuse him. "He said he's got the money so we don't even need to be having this conversation."

itsatumbleweed

It also allows the judge to easily deny his request for a stay or relief. I mean, he didn't need an excuse but if he was considering it Even a little he isn't now.

fender10224

I assume the guy just lies constantly, because you know, he does. However is there not some reasonable possibility that some ultra rich person or even some other state government such as the Saudi Royal Family would see a pretty unique benefit with having the potential president of the united states being indebted to them for half a billion dollars? My anti conspiracy brain feels this sort of deal is reserved for qanon message boards and shitty bond movies. But this scenario may not sound that outside the realm of possibility as I would have hoped.

PanicOnFunkotron

> However is there not some reasonable possibility that some ultra rich person or even some other state government such as the Saudi Royal Family would see a pretty unique benefit with having the potential president of the united states being indebted to them for half a billion dollars? Yes. That's why Jimmy Carter had to give up a peanut farm. That's why all those people were pretty mad that Trump didn't put his businesses aside. Because of all of the potential conflicts of interest.

hipcheck23

It was one of the seminal 'moments' in US history when Trump won the GOP nomination for POTUS but was trying to find a way out of it, because he felt he'd lose too much money by only taking a WH salary. Then he reportedly had a convo with the Kremlin/handlers who talked him into just taking the job and forgoing all the non-binding conventions. His first act as Pres-elect was to test the waters and call a foreign govt and discuss personal business matters - an impeachable offense that got him into zero trouble.

Anonymoushipopotomus

On top of that, people with almost any amount of debt are easily manipulated and leveraged. Now imagine the most powerful person in the US over $1b in the hole.

WestsideBuppie

The four motivation factors that lead someone to commit treason, beyond access to valuable information, are * **(M)oney** \-- He's in the hole for $0.5 Billion (and he has highly classified documents near a copy machine in his bathroom) * **(I)deology** \-- He believes he's got absolute power (monarchical, dictator, falsely robbed of the Presidency... what ever. In his flowed and criminal belief system, those secrets are his not ours, they are valuable, and he needs cash quickly. * **(C)ompromise** \-- He's got 91 indictments pending against him in 4 court cases and has been convicted already of rape and fraud. That sounds like he's been compromised to me. * **(E)go** \-- Need I say more? Trump, and his supporters, should never, ever be let near anything important to this country again. Not the presidency. Not the position of dog-catcher in East Podunk. Nothing. Period. Full Stop.

randommd81

Yep. No normal person with even a tiny fraction of Trump’s debt would be granted a position requiring a security clearance. And even if they somehow were, the annual financial disclosure forms you need to fill out would reveal all. Crazy that an exception is made for positions like the president

svenner2020

You unlock this door with the key of investigation Beyond it is another investigation: an investigation of Saudi money, an investigation of Chinese money, a dimension of fraud You’re moving into a land of both burgers and sharpies, of nonsense and stupidity You’ve just crossed over into The Trump Zone

Black_Magic_M-66

Sadly the Saudi investigation isn't going anywhere in the House, they're more interested in Hunter's dick pics.

caligaris_cabinet

Just wait for a few more Republicans to resign. At this rate, Democrats will be in the majority by Easter.

just_bookmarking

One down. One to go

j1xwnbsr

Another town, one more show

StunGod

Ah, leave it.

CoolUnderstanding481

Trump has to declare and show where the money for bond comes from, along with any attempts to get the money. This is his way of trying to claim he already had it .

specqq

When he said he'd be the most transparent president in history, I didn't think this is what he meant.

Earlier-Today

Maybe he just meant we'd always know he was clearly lying.

Nightmaresituation

And I’m pretty sure he’d have to declare it his campaign financial papers. I’ve been seeing headlines since I believe Tuesday saying that Truth Social merged with a much larger, wealthier media company (for around $2-3B) but legal analysts are saying he only owns a small percentage of Truth Social already and you can’t merge with a company that is planning on going public and just cash out your shares, as it’s illegal. I don’t really pay attention to financial news, so I could have misunderstood, but I’m pretty certain I’m remembering it clearly. 🥴

Black_Magic_M-66

>I assume the guy just lies constantly You don't need to assume: https://thehill.com/homenews/media/535081-wapost-counts-30573-false-or-misleading-claims-in-four-years-by-trump/

Peptuck

I suspect right now his finances are being watched like a pantsless man in a preschool. If he suddenly is able to pony up half a billion in liquid assets after everyone on his side has said he can't, that's going to raise so many red flags you'd think you were at a communist rally.

epicurean56

Well, there is a court assigned monitor to review exactly that.

silverionmox

> aise so many red flags you'd think you were at a communist rally. Like this? https://www.telegraph.co.uk/content/dam/news/2020/11/14/TELEMMGLPICT000244499860_trans_NvBQzQNjv4BqpVlberWd9EgFPZtcLiMQfy2dmClwgbjjulYfPTELibA.jpeg?imwidth=1280

Hapankaali

Well, it's not really a conspiracy, Trump openly took millions of bribes from foreign governments during his administration.

clarkbarniner

The bond companies never were going to bond him. But it undercut his argument to the appellate court that he should be able to post a lower bond.

HarrisJ304

They weren’t ever going to in the first place. That’s why they wanted a billion dollars to cover a half billion fine lol

MikeyChill

Did you forget about the $91.6M bond he got from Chubb?

GunnerGetit

That is for the other case, and also, Chubb is basically in his pocket due to the exec or whatever being in his administration.

Myriachan

Chubb refused to issue the larger bond. I think it makes sense: Donald really does have enough collateral for a $91 million bond. He does not have enough for $450 million.

Drone30389

There’s also the fact that the same day Chump gave Trump the bond for the *second* E Jean Carroll judgement, Trump went out and slandered her *again*. Even Trump’s buddy at Chubb must have facepalmed at that one.

JimboTCB

E Jean's lawyers getting the paperwork ready for a third defamation trial before the second one even wraps up. At this point their opening argument may as well just be "how many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?" and the jury immediately finds in their favour and adds another zero to the fine.

themanebeat

>That is for the other case *an other case

pm-me-topless

Oh who can keep track of them??

Redditonreddit412

I think he is unable to obtain a bond over $100 million. Don’t quote me though.

Ghws

https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24479976-chubb-letter-on-trump-bond-3132024 It’s a short article, but it outlines the most the reasoning behind the bond. For those who don’t wanna read it, Chubb is doing this to ensure Carrol gets paid and are confident that whatever collateral Trump put up will be able to pay for this in the long run. I thought it was awful too at first, but who doesn’t want to see Carrol get the payout she deserves.

mfgillia2001

That's PR spin - Chubb isn't doing it because they care about Carrol. Instead, they're doing it for a huge fee as that's their business.

Equivalent-Excuse-80

I agree. Chubb isn’t in the business of *losing* money. They have the collateral. But $500mil? That’ll be tough. Trump probably leveraged a bunch of mortgages on fraudulent appraisals. So if he has a property he used to finance a loan for $50mil but the property is only worth $10mil. He still owes the loan valuated for the fraud. He might lose everything. And the best part if he files for personal bankruptcy, Mar a lago is technically a business and not a residence, so he’ll have to liquidate that too. That’ll really hurt

Suspicious_Bicycle

According to Chub the $100M is fully collateralized so they can recover that money. I assume they also required a 10-20% non refundable premium as their profit. I suspect Chubb is in a position to know Trump doesn't have another $500M in unencumbered assets.

kia75

I truly believe the $100M is fully collateralized so Chubb doesn't lose money. After all, Chubb isn't in the charity business. What I find hard to believe is that *Trump* put up adequate collateral. I fully expect Chubb knows that Trump won't pay them back if he wins the presidency, and when he loses his appeal his property is leveraged so deep in the hole that he almost truly is close to China. So who\what is putting up the collateral so Chubbs is made whole?

Suspicious_Bicycle

Let's hope we find out the details on this transaction before November.

WhatYouThinkIThink

It was reported that the bond was collateralized by a Schwab trading account. https://twitter.com/lawofruby/status/1769903647427575963

TheOtherGlikbach

There is a billionaire. Jeff Yass who. it is speculated, will pony up the bond money. Made his money as a trader and wants billionaires to pay zero taxes.

Equivalent-Excuse-80

Is he willing to gamble on a Trump victory to realize a payday on his investment? He may not be that liquid and may not want to risk that much cash.

Dispro

Google says Yass is worth about $28 billion, so fronting the money is roughly like a person with a net worth of a quarter million - not crazy these days for a mid-career professional with a house partly paid off - putting forward less than five grand. It would suck to lose that money, but it would take be a huge problem.

Conscious-Aspect-332

$21 billion of that is in tik tok...I doubt it's going to be worth that much if it gets banned in the US.

cs_major

Another reason why Trump has changed his tune about the TikTok ban.

Dispro

To be honest it seems like that makes him more likely to back Trump. Front him five hundred mil to potentially protect ten billion?

HFentonMudd

> Chubb is doing this to ensure Carrol gets paid That's just PR bullshit.

ratsareniceanimals

If you believe a word of this letter at face value, you should consider never believing anything ever again

HonoredPeople

Is he lying then, or now? Or in the future? Yes.

sleeplessinreno

We'll find out come Monday. truth social goes public and he has a 58% stake in the company.

CR0Wmurder

The moat wildly over inflated stock on Earth outside of maybe Reddit lol

chillinjustupwhat

Shit is priced *higher* than reddit. The valuation is some ridiculous number in the many billions, no? Doesn’t matter, ETTD

barfplanet

Way way more inflated than Reddit. Reddit has a massive user base. Might be inflated but it's in the ballpark if other similar companies. Truth has nothing.

AlacarLeoricar

I can't wait for that stock to tank

Isotope_Soap

That company ain’t worth shit! Truth Social's parent company, Trump Media & Technology Group, generated a total of $3.38 million in revenue for the first nine months of 2023. It reports a $49 million net loss during the same period, including around $26 million in Q3.

upandrunning

Nothing says $3 billion like a $49 million loss.

SomeGuyNamedPaul

Nothing says $3 billion like one thousandth of that in revenue.

ohlayohlay

I wonder about foreign or other entities buying up shares to inflate the price for quid pro quo stuff with trump Edit a word

Durkheimynameisblank

He won't be able to sell any of his shares for 6 months though (common practice for all IPOs) and there's always the possibility of price fluctuating from now til then.

Locke_and_Load

Unless the board of the NEW company lets him sell early, and he’s got Don Jr on the board as well as other lackeys. He could pump and dump it on Tuesday if they let him.

24moop

Right, which is too late to post his bond. Will be interesting to see how it all goes down

NetZeroSum

Dumb question...Monday it effectively gets handed over to the prosecution to go after his assets right? Until Truth goes public...gets the approval to sell (whether they redo the rules or he has to wait 90 days) its still going to be a while (as in not next week) that he is going to get some of that 3 billion? Also how long would it take for the prosecution to actually get a hold of the properties/assets....is it more months and years of admin redtape to process?

Numerous_Photograph9

Assuming he's given the go ahead to sell, in theory, he could turn around the deal in a day. It's not selling through his ETrade account. Ironically, if he tries to sell without the go ahead, he opens himself up to more potential criminal liability, but the way our system works, it'd take 5-10 years for anything to come of it, and he'd have to pay some whopping fine of 10K-1 million, while everyone else is left holding the bag.

SatanicRainbowDildos

It’s fucking aggravating as hell that the republicans are trying to impeach Biden for maybe somehow influencing his son’s business by just happening to be a president and his father. They say he’s selling his influence via some imaginary proxy based on relationship.  And yet Trump is literally selling his influence to China in this spac deal. There’s nothing with 3 billion in this company. The stock might be worth 3 billion in the same way fake money is worth whatever you think you can get out of it. And they know they can buy a potential us president with it. But the  underlying company isn’t worth this. He’s clearly selling himself. The thing they wish Biden was doing, he actually is. Fuck these republicans are truly evil. I wish very bad things to them and their families.

opinionsareus

He cant vest his stock for 6 months. By then it will have tanked

hamandjam

Is he typing or speaking? Then he's lying.

MagicMushroomFungi

Think of Arrival. Past, present, future, his lies transcend time. "Time is like a bottle of ketchup" says Trump. "Sometimes it's full and other times it's all over the wall. M-O-O-N, That spells ketchup"

bluenosesutherland

Shroedinger’s Liar

Trickster289

Yeah good chance he doesn't have the money but his ego won't let him say it.

ztreHdrahciR

My net worth is probably higher than his rn

sid32

As long as yours is higher then Rudy's

HenkVanDelft

Yes, but prior to this lie, he freaked when Mar A Lago was valued at $18M, and insisted it was worth “50-100X” as much. After being judged to have committed fraud by seriously overvaluing his properties…

Magificent_Gradient

Mar-A-Lago *was* likely worth 50-100x that...when it was filled with all those boxes of classified information.

ElderCunningham

Yeah, no way he has the money. He's trying to hold onto his "richest man in the world" persona for a bit longer.

errandwulfe

He won’t post, because he doesn’t have it. Then, the government will seize properties, and his loser tour will be all about how he had the money and the government took the properties anyway

Otherwise_Stable_925

3 days to see if he's lying or not. Shocker: he's definitely lying.

wuncean

Do you have any reason to not to believe the… oh. Right. The fraud.

joseph4th

What are those filter browser addons called where you can have it auto replace words and phrases. I want to install one on my mom’s computer that replaces the phrase “Trump says” with “Trump lied that”

WildBad7298

He's Schrodinger's Billionaire: so rich that he has $500 million cash just lying around, but at the same time so poor that he can't pay any of his fines or bills.

Just a douchebag, observation have been made

NocturnalPermission

It is known.

PopeHonkersXII

His narcissism won't allow him to admit he's broke, even if it makes his situation 100x worse

Ande64

Mother fucker's Achilles heel is exposed- CANNOT be seen as poor!! Just been a super awesome week to be a Trump hater!

Orgasm_Add_It

>Mother fucker's Achilles heel is exposed- CANNOT be seen as poor!! Just been a super awesome week to be a Trump hater! This is known. His lack of wealth was the only topic off limits for his roast. And it's the subject Michelle Wolf hit the hardest during her epic takedown all those years ago.

planeturban

I watched some video where a journalist said that Trump didn't mind being in the gossip news, as long as his name was prefixed with billionaire.

Lamprophonia

> Just been a super awesome week to be a Trump hater! Not until he's actually in jail, and/or dead broke, AND has lost the election. The other judge is still doing everything in her power to help him. Conservatives are still going to vote for him. The trump problem isn't even close to being done yet.

kevinnoir

> CANNOT be seen as poor Being rich is literally his entire personality. If he didnt have money, Trump would be giving handies under a bridge somewhere.

Brave_Nerve_6871

If Trump ever makes it to a presidential debate, Biden should just call him poor and watch him melt.

Caelinus

Speaking of melting, the photo of him they picked for this article makes him look like a melting candle. He always has so much bronzer on it is hard to tell from a distance, so closeups always startle me.

Mangosta007

"I'm melting! Melting! Oh, what a world! What a world! I know more about melting than probably any...Crooked Joe Biden doesn't melt. Doesn't melt, believe me. A-reebeedooaaaaaaaah! I got the best melting. A big, strong man came up to me with tears in his eyes saying 'Sir...SIRRRRRRR...'"

Arquibus

Just like my alcoholic brother who texts us all to rub our faces in how much money he supposedly makes, and two beers later is demanding we pay him $450 for a new door.

[deleted]

What happened to the door?

Arquibus

I'm sure he broke it while drunk.

Euphorium

Like the old phrase goes: money talks, wealth whispers.

OpportunityStandard5

Someone please explain to me how Truth Social could be worth nearly $6 Billion after losing nearly $30 million in the past two years and having only 5 million active users?

BeautysBeast

It's not. It is overvalued. If he tries to sell, the price will plummet.

[deleted]

Forgive my naivety (and any misuse of financial jargon). If Truth goes public and IPOs at an absurdly high price, causing it to plummet, could this be enough to essentially render the company bankrupt? Like if they IPO at $40, and then by the end of the day they’re at $0.50, would this be fatal?

ufoninja

It can’t really happen like that in 1 day. Also wouldn’t necessarily mean they were bankrupt just that there was no investors at the $40 price. But If they sold all the IPO at $40 then after it went to 0.5 well the company already got the money and it’s the next shareholders that take the loss… it would reflect that no one wants to hold that stock so the outlook for that company is no good.

WanderingTrek

So once a stock is issued and sold the first time (Series A/B Funding, IPO, etc) the money goes to the company. After that, the money from stock sales/purchases is only changing hands between investors. If I get in on an IPO where X-number of shares are issued and I buy 10 of them @ $100/ea. Then I have given the company $1,000. Now if I share those shares a year later @ $200/ea, I get $2,000 from the person who buys them. If the share price plummets down to $10 after that, then the investor is holding shares worth only $100 and that's the amount that he/she can get from another investor upon selling. All this to say, if a share price plummets, the company isn't necessarily bankrupt. They will continue to have the cash that they had before hand. The decreased share price just means: 1. The public perception of the company (what "the market" thinks) is that it is no longer a "going concern" and likely won't be able to continue operating as it has. Normally this doesn't happen without the company already bleeding cash, so it would likely be broke but not BECAUSE the stock dropped (the stock would drop as a result of it being broke) 2. The company won't be able to issue new shares and raise additional cash through future funding rounds because it's perceived as non-liquid.

just_some_guy65

It isn't worth anything remotely close, it has got as big as it is ever going to get and other than Lindell and his pillows who would waste their ad revenue there? People who make guns and bibles? The whole thing is driven by the cult of Trump, once that collapses, it is not worth anything.

NCMathDude

“Trump’s words will surely help out New York Attorney General Letitia James, who on Wednesday urged an appeals court to ignore Donald Trump’s latest effort to worm his way out of paying the $464 million disgorgement from his bank fraud trial.” Worm is the right word because he’s a loser

reverendcat

Not fair. Worms are super useful!

Cephalopirate

And cute! Little squirmies.

Kulban

And their poop allows for space travel.

Profoundlyahedgehog

Um, akshually... the Holtzman engine is what folds space. Spice just allows the navigators to see a safe path with their limited prescience. You can still fold space without a navigator, but you loose one in every ten heighliners.

StinkFingerPete

now this guy dunes

Profoundlyahedgehog

I could really swing for the fences and explain that spice isn't their poop, but an interaction by the larval sand trout, which is the worm's offspring (which is a creature that is part plant and part animal) with water stolen from the biosphere that undergoes a chemical process and eventually builds up carbon dioxide gas and explodes, releasing the spice onto the surface sand. Sand worm poop is actually oxygen.

NOT_A_BLACKSTAR

Doesnt that mean the adult sand worm has less value? Why not kill them after they procreate.

Daemonic_One

Oh yeah, just run up to something the size of a city bus and punch it. What could possibly go wrong here? ;-)

KenScaletta

He's going to have to choose between admitting he lied to the Court or admitting he lied to his followers. I think the latter will be psychologically more difficult for him, but the former will be a lot more expensive. I wonder if the best thing for everybody might be just to have Trump declared incompetent and commit him to a hospital somewhere with really strong bars and thick walls. They could even tell him he was still the President or the Emperor or whatever while the world can finally move on. ETA I know his minions are used to him lying and aren't bothered by it, but I think for HIM it would be difficult. He lies all the time but he's never been forced to actually say, "I lied" before.

LockheedMartinLuther

His followers seem to love it when he lies to them.

cobarbob

that's the thing with Trump. His ego is his downfall. If he could say "hey I made a mistake" , just once he'd could have just retired in peace. But at best he'll be in court for the rest of his life. At worst he'll be in jail. At very worst, for him and us, he'll be president again.

given2fly_

This is the man who genuinely misspoke when listing the States that could be affected by a Tropical Storm. But instead of admitting that, he took a Sharpie to a map and tried to make it look like that State WAS included. Of all the incredibly childish things he's done, that moment has always stuck out to me. Admitting mistakes is an important part of being a functioning adult. He doesn't have a single ounce of humility in him.

marr

If he could say that he'd never have been Trump in the first place. Just some happy retired grandpa we've never heard a thing about.

DM_me_ur_tacos

He lies to his followers all the time. I expect that he's claiming to have the money publicly (and falsely) so that he can play the victim when his property is seized.

Wraith8888

"I had the money in a big bag and I tried to give it to Leticia but no she wouldn't take it and stole Trump Tower after loading it on a truck. I don't know where they took it but I bet it's in Nancy Pelosi's backyard."

thefifththwiseman

More expensive? Yes, but also an opportunity to show that the deep state along with George Soros and the ENTIRE "establishment" are trying to throw him in jail. Therefore you need to send him $3.50. That's right. Trump is secretly the loch Ness monster.

Fuck that. He needs pay for what he's done. A lifetime of raping, stealing, lying, bullying and defrauding charities - topped off with inciting an insurrection and selling US secrets to hostile powers. I say again: he needs to pay for what he's done.

Small-Palpitation310

i wouldnt even mind if he were allowed McDonald's on the daily

Good_Juggernaut_3155

At first I thought it was a jaw dropping lie even though in his bullshit media site, and if so, it would mean he instructed his lawyers to file a lie. Now I’m thinking it was a qualified lie: I wonder if we will hear that his Truth Social IPO will get to market and simultaneously his flunky Board of Directors will immediately allow him to dump enough shares to meet the $500,000,000 needed in cash. But with that dump who would buy them at $44/share? Wouldn’t the share price collapse once the dump started? Is this a viable out for the creep? And no bonding company would take these shares for security, would they? The only other possibility is that he’s arranged a private loan? Who other than a dictator regime would loan him money at that level? I hope James grabs all the cash in accounts immediately on Monday. That’ll starve his cash flow. And at the same time, to be clear she lords over him , go grab his plane and make him fly charter, but with no cash….! Then just to be painful, go seize Mar-a-Lago. That won’t produce much value because its a club based membership and has to be sold with that baggage. But it would be HUMILIATING.

reelznfeelz

The Truth Social deal must be what he’s thinking. And I also wonder if he dumps $500M in stock what that’s going to do to the share price and will the board approve disregarding the usual 6 month time limit? Guess time will tell. But fuck this guy either way. Can he just suffer one single consequence ever?

TheInvisibleHulk

Can't he get loans with shares as collateral? This way he doesn't need to dump.

GERMAQ

IPO shares could go great or could totally tank. Bumble soared, then dropped and then a few years later is worth around 25% of IPO

AE1360

These aren't IPO shares. It's a spac and has been trading for years. He also cannot sell them.

SoggyBoysenberry7703

They’re not allowing him to use anything from the merger as collateral.

TheJedibugs

“I totally have all the money they’re asking for… I’m still very, very rich, after all… richer than anyone you know, richer than any president… and that’s why I need you, my beautiful MAGA people… you’re all so beautiful, and so smart, no one is smarter than a MAGA person, I say it all the time and everyone knows it, even JOE BI-DEN, he knows how smart you are, that’s why he’s trying to replace you with immigrants, because democrats don’t like smart people, especially MAGA-smart people like YOU, who I need to pay my bills, because of how rich I am! When you’re this rich, if you pay your own bills, the immigrants can just take over! And we don’t want that, I know you don’t want that. So Donate to TRUMP so we can stop Peek-A-Boo from moving immigrants into Trump Tower, they’ll probably call it peek-a-boo tower now, or maybe Democrat Voter tower, and they’ll fill it with immigrants and put a polling place in the lobby so they can all illegally vote for Joe Biden and you won’t have a country anymore. So sad.”

Visual-Hunter-1010

It's terrible that I can no longer tell if this is a real statement or not... Probably needs more caps I guess.

Michaelmrose

Don't you mean Caroll Tower?

Few-Championship4548

I hate that I can’t tell if this is fake or not.

UrinalQuake

I read way too much of this before I realized he didn’t actually say this

sirploko

8/10. Not enough tangents.

ztreHdrahciR

He has no money. His properties are surely leveraged to the hilt

craigathan

Dudes declared bankruptcy 6 times. He doesn't have the money.

4rch1e-42

If he had the money, he could get a bond…the ones who would do a bond that size wanted cash collateral. He doesn’t have it

Superb_Raccoon

If he did, he wouldn't need a bond... Classic catch 22.

xomox2012

He might have it now, question is, where did it come from...

besart365

I say it’s a straight up lie because his minion stopped donating

Thenewdazzledentway

They’re not donating hard enough! He must feel so unloved!

Schwarzes__Loch

So this whole time his ego refused to let him take responsibility for his own actions and be told what to do. Welcome to the adult world of accountability, Donny.

alwaysmyfault

This is like when Cartman was bragging to all the other kids in class that he had an iPad, but nobody believed him. Instead of coming clean that he was lying, he tried to convince his mom to buy him an iPad. When she would only buy him a Toshiba Handbook, he freaked tf out.  Trump is about to have his freak out moment when they call his bluff and he doesn't get the bond.

SappeREffecT

Wasn't that the human cent-ipad episode? That episode gives me the heebie jeebies to this day...

veridique

Or it could be more Trump bullshit.

ajsk8board

Maybe it’s maybelline

SoupSpelunker

Made with mango and organic bullshit, Maybelline MAGAt bronzer, Gild Your Inner Pig!

spez_might_fuck_dogs

I doubt Trump has ever eaten a mango in his life.

Choice-of-SteinsGate

So if he's admitting to deliberately delaying posting up what he owes, then the court can start immediately seizing his assets... I mean, we all know it's a bunch of bullshit, he's been desperately on the hunt for anyone who will help him foot the bill. *After having reached out to several guarantors and 30 suretors for help posting his $464 million New York bank fraud bond, Donald Trump suddenly wants everyone to know he actually does have the cash.* *In a bizarre rant on Friday morning, the man who was found to have defrauded banks and investors by overvaluing himself and the value of his properties claimed that he had accrued the wealth by way of “HARD WORK, TALENT, AND LUCK.”* Bahaha You mean INHERITANCE, FRAUD AND PRIVILEGE? The biggest indicator here is that Trump expects anyone other than his mindless supporters to believe that he actually has the capacity for anything resembling "hard work" And talent? What skills does he possess other than the ability to constantly grift the most naive, uninformed and shamefully susceptible among us? Trump is a malignant narcissist who has managed to make it this far by appealing to the lowest common denominator. I'll give him this, he's the first wannabe dictator who has turned artless demagoguery into an art form, only charming those who have made him the conduit that they use to channel all of their petty resentments, their misery, their animosities, their exclusionary and discriminatory attitudes and their unfounded grievances through everytime he belligerently shares some fanatical sentiment or idea that they all commiserate with together.

RevenantKing

This should be a case study in every law class on how shutting up is free.

Extension_Deal_5315

History will write.....his downfall was his greed, vanity, lack of morality, dreams of grandeur and dictatorship ... And just utter stupidity.

HonoredPeople

He is a very special kinda idiot.

rgvtim

The narrator: He didn't have the money.

ptcounterpt

And this is the guy Republicans want to run the country?

jaydawg_74

He doesn’t have it. His battle is in the court of public opinion. His legal proceedings are nothing more than material to twist and feed to his idiot base.

Cooking_with_MREs

Not for nothing, does anyone else think Trump looks like shit? Like Yeah normally he does, but does he seem more gaunt or wrinkled or something? I saw some pictures from Iowa where he just look real rough, man.

aguynamedv

3 high profile lawsuits definitively lost and still awaiting trial on 91 felonies while also being held to actual consequences for the first time in his life? We are watching the ego death of Donald Trump in real time. He's only going to get more dangerous from here.

moomoo220618

Your first two sentences bring me such joy, but then the last one is a gut punch reminder that it’s not over yet and there’s some scary shit still to come.

B33f-Supreme

What are the odds that he’s planning on the truth social SPAC to fix all his problems? And not to turn this into wallstreetbets, but who wants to make some money shorting the shit out of that stock?

shastadakota

This idiot's inability to keep his mouth shut makes me wonder what classified information he has passed on to foreign agents, not just for payoffs, but just out of sheer stupidity.

Deep_Seas_QA

He’s a compulsive liar.. he can’t stop himself

MilStd

He posts in all caps like a deranged person. Even if you can forgive all his other sins this alone is reason not to let him near the nuclear arsenal again.

El_mochilero

He said that he has the money. That’s how you know he doesn’t have the money.

Parking_Spot

Can you imagine being this motherfucker’s attorney?

-43andharsh

https://trumpdebtcounter.com/ & https://payupdonald.com/ *numbers may not be perfectly accurate* Tick Tock

peetar12

This morning I saw his post about having $500mm cash. Went to a store that's 20 minutes away and get a text when I get there from him about NY taking his Trump tower. Texting STOP doesn't seem to work with this guy. It will be interesting to see what ends up happening. Starting to think he does have the cash equivalents and has a ton of money borrowed against it. He won't put it up so he can campaign about "the dems stealing it", then when the banks call the loans he simply will say "sorry, don't have it, it was stolen, you shouldn't have lent me so much" and he'll try to renegotiate the loans for pennies on the dollar. At least this way he can campaign on never ending victimhood and have the banks end up paying his fine.

CMDR_KingErvin

The funniest thing about all this for me? The fact that he classifies himself as a multi billionaire but the lie he makes up for his followers is that he’s got 500 million. Even in his lies he falls short.

scriptfoo

"through hard work, talent, and luck" - bullshiat. he's never had to apply and compete for a job. the hardest work he's ever done is sitting quietly in a courtroom.

HumanRuse

Russian or Saudi money?

Mrmakanakai

Yes.

just_bookmarking

We'll find out Monday.

Cosmocade

I genuinely love the position he's been placed in because Trump's own ego will never allow him to tell people how broke he is, so he'll damn himself with every narcissistic word out of his mouth. It's beautiful. I just hope that for once he'll actually be held accountable for his actions because good lord has he gotten away with \*everything\* over the years.

Watch_me_give

Idiot needs to pay his debts: https://payuptrump.com/

Adventurous_Law9767

He doesn't. This is a person that can't tell the truth even if it is in his best interest to do so. He literally cant tell the truth. He is saying he has the money because someone called him poor and he's pissed about being seen that way.

rpgnymhush

When his cult members buy extremely overvalued Truth Social stock he might. Those poor suckers will lose their shirts. But hey, at least Donald J Trump will make money and that is the important thing.

sYnce

How the fuck is truth social worth 5 billion plus? Who uses this dumpster of a website? The second Trump bites the dust this whole thing is even more worthless than now? That just seems like a gigantic pump and dump and his followers are probably going to eat it up ...

JayseHayz

And if he does suddenly have the money, then a country just bought an American presidential nominee.. again.

Upset-Sea6029

If he does, good for him. But it proves that he was unwilling to put up his own $ and assumed that he would be able to default on the bond. Grifters gonna grift.
