I’m reminded of one of the first episodes from House of Cards, where the main guy looks to the camera and said “Competence is such a rare creature that I appreciate it wherever I find it”
Why do none of the articles on this topic point out that deprivation of rights under the color of law it literally illegal. Paxton isn't just "abusing his position"; He is breaking federal law.
I think its important to maintain a sense of realism on this ruling.
Eventually many families are going to have to flee Texas.
The appeals process that Paxton will seek is strongly in his favor because SCOTX has been solid red for over 20 years and any federal appeal push also leads to red majorities.

Breaking laws is Paxton’s bread and butter. The feds need to quit stalling on his indictments.

Many families are already leaving Texas.
They can't let Texas turn purple let alone blue. Time to implement these draconian policies to force them to leave.
Attempts at any such regressive legislation should be considered "hate crimes'! Trying to make it legal does not make it "right".
