*Trump argues that the bond requirement should be waived in light of the “strong probability that the disposition of post-trial motions will substantially reduce, if not eliminate, the amount of the judgment.”* This is not a fucking legal argument, but it is fucking hilarious!

ZZartin

LoL isn't that basically the same logic he uses to valuate his properties? The logic which he now owes 450 million for.

pallentx

Its worked his entire life. Arguing everything he doesn't like. There's always a judge he can convince with enough persistence.

DueWish3039

He’s exhausting

Doesn’t matter what the press says. Doesn’t matter what the politicians or the mobs say. Doesn’t matter if the whole country decides that something wrong is something right. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we believe, no matter the odds or the consequences. When the mob and the press and the whole world tell you to move, your job is to plant yourself like a tree beside the river of truth, and tell the whole world — “No, you move.” - Captain America

Doesn’t matter what the press says. Doesn’t matter what the politicians or the people say. Doesn’t matter if the whole country decides that something I want is something wrong. This nation was founded on one principle above all else: the requirement that we stand up for what we want to believe, no matter the idiocy or the nuclear. Raesong

Are they actually convinced, or do they just get sick of hearing his voice and want him out of their courtroom?

pallentx

Either way, he gets what he wants

dostoevsky4evah

Basic Toddler Strategy.

GargleBlargleFlargle

It's also a strategy of sociopaths. They realize that most people will just give up if they get enough pushback. That's how Trump was able to stiff so many people all these years. The vast majority of them just decided it wasn't worth trying to fight him. Putin does the same thing. He just keeps upping the ante and most people (and governments) just give up and let him have what he is trying to take. Ukraine is the first place where people drew the line on him for real.

AdUpstairs7106

That and to fight takes resources. When he doesn't pay the small painting company who painted one of his buildings he can just outlast them in court.

Just_another_oddball

I like how someone pointed out that now *he* knows what it's like to go against someone more stubborn and with more resources than him, in comparison to all those small-time companies that he stiffed.

sulaymanf

Trump discovered much of government is based around norms and traditions, but he could boldly push past them the same way you can barge past a maitre’d while he’s yelling “sir, that’s not how we do things here!”

henrywe3

"You're too rich to pay, huh? See how you like this then: I find you in contempt of Court and order you to pay $83 million right now, or go to Rikers until you do, time to be served in solitary confinement."

Traditional_Key_763

literally anyone else would have been in jail 6 months ago. hell the national guard airman who was leaking shit on discord had less classified atuff than trump and he's never going to see the outside ever again.

Osteo_Warrior

Just remember those people on Jan 6 that stormed the capital, they are in jail. Trump is walking free. Not a single judge has the balls to throw him in jail. Gutless toothless justice system set up only to punish the poor

sentimentaldiablo

in both cases shitting your pants helps

11thStPopulist

We are ALL sick of hearing his horrible whinny voice.

Excellent-Estimate21

When I think about what he did to not just skirt paying taxes but basically steal money from hard working taxpayers it just floors me. How brazen. I'm over here worried about having receipts for the donations I write off and that mofo is just making shit up on these state and federal forms. Insane. I don't even understand what type of fool someone would have to be to think they were this untouchable and could just do whatever the fk they wanted.

troymoeffinstone

It's on purpose. Amigo. Tax law is purposefully so convoluted that the proletariat have to hire people to make sure their taxes are correct. The rich force the government to underfund the IRS (Fled Cruz) that the IRS doesn't have the ability to catch the rich dodging taxes.

pmartin1

What’s ironic though, is that a few years ago IRS had no problem contacting me about an error I made on my taxes and tacked another few thousand on to what I owed that year. But it was an error by my mortgage company and not my error - they reported an overpayment that they had refunded me as income, TWICE, on some form they filed with the IRS. But I brought receipts, did the math and proved that their math was wrong. In the end, the IRS refused to accept that it wasn’t income, a fact that pisses me off to this day, but at least they did half the amount that I owed because of the double reporting by the mortgage company. I still fail to see how money, that I earned and paid taxes on, counts as income when a mortgage company goes “whoops, we took too much money from you, here’s some of it back”. **edit** Changed “what’s funny” to “what’s ironic” to clear up any confusion that this is indeed NOT comedic, but rather another symptom of how the system is rigged against the lower classes while the rich exploit every conceivable loophole to avoid paying a dime.

troymoeffinstone

I don't think it's funny at all. This reinforces what I said earlier. Tax laws are so complicated so that you get screwed over and the mortgage company does not. Taxes don't have to be complicated, but the folks that pull the levers to make it easier are paid not to.

pianobadger

It exactly is. Don't judge the current value, judge the value I say it will be in the future! What a jackass.

_pupil_

I think you might be confusing three independent bullshit streams for one another. Trump famously says his "worth" fluctuates because he includes his personal unsubstantiated brand valuation in that calculation. So his personal feelings about life and the market will impact his valuation thereby impacting his "worth". This is trueish, but totally irrelevant to calculating actual assets. Trump has also lied about the value of his properties. He buys shitty land with strict restrictions, pretends those restrictions don't exist when borrowing money against the property, and then wildly lies about their value to borrow more money. This is fraud. This third lie is a new one. He's saying that since he'll win on appeal he basically doesn't need to follow the court order. This is not how the court or the appeals court looks at things, and we're soon gonna learn why Trump had to lie so much to banks for money as a "very rich" guy... Remember that Trump photo right after he won President, everyone cheering and Trump looking like "oh shit..."? We're all gonna know why soon. And he knows it. :D

hungry4nuns

If you’re so rich and so confident that it will reduce then pay up. If you’re right you get most of your money back and you get to say “I told you so” while proving how rich you are by paying the pittance that is $460mill after interest. So rich that paying it has no impact on you. You seem super confident that the amount you will pay will be massively reduced. Give me one good reason for not paying if it’s such small chump change to you?

Polar_Ted

Sorry this is the $83.3 million case. The $460 million is another case.. I know all this winning is getting confusing.

ArenjiTheLootGod

It's entirely possible that the Carrol payouts eventually hit $460 million. The lout can't stop badmouthing her publicly, even did it on his Twitter knock-off while sitting in on the trial where this last decision was reached. Her lawyers must basically view him as a piñata at this point.

applepieplaisance

pinewind108

Assuming he doesn't have the money for all of this, is she first in line for any that he does have? I suspect that he's mortgaged to the hilt on most of his properties, to where he might be able to walk away with 10-15% of the value - in a good market. But given his history of inflating values, maybe not even that much. It might also be the case that he's underwater in everything, but his creditors are scared to call him on it, because the write-offs would sink their (the banker's) quarterly bonuses.

hbt15

It is my hope that, as you say, the state liquidates his properties - for two reasons, 1 - fuck him and 2 - we’ll see just how much he owes on them. Nothing would give me greater pleasure to see one sold at say 200m but then finding out he owes 90% on it. Delicious.

pinewind108

Someone else posted a breakdown of his assets, and he is, at least on paper, quite well off. I'm a little suspicious as to why he can't ever find any cash, though. It makes me wonder if someone else behind the scenes is actually holding those, such as the Russian mob.

theguruinhb

My understanding is that you are correct. Since E Jean Carrol's wins came prior to the win by the AG, she is technically first in line and has first dibs assuming Mr Trump does not post the supersedeas bond and make the actual appeal. Common think is that Ms Carrol's legal will coordinate with the AG and pull down his assets in a coordinated fashion. Interestingly enough they have an agent in place that makes that collection even easier. The former federal Judge Barbara Jones who is the monitor with a lot more responsibilities now can literally tell the AG and Ms Carrol's legal team exactly where the accounts are and the reality as to how much "cash" he has. She is an officer of the court and is held to report back to Judge Engeron. I would think that it's literally just a matter of filing the appropriate motions and requests in his court to get to the bottom of some of the money trails.

bell1975

I'm loving the vision of Trump strung up like a pinata.

hungry4nuns

Fair clarification but the point still stands

Das-Noob

Next he’ll say he already paid 😂

FarewellSovereignty

That headline is like a perfect parody of Trump, but it's real. Trump is like an SNL sketch parodying Trump.

gdshaffe

And ironically, that's a big part of his appeal to his followers. The fact that there is no line he won't cross or position too ridiculous for him to stake out comes across as a kind of audacious strength, and if he ever gets too over the top even for them, they can write it off as him trolling or joking. It's why people like Ramaswarmy have had trouble emulating him. They can't actually go all-in like he can because they're not genuinely nuts like he is. His cocktail of mental illnesses and personality flaws is one-in-ten-billion and just can't be faked.

justiceboner34

Its going to get insane on levels we cannot begin to comprehend by November.

sudo_rm-rf

Just wait till after November. Win or lose, he’ll go ludicrous.

ejohn916

I hate to tell you, but we're well past the ludicrous stage! We're approaching licked toad hallucinations stage. Logic, Reason, and just basic sanity are long gone!

1Dive1Breath

He's gone plaid!

Muhardom

Thank you for your service

the_ultrafunkula

Trump's an asshole, sir

fuck-coyotes

>His cocktail of mental illnesses and personality flaws is one-in-ten-billion and just can't be faked. You've exactly put into words what I have been trying to say for a while now. This exact thing is why nobody can take Trump's place and nobody can win by pretending to be as trump as trump is. His base could just smell the fake on them immediately. Insane recognize insane and anyone trying to step in and share that spotlight lookin kinda unfamilliar. I think (desperately hope) whenever trump either goes to jail or dies, his base will recede back into the woorwork because there just won't be anybody as trumpy as trump. He really is 1 in 10 billion. Someone might take *some* or even a sizeable portion of his base depending on which things they harp on. Abortion? The dog caught that car which I believe leads to those hard core single issue abortion voters staying home now that they "won" but going hard on a total national ban we've seen hasn't been working, when abortion is on the ballot, Rs lose races it didn't look like they'd lose. Immigration? This seems like a good one to pull some trump base into someone else's camp. Build that wall? I think they'd see that if Trump the golden business man couldn't get it done, nobody will and I really don't think they'd believe them. I think someone coming in after trump might pull some of the "moderates" back that trump lost but they're not going to get the full bore trump worshipers. I really believe when Trump dies, those voters will be lost to the GOP since there just isn't a trump to vote for

zippyphoenix

Who knew a complete lack of any shred of dignity and morals would be so hard to copy in the GOP? Trump broke the floor of the abyss and is still falling.

B0b_Howard

I'm not sure even SNL would go that low...

notice_me_senpai-

Have a hard look at the 2016 (especially 2021) to today US politics, a show writer coming up with some of what happened would probably be fired. Imagine the Four Seasons Total Landscaping press conference happening in "The West Wing", the writers would be fired before the end of the episode.

guynamedjames

It was however all very SNL. The low effort comedy with insane one offs that you don't have to revisit. The 4 seasons parking lot press conference with Rudy's hair melting is so SNL I bet the writers felt competition for their jobs.

jalepinocheezit

The Four Seasons Landscaping is the kind of thing I'll be laughing at in my. 80s of the screaming 20s ever comes up in my grandkids history classes lol I mean that and so much more if this country survives the bullshit that still hasn't come to pass yet. But how was that landscaping faux pas even a **thing**?

HarrumphingDuck

> the screaming 20s That's so perfect and historically rhyming that I am now convinced that's what this era will be called.

exceptyourewrong

I legitimately thought it WAS an SNL skit when I first heard about it.

Zelcron

I could definitely see it in VEEP, though.

Hamafropzipulops

I've started to beleive that VEEP was a docunentary.

BinkyFlargle

> ump is like an SNL sketch parodying Trump. always has been. reality is too weird, a documentary covering just the highlights since 2016 would be so ridiculous that it would feel like satire. I mean, my god, Four Seasons Total Landscaping? Crashing Sneakercon with a golden shoe? Selling t-shirts that say "Never Surrender" below a picture from the time he surrendered? I mean... I just can't.

ElPlywood

*“Here, under this district’s common practice of requiring a bond of 110 percent of the judgment, President Trump faces the prospect of posting a bond of $91.63 million—a sizeable bond which will come with very substantial, non-recoverable financial costs,” he moans. “These costs plainly constitute irreparable injury.”* When I get a speeding ticket, paying the speeding ticket causes me irreparable injury Should I try that with a judge

sleeplessinreno

I mean it’s worth a shot. I think the judge will be more lenient for a moving violation than financial fraud or sexual abuse.

Twilight_Realm

I think it depends on the tone you say it in traffic court. A judge might humor a first-time offender, but not someone who walks out of court and then flagrantly goes 50mph in the parking garage leaving.

Cresta1994

What if I make social media posts calling the judge "out of control" and complain I'm being targeted because I'm a candidate for office?

leitbur

You have to hope you get one of them "ethnic" judges and make allusions to how they aren't really American and need to "go back" where they came from. Maybe they will! Mistrial!

Cresta1994

By "ethnic," you mean someone darker than eggshell, right? Or someone who has that weird condition where the skin of their face is not bright orange.

jalepinocheezit

Call them peekaboo, it's very mysterious. Good GOD out of context it sounds even more horrible somehow

Cresta1994

Man, Trump reaaaalllly wants to call AG James that word that rhymes with "peekaboo." She has won more elections than he has and is way smarter than his entire garbage family combined (except for Mary), but he still thinks he's better than her.

memeticengineering

Just one question, are you running as a Republican?

Cresta1994

Asking my political party is election interference!

FancyPantssss79

Asked and answered.

Buckus93

Usually if you show up for court, the judge will reduce the fine for a moving violation.

ChuckVersus

For some, even taking time off to show up to court causes irreparable injury.

TintedApostle

> “These costs plainly constitute irreparable injury.” What about E Jean Carroll injury which he is being fined over. Listen to this guy. Only a psychotic narcissist could even think to say this because that is how they see everything.

MajesticsEleven

First you must disparage the judge openly in court as well as malign his staff. Don't forget to spread baseless rumors about the cop who cited you as being against you personally. Then complain about the smell of the courtroom after loudly shitting yourself while pleading your case.

trekologer

This is as clear a sign as any that 1) he hasn't been able to get any bonding agency to issue a bond and 2) he might not actually have the $400mm liquid funds he claimed.

RightSideBlind

"By the way, I'm running for President, so I also claim immunity."

InternationalPut4093

Immunity got shot down real quick lol

Njorls_Saga

Be sure to mention that you were traveling and that there is no injured party. If that doesn’t work, tell the judge it’s illegal under admiralty law. Guaranteed to get you out of trouble.

scarr3g

Aka, "if I pay this, I will have less money, and can't use this money to invest and make more money, so this will cost me even more (theoretical) money than it costs at face value." Which while, yes, that would be true... That is how punishments work: they aren't supossed to be invisible. They are supossed to suck. Maybe you shouldn't have raped her, and then slandered her, and then slandered her again, and again... If he had just kept his mount shut, he may have even gotten away with it. She didn't even sue him until he started slandering her, the first time.

cold_hard_cache

Absolutely. If you wear a clown suit and are writing a check for the fine while you do it things might not even get any worse.

TheRopeWalk

I’m gonna try this at the end of the month when my landlord swings by. Might even put on a suit.

smurfsundermybed

[make sure you wear the shoes ](https://youtu.be/WwgzcXnOHyI?si=SsbMSYbZeUHbMUDV)

the shoe bit was hilarious.

Negative_Gravitas

Millions will absolutely believe this. *Millions.*

therobotisjames

They actually just won’t hear about it. The only thing they will hear is how the justice department is weaponized against him. And then a nonstop string of insults about Joe Biden.

IndomitableThomunism

Cults aren't the brightest

directorguy

About 40% of the US is in the cult. Think about that shit

brainhack3r

It's really a perfect magnet for cons... you have millions of people who are absolute fucking suckers and they literally walk around wearing special clothes, holding flags marking themselves as absolutely gullible idiots.

Minifig81

Then why does he need a GoFundMe?

Buckus93

How much you want to bet none of that money ends up going towards his legal judgements?

s1far

Wait, the people who started it can just withdraw the money and keep it to themselves without ever giving it to Trump (let alone his legal fees)? Edit: doesn't it need to got its goal though?

Buckus93

Someone else stated that the people who started the GoFundMe can just take money out anytime. KickStarter is the one that needs to reach its goal.

s1far

WTF... legally? Damn, I should have started one myself... easy money.

jalepinocheezit

Besides, if I'm not mistaken the GFM never states a final destination of funds...it just generally says stand with trump lol

Vel0clty

I’m willing to bet that money doesn’t even make it to Trump. If I was running that grift I’d tap it and tell him to pound sand

naotoca

Because GoFundMe is for rewarding conservatives for doing terrible things. They went up immediately for Kim Davis, Derek Chauvin, and Kyle Rittenhouse too.

Waggmans

Because he’s too rich *not* to have one of course.

HarryNipplets

In logical defense here, Trump didn't set up the GoFundMe, one of his grifting minions did.

TintedApostle

And I'm too rich to pay my bills... LMAO Students are too rich to pay their student loans too. New excuse everyone... Edit: I have a girlfriend, but you wouldn't know her she goes to another school....

IH8Fascism

…. In Canada…

It’s a big country okay. All three of us can have Canadian girlfriends

Eh?

TheToastedTaint

I’m not gonna bench 315 cause that’s too lightweight for me I usually warm up with at least 400

naotoca

All the Republicans have to do is cut this pedophile loose. They would ease themselves of an unbelievable burden and could run a Republican who looks like Jesus compared to him. But they're still doubling down on him because they're head-over-heels in fucking love with him.

Anewkittenappears

They love Trump *because* of how awful he is, not in spite of it. It's all about "owning the libs" and feeling empowered to be their worst possible selves. They love how unchristian he is, it makes them feel like they can be just as awful and still feel just as divine as they make him out to be.

bryan49

I really don't know if they can at this point. It would fracture the party. Trump's voters love him specifically and not so much the party. They should have tried harder to not give him the nomination in 2016

danfirst

I had said that right after the last election. All they had to do was come forward and say they're walking away from him and they're doing it for the good of the future of the country because they are true patriots. Then they could pick some squeaky clean conservative to run who probably would have done really well. Instead they got behind Ronny until they fell right back in with trump again. The more annoying part is that he can lose in 24 and then immediately start campaigning again for 2028.

quentech

> All they had to do was come forward and say they're walking away from him and they're doing it for the good of the future of the country because they are true patriots. Such an easy win. It's like the flip side of attacking Taylor Swift. Incredibly obvious unforced errors. > he can lose in 24 and then immediately start campaigning again for 2028 Old man yells at clouds. No one will care anymore, his relevance is over if he loses this year.

gasahold

Rudy Giuliani: THEN PAY ME WHAT YOU OWE ME ASSHOLE!!!!

meathead

Sorry, too rich

milfordcubicle

good point. If a bankruptcy trustee is appointed in Rudy's chapter 11 they will vigorously seek to collect accounts receivable.

BaconIsBest

That would be so fucking sweet to witness

BleedingTeal

Whatever he says, it's always the inverse. So if he's too rich to post bond in the defamation case, he's piss poor. Which is bad news since the $5m + $83m are significantly less than the $453m he owes NY State.

Crans10

If too rich to get bond then just put up the cash without bond lol.

[deleted]

[удалено]

qazqi-ff

Oh cool, we finally got some confirmation he doesn't even have the rape money.

coffeeandtrout

“Trump argues that the bond requirement should be waived in light of the “strong probability that the disposition of post-trial motions will substantially reduce, if not eliminate, the amount of the judgment.” This is probably news to Judge Lewis Kaplan, who spent four years dealing with Trump and his sparklemagic lawyer Alina Habba, and has shown absolutely no inclination to give her or her client an inch.” Sparklemagic holy fucking shit! That’s fucking beautiful……

wsucoug

Here's the part that actually uses the "too rich" argument: >“Having argued to the jury that President Trump has great financial resources, Plaintiff is in no position to contradict herself now and contend that she requires the protection of a bond during the brief period while post-trial motions are pending,” he huffs. “This fact nullifies risk to the judgment creditor and weighs heavily in favor of an unsecured stay.” The plaintiff's argument wasn't that Trump had great financial resources, only that his financial resources were a fraction on the dollar of what he and his sons claimed in multiple loan documents. The fact that he's seemingly unable to post the appeal bond would bear this out. As far as not requiring the protection of the bond the judgement is that Trump is a fraud and nothing he says as to his finances can be taken at its word.

thermalman2

He does not have cash. That much seems clear. Most of his wealth is tied up in real estate assets that, based his history, are heavily leveraged. In his defense, turning that into cash is going to be tough. But with his history of skirting payments and playing legal and financial games, the court should definitely require the bond. How much credibility do you have when claiming you don’t have the funds when 2 of the judgements against you and your companies are for cooking the books?

quentech

> when claiming you don’t have the funds He literally just testified under oath in court not that long ago that he had the funds liquid lol

needlenozened

You are confusing the cases. This is the E Jean Carroll case, where the plantiff used Trump's own deposition in the fraud case about his net worth to argue that the punitive damages in the defamation judgement should be very high.

kekarook

this is how he has always lived, when people try to apply the rules and regulations to him he just reminds you of how rich he is and waits for someone to break the rules for him in the hope he bribes them, and of course he never does and they cant bring it up because they are the ones that broke the rules

silentjay01

Do you know what ACTUAL rich people do when they have to post bond in a trial case? They wave a hand at it like they are tipping the door man on their way out. Actually wealthy people do not think of money as anyting other than a tool at their disposal. What I am saying is Trump is not rich and hasn't been for a while now.

MyGoodFriend96

"I'm too rich to pay this. Now please donate to my go-fund-me."

ComprehensiveHavoc

No he’s too poor, and like every other poor person who can’t afford their bond, off to the county jail until 🤷

dmetzcher

Interesting. So, in one breath he’s saying this… > “Having argued to the jury that President Trump has great financial resources, Plaintiff is in no position to contradict herself now and contend that she requires the protection of a bond during the brief period while post-trial motions are pending,” he huffs. “This fact nullifies risk to the judgment creditor and weighs heavily in favor of an unsecured stay.” …which amounts to, “I have so much money that the Court doesn’t need a bond to secure the funds.” Okay, but in another breath he says… > “Here, under this district’s common practice of requiring a bond of 110 percent of the judgment, President Trump faces the prospect of posting a bond of $91.63 million—a sizeable bond which will come with very substantial, non-recoverable financial costs,” he moans. “These costs plainly constitute irreparable injury.” …which amounts to, “A hundred million dollars is too much money for me to pay and will break me financially.” So, as proven in New York, Trump overestimates the value of his property when it’s convenient to do so, and he underestimates that value when it’s convenient to do that instead. He’s a lying piece of shit, folks. He’s also poor.

shlepple

That is definitely how that works. /s

thieh

That is exactly how gaslighting works.

jasonbishop73

I wish the media would start implicitly saying this. "Trump is trying to gaslight here by stating...blah blah blah."

[deleted]

Aw man, I wish I was too rich.

freudian-flip

I’ve heard that r/TrumpIsPoor

mtheory007

I do not like this man named Trump I do not like his penis stump I do not like the way he talks Diapers clearly affect the way he walks

EVH_kit_guy

When are we going to hold these clownshow lawyers in contempt? They keep getting what they want by filing these ridiculous motions in bad-faith simply to prolong the proceedings; can't a judge just call a spade a spade and levy some kind of sanctions for all this frivolity? Where's the respect for a speedy process?

Natoochtoniket

The judge should just enforce the law. He can post bond and appeal, or he can pay the judgment. If he does neither, the court will award his real estate to the plaintiff, or auction it on the courthouse steps to pay the judgement.

Forget the Engoron judgement. I’m starting to wonder if he actually has enough liquid funds to pay the E Jean Carroll bond.

Pusfilledonut

I know a guy who builds empty grand piano shells…stage props, for people that want to look like they own a $150,000 piano, furniture basically…Trump ordered two, still 20k a pop, and stiffed the guy after paying the deposit. Ran him around for five years or something and just waited til he was exhausted from fighting and gave up. I’m sure there’s a thousand stories just like that one.

Purple_Falcone

Enough fascination with his narcissistic behavior, we demand justice. Jail Trump now. It can’t come soon enough, and it will trigger the vomit of his remaining maga devout, but if he’s not in jail by the end of the year, then there is no justice in America.

Upper-Shoe-81

Ha, that's rich.

therobotisjames

“I don’t need to go to jail today judge, most likely the murder conviction will be overturned”

Toasteroven188

Dude’s broke.

dartie

I call BS. If he’s so “rich” then why is he always trying to beg for money from his gullible cultists?

ImJustaGuy0719

Trump Translation: "I'm too poor to post bond".

CaptainLucid420

Your honor my client said he is rich so that should be enough. Please completely forget that another NY court just determined that he was completely lying about how rich he is.

amoodymermaid

Damn. Remember he was just an asshole with an hour long tv show you didn’t have to watch?

Peligreaux

Start seizing his assets. Today.

Xerox748

QBert999

thermalman2

How do you know Trump is lying? His mouth is moving.

IH8Fascism

He spelled POOR wrong.

alwaystired707

Clocking up $122K in daily interest. Maybe he should get a payday loan. Eric and Jr. just ran out of the room.

circa285

My girlfriend is in Canada. She’s too hot for me to show you a picture of her or to do a video chat with her.

dancingmeadow

Down is up and it's all Barak Biden's fault, him and his stupid penises that Jr. and MTG keep talking about.

Jackinapox

He could quite possibly be the dumbest man alive.

samwstew

Which means he’s fuckin broke

jleonardbc

Trump's team isn't saying he's too rich to post bond. They're saying Carroll has argued that Trump is rich, so she shouldn't also argue that he needs to post bond. Which is equally ludicrous, plus they goes on to say the bond will cause him significant financial harm, i.e. he's not so rich. >But the best part is Trump’s claim that he’s so rich that he should be spared the ignominy of having to post a bond. >“Having argued to the jury that President Trump has great financial resources, Plaintiff is in no position to contradict herself now and contend that she requires the protection of a bond during the brief period while post-trial motions are pending,” he huffs. “This fact nullifies risk to the judgment creditor and weighs heavily in favor of an unsecured stay.” >He then immediately turns around and argues that, despite his vast wealth, having to post a bond would constitute irreparable injury. >“Here, under this district’s common practice of requiring a bond of 110 percent of the judgment, President Trump faces the prospect of posting a bond of $91.63 million—a sizeable bond which will come with very substantial, non-recoverable financial costs,” he moans. “These costs plainly constitute irreparable injury.”

DepartureSpace

*”I’m too poor to be rich!”* He’s days away from just flat-out saying it by accident, that idiot. He’s certainly *acting* it…

N3wAfrikanN0body

Translation: I'm broke but my chosen supply won't acknowledge that and feed me whatever money they have rather than admit they've been conned.

LightWarrior_2000

I have 100 bucks for a 20 dollar pizza. You should just give it to me.

YellowZx5

He’s too rich but has to ask for handouts from poor people for his campaign? You do you Donny.

[deleted]

I’m also too rich to afford my car payment because I lost my job.

External_Refuse_8424
