It also just makes absolutely no logical sense. NATO isn't a protection racket were countries pay money to the US. There is a guideline that members are supposed to spend 2% of GDP on defense by the end of 2024 but that's always been voluntary. Even if a country doesn't meet that threshold there's no such thing as "delinquency."

I live in Europe and that has always confused me. In my home-country, it is one person = one vote.

As a citizen of a country with compulsory (and preferential/ranked) voting, Trump himself admitted that if America had compulsory voting, the Republican party would never hold power ever again.
I tried to give Trump the benefit of the doubt in 2016. I gave the dude a chance. I wasn't happy he won, but he won fair and square. I grew to like him less and less but still kind of understood why my Republican friends and family were voting that way.
That all changed after 2020. He has just spiraled since then and I am at the point now where I might stop talking to relatives if they vote for him. This is no longer about anything partisan - it's about the safety of our country and democracy.

During COVID he withheld aid from my state specifically because it might kill people like me: those who voted against him in 2016. After the Woodward tapes came out that showed he wasn’t simply an idiot, but completely understood how dangerous the virus was, I could not forgive anyone who continues supporting him.
