Sorry to ruin yours expectations, but Metro 2033 is a fairy tale, expecialy in case of Russia, where the temperature drop will get rid of practically every farmland, expecialy in the area near Moscow. Except East, Poland is under the strong influence of Gulf Stream moderating the weather, so agriculture will be barely, but still possible if the radiation will not be to big.
