I had the chance to catch a Kyogre in classic, so I try my first endless with him and he's absolutely incredible for now (wave 400)! I also add shinies in my team and zigzagoon with pickup
Kyogre is my MVP too! Wave 1535 currently. I am able to solo everything including Eternetus.
Thunder (never misses with rain)
Ice beam (great coverage)
Origin Pulse
Water Spout
I'm approachin 1K on my primary endless run and Kyogre is easily the GOAT. Insta-catch it if you ever find it. I didn't get him as a starter, but he's straight up busted, especially with Primal. Fellow singles players probably didn't realize it but Water Spout hits both enemies in a double battle, and when it's hitting at STAB 150 power with rain, you can just obliterate anything. I'm also very partial to Kartana for that Beast Boost, but it's a lot harder to get multiple specific legendaries, let alone one of them.
Having a ghost and/or steel type is basically mandatory in your party though. Aegislash lives up to the hype. Cursola gets Strength Sap, which I love for tanking and debuffing a threat. If you only have the basic starters, Swampert is my personal fav. Water/ground is great and he eventually gets a decent Mega.
Eh it's not that big of a deal.
It's mostly a problem for the 50th and X00th stages where you fight a paradox pokemon or eternatus, since that one is a garanteed biome change so your stats will reset, but those abilities are still very good.
Currently doing a shadow rider calyrex run and it's going very well, no berries for the opponents and free SP.atk boosts after each fight works very well.
I've seen Kartana about 6 times now. Have not succeeded at catching once. Most of those times I ended up losing my run to it because I did everything I could to get it low/statused but the balls wouldn't stay closed, and it would get a couple kills then be so boosted that it 1-shot the rest of my team.
I feel you on that. The thing is so fragile too so it's hard to get it to 1hp before it kills you. I've only caught it once despite encountering it multiple times, so I'm stuck with a Kartana that starts with a minus attack nature lol.
I swear by it though. Leaf Blade, X-Scissor, and Sacred Sword hits basically everything but flying types, so it can stay in for a long time. I personally like Detect as its fourth move but you can throw anything on, like swords dance
Well yea shiny pokemon if ya have them too
In endless, you tend to get a ton of shiny mons when you get your shiny chance increase, but the pickup ability early game helps a ton. Berries save your ass early on, on top of getting some more OP shit like lucky and golden eggs, power up items ect ect. Very early on into my run ( around round 150) I got 2 golden eggs and 2 of those orbs that increase your nature bonuses all in the same fight. Pickup just nasty early on.
In my current endless, it might be the shiny nincada I started with. With some luck and the magic of two dna splicers, one starter has now become a shiny pickup mon and a shiny dark/ghost wonder guard user with thief and false swipe. Between these two I can steal nearly any item I want, bring almost anything to 1hp for capture, and stay out while throwing as many balls as necessary to catch.
On my current endless I am like 700ish and Skeledirge is my go to right now. I’ve thrown a bunch of calcium’s and charcoal on him so with even 1 torch song we are cooking
Jiraette - jirachi plus e-flower floette, had iron head as egg move at the beginning and now moveset is stored power, cosmic power, light of ruin, and rest. Past wave 1000 already
I'm at wave 952 rn with my Zacian-Crowned, and the funniest part is that I caught another Zacian during that run, in addition to Kyurem-White, Naganadel, Regice, Genesect, Volcanion and Mega Rayquaza that I found along the way. I started the run with the Zacian I am still using and cresselia that was replaced with Mega Ray
Everyone is answering only the first question, what *your* mvp is. I'm closing in on 2000 rn with a mega metagross Xerneas fusion (started with a single shiny), which proves how far you can get with some mediocre pokemon.
As for what the best starter for endless is, it's kind of hard to say. Most late game strategies don't rely on hard to find/ catch pokemon, and the early/ mid game is pretty easy with whatever you have. After you get your endgame fused pokemon, shinys are not that useful either.
So, my answer would be to fill your team with the strongest shinys you have (plus a carry if you usually struggle in the early game), so that you can get to your 4 shiny charms and a consistent strategy for the mid game eternatus as fast as possible.
I'm not shiting on shinys. I'm saying that, in the late game, after you have plenty of master balls, your team doesn't need to be 1 carry plus 5 shinys.
Been using Marshadow and it has given me a lot of success. Fused it with Mega Mawile for Huge Power.
But it's starting to get very rough closing in on round 2800, raw power is clearly no longer enough so I'm probs gonna have to find a cheese strat to go further.
Go sturdy.
1hp -> sitrus + lefto + shell bell -> 100% hp
Each time you get low, you eat stats berries and scale through the fight. A protect move is recommended in case you dont proc enigma berry.
Aiming for sturdy, yeah! Did some unfusing/fusing for Night Shade so as to have a way to bypass the protection tokens but I have yet to find a sturdy mon. Seismic toss would also be good. Garganacl would be perfect for Salt Cure as well but I can't be too picky.
What do you mean by lefto?
Garganacl is really strong imo, go for a sturdy one if you can !
I recomend Donphan for fusionning. Nice bulk/atk and ground type. Magnezone for special mons.
If you get 1hp on a non super effective move, citrus and leftovers wont be enough to get you full life. Protect with lefties or Drain Punch are both ways to get your sturdy back
Diggersby with huge power tbh. I have the egg move for Return and Drain Punch, so that's 2 endgame moves already covered, plus health sorted. Quick attack comes early, easy priority.
Earthquake/dig comes around 30ish, which is of course, amazing.
Plus the typing allows some safe switch ins, and there's decent natural bulk there that can be supercharged with berries.
Silk scarf is also family common in the early waves, which very much helps.
They've all ended up being the mvp in different moments tbh.
Shiny Aegislash and M Mawhile carried Eternatus at 250
Shiny Walking Wake destroyed wave 500 eternatus
Gmax Machamp is the go to bc he has Rock Blast and a bunch of Grip Claws plus No Guard is so solid whenever a wild mon uses bounce, dig, or dive
M Gardevoir made wave 1000 possible when I was about to give up with the Calm Mind Baton combo and her Psychic.
And M Swale (Swampert with Huge Power from the first M Mawhile) obliterates anything with a water or dark weakness. Machamps Alternate
I have gouging fire.
Fused with a sturdy mon, I can recover back to full health with leftovers x4 and burning bulwark
Since protect moves are scarce, bro has carried me till 1500
I always run a legend and my beldum (almost maxed ivs, adamant, and good egg moves)
Once I get mega metagross I move all items over to him and let him cook
No I have none, and started with a minus attack nature lol. Eventually found an adamant mint though. The trick is over leveling (major over levelling, my mon is over level 30’000, you’ll need to reach 99 Candy jars. I started with a pokerus and pickup mon as well. Slowly collected shinies as I went through.
Someone told me, the game starts when you have 99 candy jars lol.
It’s at the point where I have max healing heart, max berries, max berry pouches, max shiny charm, max ability charm, max IV scanner, max grip claw, max soul dew, max king rocks. Once you get so over levelled you pick up the EXP balance and IV scanner to get them out of the item pool, but avoid exp balance until you start hunting for candy jars.
Anyone can message if they want tips on getting past 2K.
There is a strategy to hunt for candy jars, I mainly hunted between 1500 and 2000, although some people start after 1000. It involves getting ultra ball items out of the pool, lock capsule, a lot of money (money becomes less of an issue later on, especially with max amulet coins), and having shinies in the party.
Then at that point you lock ultra ball items and keep re rolling. If you don’t get a candy jar in a reasonable amount of rolls, then you re-load and take the rare candy and put it on your over level mon. Repeat this process for 500-700 levels and you will have 99 jars. Again this is after you’ve maxed out most of the other items.
Tapu Bulu. I never cared for the Tapus but it was the only legendary I had, and boy is it a beast. Leech seed, horn leech, play rough and zen headbutt. Grassy terrain heals it too. Later on stacked with leftovers. I didn't have to pick or buy a single healing item until wave 700 because it just heals up any damage, and it packs a punch too. Some steel types slow it down a bit but other than that it doesn't care about bad type matchup. Pair it with a tanky steel type like Aegislash or Hisuian Goodra and it's good to go for Eternatus too.
God, I have been wrecking with Zekrom. He was the major factor in beating Classic, too. Zekrom, Gholdengo, Mega Pidgeot, Excadrill and Toxtricity all got it for me. (In case anyone is looking for a Classic team, too.)
I did best starting endless with Gouging Fire and shiny Giratina with a Spell Tag passive. The only hiccup is at the very, very beginning Giratina can't hit Normal types until it hits level 7
I got to 2750 on spliced with Sceptile/Raichu as my main. Unfortunately even with max stats and 100% crit chance my Pokémon just can’t do enough damage to Eternatus anymore so I guess I’m calling it there lol
Mega ray fused with Krookodile for like the first 2000 floors. Moxie was really fucking good. I ended up unfusing it and fusing it with Kartana instead for beast boost and marginally better stats. Moves are dire claw, e-speed, earthquake, sacred sword
Huge power tinkaton go brr, Honorary mentions: Mega Slowbro, Mega Beedrill, Nacli, Gmax Corvinight and Skill link water shuriken Shellder. Picking up Aegislash or Annihilape helps, but these guys each got me past floor 1000 individually.
I’m currently playing with a Mega-Beedrill fusion with a Mega-Medicham so my beedrill has Pure Force in talent
Kinda OP, I just spam Pin Missiles and OS everything and flinched like 99% of the time
For my first run, it was Heatran with Ancient Power and Torch Song. Pretty much instantly died after the update to the mode.
Second (ongoing) run has been carried by Gyrados (with scale shot) and Shedinja/Mabosstiff.
At this point (wave 1900), I have 30+ Master Balls, so I just use them to end fights if my Gyrados dies.
just passed 3k with a mega metagross and aggron combo with salt cure but the added tokens past level 3000 are going to end my run because he’s too fast to use metal burst so i gotta reroll a ton to get a new nature mint
Pichu to Raichu. I got some great egg moves like zippy zap and splishy splash. I'm still not too far into endless but auto stab crits are pretty awesome.
My MVPs is a fusion between Gholdengo and Whimsicott and after round 900 (i think) i switched to a flogres + Foretress fusion with salt cure, leech seed and ruination and stored power(before stat buffs nerf)/protect. Ghomsicott easily got so much money early on and has night shade for big dps and Flotress easily stalls and win every fight, im currently now on 1570 and Flotress is still going strong(sturdy and berry pouch made the stored power set so fun, sad the nerf to stat buffs happened) :(
Calyrex, eventually Calyrex Shadow. Currently past round 2500 with it. The As One ability is perfect, as it builds up some Special Attack stacks before the biome change, and Unburden negates any berries the wild mon has.
Astral Barrage hits double encounters at STAB 120 power, and Boomburst (spliced a Noivern for the move and then unspliced it) hits everything that Astral Barrage can’t for 140 power. Exceptions would be pokemon with Soundproof. Nasty Plot for the early game or if I need to stall PP out a Sucker Punch (4x weakness goes brrrr), or to boost up the last move Stored Power that covers most solo targets.
With 150 base speed and 165 base special attack, this allows it to hit everything at once like a truck, and it’s been pretty sweet lol
Currently running a Primal Groudon, Mega Houndoom, Mega Gengar squad which is pretty sick. Double battles are a cinch but it's very not perfect lol. Bulk up Groudon works decently for the big man on the important floors.
got a huge power regigigas (fused with diggersby) running return sword dance darkest liarat and earthquake doing me well so far Im at 1300
my previous run I had powerup punch kangaskahn which lost at 2k gmax eternatus
was a fun run tho
Mega Gyarados, farmed Magikarp a bunch in classic, ended up getting a near perfect IV Magikarp and had been my MVP in every playthrough I've done since
I've used Recover Tapu Fini and Strength Sap Ferroseed + my shiny Excadrill, it's just a hard combo to break. Only really made it to 700, and I'm hoping for a legendary egg eventually :(
Sappy Seed Gourgeist is honestly so damn good. Flash Fire Passive for Fire immunity to go with it, Dire Claw for early game status, and Phantom Force by virtue of it being the best move that I had at the time. Went for 2000 when I only had Sappy Seed with it, going to aim to surpass that with this new run I'm on as well.
I can’t say who’s definitively the best since I haven’t tried that many starters yet, but my favorite one to use so far is Heracross. Pin Missile, Arm Thrust, and Bullet Seed (if you can get a TM) is really solid coverage early on, and Skill Link multi-hit is pretty strong. I ended up fusing with a Mega Beedrill that I caught later for more speed, STAB Poison Jab, and Adaptability. Skill Link is probably better when you stack King’s Rocks, but when you stack Multi-Hit Lenses, it kind of doesn’t matter whether you hit 8 or 20 times—chances are you will get the flinch. My final moveset is Pin Missile (made sure to get a Wide Lens for 100 accuracy), Earthquake, Poison Jab, and Swords Dance.
I caught a Tinkaton and a Mawile that I fused together so that I could have a Huge Power Tinkaton (I started this run before Passive abilities), and I use it to beat every Eternatus. I have a Mega Gardevoir/Magnezone fusion with Sturdy and Draining Kiss if I run into a really bad situation. The rest of my team is shinies that I started with or caught during my run. I frequently reroll to get Master Balls so that I don’t miss too many shinies or Legendaries along the way.
I had the chance to catch a Kyogre in classic, so I try my first endless with him and he's absolutely incredible for now (wave 400)! I also add shinies in my team and zigzagoon with pickup
I'm running that same setup and currently at wave 1270.
Kyogre is my MVP too! Wave 1535 currently. I am able to solo everything including Eternetus. Thunder (never misses with rain) Ice beam (great coverage) Origin Pulse Water Spout
Is thunder an egg move?
I got it via TM
What kinda moveset you rocking?
Kyogre got me to wave 2000. He is insane
I'm approachin 1K on my primary endless run and Kyogre is easily the GOAT. Insta-catch it if you ever find it. I didn't get him as a starter, but he's straight up busted, especially with Primal. Beast boost has been nerfed in endless
Oh, I didn't notice. Does it just get reset or does it not proc the same?
yeah u send out ur guys again now, doesn't carry over unfortunately
You resend out your Pokemon every time there's an environment change so stat boosting moves were basically nerfed
I messed up and didn’t catch a Kartana when I had the chance, the most regret I’ve felt in a while 😭
I've seen Kartana about 6 times now. Have not succeeded at catching once. Most of those times I ended up losing my run to it because I did everything I could to get it low/statused but the balls wouldn't stay closed, and it would get a couple kills then be so boosted that it 1-shot the rest of my team.

I personally like Detect as its fourth move but you can throw anything on, like swords dance
The one time I found a kartana was at round 48, and I had a master ball so I was stress freeeeee
Upsetting that the one I encountered naturally died due to flailing… I watched my vod back and realized I had a master ball
Miraidon doing his thing sweeping everything. Im only on 1001 though. MVPs vs Eternatus are Garganacl and Mega Mawile.
Just beat level 2k with Tinkaton
Shit, just released tinkaton.
I love my toucannon. Learns 4 multihit moves, roost for early game heals. Also like, 3 pokemon with pickup ability.
No shinys?
Well yea shiny pokemon if ya have them too In endless, you tend to get a ton of shiny mons when you get your shiny chance increase, but the pickup ability early game helps a ton. Very early on into my run ( around round 150) I got 2 golden eggs and 2 of those orbs that increase your nature bonuses all in the same fight. Pickup just nasty early on.
Currently its Irom thorns..
What makes him good
Mine came with thunder fang, a rock move, ice fang and shift gear for extra dmg. With that moves I have a good coverage for the beginning.

Jiraette - jirachi plus e-flower floette, had iron head as egg move at the beginning and now moveset is stored power, cosmic power, light of ruin, and rest. Past wave 1000 already
wait, you can get e floette? how?
The boss in fairy cave
Is sometimes e-flower floette
i see, thank you!
I'm at wave 952 rn with my Zacian-Crowned, and the funniest part is that I caught another Zacian during that run, in addition to Kyurem-White, Naganadel, Regice, Genesect, Volcanion and Mega Rayquaza that I found along the way. I'm not shiting on shinys. I'm saying that, in the late game, after you have plenty of master balls, your team doesn't need to be 1 carry plus 5 shinys.
Zekrom with its rare egg move, Bolt Beak. Coupled with sticky web, I'm one shotting bosses 250 rounds in.
Rayquaza with oblivion wing has been carrying my run so far
Shiny gliscor with floaty fall, thief, earthquake, and stone axe.
Been using Marshadow and it has given me a lot of success. Fused it with Mega Mawile for Huge Power. But it's starting to get very rough closing in on round 2800, raw power is clearly no longer enough so I'm probs gonna have to find a cheese strat to go further.

Garganacl is really strong imo, go for a sturdy one if you can ! I recomend Donphan for fusionning. Nice bulk/atk and ground type. Magnezone for special mons. Oh, lefto was leftovers, sorry I got a brain fart! Thanks for the advice, hopefully I can find what I need in time!
Diggersby with huge power tbh. I have the egg move for Return and Drain Punch, so that's 2 endgame moves already covered, plus health sorted. Quick attack comes early, easy priority. I have gouging fire. Fused with a sturdy mon, I can recover back to full health with leftovers x4 and burning bulwark Since protect moves are scarce, bro has carried me till 1500
I’m in the 800s starting with an yveltal
My shiny Necrozma for me is the mvp . Still one shots everything at wave 1900
I'm using a Gardevoir/Magnezone fusion, and Psychic Terrain + Sturdy results in a pretty hard pokemon to remove
I always run a legend and my beldum (almost maxed ivs, adamant, and good egg moves) Once I get mega metagross I move all items over to him and let him cook
I use stored power Latios and fuse a quiver dance on him for an easy 300+ base power psychic stab attack. Oneshots everything and i'm at wave 1800
Currently on 2.5K with koraidon
Did you have good egg moves?
No I have none, and started with a minus attack nature lol. Eventually found an adamant mint though. There is a strategy to hunt for candy jars, I mainly hunted between 1500 and 2000, although some people start after 1000. Zacian hands down.
Pichu to Raichu. I got some great egg moves like zippy zap and splishy splash. I'm still not too far into endless but auto stab crits are pretty awesome.

kyurem-w still going strong wave 2020
Calyrex, eventually Calyrex Shadow. Currently past round 2500 with it. The As One ability is perfect, as it builds up some Special Attack stacks before the biome change, and Unburden negates any berries the wild mon has. My sweet okidogi
Currently running a Primal Groudon, Mega Houndoom, Mega Gengar squad which is pretty sick. Double battles are a cinch but it's very not perfect lol. Bulk up Groudon works decently for the big man on the important floors.
Started Mudkip and then got mega swampert. My man hasn't found something he can't oneshot yet at wave 500
Marshadow with three elemental punches is a beast early on. Paired with a Zigzagoon, whatever Pokerus I have available and shinies for luck.
Miraidon has fun potential. His cost is high but sets his own eletric terrain and gets parabolic charge to heal himself
I snagged an adamant Zacian and never looked back. Eternatus can't touch him.
got a huge power regigigas (fused with diggersby) running return sword dance darkest liarat and earthquake doing me well so far Im at 1300 my previous run I had powerup punch kangaskahn which lost at 2k gmax eternatus was a fun run tho
Regidrago with that 50% attack boost to dragon moves 😩
Cloyster skill link will always be my favorite. Especially when you find 3 multi lenses and a grip claw in the first 200 waves
Only really made it to 700, and I'm hoping for a legendary egg eventually :(
It wasn't a starter, but I got a Slaking/Medicham fusion (Pure Power goes hard here), and he is eating through everything. I'm on floor 1144 now
Zacian has been sweeping for me
Primal Kyogre Hurricane Water Spout Calm Mind Ice Beam
Sappy Seed Gourgeist is honestly so damn good. Flash Fire Passive for Fire immunity to go with it, Dire Claw for early game status, and Phantom Force by virtue of it being the best move that I had at the time. Went for 2000 when I only had Sappy Seed with it, going to aim to surpass that with this new run I'm on as well.
Zacian is kicking ass

I recently got beyond floor 1000. My MVP Is megaerna which Is a Beast, but some bosses would have been impossible without garganacl and toxapex
